One of the best meals I've had excellent food and service staff are brilliant

Had food at bar 141 meany times now. The food is top top quality cooked to perfection the potion size is massive!! I do eat out a lot and like to try new places. Bar 141 always draws me back. Fabulous menu loads of choice quality five star.

Visited today and i had the Thai red curry on top of a Nan Bread with rice and chips, to me it was more of a Indian type curry rather than Thai curry, it was nice and plenty of it a huge portion it was way to much for me, the staff were really friendly and welcoming and would definitely go back, the prices are good value and I would definitely recommend you book before turning up as it was really busy on a Wednesday afternoon.

Had a lunchtime meal today with 8 colleagues. Everyone enjoyed the food and commented what a good choice it was. When we booked we explained that we were coming from work so we preordered. All meals were with us within 10mins. I had the Phil Cheese Streak baguette today with chips that was stunning and I’m looking forward to going back soon with my partner for the Sharing Platter.

Had a well cooked, tasty Sunday Lunch here. Well worth a try, I had already tried an evening meal here which was beautifully cooked and so had to sample their Sunday Meal and it certainly didn't disappoint, Every one in the family agreed it was amazing, not to forget their taste bombs of desserts. Awesome

Visited here for lunch with work colleagues. Several of us had the salmon in a creamy prawn sauce and others had the pie. All meals were delicious and a generous portion. The sauce on the salmon was excellent. Knocked off a star due to the time wait for the meal. This wouldn't usually be an issue for me however as it was a work lunch we were restricted with time. Will be returning as excellent menu offering a range of different meals.

Food was lovely Much better than the first time I came here 😁 Service was very slow, waited for the table to be cleared and order desserts, paid and left before anyone came to clear and no dessert 😞

I have just had my tea in here whilst away with work. And I can't recommend it enough. The staff were fantastic. And the food was amazing. In particular, the Thai Red Curry. The portion was insane. And it was probably one of the best I've ever had. I managed to get a photo after I had started eating it. So forgive the mess I made. But honestly, it was amazing!! The only issue is I couldn't finish it!!

Called here early this eve, our 30th wedding anniversary, we are always last minute!, luckily the lovely person that saw us by the door, said she would find us a table as it was a special eve, I’ve got to say, from the moment she spoke, she was lovely, I also met the person who delivered the meals, she was also lovely, I do not have a bad word about anything! Plenty of parking, atmosphere was lovely , staff extremely friendly and polite, food was the best we have had out in a while! Chilli with rice and chips, hunters chicken I asked for crispy bacon and it came out perfect! So generous with portions, reasonably priced, we will deffinately return , thanks to all at the ve ur, even the ones behind the scenes, we really enjoyed

Went here for food today for the first time, food was decently priced and the portion sizes were huge! The staff were really friendly and helpful. We sat outside because the weather was lovely and the outside seating area was great! The inside was decorated lovely too! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back to try more on the menu!

Brilliant place and the food is great

Two of us went for an early evening meal. Place was half full which affected the atmosphere. Service and food were great. I've knocked a star off for food as their skewers are no longer on the menu and the portions are too large. No room for dessert! Like other reviewers I parked on the main road. There seemed to be as many cars as diners.

first click and collect order and was a bit worried the portions would be smaller than a sit down meal but glad to say I was very wrong. We had chicken and chorizo with a side of garlic bread and it was all stunning. will definitely come back.

Food wasn't as nice as usual maybe due to size of party more than 20 people. Will definitely go back as atmosphere is excellent and staff are really friendly and helpful.

Amazing food 19 of us there but food and singers don't mix far too loud and really noisy ok it was a Saturday night but surely singer could start later so u can eat food in peace came out of there with buzzing ears!!! None of us complained about food it was really good but noise levels puts u off going back there !!!!

Have Been many times , but on this occasion was awful. Seems to be great when there are no issues , but when there are the manager takes absolutely no responsibility...Will never attend again

Having been here a few times. We called in on Easter Monday late? And they kindly fitted four adults and one child in. We ordered our food and drinks 🍻 and began to chat about the day we had and then our food arrived which we all really enjoyed. So a big thank you to your staff and chef for looking after us at such short notice Kind regards Paul

It was ok at best. Staff seemed lovely, they had a live band on which at first sounds great but it was extremely loud. Only our family there and we couldn't hear eachother. Food was alright, good portion sizes with the curry but there are better places to go I'd say

Had lunch here 2 days ago after it being recommended 2 me and it didn't disappoint!! Food was amazing as was the atmosphere and the staff. It was the best meal I've had out in years!! I had the crispy beef..Would I return again? Yes in a heartbeat!! Well done bar 141 keep up the good work..

Absolutely lovely little Gem. Big portions. Friendly staff and great looking set-up. 1st visit we got there around 3.45p.m (cheeky hr on way home from work) there was an offer on for 2 for £15 between 12-5p.m Mon-Fri.....landed with quality and size of portions for offer even ordered 2 to take out for the kids...nice treat for them and we didn't have to cook 😉

34 of us for my daughters gender reveal, foods out promptly and was very nice. Highly recommended.

Went here with work colleagues for our Christmas lunch. Nice vibe, friendly staff and the food was outstanding. Best turkey I've ever had accompanied by perfectly cooked veg. Will definitely go there again.

This place has a lovely atmosphere, excellent food at very good price and very friendly, welcoming staff. They had to move us to another table because our food wouldn't fit on our table for two but that's because my eyes are bigger than my belly.

To be fair we were a day early and they still squeeze us a table and we had a fab time the food is fab 1st time here and defo won't be the last

Our first time here we went for Sunday lunch and it was lovely, the staff were friendly, the food was the best we’ve tasted so far and we’ve been to a few places there were only two down side one we were by the door and it was freezing every time someone came in and out and the parking not a lot of car spaces and if it is full and you have to further away

Had lunch there on Halloween, our meals were great, tasty, hot and generous in size. Staff were also great, friendly, polite, pleasant and welcoming. We will definitely be returning.

Hands down the worst service I have ever received in a restaurant. I’ve tried Bar 141 three times and on each occasion the service has been absolutely abysmal. Took 40 minutes on this occasion to take my order! Staff are not attentive at all and it is a shame because the food is pretty decent! Will not be returning after three times of appalling service

First time trying out the old Smiths now known as Bar 141 I've been gaering good things about this place the last few months so off we trott to try out the Sunday dinner. What can I say, but it was absolutely stunning.... Mash and the roasted potatoes spot on, now normally I'm a person that likes his roast potatoes a particular way that not many places can get it right, but Bar 141 certainly did and like I said mash was lovely as well. Veg .. peas carrots and parsnips for me and again bloody lovely Meat... ham and beef, the beef OMG... was out of this world Gravy .... just perfect What a dinner guys honestly So next on the cards as again I've heard amazing things... their evening menu

The place has recently had a full refurb and they've done a cracking job. Been here for breakfast which is great and a Sunday dinner which is also amazing (no pics unfortunately). The staff are all friendly. Lovely place.

Met up with my aunt. Had a Sunday carvery the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough. The food was also excellent quality. The veg and potatoes were also well cooked and delicious.

Went this afternoon for a family lunch,1st visit,will definitely call again. Excellent food,well priced,excellent service. Best mixed grill I've had in many a year,everything cooked to perfection and almost a food challenge sized portion.

Excellent, but try to keep it a secret otherwise it will become so popular that you wont be able to get in and have a delicious meal.

Food was very tasty, great value for money and very nicely presented. Dining area was spacious and well laid out. Bar staff and waitress service were very pleasant and helpful. Toilets were spotless. Highly recommend, and will definitely return.

I have ate here on many occasions from the week day menu and the food has been amazing. But I ordered 4 Sunday lunches yesterday to take away. Never again! The cauliflower and the gravy tasted almost chemical as if it had been boiled in water that sometimes has that weird taste! The one pot of vegetarian gravy was a quarter full of some vile congealed slop! Hardly any beef and a lot of fat on it! I called and spoke to the manager Emma and was told she had done 140 dinners and not one complaint so basically there was nothing she was willing to do other than say sorry! It’s left me feeling totally disappointed and unsettling to have been made to feel like a liar. But 100% it did not taste right! £50 down the drain!! dreadful!! Just awful!! And now I’ve been blocked from giving my review! So unprofessional!!

Excellent, we had food there and it was very nice . food took a while to arrive but we didn't mind that because you could tell it was cooked fresh. Reasonably priced , nice and clean inside, and a lovely outside seeting area sun trap. Recommended
