ASDA Cafe in Antrim

Staff aren’t great sometimes Manager is very hot/cold Feel like you get shouted at at times Drinks machine is gross Sometimes it’s so busy staff can’t cope cause there’s not enough of them sometimes Food takes a long time to come out quality for the price is fine

Asked for a cheese chip and got served this chips were freezing cold and by the look of them they have been lying there a while! Disgusting avoid at all costs !!!!!!

All tables we covered in food dirty plates , manager was so rude to customers food that was served the chios were black looks like there oil hasn't been changed in over a year disgusting people are paying for this kind of vile food!!

I asked for the all day brunch with no meat and I didn’t get half of what was meant to be on it. I asked for my eggs to be well done as I’m pregnant and can’t have runny eggs and he mustn’t have understood because they were runny so I told the man I couldn’t eat them like that because I’m pregnant and he said he’d just heat the egg a bit longer and it was still runny. The chips tasted like they’d been sitting for a while then reheated in the microwave it was awful I couldn’t even eat it neither could my mum and all she ordered was chips. Waste of money.

Whoever heard of an Ulster Fry with no tomatoes? This upstairs cafe overlooks the Asda foodhall, but no tomatoes for breakfast! The totally disinterested server just shrugged - says it all....

Called in yesterday looking forward to steak pie and mash - very little choice. Either an all day breakfast or hand battered fish and chips. Reluctantly I chose fish and chips having already eaten breakfast. The lovely lady duly took my order and disappeared into the back to cook the fish. I made my cup of tea and sat down at a lovely clean table. The food arrived and I was shocked at the portion size, the fish (unsure of species) was roughy half the size of what they were pre pandemic, I counted 17 small to medium chips and probably two level spoonfuls of garden peas (mushy peas not available), even though it was served on a much smaller plate than usual it all still looked lost, it did cross my mind that I had been given a child's portion by mistake but looking around the cafe it seemed not. At £6.55 it was by no means cheap but definatly stingey. I'm going back to Morrissons, far larger and cheaper portions.

Called in for breakfast at Asda cafe, robin park, Wigan. None of the tables had been cleared, so we sat down at one thinking it would be cleared before we ate. It wasn't, given a wooden knife to eat it with, came with tomatoes over everything, which I don't like and were in place of bread and butter

I called in at Asda Antrim on Monday on my way to junction one , I was the only person at the counter, I was not spoked too I was totally ignored buy a female member of staff. I could understand she was serving breakfast to a few customers who where seated , but the least she could have done was acknowledge me and say I’ll be with you in a moment , went it came to take my order all she say was YES , I think Asda need to put training in place , not good at all.

Was in this morning for breakfast but sadly some asda staff sitting eating swearing at top of their voices. I think this is so unprofessional.

I was in with my 2 children this morning and the girl on the till was so surly and rude. She spoke to me with such an attitude and like I was stupid, snapped questions at me and was sarcastic; she does not have the personality to be working in the service industry! It's a shame as some of the other girls in there are lovely but one horrible person like that can really put you off going somewhere.

£2.50 for soup served in a desert bowl. You would get more in a cup a soup. Not great value - thought they made enough margin on groceries.

Visited Asda café for breakfast, ordered the 12 item breakfast and crumpets, eggs were cooked fresh whist the rest was plated plus the crumpets were toasted all while we waited and all done in a reasonable time. The breakfast was cooked well fairly good quality and very good value. Would defiantly return.

Met my mother for coffee and got a toastie with side chips which came out cold. Not impressed with portion size either

I only go here when I getting glasses which ASDA excel at. For a place that sells food you would think the like of the supermarkets would get a celebratory chef in to sort them out. I could ping a ready meal and it would be better

Called into this Cafe at 5pm to get food with a friend. Asked for fish and chips to be told they had no fish. When we asked what was available we were told they had no lasagne, chicken,fish or steak and ale pie.To be honest it would have been much easier to say what they had. We then ordered scampi and chips with peas. When the waitress brought it to our table we asked for tartar sauce to be told there was none my friend asked for mayonnaise again to be told that none was available. This is absolutely disgraceful as we were in a supermarket which sells all these products. Shame on asda.

went in here for breakfast with the family food was crap and the options where not good at all it looked all like mirco meals and the kids spat it out and didn't want to eat i would honestly not blame them i will not be back there again

I stopped here for to get a coffee or quick snack on a Sunday morning as they opened, It was about 10 to 1 but I didn't wait around, on display were the most unappetising sandwiches/panini offering. Nothing looked nice, another customer recommended a Starbucks also open closeby. I thought that it was strange that a store that sells fresh produce had better items in their fridge downstairs than what was being offered in their cafe. There is potential if they improve what they're offering as it's extremely cheap.

food arrived cold was told was microwave for customers beside drinks machine to heat food, fry was like food had been sitting for ages horrible, also put review in box and saw them remove it straight away

I visited today,my daughter had a milkshake from the cooler which she drank straight down,she commented that it tasted a bit funny and when she checked the use by it was 2days out of date,i took it to the counter girl along with the 2 bottles that remained in the chiller that were also out of date,she said,oh sorry,threw the 3 bottles in the bin and asked if she wanted another. My daughter was sick shortly after we got home.

I found the soup very good and a real bargain yesterday at £1.50. I was there again today and was charged £2.25 - I was advised that the offer of £1.50 had been applied too soon ! However that said, it was still good value and from Tuesday 2nd January it will be £1.50 again. Excellent value if you are at Junction One in Antrim looking for offers as I usually am.

I have nothing further to say other than without doubt this place serves the worst Ulster Fry I have ever had

Uno de los peores lasagna que he tenido. Primero que todo, fue abofeteado en el plato. No intentamos que sea a mitad de camino decente. Sabía como una comida preparada muy barato. Capa superior estaba frío y duro y la Misa del gallo de la capa debajo de probado Muy grasiento. Las patatas fritas sabor como habían sido durante horas. La ensalada consta de un tomate cherry cortados por la mitad y unos trozos de lechuga flojo que sabía de la suciedad. Esta fue mi primera visita a la cafetería y será la última.

Este es un café de estilo servicio en una gran tienda de ASDA, con una amplia variedad de comida caliente y fría. La comida es razonable, el fry parece ser muy popular, todo a precios bajos.

Having used asda cafes on numerous I find they are consistent in being handy if you're hungry and shopping. The food is small in quantity and not great quality but it is dirt cheap!

usually get a 5 piece fry about 10ish in the mornings staff not friendly food tastes cheap handy as a pick me up when doing a big grocery shop child friendly just a let down to asda store as staff much more helpfull

Fuimos para el desayuno cuando pasando aquí. Fue uno de los peores 'Ulster Frys" que he tenido. Las setas estaban fríos, el pan de patata en aceite de goteo era que sabían como el aceite viejo que habían sido utilizados para comida fry el día anterior, los huevos eran muy cocidas. Café instantáneo precio inteligente es mejor que de la máquina. En realidad, hay poco punto de llevarme a través de cada uno de los ingredientes ya que todos ellos eran terribles. Evitar.

We called in to have breakfast before starting our shopping. You can not see what the food is like as it is behind black screens for whatever reason. We both ordered a fry and tea. The fry was cold and hard. The mushrooms were swimming in water and it was the smallest portion of beans I have ever seen.The tea is given to you as a teapot and mug which you then have to go fill yourself from a hot water machine. This was a disaster-as first he didnt give us any teapots-then the teapots had no teabags in them-then one of the replacement teapots still had no tea in it! The cutlery and tables are not very clean-it was also quite cold up in the seating area. It isnt the cheapest place around so it isnt really offering value for money.You can definately get better in the town and in local area

We called in here to do a bit of shopping & hadn't had any breakfast because we were on the go early. Your food is plated behind a black screen where you can't see it. That should have been a warning sign! The food was lukewarm & starting to harden. When I went to collect cutlery I had to search through a number of knives to find a clean one. Don't think I'll be back

I wanted to grab a quick coffe and was tempted by an offer of Danish pastry and coffee for I think it was £2. It was not good - a waste of money. You fill your own coffe at a machine and the pastry was edible but not enjoyable. I guess you get what you pay for! I'll wait until I go home for coffee next time. Staff were pleasant enough though.

I called in for a quick lunch on the way back to work. The customer service from one of the female servers (I noted her name) was diabolical, is the only way to describe it. Very rude & sort of launched the food at us. Obviously just couldn't be bothered! Not good enough! I don't normally ever do this but this experience with this one girl was exceptionally bad.Food was ok by the way but I'll not be back!

Ordered chicken and chips omg chicken raw blood running out of it , brought back waitress apologised and asked if I wanted something else told her to replace with fry . Omg fry came out sausages cremated Bacon must have been left from the morning Egg dirty gave back to waitress who was mortified but very pleasent have to say felt sorry for her . Waitress came back minutes later said she spoke to manager who gave full refund for my meal and my friend who was with me who had chips sausage beans chips were left and sausage left too but they liked the beans what more can I say NEVER AGAIN

Picked up nutty crust toasties. Server took it and it was put in the oven warmer. Handed back. Bread was still white, cheese half melted, bread not toasted but chewy and tasted stale. I have had mixed visits to here, kids meals are normally good.

My wife and I have been coming here from Newtownabbey on a regular basis for a few years. We dine out on the 'Titanic' fry and there are plenty of options for the kids. I agree that it isn't the cleanest and we often have to clear the last customers' table for them in order to make room but we view it as a small price to pay for the excellent value for money. If it's a hearty and filling cooked breakfast you're after (ideal to give you energy for a shopping trip or to cure your head!) and at reasonable prices, this is a big hit. It was never going to be haute cuisine but it's damn good!A few criticisms though - there is one staff member who I find consistently unfriendly. He doesn't share the pleasant joviality of his colleagues on the earlier shift. Also, the volume of the tannoy used to make in-store promotional announcements is excessive and can prove distracting when having your meal. (That's because they're Asda, and they're deafening you everyday)

ordered a sausage bap it was served with no butter , 2 sausages plonked inside and they were just warm,asked for americano coffee with some hot milk was told i could not have hot milk, also an over size cup was presented to me as they did not have any clean coffee cups , there was only 2 other people in the cafe wonder why? not very clean so will not be going there again

Handy cafe for a quick meal or a snack, but generally untidy with lots of uncleared and uncleaned tables. Usually have to ask for a small container for milk, otherwise you have to make another trip to the milk jug on the self-service counter.Part served, part self service, so it doesn't quite work.Having said all this, I will be back as it is a great spot for people watching.

They continue to serve a range of appetizing low cost meals. Breakfasts are great. Quality of service depends on who is on duty and there is little evidence of good supervision.

I go to asda every Sunday for lunch before shopping. The fish and chips are made to order and they are fantastic probably even better than some restaurants. For £4.95 it is hard to beat. I also find the staff in antrim asda very nice. Although sometimes they are under pressure with not enough staff on.

Went here for a quick snack and I saw that I wanted to try some of their chips. A staff member came out and told me I couldn't get chips because she could not serve food and there was nobody else around. Safe to say I'll not return anytime soon.

With such a simple and successful formula why let it slip through poor supervision. Despite the surfeit of staff at times, with five of more tripping over each other behind the counter, there are periods where all but one disappear. A lack of regular table clearing and cleaning (in common with similar establishments customers have the option to clear their own tables but more often these days they don't ) less care being taken in taking customers requests and quality of food and cooking is variable. No one seems to be in charge. No obvious supervision. Sadly the policy on free refills of tea, coffee and soft drinks has changed it may have been wiser to increase the price of beverages and continued refills. However they do have a loyalty card offering one free drink after seven purchased. Disappointed to see standards slipping during three recent visits.

Most people don't have high expectations of supermarket and it is easy to get the impression that they don't try hard to please since they are dealing with a captive market. So far I think this one is the best in its class. It is amazingly good value for money. The food is good and wholesome. It is a large and spacious area. Free refills of tea and coffee etc and the staff are hardworking and friendly. I go out of my way to have a hearty breakfast here and enjoy a bit of escapism.
