Awesome little bar, quiet when we went in but still a great drinking experience. The devor is quirky as well.

Way more expensive than anywhere else either locally or even in the centre of Leeds! We were charged £13.45 for a pint of lager and a glass of Prosecco. Needless to say we won’t be returning! I know prices have risen but the equivalent round in 5 other bars in Saltaire was under £10

Empty bar when we went on a Friday evening around 8pm. Asked what ingredients were in the special cocktail but the waitress didn't know. Fine cocktail but expensive for what it was. Won't return in a hurry.

Great little place , some nice beer too

Our first visit here. Barman's food arrived shortly after we did and he sat eating it at the end of the bar. Really poor. No atmosphere, not welcoming. Unbelievable.

Looks inviting from outside However... We do not like places which have TV screens, it's very off putting for conversation and atmosphere...there isn't any is there?. We don't like watching sports on TV so this put us off...and not only one but TWO TV screens...a definate no no! Then to add further misery the girl serving drinks behind the bar did nothing but continuously play with her long blonde hair, hands sleeking it back, tying it up into a pony tail, it's just not the sort of thing that someone does in a place serving beverages or food. We didn't stay too long. Sorry to sound negative but if the TV screens were to go and the staff stop fiddling about with their hair ... then I'd rate this place much higher than I have. Beers were fine.

We went there on Friday 27/9/2019 approx 21.30 it was dead and not surprising why...between 4 of us we got 2 pints and 2 half pints of lager from 2 different lager pumps!!! They looked and tasted exactly the same as in rolla cola type lager I have been drinking lager for 30 years and mine which should have been Amstel was definitely not. My guess is these clowns are selling cheap lager as branded and I bet the pipes run into the same barrel.

Nice place with friendly staff and nice selection of drinks. Can lack atmosphere when there aren't many people in and get noisy when its busy.

Two's company and 3's a crowd. And 3 really is a crowd in here. The bar is tiny. It's that noisy you have to use sign language to get your order in. But would I visit again? Yes I think I would.

Smart newish bar, good service, but no real ale

We called in for a drink before we went for something to eat on Friday night. I liked the decor and the atmosphere, and a very good place to people watch!

Great cocktails - lots to choose from, well made and tasty. Great spot on the main street in Saltaire, near other bars and restaurants, and just a short walk up from the train station

We popped in to watch one of the England games because the Rosse a couple of doors down was packed and it was impossible to get served in there or even fit into the place. It is a strange place if I’m honest. The beer is not very inspiring.. at all. When I asked the guy behind the bar if he had an IPA in the fridge he didn’t know what I was talking about. There were only 8 people or so in the place so we were able to watch the game easily. I saw someone order a pizza and it didn’t look too bad to be fair.

Brilliant service and great food. Seven of us when for a meal and all had the food was amazing. Tasty and fresh. Great value.

Bar 56 is a great place it has friendly and helpful staff and tasty good food and an enormous selection of drinks ypu should definitely go there.

Called in to watch European Championship Final. Bar was crowded but the service was good and the staff friendly.

Decent bar and it sells Sagres!

Nice place. Barman very friendly, gave us a bowl of water for our dog.

I have eaten here several times and each time the food has been very good and tasty. The guy behind the bar is nice and friendly. Called in a few times for a drink on my own and haven't felt uncomfortable.

Pointless bar with no soul and seems like it was opened to make some money with no real thought what it is supposed to be. Been a number of times and keep wanting to give it another chance but every time it just seems worse. Also every time I go in there are a couple who are really loud and annoying with stupid laughs. Other bars in saltaire are better. Used to be the KFC and would still rather have that then this place

We visited with some friends in the mid afternoon. It's really a bar which has a separate area for food. Menu is a little limited. However, two of us had the freshly made pizza and two of us had tapas, both of which were very good and great value. The environment is a little low rent, but staff were friendly and customer focused.

I pass this place often, and it's often deserted. Understandably so, as when I eventually called in for a drink, I found a very poor selection on offer, and settled for a half of some tasteless and overpriced 'foreign' lager. Perused the menu, but found nothing appealing on it; and wouldn't want to eat in a brashly furnished glass box with a view of a busy main road anyway. I'm sure some people would enjoy the ambience, on a busy night, if they've had a drink somewhere else; but there are much better places very nearby.

It was ok. Nice stop off. Couldn't see myself staying all night.

Visited Bar 56 on Friday to meet up with friends. We were made welcome and comfortable and enjoyed our meal from a varied menu. We'll certainly come again. Thank you.

The best bar in Saltaire, for friendly service, excellent tapas and cocktails. Secret ingredients in the cocktails and pizzas make for great food and drink.

Visited Bar 56 with my friends on Tuesday 27th. We arrived about 7ish and got a nice quiet table at the back where we could catch up. The staff were nice and the food was good - one of the girls wanted mayo but they don't do sauce so would just suggest keeping some in. All in all a good experience!!

Fantastic pizza's, great staff, will definitely be back. Pizza and pasta £5.95, but would have paid the price on the menu!!

Only been the once. They were out of some ingredients for the pizza we wanted, but told us before hand so we were able to change our order. Was a nice pizza and good venue.

Had been in before for drinks but wanted to try their pizzas, so we called in on a Friday evening to give them a go. We weren't disappointed. Pizzas were cooked fresh and tasted great. My husband had a calzone, which came with the sauce separate, so you could put on as you required. I had pizza Capri, which was really tasty. Quick friendly service. Two glasses of wine, two pints and 2 pizzas £27.00. Good value for money we felt and we will definitely be back.

enjoyed the fish sandwich with real chips and eggs benedict a change from the usual lunchtime menu well presented too.

we visited twice on the same night but only for drinks. It was very popular, and there was a good choice of drinks. The food menu looked good too, so we may eat there at some point in the future (although choice was mainly pizza and tapas). It was very busy the second time that we went, so was a bit noisy but no different to lots of other pubs and bars in a Saturday night

Called in for a Sunday afternoon drink on a sunny day. The bar was dark, dull and empty. The friendly bar man served us and we stayed to finish our drink but quickly moved on to somewhere else

If you enjoy the smell the of urine, being cramped into a corner and the potential of becoming ill from drinking out of the glasses this is the place for you.

Well it's about time for a change in Saltaire and here it is. Nice pizza and Pasta meat platter and tapas. It was lovely just enough although too much. Finding it hard to hold my phone as I'm stuffed. But anyway back to it. Go try it guys. Also our bill for 3 of was about £21 and all cooked fresh so the wait is worth waiting for. Watched football there a few times and there's a nice welcoming atmosphere about the place. Not too keen on the beers but all the weird lagers are the rage at the moment so it's only going with trend. If it keeps as it's going though has the potential to become pretty well established.

Plenty of space for us to meet up and a nice place to get together ideal for a drink whilst wandering around saltaire.

i visited here with my family one Saturday afternoon where we had delicious pizzas and pasta. the same night my wife and i return to attend a small celebration. A fantastic wine bar with great staff and service will definitely go back.

Went for a drink before heading for a meal across the road. Really wasn't impressed, the decor looks like it was done to a budget. A lot of beers, but random in choice.

Tried it just a few weeks after it had opened and had a lovely relaxing Saturday afternoon. Not a great deal of vegetarian choice but the pizza I had was fantastic. A fairly eclectic selection of drinks, great service and pleasing but unobtrusive music. Will definitely go again.

Great position but seems to have been fit out on a budget. Strange selection of beers, to be fair I struggled to find one I recognised. Was quite busy but a Friday night so expected it to be. With a bit of polish this could be a good destination amongst a number of others

Went today having been in before just for drinks. Service excellent from the lady from Colorado , pizzas fantastic and cooked fresh to order . Beers different from most places . Most certainly a welcome addition to Saltaire will visit again !

Excellent food and great value. Called in here after work with friends. Warm friendly atmosphere and staff. Lovely cocktails too. Calzone Kiev was a real winner. Had to loosen my belt a notch afterwards. :-)
