Bamboo Garden in Great Yarmouth

Had a takeaway on Saturday, 17th August. The meal was not too bad, but the chips were absolutely disgusting. They tasted as if they had been warmed from the day before.

Visited whilst on a long weekend in Great Yarmouth ( I live in Leicester) was the best Chinese takeaway I've ever had . AMAZING FOOD

We visited this evening to purchase a takeaway and received a very warm welcome from Chelsie. Our order was processed quickly and the food was wonderful. We will return. Thank you. Tim 👍.

When they get your order right, (which most of the time they do and very well too!) But unfortunately when it goes wrong it goes very, very wrong. I.E. missing dishes, completely different dishes. Basically if they mess up your order then you may not have the food you need to be able to feed those waiting. But it will also be your fault because apparently that's what you ordered. I've not used the business for at least six months, so things may be different now. I don't know. I'm only commenting on my last transaction with them.

We ordered a take away dinner from the bamboo with key dishes we love and they never delivered them and got the order so so wrong! and spoiled our evening with friends... when I called the clearly new girl who books in deliveries was so unprofessional... luckily there are three take aways as good nearby... never again.. bamboo we have spent a fortune with you and you treat us like this... NEVER again.. you KNOW you got things wrong... your a spinless and unprofessional business

Nice flavoursome food but it needs to be piping hot. The last 3 meals were just merely warm - definitely not hot which needs to be addressed.

In my opinion, the best Asian food in Gorleston. Comprehensive menu and freshly cooked food. The staff and owners are always friendly and welcoming and prices are reasonable. Our regular takeaway.

Service was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. The food was hot and tasty. Lots of flavour. My only problem was, the BBQ spare ribs had a powdery texture and they also stained my fingers red. The food is reasonably priced. I would order again but avoid the BBQ ribs.

We were recommended to Bamboo garden by our neighbour, having not long moved to gorleston, the takeaway we had was absolutely delicious !!! All 3 of the dishes we orderd were soo tasty the food was fresh and hot, the portions were great too :) we will definitely be ordering again thank you :) u have new customers 😋😋

Best Chinese take out in town by miles.

I’ve been to this Chinese so many times and will carry on coming back to them they’re amazing and the girls on the phone and front desk are so lovely and polite, and they have such quick delivery here at bamboo. :)

Great food. I had the chop Kam a la China, no 43 and fried rice. Very nice. Not had this before in any Chinese. But will be looking for it in future. They are closed on Tuesdays.

I ordered food for collection on Christmas Eve. As it was Christmas eve I didn't expect it to be quick turnaround, only Santa can deliver in record time Christmas eve right🤔. Once the food was ready and I took it home it was very delicious and hot. I sat there admired how fantastic the staff rushed off there feet and the phone was constantly ringing with orders being taken. It was a long wait as anticipated and advised. I wasn't disappointed, keep up the good work you all do.

Took nearly 2 hours when it was supposed to be less than an hour!!!! Wont be ordering again. They should not keep taking orders when they can't deal with the ones they have already. Edit for response. No you told us 45 mins for collection 1 hour for delivery. So we collected. Got to you after 45 mins and then waited another 45 mins.

Absolutely shocking service. Yes we know its Christmas eve but so does the company. They were taking on far too many orders for what they could handle. Was told food would take 45 minutes so arrived after 45 minutes and then had to wait a further 40 minutes for my food. I would have been happy to wait longer at home but very annoyed to have to sit in a takeaway for 40 minutes on xmas eve. Could at least put the radio on or something. Was not nice to see the cold noodles stored in a huge open dish on the floor in the kitchen with all kitchen staff walking around them and them being open to dirt and germs.

Visit Bamboo Garden on Christmas Eve, they are very busy. Very impressive service. I’m not surprised they are very busy. The food is amazing and worth waiting for !!! I could see they work very hard to manage the place. Can’t wait to visit them again. Well done team 👏👏👏

One of the best take away meals I have ever eaten In my 66 years. Highly recommend.

The first time i visited Bamboo Garden i was left disappointed, the Singapore chow mein wasn't very spicy and quite bland, and the ribs were very fatty and what meat was on them was tough, i decided to try again as i work till 11pm, this is the nearest takeaway to where i work and i was hungry, so i ordered special mix tom yum fried rice, and a special mix teriyaki, this special mix teriyaki isnt on the menu, i requested it rather than a single ingredient teriyaki dish, but yet again i was disappointed, even more so than the first time, both dishes were bland, the meats in the teriyaki were chewy and sparse, the sauce was tasteless and watery, the rice had no egg, tiny bits of pork and the smallest shrimp I've ever seen, and just like the teriyaki it was completely tasteless, at £6.20 per dish i wasn't very happy and there won't be a third visit.

Have used this takeaway a few times, we aren't from the area and its difficult to know where to trust for a decent meal. Last night's meal from Bamboo Garden was an great experience, the young lady on the phone was very polite and took our order perfectly, when I arrived the order wasn't ready, however I was earlier than I expected. I observed the young lady on the phone and dealing with orders, seemingly taking it all in her stride and very polite with customers. The young lady is a credit to the business and the chefs made excellent food, so when we are back up here, we'll be sure to come to you for another meal. Thank you.

Had a chicken chow mein from here twice which I collected and was great then got one delivered and was absolutely foul. The chips and curry sauce was gorgeous but this lash chow mein has kind of put me off ordering another

Had the food from here multiple times and have never been disappointed. Expansive menu with something for every taste. Can thoroughly recommend the Udon, the Singapore fried rice and any of the salt and peppercorn starter dishes.

I have used a few chinese takaways in the area but this is by far the best. Generous helpings,big bowl of sweetnsour sauce and always delivered before the expected time. And lovely flavours that i have nt got with other takeaways. Well done to all the staff.

I have used Bamboo Garden for a few years now. It is the best Chinese takeaway in the Gorleston / Yarmouth area. Food is delicious and staff are very helpful. I would recommend King Prawns in salt and pepper also the chips are the best. I have never had a bad meal ever. Thank you

9 Small pieces of meat in a Happy Family, sold as a large but turned up in a small container half empty. Pure disgusting!! Go to Golden city on the high street, lovely food lovely owner, MASSIVE Portions. Only used Bamboo Garden because Golden City aren't open on a Monday!

Been here for the first time this evening. Small place, no tables so "take away" only. Been greeted very politely, food was ready quickly, nice piping hot, good, tasty and fair prices. Will probably become a regular.

Terrible service staff just don’t care food is nothing special and long delivery and missing items

We tried BG because we'd heard good things. Man alive! The chips are cooked in lard but aren't greasy (YUM!) The curry sauce is so lovely and thick -It's not watered-down. And it tastes so good! The prawn crackers are like they used to be! You can taste the fish oil! Try their spicy prawn crackers and the chip and curry bowl -You won't be sorry! Everything came hot! Everything was delicious. Give it a go, and you'll be hooked!

What can I say lovely hot food, friendly and helpful staff and when I requested delivery the food arrived before the time they stated. I am a bit worried that I might be going there a bit too often though as the young man on the counter reminded me to order my sweet and sour sauce when i'd forgotten it lol. Highly recommend it

Ordered from hear as it was a birthday meal all I can say is £40 down the drain it was horrible it arrived cold and missing items my partner rang them to say... all we got was her shouting down the phone saying we was in the wrong what food we did have was disgusting it all went in the bin then the missing item arrive 30min after if only I could post a picture off it I do not recommend going hear at all...!!!!!!

Lovely food, can't complain. Always hot and the portion sizes are plentiful. However, you have some of the rudest people answering the phones which let's your business down.

Absolutely beautiful tasted fresh lots of flavour massive portions arrived hot. I am really hard to please so appreciate been recommended to try here whilst in Harrison's today :)

My last few orders have been so small even my youngest was still hungry. If you want a meal then dont order from here.

Recently dishes are being delivered smaller in size than before. Even though you ask them to repeat back the order they are making too many mistakes. E.g. a house special chow mein was delivered instead of a vegetable chow mein ( fat lot of good for our vegetarian guest) and they rarely give you free prawn crackers even though you spend nearly £40. Now looking for an alternative take away unfortunatly .

Not as good as it used to be. We have been regular customers for a good few years now. More recently (the last 6 months), the food has gone downhill. The portion sizes seem smaller and the crispy chilli beef always seems so dry now. We have even mentioned the chilli beef to them and actually asked for it to have some sauce in it on various occasions..... It still ends up being dry. It’s a shame because we used to look forward to a Chinese from Bamboo Garden every couple of weeks, unfortunately we will be going elsewhere in the future.
