Popped in today while my daughter was at a party. I was blown away at how delicious the food was, I had a ham and cheese toastie that was next level - really smoky ham, oozy cheese and sweet chili sauce. Then had a choc chip cookie slice filled with marshmallow fluff. Heaven! Chai late was top notch too! Highly recommend. I’ll be back even though I’m not from the town!

I love Basil and Blue! I had, had a really rough week so took myself to Basil and Blue to cheer myself up. After I ordered my coffee they informed me a gentleman had ‘paid forward’ a coffee and therefore my coffee was free. Faith in humanity restored. A very special coffee shop indeed. Thanks all.

Have been meaning to pop in for a coffee or lunch here as it looks very cosy, didn't realise the space at the back, plenty of seating. My nephew Nathan asked if I fancied going out for a coffee today and off we went and we ended up at Basil and Blue. We had a Turmeric Latte which was very nice and a lovely cheese and ham toastie. Very pleasant atmosphere and the staff very friendly will definitely be returning.

The cafe is nice building with mostly outdoor seating in a small courtyard garden, situated in a pretty location. The chai latte was good, a bagel with cheese, pink salami and gherkin was a little underwhelming. The cakes looked nice. A delivery lorry blocked the view from the cafe and unloaded boxes onto the other end of our table. This did mar what would have been a pleasant location.

You can expect consistently great coffee and delicious ciabattas but it is the friendly team here that make it really special.

First time in this wonderful cafe. It's so cosy and welcoming with fabulous courtyard seating. The coffee was lovely and the best bacon roll I had in years! The staff were fabulous and couldn't do enough for you! A real gem of a find and definitely will be back!

We had been meaning to try here for some time as have been past often and it looked really popular. It is a tiny coffee shop with a large courtyard out the back. Very quirky and charming. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Only had coffee so can’t say about the food but will definitely recommend.

Can you please tell me why after queuing for 10 minutes, we are then told it's a 10 minute wait for a cup of tea? It’s water in a cup with a bag and some milk. This is because, and I quote ‘there are lots of other people waiting for drinks’ I checked, there were 4. We go to lots of different places for drinks in Surrey and this is the first time it’s happened anywhere. We want to support small & independent business, but what’s the point if you don’t want our business. We will return, however to see if this incident was just a one off.

Even though we arrived just behind a group of cyclists, we were served quickly and both the coffee and the food we ordered were delicious- even ordered a 2nd cup of coffee as the first was so good.

Friendly service and tasty food. Even in January it is cosy with blankets and hot water bottles provided.

I had wanted to visit this cafe for a while and I wasn’t disappointed. The coffee was very good and I’m very particular about a flat white. The brownie was also delicious. Free 1 hour parking behind the cafe in a car park bordering a heath, handy for a walk after eating cake!

Went to Basil and Blue this morning for coffee and a bacon butty. Delicious! I didn’t realise that B&B had a new owner and was pleasantly surprised by the new courtyard at the back of the premises. Lovely umbrellas and cosy sheepskin fleeces to sit on. Well done to all the delightful ladies working there.

Had a delicious toasted sandwich here today. Nearly all tables are outside and we found space at the counter inside. Perfect.

We've walked past it on the way from the car park many a time but this time stopped for lunch. The service was helpful and friendly, the toasties and coffee very good indeed. Not many tables - none inside but a few under cover (with heaters if required) but we got one OK. Hope it's as good next time.

We popped in to ask where the antique shop was that we had hoped to look round this afternoon. We were given very helpful directions but sadly the place was closed! We looked round Chobham and returned to the cafe which had just closed. The two lovely ladies made us takeaway teas with flapjacks (which were yummy) while they put the tables and chairs away - made our day 😊 Would definitely recommend and revisit ourselves...

I cycle with a group of baby boomer old timers twice a week and Basil and Blue is now our preferred coffee stop. The coffee is double shot, service is good and the friendly staff remember our quirky order from week to week. We like the small courtyard at the back of the shop.

A mediocre little place close to the road. Weak tea in paper cups wasn’t very inspiring, but this was a pit stop for us so we weren’t too bothered. Doubt if I’d eat here.

Just a simple "caf" but with great quality food and the staff are charming and attentive. You get a large plate full of food. It's definitely worth a visit, and you will go back!

Seems to be refreshed decor, nice pub, bar man needs to cheer up though, right misery.
