Aziziye Halal in Hackney

I’ve been coming here for years and am a repeat reviewer. Was here again with two friends. The staff are always genuine and friendly. The food is always so good. The value is excellent. What more could you want?

went here for iftar ( around sunset) and honestly it was amazing. the staff and the food portion size for the platter. I would highly recommend. plan to go here again in the upcoming weeks but this time with my family.

After placing an order worth over £200, they then tell us that there is no rice but will give bulgar, food arrived 45 minutes later with no bulgar … they replaced the bulgar with chips as there was no bulgar either!! They then had the cheek to charge full price!! On top of all that, we asked to pay the bill to one waiter, he went away and another waiter comes and says Theyr closing indicating that we need to leave..at 10.30! And they close at 11. Not one apology from anyone. Stick to Gokyuza everyone…

Very expensive didn’t like taste at all please if u think quantity good than NO very less quantity and no taste at all trust me don’t waste money rather give charity to hungry children

Amazing food. Been to loads of Turkish restaurants and this one is at the top. Got the mix grill, the Adana kebab and all the meat will keep you coming back. Don’t miss out

I’ve been coming here with two friends for well over 10 years and this place keeps on delivering. Always great food. Always good service. A perennial nexus of quality and quantity. Cherry on the cake is the VFM too.

Absolutely delicious and authentic Turkish cuisine, took us back to our travels in turkey, the service was outstanding and the meals beautifully presented. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment.

Went to this restaurant specifically because it was one of the maybe two places in London that made Çağ kebabı. They don't anymore after lockdown. When I asked why, i was met with all sort of funny answers but not a reason for it (and I really wanted to understand). That said the rest of the food was good, just like any other decent Turkish restaurant in London, and with very fast service. Overall was a nice dinner, but nothing special. Note that being in a mosque no booze is allowed in this place.

Repeat visitor and reviewer. Food was typically stunning. Welcome and service was tip-top. This really is a wonderful little restaurant which offers up great food at good value. Have a look at my pictures - I think you’ll like what you see.

Warm welcome, and the service throughout the meal was five star. Good was fresh and beautifully flavoured! Massive portion too! Highly recommended the mixed grill and the Lamb Bayti ! Will be back as this is the best Turkish food I have ever eaten. Thank you to the staff !

Wonderful meal tonight at this restaurant. Great atmosphere and excellent food. Staff tended to our needs instantly at the press of the call button. We were visiting from Scotland and came here especially because of the service provided. A special thanks to Osman who made us feel very welcome and offered excellent service. There were four of us we didn’t book before we went and it was very busy we had to wait 40 minutes for a table not the restaurants fault I would recommend you book in advance. Thank you Osman!

We are a familly with four kids under 11,we go usually on Sunday for lunch ,the room is really good specially for the children the service is exellent and the food is yammy , for muslim people the best thing theire is no alcohol,and it is cheaper when we compare with other turkish restaurant

Nous avons dîné là-bas en famille.Points négatifs : L'accueil était moyen et le service impersonnel. Pas d'explications des plats ni de conseils.La salle était trop bruyante, les bruits venaient essentiellement de la cuisine et des serveurs qui rangeaient les couverts.. bruits vraiment pas du tout agréable et qui a duré tout le long du repas.Ce qui nous a le plus déçus c'est que les restes sont jetés a la poubelle!Nous avons du prendre nos restes et les donner dehors a quelqu'un pour éviter qu'ils les jettent.Points positifs:Le service à ete tres rapide.Les plats etaient delicieux.

La comida era buena, pero en ese momento no me di cuenta de que pedí dos bandejas del número dos por 50 cada una y recibí una bandeja de 25 que no noté en ese momento, pero me timaron dándonos menos comida. Teniendo en cuenta que pagamos por adelantado y la cantidad de personas que nos acompañaron, fue una pena verlo.

Delicious Turkish dishes, amazing atmosphere for Islamic culture. Spare Eating rooms, halal food, kind staff. The only problem is the place is a bit far away from the city center. You can go there by bus 76 number. There is also a mosque on the restaurant.

I had a freshly cooked lamb wrap which was delicious and only cost a fiver! I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you

After a solid 2.5 hour drive from Heathrow across London on a Friday Evening, we finally arrived at Aziziye Restaurant.

I’ve coming here with two friends for over 10 years. We really like it. It’s chilled; staff are friendly; it’s great value; and the food it so delicious.

Me encanta la cocina de oriente medio en general, así que elegimos este pequeño lugar una noche en un viaje a Londres. No me arrepiento un solo poco, los precios fueron muy razonables. Las porciones eran muy buenas y la comida era excepcional. Pedimos un combo de comida para 4 y fue suficiente para alimentar dos veces! El servicio era genial, el personal era acogedor, y la comida llegó rápido. Sinceramente no puedo alabar a este lugar. Me encantaría volver si estoy en Londres!

We went on a weekday with a group of friends. At the point of booking the man who answered the call was a little unhelpful but anyhow, upon turning up, all staff were welcoming and took us to our private cubicle.

Great food grade time the soup is one of the best soup's I ever had kids loved it too. Every visit of mine to London will be to this restaurant. If I had to say anything negative I would say there should not be booking for the traditional seating cabins of 10% of your bill or you have to book to eat in a cabin.

One of the best Turkish restaurants in London! Friendly staff, reasonable prices and tasty dishes (try the Cag Kebab,inclusive of 3 different salads,3 shish cag kebabs,baklava and Turkish tea, for just £10 ): all in all,very good value for money!Plus,nice location with a mosque upstairs..

Azizye is simply the best Turkish restaurant I have been to, and that would include my trips to Turkey.

Been a while since I last visited this part of town but so glad we came! We ate at the wonderful Azizye Halal Restaurant and really loved the food. Service didn't seem slow for us, we appreciate having freshly cooked food to order rather than pre-cooked reheated food etc. I went for Meatballs as my starter which are so juicy! And then I had Iskender and my partner had Yogurtlu Adana which was like a minced version of my Iskender. Really so delicious. Huge portions that are so filling. Delicious. Visited the Mosque afterwards and just had a lovely mint Tea with Bakhlava to end. Beautiful little place

I suggest you eat cag kebab that was amazing for 10 pounds. You can eat 3 different salads 3 shish cag kebab and dessert and drink.

Tenía una comida con un grupo de 8 y todos disfrutamos de su comida. La comida estaba recién preparada y de muy buena calidad. Para un viernes por la noche no estaban demasiado ocupados, que era muy agradable para nosotros.

I first time try Cag kebab in London it's perfect tasted. I can recommend to everyone cag kebab set menu. Ayran is the delicious and also special dessert also delicious as well. Staff also friendly and helpful.

Al viajar desde Manchester siempre asegurarse de que comer aquí. La comida es genial, los camareros son muy considerados, los cubículos son privadas y muy otomano como, tienen su propio aparcamiento y lo más importante tienen una arriba de la mezquita.

We visit this place often and generally the food and service is nice. Remember that you have to go early to get lahmachun as the chef disappears after 9:30pm. Had a bit of a bad experience last time we went as the food didn't come quickly and the fries were cold.

Booked a table for 7 people at 8pm, did not get sat down till 8:40 and there were other booths available, the waiter was rushing the previous people out in which we felt very uncomfortable, food came again was not great and the platter was small, customer service was non existent, would not go back. Good points salad was nice.

this restaurant is a traditional turkish restaurant where it has private rooms for families. it is very good if you want privacy as well as good food.

Decided to visit Aziziye based on the people I saw "checking-in" on Facebook and decided that since its a place I haven't tried- why not?!Went today and I was impressed by the facilities and the items on the menu. The waiter was able to find us a cushioned floor pod so that we could sit and enjoy our meal. They gave us complementary salad which was excellent. The food and experience is a must try for all.

Me and two friends eat here twice a year and have done so since 2008. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The food, regardless of which of the myriad of dishes we order is superb and the bill surprisingly low. Personal recommendations include the garlic sausage, the humous, and the Turkish pizza from the starters. For mains you can not go wrong with either lamb or chicken shish, the mixed kebab with rice, the lamb chops or the baked aubergine. This visit I ate a dish in the restaurant from the Aziziye's new-ish take away area on the main road called a Cag kebab. The meat is roasted horizontally and served on a skewer with rice, lamb shish and salad. The Turkish tea is very good and the homemade baklava is stunning. We'll be back of course in 6 months.

10 of us went for a family meal. The children loved it. The atmosphere was lovely and the floor seating was very exciting for the children. Loved the food too.

Been here on a number of occasions with the family. Family rooms are great. Service was also very good. Highly recommend the lamb chops, which are soft and tender to the bone. Rice was beautiful too. Desserts are disappointing but overall good experience and recommended.

I first visited this restaurant with my work colleagues as they only eat Halal meat. The restaurant is underneath the Aziziye Mosque. My favourite part was the option to either sit down on tables and chairs (western way of dinning) or sitting on the cushioned floor (ottoman way of dinning). We opted the ottoman option. Which consists of private booths were you can sit around a table on a cushioned floor. They also have a tv and buzzer inside were you can buzz to get the waiters/waitresses attention. The food was average. Small portions for an expensive price. I was then informed that the reason why it's fairly more expensive is because it's halal meat which costs more money.

This is the best Turkish restaurant in London. So many facilities its a first choice hands down. The food is fresh and excellent I prefer the Iskender and pide. The lamachun was not as good as other places or Turkey. I would recommend pide instead. Or the aubergine starter. And the rest is all great. Whatever you fancy. Many qualities in this place Free Parking outside the restaurant door. Clean toilets. Shop and butcher if needed at the front. Mosque on top for prayers and ablution for men and women Has separate family areas for those observing hijab and niqab Excellent halal authentic Turkish food And open til late

I've been visiting Aziziye for many years and love the food here and the whole experience. Staff are friendly, food is always fresh and tasty. They serve authentic Turkish food. I especially enjoy their Beyti Kebab, Iskender Kebab and mixed grill and of-course Lahmacun for starters with lots of lovely fresh salad.Highly recommend Aziziye, a firm family favourite.

After a day of shopping and feeling exhausted we stopped at azziye for lunch and it definetly was an enjoyable experience. They had an mosque on the top floor of the building and my husband prayed there before food was served..it had a peaceful ambience about it. Food and service was excellent we loved the nan bread which was served with the grill meats and veg so much that we bought some from their shops at the front.. Cubicles were small it was just about enough for me, my husband and our little boy. Food and service was good because of that i will go again.:) loved it!

I went with my wife for the first time after seeing their ad on tv. I must say the experience was very positive. The quality and quantity of food is excellent along with the service and decor. We tried the Adana kebab in two different styles and both were excellent. The price is very reasonable and they also have private booths for families for traditional style seating. We will definitely go back again.

I was looking for the 'real turkish halal' restaurant in that area as I was craving for lahmacun ( turkish pizza) then someone reccomended this place. The lahmacun was just so delicious, served with turkish salad. Their lentil soup is also worth a try.Its very clean and cosy. It can be quiet tricky to find though as its not on the main road.

The food here is great and provides good value for money. We ordered the set menu for two which cost £32 and gave us an excellent three course meal, which we could not finish due to its size. The only negative is that service can be a bit slow but I would highy recommend it for the food alone. Also, if you get a chance, visit the mosque on top as it is lovely.

We went here as a family and opted to sit inside the private rooms, it was great you could relax and be comfortable. This was great because I haven't had same experience in London! The food took quite a while to come which started to bore the kids. I've visited many turkish restaurants but this one was quite expensive for the area and location it is a little odd. We were also charged quite a lot for the private area I guess we had never prepared ourselves that we would be charged. Overall I would rate it average- good food but slightly pricey and nothing special

I've eaten several time in a Turkish restaurant but never in one hosted inside a mosque. Very typical and personally I enjoyed the fact.The decor it's quite nice and you can choose whether sit on a take or into a small box over some cushion with a table that is practically course to the floor. In sure these boxes have a name but I don't know it.The food was excellent, very well presented. We've been offered also two topical salad and the dessert.As a positive note the water was airways the same, smiling and he perfectly remembered what we ordered without messing up our dishes (which frankly was difficult to remember).I'm sure I'll come again.

i was gob smacked, wowi loved the food so much the setting combined with floor seating fastastic.i visited with my family so there were quite alot of us.The amazing waiters were more then happy to help us and the food was delivered quickly without any delays.There homemade yogurt drink was amazing my niece and nephew loved it. I had last visited Aziziye about 6 years ago until last month and we were surprised to find that the place had been renovated to look like a 5 star restaurant. Never the less, the main character about this restaraunt stayed in place, the private cabins. We sat in one and it was a bit small for us but we managed. The kebab we had was extremely good and after we had everything, we could not get up. We spent around ten minutes after the waiter gave us the bill, sleeping and dozing off because we were very full. It was quite loud, but as we were in the private cabin, it did not affect us too much. However, Maybe the waiters could be better trained as they did forget one or two things we ordered plus they were relatively slow, But overall, it was a brilliant time and as a family experience, it was very good. i thoroughly recommend that you go their as a family or maybe a business lunch (or friends) and I hope, I come again here in the future.

Very average dining experience. Food was ok and portion size just about right but there are a number of issues which we had as a group. There was no ambience whatsoever inside the restaurant, and the restaurant area itself was freezing cold (we wrote jackets throughout our meal). Not enticing or attractive to customers, unless you're opting for a takeaway instead.

I have been visiting Azzizeya for years now. I solely love the atmosphere floor seating private cabins. I think I pay for the atmosphere more than the food. Not saying the food isnt good, but for me it’s the atmosphere which I love. However I do believe they should offer more variety on the food selection, if you haven’t been there, I would recommend you all to pay a visit. Highly recommended, it is located beneath the mosque which amazing… (like the dome of the rock in Juresalem). They have a car parking on site, but I would advise all drivers to be careful as it is extremely tight, park on nearby streets!

The place is suitable for large group because they have private room, but don't come with your empty stomach coz you need quite a time - the service is too slow, starvation is overated. Foods is OK not the best not that sucks either, but I really love the kebab and their price is affordable.

Aziziye Halal is a restaurant based in a Turkish area in the North of London. It is a really traditional restaurant. It has a big room with several tables and 4 or 5 small areas separated from the rest of the room that are more private.In these places tables and sits are low. It feels like a Japanese restaurant. You have to leave your shoes in a cabinet nearby, before going in.You can call your waiter pushing a botton and he helps you about the food menu. If you choose spicy food, don't forget to drink the traditional yogurt.What to eat? Meat, of course, but also some vegetarian plates. Price are affordable.

Rubbish service by that I mean tables that came after us were served food first although we ordered before them while they were just bieng seated. When the food eventually arrived 45 mins late, the Lahmachun was cold, the Pide was not only cold but the meat filling was meagre. the Aziziye Special had nothing special about it there wasn't enough for 2 people. 1 lamb chop & 1 skewered kebab is hardly a meal for 2!

Good location private rooms are ok. Food is avarage.The main thing is all halal Food service can be better.

I have been to this restaurant a few times now. Having said that, it's unlikely I'll be going back. The food is certainly not upto standard compared to other Turkish restaurants in the area. Service was extremely slow, tried to charge us for food we didn't receive and also charged us room charge for a cubicle we ended up sharing. Really need to sort themselves out.

You can get there the best Halal Food and turkish cuisine for an appropriate price in consideration for London standart.Focus is on general turkish food and not specified on Kebab meals like the most turkish Grill restaurants. if you are a fan of turkish food 100% satisfaction guarenteed.

This was my first time at this restaurant. The place looks really nice but we had waited for 1 hour and 10 mins for food. I was not impressed and told the waiter that am disappointed with the service. He was very apologetic and give us a a nice discount. The food was very nice and with the discount I guess they redemed themselves. Overall nice place, not sure if I'll go again though.
