Great pub and lovely food. The staff are great however not always enough staff on causing long queues to order food and drink. The staff are always happy to help and very polite.

From walking in, I was greeted with a smile by a lady (sorry, I didnt catch her name) and Lee. Lee ensured I was looked after and served immediately. Superb guy - very helpful. Mike prepared a fabulous carvery and was very pleasant. Thank you very much. I would definitely highly recommend.

Very poor food, fish and chips was hard and over cooked. Hunters Chicken was dry, chips cold. Will not eat there again

Ordered two carvery dinners and only one delivered...

Came in today with no booking, the pub was completely full and we really didn’t want to look for anywhere else, especially not after seeing the carvery looking so good! The lovely manager, Sam, on the door managed to squeeze us in, and couldn’t do enough to make sure we were looked after! The food was piping hot and delicious. Very highly recommended, we will just make sure to book ahead next time!

Bland and boring, ok if you can’t think of anything else to do. No idea why it’s always busy, might as well go to the chippy to be honest.

Been coming here once a month with the lads since July 2024. Carvery is great, can't complain for what you get. Cakeaway is good as well, massive slices. Gutted last time as we were told our table time had ran out after just 1.5 hours, shame really as it cut our conversation short. Oh well can't be helped I suppose.

Had a lovely meal we had to send the mains back as they weren’t very hot but when they returned they were fine. Would definitely return

Couldn't fault the service today. Arrived with family no booking made and Emma the waitress and Levi couldn't be more helpful. They rearrange the tables for us so we could all sit together and was so helpful. Emma and Levi was fantastic. Thankyou for always being so caring and always ready to go the extra step. Visited a few times now within 4 years staff always friendly bar staff was a little faster this time than previous times I've been food the only downside was not much veg on carvery option my son only eats peas and they didn't have them on basic carrots ,broccoli ,cauliflower which was a bit hard for my liking but overall cheaper than previous places for a standard carvery drinks are priced at same as any other public house place very clean 8/10 ratings

We had a lovely early evening meal with our son, daughter-in-law and grandson. The food was really tasty and the staff we engaged with were very friendly and attentive. They even managed to find us an alternative table in a quieter section of the pub.

We we served by Emma who was exceptional. The Ash Tree Farm was absolutely heaving when my wife and grandaughter arrived but Emma was so lovely and despite not having booked in advance of what was an extremely busy service Emma managed to find us a table. She was attentive and couldn't be more polite helping customers whilst serving drinks, clearing tables,never stopping for a moment to take a breath ! I wanted to write this review and compliment this member of staff as all to often they can be overlooked. Thank you Emma for a fantastic lunch experience 😊 And before I for forget the food was delicious too😋

Brilliant service, warm and well cooked! We came with 3 kids in the holidays and Emma the last who was our waitress was so patient even when the kids were hard work! She went above and beyond to make sure they enjoyed their food and their day out!

Visited this evening for carvery, Michael who dished up my meat was very friendly and great with a knife. Found the beef to be quite fatty but all the veg, gravy and sauces were bang on. The service at the bar was fast and friendly, and the floor staff were all working hard to ensure the guests had a great experience. We will definitely return but will maybe try the gammon/turkey on our next visit

What sort of carvery doesnt allow veg top ups. Wasnt worth 16 quid by any means

We had the small carvery which is a great idea for people with smaller appetites. Overall it was tasty but the biggest let down was it was virtually cold. We went at 12.30pm on a Sunday so should have still been hot from cooking.

Just been here for food and it was terrible the egg was under cooked with the white part of the egg being transparent, asked for well done steak their was blood leaking from it onto the plate , the pepper corn sauce was stuck to the bottom of the jug , the chicken was like rubber and the sausage was mushy , won’t be coming back again highly disappointed hoping I don’t get poorly from it

I did not get what I paid for it was missing extra Yorkshire and pigs in blankets and I was given turkey which I did not order because I don't like it. The other food was good.

We were a party of seven celebrating the 26th birthday of my stepson who has special needs. Our server Levi was delightful and she did everything possible to ensure that we had a great time.

I wouldn’t bother going here it used to be to be really good but now really gone down hill the manager is cocky and doesn’t know what he’s on about order a chicken burger was missing Sause he then said I know it’s not missing then come over said yeah it is will make a new one so had to wait come out with Sause but the chicken was full of fat bits inside which means it’s cheap meat had a curry like a kids meal told us that’s how it come and nothing he can do then we told him we have this is other same chain restaurant he then goes on to say oh they freeze them and that’s why lol then when I make a complaint rings me and thinks he’s something on the phone when I tell him I want the area manager to deal with it not him as he’s part of the problem also one more thing the night we was there I seen around 5 people saying there carvery was cold even though they only just got them then I heard the same manager say something like better check the temperature so be very careful here guys i would try else where

Half the order missing and what did arrive was stone Cold . Really bad nearly £30 for 3 slices of meat and some veg.. this is the 2nd chance after apologies a few months ago, you wont be getting a 3rd

We often visit ash tree during the week but today we came on a Sunday. Carvery was nicer than ever and Levi our lovely waitress was amazing.

Emma the waitress welcomed us warmly. Ensured our table was clean and prepared. Was noticed to be attentive without being intrusive..helpful with takeaway box .etc .. Thankyou Emma hope your here next time we visit

We regularly pop in here for a meal and have always found it excellent. Visited again last night for our sons 18th and could not have been made to feel more welcome. The staff were always on hand throughout the night to help. Nothing was too much to ask. Menu food was absolutely delicious and all served quickly. The carvery was faultless as always too! Very nice gesture from the manager who bought our son a Guinness to celebrate his 18th. Special shout out to our server Kerry, she was absolutely brilliant all night and a fantastic sense of humour! Thank you for making it a really great evening 😊

Came in tonight family of 8 without a reservation after being let down elsewhere that we had booked. The staff could not have been nicer, they were so welcoming, seated us Insantly, we all ordered the carvery and a drink £88 for the 8 of us so wasn't to bad at all, the food was good and generous portions of meat given with a huge Yorkshire pudding 😋, all in all a great night, especially the lovely member of staff at the end that we had a great chat with before leaving. Will definitely be back. Tysm for bailing me out of what nearly ruined my cooking free night 🤣

Came yesterday for my mums birthday, the food was great staff were brilliant and did a great job especially the staff member on the carvery .

Disappointed that there was no Yorkshire pudding and the veg was very bland .. just carrots and cauliflower cheese and green beans … where was the rest

Absolutely fantastic meal. We was sat on table 55. Had 2 all day breakfast for myself and the wife. Meals were spot on, cashier was amazing. I think he was Calls Josh. The person who brought the meals out was very attentive and professional. I think he said he was called Lee. He did speak fast so I may of misheard it.
