Very disappointed today. All coffee shops closed at 5pm or earlier today and I found this little nice Artisan Cheesecake to get a coffee. Came at 5pm, you have open till 6pm but your staff disappointed me as being told 1 hr before close time that she cleaned the coffee machine and cannot make me a coffee while coffee was on offer on board! I wanted to buy the bagels too but really left the shop. Won't be back again!

Got a slice of s’mores cheesecake to takeaway and eat immediately at the links as it was a lovely day. £4 for a big slice which was more than enough so you could probably share !

Es gibt viele Sorten Käsekuchen, wir haben Caramel Brownie und Dark Chocolate Beery probiert sehr lecker und cremig. Preise mit ca. 4,50 Pfund völlig im Rahmen. Sehr kleiner, individueller Laden, toll. Keine Tische, aber man kann am Fenster sitzen. Wir fahren sicher nochmal hin.

Nice little place with tasty cheesecakes. They even have a good selection of bagels. But we here for the cheesecakes. We ordered an amaretto and pistachio and a malteser cheesecake. Both of which were nice, but I didn’t really taste much nuts on mines and my wife just thought hers was like a normal cheesecake with malteser on top (nothing particularly special). It was also a shame that the cheesecake was presented in a cardboard box so it was a bit crushed. We also got a bounty cheesecake milkshake and a Daim cheesecake milkshake. Both of which were terrific. Really tasty actually. Much better than the last milkshake I had. On top of that we ordered a rollo and milkybar traybake. Both were good but probably would have been tastier if we were hungrier when we ate them. The girl that served us was very nice and was able to offer recommendations. Overall, we are glad we have went and we enjoyed the food but not the best cheesecakes we’ve had.

First day off of the year and thought we would treat ourselves to a visit to our favourite cafe. Popped in at about 11am and we were the only customers in. We were greated with a disappointed face and told they could give us a table but we would need to be gone by 2pm. Even though the place was empty. We got given a small table in the back next to the kitchen. Ordered our bagels and coffee. Coffee arrived cold and bagels were mainly filled with red onion. Disappointing service and food which is sad considering we have never had a problem before. Maybe just don't visit on a Wednesday morning

The cheesecakes aren't just great here, so are the bagels! Especially like the Arthur's Seat and Sassy Stockbridge. And the Chocolate Orange and Milk Way cheesecakes are absolutely divine. Looking forward to more great lunches from here.

Slow service. Awkward layout. Good, but not amazing products. Expensive for what your expecting. Maybe worth trying other places! Maybe they should try going a ‘customer walkthrough/journey’

Very sweet little cheesecake shop with great variety of cakes and drinks too. Grabbed a vegan bagel that was divine and a nice n cool ginger beer, ate it on the bench outside in the sunshine. Love it, will be back for sure 🥯

My second visit to Artisan Cheesecake and as per the first, couldn't fault it. Today I went for the mac and cheese burger with an extra topping of chilli con carne. Lovely skin on fries and homemade coleslaw alongside barely got touched as the burger was so big! My peers had the mac n cheese melt, food hero burger and Ratho bagel. All were very satisfied. We took cheesecake home as we were all too full from our mains. No doubt they'll be delicious as always! Will definitely be coming again next time I'm in the area.

Have been coming back to this place over and over whilst living in Edinburgh. The cheesecake itself is great, but recently the slices have gotten so much smaller! And the toppings are much more stingy than they used to be! Sad to see the change, the cheesecake flavour is cracking still

Went here for the first time to collect and as a vegetarian I was so happy with the option to go veggie or vegan and for it to not just be your usual salad . My girlfriend had the buttermilk chicken burger and loved it and I had the veggie hotdog :) I would absolutely love it if they had a few more veggie / vegan option especially for breakfast and I would definitely be there for a good hangover brekkie :) Amazing food and service especially in this time with covid , keep supporting your local businesses ❤️ Keep up the good work guys ! ps the girl serving me was great and big up to the chefs for keeping the place running under such immense pressure

I purchased a bagel, the price on the board was ‘£4.95’ and I was charged ‘£5.95’, when I asked why I was told ‘the price up there is wrong’.

Had a takeaway a couple times and cheesecakes have always been amazing. Not found anywhere that does them quite as good.

Recently moved into Bruntsfield area and whilst exploring the shops I came across this delightful place. I am so thankful I went in. I tried and tasted the best cheesecake ever. I have returned and I will be back again no doubt. Lovely staff too!!!

Rien qu'à les voir, on voit la qualité. Ils font envie, et ils sont excellent. Nous avons goûté celui au citron, au kinder Bueno, et à la vanille, et c'était un délice. Textures et goûts parfaits. We visited here twice on our trip to Edinburgh. Both times the service was particularly friendly and helpful. Particular favourite was Banoffee - fantastic flavour and texture! If we lived closer we would be here very often!

Now as I do not like cheesecakes I was a bit wary about attending- however after having one bite of the brownie I was proven wrong! Tastiest I have ever had in a lovely relaxed setting with friends.

Nos esperaba una deliciosa tarta después de 30 minutos a pie de la ciudad vieja. Vale la pena la distancia, era difícil elegir. Nos instalamos para Tablet escocés (fudge) y mantequilla de cacahuete Tarta de oreo.

Siamo andati in questo piccolo negozietto proprio perché alla ricerca di una buona cheesecake e devo dire che l’abbiamo assolutamente trovata! Vari gusti, tutti molto validi e golosi; unico neo la commessa che ci ricordava che il locale alle 18 chiudeva, nonostante fossero solo le 17.15! Si vedeva proprio che voleva che ce ne andassimo il prima possibile! Per cui si per la cheesecake, ma proprio no per il personale.

I had planned to eat my birthday cake here during my trip to Edinburgh, as I was staying in the same street. Unfortunately they open quite late in the morning, 10 a.m., so I visited the following day in the afternoon. We had a lovely raspberry cheesecake and luckily we could eat there. There's is just one large table for around 4-5 people and a tiny one. The price is fixed per slice, I think each costs now 3.85.

Artisan cheesecakes are simply the best there is. In particular their Millionaires cheesecake is my absolute favourite but they do a wide range so there is bound to be something for everyone.

An amazing place. Just visited as a friend has decided to move to Bathgate. The cheesecakes look super rich but are surprisingly light. I had the strawberry Eton mess cheesecake which was lush! Great place and friendly staff.

Nipped in here after lunch at 1912 (also recommended) and picked up another slice of cheesecake to enjoy later that day. With a choice of 5+ different cheesecakes it was hard to settle on just one. From experience, regardless of what flavour you choose, it's almost guaranteed to be delicious. Will be back again soon!

Been wanting to visit this place for over a year and it didn't disappoint. The cheesecakes are to die for.

I travel to Edinburgh every year to celebrate my birthday, January .Our whole family are devotees of this shop filled with beautiful artistic cheesecakes .I started telephoning before our journey to Edinburgh phone just ringing out after many hours I checked the Facebook web page nothing untoward and also their own website .I then sent them a message asking them to contact me urgently almost 5 weeks later no response to date. On arrival in Edinburgh I explained to the hotel what had happened they attempted to telephone also.

I used to purchase my cheesecakes from another shop in my local area but I decided to purchase one from Artisan Cheesecakes in Bathgate while I was there, and I was really surprised at how tasty they were, not only that, but they were much bigger than the ones I used to purchase, albeit they were slightly more expensive, but they were well worth the money and I have had many more since. I buy two slices which I cut in half and I share them with my wife so that we get to sample all their cheesecakes.

We ordered a cheesecake for a party we were going to. We took 3 different cheesecake slices home. All of them were delicious. The strawberry shortcake, banoffi, Nutella.The cake for the party was a success too. Thank you Artisan I hope this business is very successful. I'm here every week! Facebook let's you know what they have currently made. They can run out of the popular ones in hours so you need to be quick. If your worried it may go you can ring up and pay by card over the phone to reserve. I am crazy about cheesecakes and used to try them everywhere I go. This is now the only place I get cheesecake as everywhere else is second class. I recommend the strawberry and white chocolate or a one with coconut but I've never had a bad one!

Went here the other day to get cheesecakes to take away. It was maybe 15 mins after it opened but didn't feel the choice was that great. Anyway got a mint aero and a kinder beuno and a milkybar. The mint aero one the only bit I could taste the mint was on the ball that was the aero ball the rest was bland and didn't have much taste. The milkybar one was described as average and the kinder one I was told was very good. Used to love going here for cheesecake but have made a few myself and was told by my family eating these that mines are better with more flavour so maybe should stick to making my own.

A bit of a trek to get to but worth it - if you like cheesecake. When we went, there was Tunnocks Teacake, Oreo Biscuit, Eton mess, Raspberry and white chocolate, galaxy, Scottish tablet (bet that one is sweet) and Kinder Bueno. I had the Tunnocks Teacake. You get a large slice and for some reason two spoons (you mean I'm meant to share?) but my husband isn't big on sweet things. It was quite delicious and my friends and family did want to know either where this place is or at least the recipe. Apparently there are 300 varieties but obviously don't do all of them at the same time. there are only about 6 seats in the cafe but you can take away (phew). The actual cafe is tiny so probably most people do take away. If you like/love cheesecake, this is the place for you. I understand they are made in Livingstone and sent up to Edinburgh where they add the toppings. My Tunnock's had teacakes within the cheesecake and was decorated with crushed teacakes. Don't expect to be able to eat anything else for a couple of days!

I have always loved cheesecake so have tried lots from all over but have to say artisan cheesecakes are the tastiest! Plus you can get a cheesecake milkshake! If you like your cheesecakes you won't be disappointed!

We found Artisan Cheesecakes one Sunday afternoon and decided to stop for a coffee and cheesecake and have never looked back! They have approximately 50 varieties at times to choose from and the decision of which one to choose is impossible. You can eat in or take-away and last Christmas we bought a whole cheesecake to share with family! It also freezes well! The staff were amazingly friendly and our whole visit was very pleasurable.

One word , amazing cakes ! If I wasn't watching what I was eating so much I would be there every day !Only downfall to me as that it's so small. Would be nice if the place is a little bigger so you can fit more people in . That's all x

The cheesecakes sold in this tiny shop are amazing. Even though it's a bit of a walk out of the city centre, we always visit whenever we are in Edinburgh. An incredible range of flavours which all taste fantastic, and are reasonably priced. There are a couple of tables but if you go on a weekend, you might be pushed to get through the door of the shop, that's how popular it is. If you like cheesecake, you really must visit here!

We visited after seeing a video on Facebook. So glad we did. The selection of cheesecakes was awesome, it was really hard to choose just one. The slices are huge so you might need to take some home with you. I got the wispa one and it delivered everything it promised. Friendly service too.

In Edinburgh for the moonwalk and visited this little place on recommendation, so glad we did. The cheesecakes are to die for. I had the salted caramel peanut and my friend a special one they had developed in honour of the moonwalk with strawberries and white chocolate!! Both were fabulous and we enjoyed every mouthful. Service was also excellent, very friendly without being in your face! Thanks for a great visit, we'll definitely return next time we're in Edinburgh.

The Malteser cheesecake tasted sour and like a block of cheese and I would not class this as a 'Malteser' cheesecake as it only had 4 Malteser balls on top and taste nothing like them. The fudge cheesecake was very watery and had no texture to it. However the service was lovely.

It was my first time visiting last weekend and the cheesecake I had was by far the best cheesecake I've ever had! I got the raspberry and lemon one and fell in love with it! It is to DIE FOR! , even though I expected the store itself to be a bit bigger, I still left with a massive smile!

My wife has heard a lot of favourable comments about this cafe/shop in the past and now that a family member has recently moved to Bathgate we will be visiting the town on a regular basis.I just knew when she said that she was going to have a look at 'Artisan Cheesecakes' that she would not return empty handed. She bought a slice of three different cheesecakes for us to enjoy. Not cheap but they were lovely. Well worth going to.

Daughter had seen this on the net. After telling mum and as we regularly drive this road we had to call in. In the middle of the village and no direct parking available we went in. The front sign is a bit dated and dull in colour. I don't like cheesecake but guess who does. Brought two pieces back to N Ireland so guess shortly I will be told what they think.

Try tunnochs cheescake they have the tunnochs Marsh mallow inside simply fab. My kids love getting cheescake from artisan they won't go anywhere else now. As they said no one can make cheescake like there's. I've bought for family get together soon and party's and mostly just for family pudding. I'd read a Buzzfeed article raving about Artisan Cheesecakes a couple of months ago so it was a must-visit on the itinerary for our family trip to Edinburgh.We went to the Edinburgh shop on Bruntsfield Place today and weren't disappointed in the slightest! There was a gorgeous selection of cheesecakes, from regular vanilla to eton mess, jaffa cake, nutella and strawberry...there were just so many options! I went for a slice of Caramac cheesecake (deliciously creamy and smooth with lovely Caramac flavour and a perfect digestive biscuit base - yum!) and my husband and mother-in-law each had their pieces (chocolate fudge and jaffa cake, respectively) blended into milkshakes with vanilla ice cream and milk and topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. VERY decadent, but they both loved them!The guy serving behind the counter was absolutely lovely; charming, friendly and welcoming. It was just such a pleasure visiting the shop. It's a little on the pricey side (£5.50 for a milkshake), but in my opinion it is more than worth it in order to support a local, independent business selling quality food.Highly recommended!

We perched on the stools for some of the best cheesecake I've ever tasted. The peanut butter and chocolate one was huge with a piece of brownie perched on top, and easily shared between two. Even details such as the brownie were delicious. I can't wait to go back to try different flavours!

They have the best cheesecakes I have ever tried. I personally recommend the Maltesers Cheesecake, but it is possible that they won't have it since they change flavours everyday. They have great customer service.

Wendy and her team do a great job not just here but at their other shops.I am biased when it comes to cheesecake now and will only have it if it comes from Artisan Cheesecake. We have been in a number of times and have never had a bad slice and always get the selection box mix at Christmas.Artisan were also nice enough to make us a wedding cake cheesecake for our wedding.If your near drop in, you wont be disappointed

Visited today with my girlfriend and her daughter, and absolutely loved it. Always planned to go with my ex wife, but never got the chance for whatever reason, but so glad we came along today. A delightful wee place, with some of the most delicious cheesecake creations known to mankind. A lovely cup of coffee, and the wee one adored her hot chocolate. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny. Quality you would not get anywhere else, and I can't wait to come back. The staff were very friendly, and a pleasure to talk to, and a credit to the firm. Best afternoon treat ever.

Today was the first time I've been to the Livingston shop, I've been to the Bathgate one several times before though - all I can say is wow! Every type of cheesecake I've tried has been unbelievable, and the staff are always so so friendly (especially the lady and man who served me in Livingston today!) My absolute favourite is the tunnocks tea cake one which if you've never tried before, you are seriously missing out!

My daughter read about this place online in Canada and decided we should visit when we were coming back to UK to visit family. We went to the Bruntsfield Place shop. Beautiful, light and fresh cheesecake. Not too sweet. A beautiful wee shop. We would highly recommend it.

Honestly, cannot praise this place enough. Their cheesecakes are absolutely gorgeous both visually and flavour!! You can choose from several different kinds of cheesecakes that have been creatively made as well as different sizes, an individual slice with a cup of freshly ground coffee or an individual cake for a bigger treat, even made to order. The staff are always so friendly and go out their way to deliver a good service. The inside of the shop is rather small so be quick to grab a seat. It feels like a traditional french country kitchen with a shabby chic atmosphere. Absolutely spectaular.

Visited artisan after not being here for a while. Last visit was excellent and good to see standards have not dropped and cheesecakes are still lip smacking and extremely tasty.Very clean premises and cheesecakes are amazing. Red velvet a favourite of ours. Heard that people travel as far as 25 miles to come here so we are lucky it is on our doorstep.Well recommendee

Lovely wee place! This is the best cheesecake you will ever taste! The selection is fabulous and it is almost impossible to make up your mind! When we go we each get a different flavour and swap plates! We also end up buying some to take home! I cannot praise Artisan highly enough! The staff are very welcoming and friendly and they are always happy to describe each cheesecake to help you decide!

Cheesecake to take away for us. There is an option of sitting in, but the small tables are squeezed into the front of shop so I don't think I'd feel relaxed enough to eat here. We got a selection of flavours because they all looked so delicious and they didn't disappoint. So, so tasty!! Couldn't recommend highly enough!
