A&T Star Italian/Turkish Restaurant in Breckland

We visited this restaurant in midweek, an early evening meal as we had heard good things about- my long suffering partner opted for a wrap and she was pleased with the fresh ingredients and the portion size was perfect- the fries were crispy and fluffy (I had my own portion as I value my safety), my lamb kebab was beautifully spiced and aromatic with the Bulgar rice a perfect accompaniment. I also tried the Turkish wine that had lovely cherry notes and just to be sure I had another. The lovely owners provided an additional, complementary starter and a taster of a dessert which was a nice touch. The menu also provides pizzas and burgers and therefore there should be something for everyone - they also offer takeaways. Highly recommended for a relaxing and nourishing meal

Amazing food, served quickly with free bread and dips while you wait. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Some of the best food I’ve had in a very long time. We will be back!

Our order was muddled but soon rectified. Good choice off food and great value. We will go again.

We were in this area on holiday and tried this restaurant on our first night here (a quiet Tuesday). Every dish was really tasty and cooked to perfection and the service was friendly and efficient. In fact it was so good, we came back on our last night (a busy Friday) and once again, the food and the service were excellent.

ordered a takeaway and paid £10.50 for chicken burger and chips. When it turned up it was small frozen burger with no salad or sauce on a dry bun. Not even nearly worth the money

We were visiting Attleborough for a birthday treat and looking for somewhere to eat. Tucked away in Queen's Square was a narrow fronted restaurant that might look off-putting to a casual glance. But inside is a luxurious Italian / Turkish restaurant with exceptional staff, great food and music to match the setting. We decided to eat Turkish on the evening we visited and had an exceptionally good meal. Although we only wanted to order main courses, the charming waiter insisted on bringing us a variety of tasters of which he was rightly proud. Beautifully baked flat breads with a range of dips and superb caramelised onions. My wife chose lamb chops (six on the plate), I chose a lamb shish with couscous, rice and salad, and our friends both chose king prawns (eight massive prawns grilled in their shell to retain their succulent juices). The wine was good and the service was excellent - jolly and attentive without being cloying. I would certainly return when we are the area again.

Turkish and italian the sign says. No, we dont have Italian tonight. No sir you cant have the mixed kebab, we only have chicken No madam you cant have the rocket salad we have no rocket We ended up with a house salad and a burger and chips, we could of had that at wetherspoons at half the price. A terrible experience, never again.

I'd heard mixed reviews on this place but I figured I'd visit and find out for myself. Sadly I can't give a glowing review. Visited mid week so there were only a few others at the restaurant, unfortunately I found it to be very cliquey, there could have been so much more effort put into serving us, especially as it wasn't busy in the slightest. Very cold breeze blowing down the restaurant (May), my partner did ask if the door could be closed but it was forgotten about. Slightly strange that it's a Turkish / Italian but we decided on the Turkish offerings; the starter was enjoyable enough but the mains were average at best. I don't like leaving negative reviews but I can't recommend this restaurant, in terms of giving the owners/ staff feedback - treat your customers equally with the enthusiasm they deserve!

Great family meal out tonight. Food was excellent and couldn’t fault the staff as all. Would def recommend. Homemade Baklava to die for x

Wow, wow, wow. Are you thinking of booking here? Book it, you won't regret it. I regularly visit here and bring my family and friends each time for a meal. The food is always delicious. Two menus Italian or Turkish to choose from, so you're spoilt for choice. It is affordable to eat here. Staff are always polite and pleasant. The new waiter chap is so lovely and kind he makes you feel welcome as soon as you have sat down. We have been kindly given free food on a birthday meal with the bread and dips. Lovely restaurant highly recommend.

My wife and I tried A&M 5Star today at 3.30 and the food atmosphere and staff are definitely 5star ,My wife had the lamb fillets which she said were cooked to perfection and I had the sea bass which is the best I've ever had,. What a lovely experience.We will definitely return and definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic. Very friendly, and the interior was very nicely designed. The couple running were very friendly hosts, and the food is fantastic! All meat is fresh and seasoned brilliantly. I shall be returning.

Excellent service warm welcome. Authentic.Portion size good especially feta salad. We chose a French white wine good value £17. Will definitely return and suitable for all ages.

Excellent food. My wife had the lasagna and she said it was the best she had ever had in her life which is saying something as she had it when we were in Italy and this was better.

Ordered chicken doner, had to pay extra £1.50 for chips instead of rice and bulgar, then when it arrived the chicken was extremely dry and hard, even hurt my teeth to eat. My girlfriend ordered a pizza which was very good however my chicken doner which cost £16.40 was awful. Would definitely not recommend their Turkish cuisine. To make matters worse, the table right in front of me had a large white bearded man who was speaking to some customers who were eating, the entire hour I was there, showing off about all the people he knows, how hard he is, how he’s been in loads of fights, how he makes 1 phone call and gets 8 people instantly to fight. I also heard him say that he is 20, but then later on telling a girl she’s going to be very good looking later on, who then says she is 12 years old. Overall, my experience here was bad in almost every aspect, the lady who served us was fine but not very friendly. As I left the restaurant, the obese man who had been talking rubbish the entire time said “hello” “bye” sarcastically as we left. Would not come here again.

We went as a group here on a Friday night. Lovely friendly service, table set up fine, starters fine (calamari) but my main dish was dreadful. The lamb was difficult to cut as it was so over cooked, it came with plain rice, a chilli, flat bread which was not tasty and a tomato. Over priced at £14 ish. My husbands lamb chops also over cooked same side dishes. We won’t be going back. The only reason we didn’t refuse to pay the bill was because our friend had chosen the venue and we didn’t want to upset her and ruin the evening. Chef must have known it was not great as most of it was left on our plates uneaten. Real shame as venue and service were lovely but the quality of food was dreadful.

Fantastic service and good dishes. We were offered a small taster amount of various starters which we delicious. We all had different wraps which we all enjoyed. Will be returning to try the Italian dishes next!

Really fresh and tasty Turkish mezze and the lamb kebab was really tender. Yummy pizzas too with authentic Italian bases. We will return.

Best quality Turkish food in reasonable price!!

Went last night the food was out of this world. The prawn casserole was amazing. I highly recommend going there. The staff and management are always so friendly and helpful.

Food was delicious but service was awful, was on a table in the middle of the restaurant and extra chairs were added to a side table leaving a very small gap yet people kept brushing past including staff while I was eating. Shame as food good and idea good but let down by poor service and table layout
