We held our engagement party here. The food was amazing and the staff were so helpful, friendly, and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble, they did a great job of catering to the dietary requirements in our group and all our guests commented on how well looked-after they were. Absolutely brilliant across the board, can’t thank the team at Baserri enough!

Speechless. Pushes the boundaries on all culinary fronts. This restaurant is beyond amazing. Adding to this review as I have been here many times over the past year. Each visit offers the same exceptional experience: flawless service and innovative dishes that take your taste buds on a journey to be remembered. Well done to the lovely owners and staff.

My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday treat and I can honestly say it was the best meal I’ve had in a long time, along with the service. The waitress and waiter were very attentive and I really enjoyed how they not only explained the menu, but made a conscious effort to pronounce everything properly. An overall fantastic experience, a hidden gem in Leamington and I’m already trying to find another excuse to go!!

This IS the best restaurant in Leamington hands down, we’ve had the pleasure of visiting a number of times and can honestly say that the atmosphere, attention to detail and the locally sourced food is fantastic, if your looking for something a bit special look no further.

We had an amazing Saturday evening, vibrant atmosphere with very attentive staff. The food is phenomenal – the best Spanish restaurant we've been to!

We were disappointed. We had waited until our 'foodie' friends stayed to enjoy this 'new kid on the block'. The restaurant is well appointed with a good atmosphere. However the service is quite bizarre. We felt that we were waiting for appointed times to get our wine menu. menu etc. We arrived at 720 for a 730 table but did not get anyone to come to the table until 730. We then got a drinks menu a few minutes later but no menu. We mentioned that we couldn't choose the wine until we had a menu but no menu arrived until a while after the wine had been ordered. We didn't get any food not even bread until 835pm! The wait between the starter and the main was long and by 1015 we had only had two courses and we then had a wait until the dessert menu arrived by which time we decided we didn't have enough time to have a dessert before our ordered taxi. Maybe if you go later the service is better as we noted diners who came later 'caught us up'. There is no vegetarian main course at all and no potatoes with anything even as a side which is strange since Spain has so may patatas dishes and my son lives in Spain and we always seem to have potatoes with everything when we eat there. We had croquetas for a starter which were bland, anchovies which consisted of about 8 small anchovies on a plate with no accompaniment and Spanish omelets again quite bland. Our main course of monkfish was overcooked sitting on a watery bed of spinach with some rubbery bacon and our guests beef dish was two large pieces of beef with a very small bowl of parmentier - all in all it was disappointing and it cost us £135 for two for two courses and a bottle of wine - not good value for what we got. Sadly we won't be returning.

I had the crab, prawns and mussels. All of these dishes had way too much added salt which was totally overbearing. Everything was just too salty. Also the mussels did taste a bit older than they should have tasted whilst the sauce was too acidic and not sufficiently reduced. The service, wine and atmosphere were very good but the food let the experience down. I did not complain as i was not in the mood to do so so I cant say how the restaurant would have reacted to my feelings but as the food is the main reason I go to higher end restaurants, I wouldn’t return. I would like to add my partner did like his food but he is a huge salt lover so go figure. The cheesecake we had was very good as well just to be balanced, but when you pay these prices you just expect everything to be good!

Being Basque we decided to go to a Basque restaurant in Leamington Spa. If you close your eyes the food transports you to Bilbao. My son, who has lived in London for 12 years, said it was the best food he had eaten in the UK since he arrived. Congratulations Baserri!!! Keep going like this!!!

We had a really lovely meal here and we’ll definitely return. Food was amazing. Staff were super cool. The atmosphere was friendly. There’s not a lot of tables and we had to wait 2 weeks to get a booking on a Friday so you need to book in advance. It’s a little pricey but worth it. Highly recommended.

Best tapas place you will find. I’m Spanish and I almost cried eating ‘croquetas’ , the hake ( Bilbao style ) and the brioche pudding. The produce is fantastic and you won’t be disappointed. This place brought back many happy memories from Spain and I hope to return soon! Congratulations to the chef/owners!

This restaurant is great for special occasions, groups and dates. There are plenty of starters to choose from that can be served as tapas, great for sharing and trying new things. The service and atmosphere were also very nice. The place is small and elegant. We shared a few starters , and I would particularly recommend the octopus, the white asparagus and the mushroom croquettes. Make sure to leave room for dessert as the Basque Cheesecake is outstanding. Bookings, especially for weekends, are required weeks in advance.

A great experience! Very welcoming restaurant with wonderful staff. Service was very quick and the atmosphere felt relaxing and comfortable . The food was delicious and I really liked and recommend the squid with black ink sauce and the cheesecake. Would definitely recommend to others!

An excellent celebration lunch — crab, lamb, cheese plate and rice pudding. All accompanied by interesting wines, with friendly and attentive .

Walked pass Baserri many times but for some reason never thought to eat there. Then a friend recommended it, we went and boy do I wish we had been sooner. Excellent menu, slightly different from what I was expecting but all the better for it. There were four of us and everyone was delighted with what they chose. Good choice of wine, well priced and the service was just right.

Best Spanish food in Leamington! We have been there a couple of times and everything is delicious, the staff is really friendly and nice atmosphere. My top 3 highlights are the croquetas, cochinillo and the cheesecake!

Visited on a Friday lunchtime and were delighted that we did. Booking advised. A relaxing environment and friendly helpful staff bring delicious food. The croquettes to start were absolutely delicious - crisp shells and creamy fillings. We had Hake and Monkfish as our mains. Beautifully cooked and delicious. Dessert was the fabulous Basque cheesecake and the caramelised rice pudding. This night a place to expect huge plates of food, bit you can be assured of delicious flavours and clean presentation.

I don’t usually write reviews but I had to write this and I will keep it simple - the best food experience I’ve had in leamington! This is a gem of place for anyone who wants to experience fine dining.

Highly recommended. We went to Baserri for a dinner, cuz we are also recommended by my friends, it was a totally correct decision to go there. High quality food, warm service, nice atmosphere, etc. we ordered 6 dishes in total, I would say the grilled octopus and lamb are really impressive, for the dessert I go for basque cheesecake, which are all really authentic and tasty. If you are still considering about whether to go or not, please do have a try👍🏻

I loved EVERYTHING at Baserri today. I went with my husband, my little one and my Bella 🐾 for a Saturday lunch out and it was far over our expectations. Kind and professional service, superb food and stylish interior. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Easily the meal you can have in Leamington.

Saw Baserri on the Love Leam Instagram and it did not disappoint. Wonderful service, fab wine recommendation, pork was beautifully cooked and cheesecake was incredible!

A real gem ! Eventually a real Spanish place, Beautiful and welcoming new little restaurant, modern and super clean lay out , the food is simply amazing and super fresh few choices in the menu but beautifully cooked, clearly it’s quality vs quantity , the attention to the ingredients is clear and magnified by the simplicity of the dishes, overall the best Spanish experience in the Warwickshire / West Midlands area. We look forward to another visit soon

This is not about tapas, this is a restaurant. A truly Spanish corner in heart of Leam. From the runny omelette to the croquettes to the rice pudding. If you are familiar with Spanish food you’ll know this is the real thing. Small menu that allows fresh produce and some recipes difficult to find outside Spain. We, Spaniards can tell when it’s good, hope everyone else can as well.

Best spanish food in the area BY FAR! I am Spanish and this is truly authentic cuisine. The cheff is basque and the menu presented food specifically from that region. U can’t not try the scallops, cheesecake, croquettes, pan con tomate, anchiovies and octopus. Excellent food, lovely wine and great enviroment!

2 couples went for a Saturday lunch after many many recommendations and conversations with the owners. My goodness me it was SO worth it. The food was sublime. We shared tapas for starters and then 4 main course each which we all shared. The croquette starters were the best I've had in my life. All the mains were amazing, and the desserts too.. It was a faultless meal. The best I've had in a long long time. I was asked recently, what I would eat for my last meal on earth.. I couldn't answer specifically, but I said if I had as much fun and good food as I had in this restaurant I would be a very very happy man.

Absolutely the best restaurant I have eaten at in Leamington Spa! The food is amazing and the service friendly and highly professional. Recommend the vegetable salad with prawns and tuna and the Beef Cheeks . The Cava was high quality and served at the perfect temperature!. The ambience is quietly sophisticated. In this Spanish-inspired restaurant the care for detail is astounding. Every starter and every main is beautifully presented; then magic happens when tasted.. Simply one of the best fine restaurants in the area. The wine list is also appropriate, a careful selection that matches perfectly the art in the plate in front of you. Enjoy!

Delicious new Spanish restaurant in Leamington; food tasted fantastic and you can tell the ingredients are high quality, so be prepared to spend a little bit more (you won't regret it though). As a group of 4 we had a lovely meal, and will be back soon. Only 2 small comments: as most of the mains need some sort of side dish, it would be nice to see more options on the menu, and 2-3 aperitif suggestions would be a lovely way to start your meal.

Lovely new restaurant in Leamington spa. We had a great dinner with my friends , the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. And the food was nicely presented and very tasty. I am not a big fan of mushrooms, but the croquettes were delicious ! I had the grilled octopus, and it was cooked to perfection. The peppers as a side were sooo tasty. The only downside is the prices , it is quite expensive for the small portion you get... but you can tell is it good quality product. So for the big eater be prepared so spend quite a bit of money , but its worth it. Will be back to try more dishes !

Visited for lunch with my husband excellent food with top class produce in a lovely setting. Will definitely return!

One of the best meals out I have been to for some time. This was a lunchtime, midweek visit. It was therefore pretty quiet, however the friendly atmosphere and slight buzz, I guess getting ready for the evening service, meant we didn’t feel uncomfortable or like we were being watched all the time. The food was probably some of the best I have eaten for a long time. We had croquettes, which I could have eaten a bucket of, and lamb, and the wife had monkfish. The lamb was spot on, and the monkfish I stole from my wife was excellent. However, the puddings were the highlight, I had the brioche pudding - it was incredible, with a crunchy crème brûlée crust. This place deserves a bib gourmand if not a star (though I hope it doesn’t so we can still go without a reservation).

The taste of food, is really good. BUT the level of service is no where near the price, horrible. It took them 15-20min for someone to finally come and take the 1st drinks order. As this is a relatively new restaurant in leamington spa, I was trying to get the attention of the service lady who sat me and my family down to understand the concept (tapas or not). “I will be with you right away and never turned up”. This place was either under staffed or the restaurant manager doesn’t know how to keep the guests going if they are too busy. The only saving grace was another lady of Asian ethnicity who works there finally after I did mention something really took good care of us. Was attentive and tried to fix the bad start. I’ve had dinner at Ritz / Fat Duck etc as well as places run by locals in leamington Spa where the service is so hospitable. Service is all about making the customer feel like they are looked after and not just avoided. And also we do not have a meal for free, if it’s free I’ll happily wait for hrs to even get a glass of water. This place needs to get their methods thought through of what needs to happen when a booked customer walks in; to who handles what tables or the number of tables per staff member. What needs to be done 1st. Get the table some drinks, keep them going till we take the food order etc. something simple and not customers wait twidling their thumbs.

WOW! We Visited during the second week of this place opening. What a great experience, from the moment we walked in! Greeted with a friendly and warm welcome, seated in a very comfortable and ambient restaurant and served some of the best Spanish food we've had in the UK! You could tell other guests felt the same as the feel to the place was so chilled and everyone was having a fantastic time. Would highly recommend! The seafood, fish and pork dishes are amazing, the tortilla starter is literally the best I've ever had. I opted for the cheesecake desert and I need to eat it again! Insane! The wine selection and Cava paired really well with our food. Not too expensive, but not too cheap, the perfect balance for an evening meal. Will be going again!

We went there for a Sunday lunch and I felt like I was on holiday! The decor is absolutely beautiful (as beautiful as the owner). The food was delicious and we couldn’t rate any dish higher than the other (all delicious). We opted for seafood tapas and ordered the hake, prawns (so juicy and full of flavour), omelette, tuna and prawn salad, octopus and tomato bread. We ended the meal with the brioche and orange desert which was incredible!

A wonderful addition to the restaurant scene in Leamington. Great tapas and mains plus interesting wines and lovely decor. Highly recommended!

Super friendly and personal service at a lovely Spanish restaurant in central Leamington. Good choice of starters, including some Spanish classics were delicious. In such a stylish atmosphere and decor the main courses were the perfect antidote to the generous starters. We enjoyed the tomato on sourdough, the croquettes and Iberian meats. The service is super friendly and we have booked again.
