Bangla Tandoori in Plymouth

We ordered from here because it was the only place opened I wanted the delivery for 10:55pm but they changed it to 11:10pm but we still didn’t get it to 11:45pm lids wasn’t on the food properly either so lamb&rice went in the bag the food was cold to

chicken tikka was cold and watery with no taste, didn't even look like described. wasn't willing to give money back when i complained. Will never return here.

Neither the korma nor the vindaloo tasted like they do at other Indian restaurants with poor quality chicken, and the rice was stodgy and seemed to be from a microwave. The price was good due to the 40% discount offer but we wouldn’t order again. Delivery driver was friendly though and on time.

Has not arrived, ordered at 17:10 and it’s now 18:44. The timeline says it’s been delivered, but it has not. Do not order from here.

food lukewarm as a result of lateness

Food was not as advertised (think they accidentally mixed two different dishes in one tub). Bargees where the worst, limpest, textureless I have ever had. Delivery was hour and half late

We ordered as had a 40% off deal, this did make it worthwhile on this occasion but otherwise food was disappointing sadly. It came very quickly and was hot, but the vindaloo was over salty and as mild as a tikka masala. It also had potatoes in it when it was meant to be lamb. The samosas were tiny and there was only two and for over £4 very overpriced. The bread was flavourless and quite hard too. Overall okay with the deal but full price would certainly have been very disappointing.

First time blind ordering but delighted to find that I was pleasantly surprised. Am usually loyal to Spice Merchant, but I'd happily order from Bangla again due to the value for money. Would definitely recommend!

I always order from this restaurant, but the quality of the food tonight wasn’t very impressive. Both dishes were very watery and tasteless quality has gone down.

The food arrived early, it was steaming hot and delicious. This is our first order and we will definitely order from here again.

food was alright edible but cool, I understand that the driver was told to go to Lanhydrock road first so took half an hour to get to me after I was told the order was out for delivery.

I don’t usually leave reviews but what I will say is the chicken biryani is absolutely gorgeous, the free curry was divine. They did forget my can of coke but made sure I was well looked after and the quality of the food overrules the forgotten drink. I will be ordering again as this was the best Indian I’ve ever had

First time ordered a take away via just eat. I was so shocked the delivery arrived 20mins early, I hadn’t got home yet. I didn’t order my food that much long ago. Food was okay. The colour pilaw rice was fluffy, there was 4 small onion bhajees (I ordered one portion). The usual salad, mango chutney and mint sauce. I got two free poppadoms. Unfortunately the marinated lamb tikka balti let me down. It was really sour - it hurt my teeth. The lamb itself was lovely and soft. Small bites. I didn’t enjoy the balti sauce. I thought with balti’s you get a Nan bread? Maybe this place doesn’t do that. I will try this place again but order something different next time.

The tandoori chicken on the bone both pieces looked and tasted off so couldn't eat it neither could my husband on his and it wasn't overally warm

Food was disappointing as all meat was on sharp bits of bone and luke warm. I am in the process of trying to get full refund from restaurant or Just Eat. Just came off shift working i A&E at Derriford. Food does not feel safe to eat. It has gone in the bin. So disappointing.

Absolutely delicious and worth the money

I thought Masala was spicy but I got a bright orange sweet sauce with meat without vegetables/onions.

Great food, nothing cold or anything like that. Only problem we had was that it came late, but that was a problem with the app itself, not the resturant or driver, so if you are going to order from here, still go ahead, but phone up instead and make an order that way!

"glitch in the system" was the response regarding late delivery...but the food is nice, and I don't live close to the restaurant so kinda expect it being late!

Absolutely ridiculous, had to wait 2 hours for a delivery and it was cold when it arrived, and the restaurant does not care , they will not reimburse me in any way they just say enjoy your food which was not edible , I will never use them again

Real food, homemade quality but just better

The curry was really watery as if it had just been defrosted, the rice was cold, minimal chicken in the curry and the Nan bread tasted like cheese. Wouldn’t order again.

Really tasty curry, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only complaint is that it could have been warmer when it arrived as it was luke warm.

Some of the chicken was cold and quite dry and honestly taste more like English curry powder sauce rather than traditional madras flavour. Appreciate the 20% discount when buying the meal but honestly as I am a chef also, am very disappointed.

My order was 45 minutes late and the food was cold and tasteless with watery chicken Teaka masala

I ordered a chicken tikka vindaloo. Which is a vinegar spiced potato dish. However what arrived was a mid spiced generic chicken dish with no potatoes and without vinegar flavour. It was a general tomato based dish. Definitely not a vindaloo. This is why I gave the food quality as 3 stars. You will not get a vindaloo from this restaurant if you order one. I gave 3 stars because it tasted OK as a general Indian type food.

Well on time and tasted great!!! The chicken was really nicely cooked and everything tasted fresh. Even got a cheeky free mixed meat box which was very much appreciated!! Will definitely order from here again!!

Very happy with my order I got given some free rice with a nice message I was over the moon with that .the curry was bang on the Nan breads not too bad I think they should be a bit bigger but that’s just me in general. I would recommend to anyone thinking of ordering .
