I have no idea why people have done bad reviews. I walked in earlier this evening. Everyone was really friendly and the food was awesome. If there is any where better let me know I will gladly review it

I tried to order tonight. Thought I would get a discount. Nope. I needed to pay cash to get the discount. They lost a £50 order. Cash is nice. Customers are better that also pay.

We did not have a night out we had a takeaway. The price was very over priced for what we received. The lamb in the curry was very grisly an very hard to chew the rice was cold and we did not recieve all that we ordered will not be getting any food from here from now on

I ordered a takeaway yesterday evening and had an issue while ordering about a delivery charge which resulted in only being able to order one meal. But a second call with the manager, who was unbelievably friendly and helpful, resolved the matter and the second meal was delivered very fast indeed, actually only about 10-15 minutes after the first meal was delivered. And I’ve got to say the food was absolutely fantastic. I’ve lived in Braintree all of my life and have had many takeaway curries, but our food last night was faultless. Great customer service and great food. Would highly recommend.

Order arrived late the flimsy bag broke in the hall after receiving the meal so half of our order was lost. Such a shame as we’ve order before with no issue.

Spent nearly £80 on a takeaway delivery. Should have trusted my gut feeling with how difficult it was to get my order confirmed. Balti arrived without the ordered naan bread which they declined to then deliver that night, offering only a free naan bread on next order (which to be accurate means they offered to deliver another day the naan bread I paid for tonight). Then the prawn curry had shells still on some of them. Second time recently my order was incomplete. Have now torn up their menu to prevent an inadvertent third order.

Have had several takeaways / home deliveries from here and have not been disappointed. Helpful staff on the phone. Prompt delivery in the timescale quoted. Food always of a good quality.

Always order from here. But tonight was awful. The food turnt up cold. Wasn't waiting long food was delivered in 20 mins after ordering.And the lamb we got was dry. It was bland no flavour and tasteless. Will NOT be ordering from here again.

I used to use Balti Nights but stopped for reasons I don’t recall. Anyway, had a delivery from them over the Bank Holiday weekend and it was really good. Had the Chicken Chilli Massala and the heat was perfect wigh extra chillies if you wanted an extra hit. The other half had Chicken Tikka Dhansak (quite hot) and loved it. Really good quality chicken and great mix of spices. Spinach Bhaki was also very good with fresh coriander sprinkled on top My Indian take-away of choice going forward Well done!

Ordered a curry on New Year’s Eve at 18:30 hrs, told it would be delivered at 20:00 hrs, got a phone call at 20 :15 hrs asking if we can wait as there over run with orders which I agreed on. At 21:30 hrs had my ordered cancelled, ruining what was a crap New Years worse. Disgusting service will never use again.

We decided to give Balti Night a go and was so pleased. The food was cooked to perfection and was piping hot. The lamb curry was gorgeous,the lamb melted in m mouth.

I've been using Balti Night since I moved to Braintree in 1993 and would not go anywhere else. Have not had a bad meal in over 27 years. Thank you! More vegetarian options would make it even better, especially for vindaloos; mushroom, chickpea or tofu would be amazing.

I have just ordered the Tandoori Box, which consisted of Seekh kebab, chicken tikka, meat tikka, tandoori chicken & keema naan. All I can say is WOW. What an amazing combo. It came with a side salad and raita. It was more than enough for one, and I’m a big eater. The delivery driver was brilliant. I requested it for delivery at 19:30 as I wouldn’t be home much before. He rang the bell at spot on 19:30. He said he’d crept up the road so he wasn’t early. Now that’s service. He was extremely chatty too, a great ambassador for the business. I can’t recommend this takeaway enough, never had a bad meal or service from here. I think I’ve found my new takeaway meal though. 😋

Just had the best takeaway I've had in ages...Balti Night is by far the best in Braintree and to be honest, the best for miles around. I had the chicken tikka bhuna and my Husband had a biryani dish...absolutely delicious! Delivered on time by a friendly driver and our food was piping hot. Decent portion sizes and the quality is second to none :-) Well done Balti Night!

I had the vegetable biryani with brinjal bahji. Looked good, tasted even better. Good sized portions. Veggie samosas where delicious too. Would definitely order again!

“You haven’t used us before? Is there any reason?” they asked“No - but after a recent bad experience elsewhere, where the food didn’t arrive for over 2 hours & when it did, it was wrong order & had leaked everywhere- we decided to change - to you” I said So after assured the curry would arrive within 60-70 mins here we were waiting for 2 hours ....a quick call to investigate reveals a shortness of drivers and a further assurance it will ‘go out’ soon ... finally 2hrs and 25mins later the doorbell ... it’s here!The order was complete but sadly 2 dishes have leaked all over the rest (see picture below)1. If they had called and explained the delay - I wouldn’t have minded as much2. No point launching into the delivery driver - he just drives the orders3. The food (after all said & done) was IMO 4/10 and most was lukewarm 4. £50 curry .... mmmmmWon’t be rushing back ...... very disappointed ☹️

Wow, delicious food and catered for my food allergy with no issues. The chilli tandoori chicken fried rice was amazing and the tandoori mixed grill tasted smoky as if straight from a bbq!! Would recommend Balti Night to anyone, we will certainly be going back for more.

An outright winner when it comes to ordering Indian food, the only difficulty is knowing what to order but it's all good. The honey,cheese + coconut naan is a must for anyone with a sweet tooth but I can't stop ordering the Indian style kebabs, these are the best ever tasting kebabs that will stop you ever wanting a normal one again.

We always use Balti Nights as the food is always delivered piping hot and very tasty. Very rarely do we have any problems and look forward to our next order.... *B1*

Indian always has been my favourite takeaway food. Before I started going to Balti night I tried many different dishes from many different Indian takeaways but found myself always ordering the same thing...chicken korma, onion bhajis, and a peshwari naan.

Ordered £30 worth of food. Korma was below standard, tika was not much better both with 5 pieces of chicken.

Absolutely shocking service took nearly 3 hrs to arrive, they don’t no how to cook a pathia was completely tasteless no spice? Hardly any sauce? Arrived stone cold, sent a pilau rice instead of my mushroom baji! POINTLESS calling back as just get hung up.

Placed an order via Just Eat at 6.30pm for an 8pm delivery, part of the delivery arrived at 8.40pm, two mains between four adults and two children arrived. Immediately called and after a lengthy phone call was advised we could reorder in full or have these two items on our next delivery - we of course opted for full redlivery. We were told 35-40 minute wait... it’s now over 80 minutes, managed to get through via phone and kept on hold for 10 minutes before being cut off. Absolutely appalled by the service, the food we did receive has gone cold (rice and sides) and is now in the bin! Lying, rude staff who are clearly overwhelmed by demand. Will never use Balti Nights again, totally unreliable and appalling customer service. Didn’t expect to spend New Years Eve on the phone to the bank requesting the card payment be stopped! Use this place at your peril!

Have been ordering takeaways from here for about 25yrs or more and absolutely loved it , after having a couple of not so good ones I stated away . Talked to Jay in the takeaway and he asked me to go back and said it would be a great , well Jay did not lie I can honestly say my last meals since going back have been the best I've ever had , it's been amazing and I shall carry on having food from here for many more years to come . What is there to say , I’ve used Balti night since I moved to braintree 10yrs ago, the food is exceptional, Weather you have a madras, vindaloo, or naan, it’s always tastes spot on.

Me and my Mrs celebrated my birthday with Balti night, could not fault it-flawless! I loved how their Nan bread tasted!

We have tried most of the Indian takeaways in Braintree but have to say Balti Nights is our favourite. Good service from placing the order and the drivers are always very polite and friendly. Food is always delivered within allocated time. Food to a very high standard with a creative and extensive menu.

Valentines night 2018, yes it is going to be busy, so expected a possible slight delay on the hour quoted, bout 5 mins after. But as always a really lovely meal, been going to them for a no of years and never had a bad meal. Polite, good service, would definitely recommend .

Having a bad experience with other Indian takeaways in the past, one of my friend recommended Balti Night. I must say the flavours in my king prawn curry had inventive taste and the garlic mushroom was attention to detail. It was beyond my expectations the flavours were mouthwatering. You can tell they have made all theses dishes from scratch, One of the staff who recommended that I try one of their popular dishes which was “cocktail Bhuna” it was subtle & authentic!

Been here twice, and both times food was good value and tasted great, staff are friendly as well gave me a mango smooth type drink that tastes really nice.

Used to be a regular here about 5 years ago, but stopped using them for a while. Thought I'd give them another go after noticing a drop in quality from my regulars. Glad I did.

I ordered for delivery lamb jalfrezi as my main and it was superb. The meat was tender and melt in the mouth gorgeous. I normally order chicken dishes from other Indian takeaways because beef and lamb are the more expensive meats and tend to be cheap cuts, tough and or pulverised to semi tenderness! Thought I’d try Balti Nights in Braintree after it was recommended and was not disappointed. It arrived before time and was lovely and well spiced. Needless to say I scoffed the lot in one sitting. ‘I’ll be back’......

We used to use Balti Nights regularly, but after a few average (and one poor) meals about 5 years ago we changed to one of the other local takeaways. After reading about the entry for an award we thought we would give them another try, and wow - we were so impressed!

After years of my wife refusing to eat any Indian food other than that bought from Jalsaghar I have finally found a take away that beats it.

Before trying a new takeaway I like to go online and do a bit of research about the business in general regardless bad or good reviews, I must say I made a superb choice! Been using Balti Night for 8 years now..I still believe best Indian food I've ever eaten these guys really do know quality of food & service, you can not fault the food here & if you do then you obviously don't regularly eat quality food.

Been a customer since 2001 and watched a gradual decline in service and food - the only thing to go upwards is the price. Ordered the other night was told it would be an hour max however after 4 calls arrived in 85 minsThe food was cold but good but small portions, stale 1000 piece smashed popadoms I complained to the driver and received a call an hour later to apologize and to offer 20% off the next order. I'm not sure I'll bother in future as it's gone from being great to being average !

Only ever had take away so can't comment on the actual restaurant or service but the food is outstanding. Authentic, tasty and every dish is spot on! Quite pricey but fine as its usually a treat for us.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend of a friend big mistake it was the worst Indian restaurant I've ever been in the sevice was shocking, food not that good & the bill had some extras on it which we never had although the young lad was very apologetic & sorted out saying how busy it was & they were understaffed. Turns out that one of the waiter's as we thought that was really rude was in fact the owner definitely will not be returning! !!!

Ordered a delivery this evening.... Waited over an hour. We ordered sweet vegetable rice there were no vegetables in the rice only peas and onions. The chips were not cooked and very pale looking. The Bombay potatoes were awful tasted like spicy tomato potatoes we have always ordered from Balti Night and never been so disappointed it definetely has gone downhill. We phoned them to explain the issue and only got half our money back having spent £50! Most of it went in the bin we won't be returning our custom

Balti Night is one of Braintree's oldest and most successful Indian Takeaway businesses in Braintree. They offer collection from a well presented premises in a good location in Manor Street or they deliver for orders over £10.00.Service is usually courteous and polite. Delivery times can be anywhere from 30 mins plus due to the popularity it has gained from local consumers. Be aware it has been known for a delivery to take up to 2 hours.The menu is vast and has grow rapidly over the years to include alternative Asian culinary dishes so there is usually something that caters for most people.Prices are average compared to others in the area.I would double check any dishes for intolerance information before you order.The food itself looks good and presented well. However, it is not the best tasting and suffers from the usual changes to cater for standard British taste buds. Most curries are tomato based and are cooked with a lot of Ghee therefore very oily.I have eaten various dishes from Balti Night and I struggle to find the taste differences you find from other establishments barring the yoghurt or cream based such as a Korma & Tikka Massala. The meat content is not the best around and dependant on the dish can be disappointing due to large vegetables such as onions, peppers and tomatoes to fill the sauce.The Naan breads are a little to be desired and at times can seem rubbery and pre-cooked/warmed to minimise times.Overall this is an average Indian Takeaway that makes good looking curries for the masses but beware of the long delivery times at peak periods such as Friday and Saturday evenings.If your after more a more authentic and better tasting curries I would recommend some of the other Indian Takeaways such as Bengal Spice or The Taj Mahal.

I've been getting takeaways from Balti Nights for about 7 years now. By far the best Indian I've ever had. Delivery is always pretty quick, food arrives hot and tasty and the staff are very helpful.

Having lived in Asia for the last 10years this is probably the best in Indian in Braintree but, does not compare to Indian restaurants in Singapore & India, sauces are all to similar when will Indian restaurants in the UK realise the best option is the drastically reduce the quantity of items on the menu and focus on quality authentic tastes!

We ordered around £30 of food to be delivered at 6:55pm. The takeaway delivery eventually turned up nearly an hour late at 7:50pm (after chasing them several times by phone - they are 5 minutes drive from us) and was barely warm and had to be microwaved. The delivery man didn't speak English, shrugged his shoulders when I tried to speak to him, dropped the delivery on the door mat and ran, he literally ran.I then had to phone them back to ask why all of the prawns in my Korma were in their shells with full tail. I was told it was a recent change to give me a better experience. There were only 6 prawns, but the tails certainly bulked the dish up. Previously when I've ordered from them the dish would have a dozen or more prawns without tails. I understand that cooks often present Prawns in their shells to make the dish look more attractive, but as the prawns were buried under sauce, there can be no excuse here. I'm guessing Balti Night are on a profit drive at the expense of their customers, filling the carton with inedible stuff you would normally throw away.We only ate about 20% of the food as it didn't taste very good (my wife wondered if there had been a change of ownership), took some pictures for posterity and threw away the rest. I'm writing this review at 5am as I've been up since 3am with a stomach upset.For the record, I have had food from here on a number of occasions and generally it has been fairly good. I've had better, but I've also had worse. This meal was to celebrate my birthday. My wife and I had planned to eat out, but she is disabled and she has good days and bad days. Yesterday was not a good day so we couldn't go out and as I do all the cooking, she didn't want me to cook on my birthday. I really wish I had.Anyone know any good Indian takeaways in Braintree?

Wow wow and blooming wow. Picking up our take away and having to drive back with the amazing aromas could have caused a crash.The aromas of the food didn't disappoint in the taste. By far the best take out Indian food in Braintree.The shop is clean and welcoming along with polite helpful staff. Knowledge of food was great and variety was probably too much.Chicken narikel tikka was creamy with a great hint of chilli, Hugh soft chicken pieces and well worth the money. Having 2 main dishes , 2 specialiality rices, nam bread with pops and pickles a very reasonable £29Service quick, polite staff, fresh plentiful and tasty food all for £29... Food snobbery at its best.Will defiantly return
