Amazing food and service, will definitely eat there again.

Have had the pleasure of eating here on many visits to Clacton. Lovely family run restaurant & superb authentic Thai food.

Went there with three girlfriends on Saturday evening. Wonderful food and service. The owners are lovely and I really recommend this place.

We have been here several times and each time the food and service has been amazing. Just be mindful that it is a cash only restaurant. Can't wait to visit again! X

What a great find this little place was. Lovely, friendly service, great food, especially the Mussamun curry, best I’ve ever had!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The food was delicious and we enjoyed chatting with the owner Mui. She was very helpful in helping us pick something we would like, and took the time to have a friendly chat. Ben the chef was also very friendly, and is very good at his job.

Quite dull inside. Food is overrated and quite basic and nothing special for Thai food having been to many. Food came to £44 and then give us a bill for £50. Where did the extra £6 come from? I gave £60 in notes because they only take cash (I wonder why) and got back £9.15, again, where did the 85p go? Easily got £6+ off us. Didn't want to say anything as I had a crying baby. Don't understand the reviews. I just won't be coming again.

What a little gem in Clacton town centre! The food was first class, there was a good atmosphere and attentive staff. The food was good value for money and the drinks were reasonable. It was our first visit but certainly won’t be our last. Make sure you take cash as there are no card payment facilities.

It was our first visit and a real treat. Excellent, friendly service and absolutely delicious food. We ate every scrap and were more than happy with the price. It was our first visit to Clacton and our meal here made it very special. We would come again on our next visit to Clacton. Highly recommended.

For those wishing for an alternative to the fast food options that characterise Clacton's seafront and centre, Aroy Thai provides freshly cooked tasty Thai food just five minutes off the main strip. Delicious food and friendly and efficient service was exactly what we were looking for. NOTE doesn't take credit cards but are careful to let you know on entrance

The taste is very, very authentic. There are so many Thai dishes in the UK, and they are the most delicious. The combination of Tom Yum Goong, red curry, and the menu of salad is unbeatable. The best Thai food ever!!!

We was staying in Clacton and came across this restaurant in a back street. It's a cute little place. I can really recommend the food it was delicious and a reasonable price.

Drove in from outta town and found this lowkey gem of a Thai restaurant and the food is amazing. Amazing flavours, spice levels, quantity & quality. The dine in option is good but I had the takeout and it was just as good if not better. Would definitely recommend!

My partner, daughter and myself were looking for a Thai meal as I hadn't had one before and it was my birthday luckily we found this slightly out of the centre of Clacton and we were glad we did the food was delicious all of us couldn't have chosen anywhere better everything was spot on and we even helped save a baby seagull but that's another story.

Did not enjoy the food. When complained that it was bland. I was told that they do not make it hot so catering for the English pallet. They gave me some chilli flakes to put on it, it was not the same. Would not go back again.

Staying in Clacton I decided to try this restaurant recently. Be aware it is cash only and no cards are accepted. I ordered a Pad Ka Prow which I ordered spicy. The food was tasty, just lacking the real kick that I was expecting. Lovely staff who were friendly. Nice little restaurant.

Simply the best friendly run family Thai restaurant for miles around. Their menu is extensive and more importantly food excellent. This is our favourite restaurant in Clacton by far!

The service was good. Did adapt the dishes as I was vegetarian. Disappointed that the sweet and sour dish I had did not have any pineapple or spring onion in it. Also be aware they add service charge to the bill and they only take cash. Sorry Wouldn't return as thought it worked out expensive.

This place is great for a night out, staff are very welcoming, very friendly. Food was absolutely amazing and the price wasn't bad at all. Definitely will return. If you live locally or on holiday i would recommended you wont be disappointed 👌

A very good experience. Food authentic Thia and a bottle of Chablis at £25 is excellent value for money. It’s cash only which is a pain and not necessary with low card charged however I can highly recommend . Food is great

Was looking forward to visiting this restaurant last weekend but what a disappointment. I booked a table for 4 as I thought a Saturday night would be busy but when we arrived there was only another couple of tables taken. This didn't make the atmosphere that great. Ordered 9 dishes and only found one that was OK. The main problem was the quality of the chicken which did not taste fresh or have a good texture. I lived in Thailand for sometime and although was not expecting the same level of food, I know what the dishes should taste like. I would say don't waste you money and cook it yourself.

Late dinner after the Theatre. Was able to sit down late 10:30 on a Saturday night for 4 people. We were the last customers but felt very welcome and not rushed. The food was proper authentic and brought back many memories of the land of smiles. Nice owners.

Just returned from a friend’s 70th birthday celebration this afternoon. Food was decent but I was charged £11 for 2 pints of Diet Coke! I was too shocked and embarrassed to ask. Surely that overpriced?

Came across this place by chance when attending a wedding over the weekend. Staff were friendly and very helpful pointing out which meals our granddaughter could have as a vegan. Food was delicious with my son-in-law saying that his meal (chicken tikka madras) was the best he'd ever had! Reasonably priced. If ever that way again would definitely go and eat again.

Having read the reviews and having been recommended by two locals we were excited about the prospect of our visit. Sadly the event was disappointing. The food was far too overheated and by that, I don't mean the temperature I mean the spices. My Pad Ta Krai (advertised as Medium) was smothered in strong soy and most unpleasant...it was far too strong and my wife's Mee Go Leng was similarly far too heavy with curry. It was also supposedly 'Medium'. So readers if you don't want your mouth burned don't eat here. By the way its cash only NO CREDIT CARDS

We visited the restaurant two days in a row, the food is excellent. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. The only downside is they only take debit cards and not cash or credit cards.

This was our 4th visit. Small intimate. Food excellent. Service and attention very good. Food so tasty and fresh. By far the best Thai restaurant in the Clacton area that we have visited. My husband believes its the best Thai food he has ever had.

We ordered and collected a multiple dish meal for 5 people. Ready in 20 minutes.!, The meats (chicken and duck) were cooked but the sauces and sauces were very thin and tasteless, even the green Thai curry had no body or taste. The spicy sauce...

I love Thai food. There's a few places in the area that do it really well, this one is one of the best. Everyone is so nice, and they'll make sure you really have everything you want. Also, don't sleep on the broccoli side dish, it's amazing.

We had a delicious meal this September evening on a one-off trip down from London. Fresh, great flavours and very friendly service. The morning glory, grown organically locally was a real standout. Clacton’s lucky to have such an outstanding restaurant.
