Barcelona Bistro Tapas Bar en Ashton en Makerfield había sido recomendado por amigos y no nos han decepcionado. Increíble comida sabrosa, preparada y servida por una familia genuina de Barcelona. El servicio estaba listo. Como no aceptan reservas, nunca tuviste la sensación de ser apresurado a través del servicio. Y hemos tenido la suerte de estar allí, cuando María la chef cocinaba su Paella, lo que solo ocurre los miércoles, jueves y domingos Definitivamente volveremos de nuevo

Por debajo del promedio del costo. Sin embargo, no pedimos tapas, pero pedimos los pinchos de carne. Con un pollo, un cordero y una ternera. Estos eran extremadamente pequeños para el costo, conteniendo cada uno tres pequeños cortes de carne. ¡Las patatas en una eran 'frigorífico frío' las mismas patatas en otra caliente! No vale 15 libras cada uno. El lugar es pequeño y bien y el personal encantador. Pero es poco probable que vuelva a ir.

Tuvimos un tiempo fantástico Sábado por la noche cuando llegamos a comer, nos habían recomendado el bar de tapas y no decepcionó. Recibimos un servicio muy amable y realmente disfrutamos de la comida, sin duda volveremos 😀👍

Really disappointing! We ordered probably 10 dishes and most were really poor. I’ll start by stating that the Ta Ann Tomaquet was meant to be toasted but was simply slices of baguette very thinly covered in tomato and no oil, it was so thinly covered it was semi transparent and soggy! The crab claws weren’t crab and had no flavour whatsoever. The smoked salmon had no seasoning or dressing and came with 6 more slices of the thinly covered baguette, the potato bravas was not at all like the Italians or Spanish produce and the rest of the dishes were marginally better. I won’t be going here again, and if you like good Spanish food I’d suggest you avoid here. Whilst it was clear we ordered too much this was based on high hopes it was going to be good but it really was poor.

What an absolute gem of a place! 5** Amazing food and fantastic staff. I will definitely be going back again and would recommend anyone to go and try the authentic Spanish cuisine and atmosphere. Muchas gracias for a lovely evening and hasta pronto

Visited a few weeks ago lovely staff lovely atmosphere food was okay. We will visit again but the price of a bottle of wine is way too expensive. £27 for a rioja which you can buy from the supermarket for £8. I really don't mind paying for wine in restaurants you expect to pay a high price but in our opinion the price is way too expensive for the type of wine on offer. This should definitely be reduced. We were a table of 4 with two bottles meaning we were charged £54 for two bottles of supermarket wine. Felt a bit ripped off which is a real shame. Certainly spoiled our experience.

Delicious food, amazing family run tapas bar. Everything was packed with flavour. Cooked fresh , presented well. Great value . Great atmosphere. Great family. Wheelchair accessible too . Favourite dish was sautéed mushrooms , Spanish omelette to be honest we loved it all

Cracking little place to visit! Be aware you can’t book and it’s becoming a very popular place but it’s worth the wait! Food was lovely and the staff really friendly. Visit and you’ll enjoy it. Will be returning soon. We had tapas and the potato cubes with chorizo was amazing

Very friendly staff, fantastic food, great wine . A really enjoyable evening. Staff were attentive and ready to make suggestions and adaptations to the menu to ensure we fully enjoyed the experience . The chef was extremely knowledgable and was happy to spend time with us after the meal to talk about how he creates the fantastic food. Definitely be returning and very soon .

A gem of a place. The food is wonderful and the staff are warm and friendly. The dishes are all freshly prepared, and so not all served simultaneously. The service is quick so the food just keeps coming. All of the tapas we tried were excellent and the desserts were delicious too. We will definitely return.

We visited tonight and I have to say the whole experience was excellent the food,staff and atmosphere couldn't fault any of it, reasonably priced too will definitely be going again.

My wife and I visited with our friends this week, we were met with a lovely welcome by the staff. The food was very authentic and atmosphere very relaxed just like an authentic Spanish tapas bistro. We can only recommend and will be back soon.

Barcelona tapas is a very intimate dining experience. But for a restaurant with less than ten tables the service was below par, we had to ask for drinks, food and the bill ourselves. The food however was delightful, very generous portions of lovely food, and it didn’t break the bank. For 4 of us with 4 pints and 2 soft drink it was less than £80, which I can’t fault, but the service was lacking. For such a small restaurant you’d expect the staff to be on the ball, but this just didn’t seem to be the case. Overall food 5/5, service 2.5/5

Visited on an early Sunday evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and easy going, food was fabulous, so much so that we had a second round of dishes. Staff were polite and friendly and the sangria was really special. Such a delightful addition to Ashton.
