Yummy as always. We shared a chicken korma, coconut rice, garlic naan and chapatti. Mixed pakora to start with and the cheese and honey dessert. I was unsure what to make of the description initially for the dessert, but I thought we could try it, and it was delicious, the cheese is perfect with the honey. Ignore the description, as it sounds like it would be savoury, but in reality it was sweet and very moreish.

Vegetable pakora was awful … hard to bite into, dry and didn’t taste fresh.

Very disappointed, whilst the product was good the temperature of the food was dreadful. All items had to be reheated in the microwave!! which was not ideal especially as we are advised not to reheat rice, chicken . Not what we expected from Bay Leaf bearing in mind cost of meal and Service Charge, the latter is a bit cheeky.

Delivery was quick. Food wasn’t the nicest, more spice than actual flavour and curry was very watery. Wouldn’t order again.

Positives: chicken was well cooked and tender. Chicken pakora, mushroom rice and garlic naan were perfect. Negatives: the kormas I like are pale yellow and bursting with butter and cream, this one was brown and tasted of lentil soup. Chips were not great. Delivery driver really friendly. Quick delivery even though weather was awful and its peak time. Not bad at all but probably wont order again due to the korma but if you dont order that then all good!

Ordered 3 different dishes, all of which were very tasty and plentiful. Only disappointment was the nan bread which was flat and overly doughy. Delivery took nearly an hour which was OK but hoped for quicker. Overall would order from them again as food was great.

Ordered Christmas Eve for an early dinner at home. I normally use Zaika as I am new to the area, but had to make other arrangements - and I could not be more delighted! The food was authentic, flavoursome and we had the opportunity to try some unusual dishes that we have not seen before. We ordered a number of starter dishes and the chicken tikka was next level with a good amount of heat and charred edges. A special call out to the lamb chops which delivered on so many flavours and were cooked to perfection. My 8yr old son also gave the korma a huge thumbs up. Naans were thin and crispy edges, the rice fluffy and popadoms were an added treat with a selection of delicious sauces. The mains were spectacular from the seafood to the lamb which was tender and moorish. Praise all round from a diverse audience and we will be coming to visit very soon to enjoy your in-house hospitality.

Meal Luke warm garlic Nan cold couldn’t tract delivery re time

Really tasty food. Gave me free spiced onions and extra poppadoms, which was really kind of them. I asked for lots of garlic butter on my naan bread and they did just that 👍

After years of being a faithful, happy customer I had an incredibly negative takeaway experience with The Bay Leaf in Pumpherston. The meal was cold and rubbery. It took the business around a week to offer me 50% off my next meal - no thanks!

Delivery was early and food was great, however they did not read delivery instructions. What is the point of putting deliver to back door if they don’t read it!

The food was real good I have order paratha and chana curry good taste and the paratha was amazing

Chasni was very sweet tasting and veg pakora was quite tasteless.

Love Indian, and maybe chose wrong meals to our taste, but both were not nice, went in the bucket. Back to reliable Aroma.

Phoned for home delivery they said 45mins had to phone a hour later asking where it was they said they would have a word to kitchen staff ??I told them I have already paid by card then they said it will be 10mins it was 20mins they gave us free poppadoms and chicken pakoras tasted like chicken nuggets and 2 sauces won't be ordering from there again

Took ma daughter in for a wee curry the night of her birthday,I had been told this place was good and now a confirm ,it was superb will be returning olso noticed they do take aways olso I can see the 15 minutes drive just to collect,lovely staff quality food.

i recieved a butter chicken tonight which tasted like heinz tomato soup which had been boiled until it was so concentrated it tasted bitter and so very very salty. absolutley horrible. the veg pakora also had a very salty after taste too. phoned resteraunt who tell me they have tasted sauce and it is fine. how? i ordered the same items last time and it was lovely. as usual just eat not contactable. ive sent a message but how do you photograph vile tasting food? not happy. ive just wasted £25.

Good food, as per usual, very good, good starters main taste was brilliant unfortunately lacking in meat in both dishes but will go again the bill reflected the meat and lack of which was a very generous gesture from the management.

Visited the Bay Leaf for the first time with my mum and dad, food was really good and service was great, I will definitely be back.

Ordered korma and vindaloo. Torn on this order as vindaloo was very nice, korma had no flavour and had to be replaced and sent back. Upset the whole meal.

1 time there, I enjoyed my meal, but my kids did not hit it off with their selection. But I would go back or will be back to try more on the menu.

We got three family meals vindaloo madras & korma I don't know what it was but was korma my daughterinlaw phoned got another curry.my madras was not atall spicy but I ate it cldnt be bothered with waiting.my sons vindaloo was perfect & nan breads.been getting takeaway from here for years but so let down paying all that money 😔.

The most disgusting korma I have ever tasted. Called the restaurant to give them the opportunity to deliver another meal or refund. They refused to do either. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Visited here with family some of us had a la carte, some had buffet. The a la carte menu is excellent but there were some grumps & groans from some about the buffet. I was a chef a long time ago so from a professional viewpoint if a la carte is offered, take it! I will definitely visit again.

basmati rice over cooked, sticky clumps. have had much tastier tandoori chicken tikka, and order notes missed for a milder balti sauce. sauce was nice just a bit spicy. garlic naan good.

Waited well over an hour for a delivery on Tuesday night. Call to ask about my order only to be talked down to on the phone telling me the driver has been out 3 times and called 3 times and left voicemail. I had been sat looking out of the window with my phone waiting on my £75 order. Then I was told make sure you answer your door!!! Over and over again. Absolutely disgusting the way I was spoken down to on the phone.

I went for a buffet dinner on Sunday. Food was authentic Indian food.

Absolutely horrible saag alo, was loaded with potatoes and dried out completely, absolutely not worth £10, the veg pakora hard as a rock £6 for something we didnt even finish, was so dried and hard, barely any veggies in it. Food was called, poppadoms all crushed into pieces. So disappointed, especially because I ordered before and it was never this bad!

Had a lovely dinner with my grandson there as a treat for my birthday.

Food was lovely really great, collection time was set for 20 mins which was acceptable, however got an email after 5 mins to say it was ready, concerned then that my food was sitting in a hot cupboard too long before collection.

My son’s dish never came in the order and had to end up cooking for him!

First time in this restaurant and all I can say is we will be back . Beautiful food

Phoned after nearly two hours to be told that the delivery drives had knocked twice and phoned me. No phone call though. When he eventually came back he phoned and said what number he was at as he didn’t know where our number was. But had apparently knocked twice? Not good service for spending over £50!!!

Some items were missing from the order and no point asking for them as you would get them an hour after you had eaten the stuff that been delivered. Should really get a Full refund when things like this happen..

We get a delivery from here at least once a month. It's always fresh, always hot, always on time and always delicious!!!

Hi, Last Saturday(17-feb-24), I was ordered murag punjabi handi and take collection option by myself, I feel the quality wise food was good only the problem that when I eaten got one Lamb piece in chicken handi it was really surprising me. Rest all are good for me, like packaging and delivery time. Thanks

Used to be a favorite place, gone downhill ..food so bad, pakora are rotten. Doughy horrible things..we made the mistake of going one Sunday not knowing it was a buffet night. Ordered from the menu, server was so rude as he couldn't be bothered. Plus the clientele that were in that night looked like junkies, jail bait and all manner of misfits. Wont go back EVER.

When drinks are overpriced, you expect them to arrive when you pay for them.

Always unreal food never disappointed

Very fast delivery. The issue we had was our Tikka Masala and butter chicken were very spicy! we love our spice and expected some spice from these dishes however this was unedible in the end. Just eat said we would get free pakora for spending more than £30 and everytime we said yes to it just eat would try charging us. must be a problem on just eat for that.

It was absolutely exceptional we ordered here last night. The order came quite quickly as they said it would. When the order arrived, everything was there and tasted amazing. Everything we ordered was 10/10. It's easily the best Indian food we've had in a long time. We are definitely going back soon. Highly highly recommend this restaurant.

I tried to provide direct feedback to the restaurant before writing a Google review - no response. I felt that the meal wasn't as good as usual and felt unwell during the night and the next day. I know how serious the Bayleaf prides itself on the quality of food and have been impressed before. Unfortunately, poor customer service and mediocre food this time left me feeling very disappointed and doubt I would return.

Nice location. Romantic and good for couples. It's still good for a bigger crowd as well. It was refurbished and looked very stylish, in the same moment not very "Indian." At least no elefants or I just missed them?

Got a takeaway order. So disappointed. 1st order arrived, ordered 3 papadums, they were all crushed to small bits, The pakora was solid, couldn't bite into them. Called up and they offered to swap the meal, packed it all back up and waited on the 2nd delivery. Still am unsure as to what arrived that was meant to be pakora, never had anything like it. Naan bread was just cooked and no more, no tasty tandoori toasted bread.

The onion bhaji was good however the madras was ridiculously oily and salty and nowhere near spicy enough. I've never had a madras that's tasted this way before. Really disappointed. I even had someone else taste it to confirm and they agreed it just tasted like salt. Nothing else.

Went for something to eat nice place staff friendly and helpful. The food was good too, I will be back.
