Had a great time at this pub with my wife! We ordered sea bass and fish & chips – the sea bass was decent, but the fish wasn’t quite up to the mark. That said, the atmosphere was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the vibe. The people there were lovely, and the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to the lady at the door who was super helpful and welcoming. And a big thanks to Can, who served us with a smile every time I asked for extra sauces and vinegar – really nice guy! Overall, a great experience. Would definitely come back for the atmosphere and service!

Really tasty food. 3 small plate starter selection was a really good choice...the Dauphanoise chips were next level!! Also, the 3 mini desserts offering was delicious. Service was very good...warm & friendly inter actions. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing..decor lovely. Will definitely return to try other items on menu...this was my second visit this year. Saw other customers food choices...looked enticing!!

Nice warm welcome but service after that was not good. The children’s meal arrived lots of salad and only two strips of chicken the chips were also stone cold. I ordered a roast beef well done and it was very under cooked despite my request for it to be well done. I had to send it back but by the time the meat was replaced my meal was cold and there was no gravy just two dry pieces of meat. It also said that the roast Would come with greens but it only came with carrots so overall not a pleasant meal for the price so I won’t be returning.

Sat night and they managed to seat 2 pretty quickly. A little disappointed with their fish and chips and “signature” dessert (chocolate bomb with chopped banana) though. Easy parking outside

Went here Friday evening for my nieces birthday meal, table booked for 7pm it was fairly quiet with lots of empty tables. Drinks arrived after around 30 minutes with two missing which we had another wait for as our waiter went to take someone else's order! After close to an hour food arrived with one extra side that we hadn't ordered and one side missing plus a main course missing. The missing side was chased up and came approximately 10 minutes later with still no sign of the main! After asking again I was told there was a misunderstanding and the main was not put through (not sure what could be possibly misunderstood about ordering a meal off the menu) I was asked if I still wanted it- at this point everyone was finishing their mains so I declined! Was then offered a free dessert to which I declined because obviously I would now have to get dinner elsewhere and didn't want to eat a dessert as a main course! Aside from that all food arrived barely warm, steak pie was extremely chewy, cod in batter was very thin and once 'meat' was removed from the skin there was barely anything left, portion sizes were tiny (maybe they had ran out of chips and mashed potato). Birthday girl niece had a piece of curly fluff sticking out the top of her meal and mushy peas had a small bit of clear plastic in them! Condiments were offered as all the food was being finished and we didn't bother to ask for anymore drinks (not that we were offered) because by this point we couldn't wait to get out and I was hungry! All in all extremely disappointed, not one person out of 7 enjoyed their meal and couldn't finish it. Not even a free meal could tempt me back here! A girls birthday ruined... thanks Arkley!

We had a terrific family celebration, tye team of Katy,Alex, Adrian and Andrei provided an excellent level of service and are obviously well trained, motivated and experienced, keep up the good work! would love to see the outside painted a softer colour.

My wife and I plus two good friends met for a 1pm lunch, and on behalf of all I can honestly say how much we all enjoyed the meal and drinks. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff very friendly. Our choices of food came from the very reasonably priced fixed (2 or 3) courses menu. Our chefs were Alecs & Sorin and our servers, Milly & Robert. Recommended.

A group of 10 of us went for lunch today at 12.15. Only two people front of house that I could see. Serving drinks and taking orders. Really need 4. Took ages to get a drink. When they did take the order about 12.40 we did not get our food till 14.10! Food was OK as such nothing to shout about. Shame as venue looks nice. Not a lot of car parking space when it's busy. Only use the venue, as it is just outside UKEZ zone

This is my Sister's Favorite Place and she took us here. We were a small group of 4 and the Arkley offered us a truly delightful experience. The drinks and food were absolutely fantastic – flavorful, and generously portioned. Loved the Chipotle Sticky Chicken, Fries, Onion Rings and Desserts. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome throughout. The service was impeccable, adding to the relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The people around were warm and welcoming as well. I would highly recommend The Arkley for anyone looking for drinks, foods and excellent hospitality.

Came for my Nan’s 87th Birthday Dinner. Great Service by our lovely waitress Katy. And the chefs Sonin and Adrian did a great job as the food was lovely.

We hosted a dinner at The Arkley to celebrate my daughters birthday an everyone had such a wonderful evening. Huge thanks to Olivia and all the staff who made us feel so welcome and pulled out all the stops to ensure we had a great time. The food was excellent and the staff attentive to everything we needed. Thank you, we look forward to visiting again soon!

We have eaten here the odd occasion or two. Never had such bad food before. They managed to get the orders completely wrong and when it finally, arrived the rotisserie chicken was dry beyond anything. I wasn't even able to chew it, I tried to run it down with a pint but I'm the end I had to leave mostly uneaten with the very soggy fries that came along with it. 7 months later as a present we got a parking fine via a Bailiff for parking on their property when visiting them, using their public parking space. We never even received a first fine or warning in the first place. We paid for the food, which was not edible below any standard about 110 GBP. Then debt collection out of the blue zero warning, 170 GBP. What a whopper. Be careful going there.

We were a group of 11 plus a pup, they accommodated us in the bar area and were very welcoming. Service was terrific from Adrian and Katy who were very friendly and had wonderful customer service. My pup was even given a bowl of water. The atmosphere was lovely and was warm by the fireplace. Food came out at a good time and was also great. Well done to the chefs Alex and Andrei! Cannot fault anything from our visit

Had a disappointing Sunday Roast. The sirloin and beef combo was dry. The chicken skin was pale and looked like boiled chicken (nothing roasted about it) and the gravy was tasteless. The crockery was dirty, we sent ours back. My wine glass had someone else’s lipstick on it. The manager was sweet. The waitress was very poor, totally clueless about the menu which did not help matters.

The food was served promptly and piping hot, presented beautifully and tasted lovely. The cocktails were amazing and service (Faith) was great.

The server faith was lovely & Adrian and Alex cooked a scrumptious roast. I’m afraid i may have to be a regular, be prepared to be sick of seeing my & my daughter.(LOL) Ps: Adella (the lady in blue) thanks for squeezing my party in at short notice you were welcoming. Xox

We have been here a few times now and always enjoyed our time here. The service is excellent the food is good and the seatings comfortable. Very good value for money .. Today we were served by Adrian the manager and also Katrina(Katy?) They were helpful ,friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. I could see they were very busy and rushed off their feet yet it was still service with a smile Well done Adrian a the Team !!!

I had a lovely Sunday roast at the Arkley with friends for my birthday. The food is delicious, not just a standard roast dinner. All the elements had lovely flavour and seasoning, and the chicken was really tender. My friends had the beef and the lamb and finished their plates too. Desserts are also lovely and you can get a mini version of you are feeling too full after. There’s a lovely cosy feel with the open fire in the lounge. Our server Milly was very attentive. Can’t fault anything at all. Will definitely be back again! Highly recommend

We came here for Sunday lunch and shared the roast platter which included the trio of roasts. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. There was an ample amount of side dishes, sauces and gravy. We worked our way slowly through the food and managed to eat it all, plus we had the trio of deserts! The staff were attentive and responsive. A 5 out of 5 experience.

Adrain was wonderful in making us enjoy our lunch to the utmost: food, drinks, ambience. What an excellent service ! A very pleasant experience indeed.

Went on a Friday and it was busy. Service was therefore a bit slow and it was noisy. I had a lovely steak sandwich but it was overpowered by horseradish sauce, so much so my nostrils were burning! Had to leave the bread as a result. My mate had a very generously sized cod and chips. Desserts were a bit limited on the lunch menu, nothing hot, so had a mini cold creme brulee and cup of tea which were nice, bar I asked for sweetners but never got them. I do like the Arkley but the staff always seem stressed and rushed off their feet!

Second review added to the below as we love this pub restaurant and have been twice more! There was more atmosphere this time as there were a few more people being a Wednesday lunch and not a Monday. So all being fair, I've increased the star rating now. The service was much better too. Millie was very sweet. There was an error with the dietary requirement, which I luckily noticed and Millie got this quickly rectified. This time we had the surf & turf and the seabass. Again, the food was 5*....only wish you could do an onion loaf like Miller & Carter (since you own them and do the same tasty beef dripping). The wine selection by the glass needs to be upgraded and more choice to match the terrific food, but aside from that everything was great and Olivia was as friendly and kind as always. ----------‐---- Olivia, the manager, was lovely on the phone. She was really kind and patient helping us check our allergens with the dishes we wanted. On arrival, too, she was so sweet and caring, friendly as well. Reza, the waiter, seemed rather tired and unfocused, but as we got chatting at the end he was more smiley and attentive. He didn't check if our meals were OK until he cleared the plates and we had to chase our drinks at the beginning. We would have liked him to be more welcoming from the outset. Chefs Sorin and Adrian gave us food to die for. Quality and tasty, nicely presented. Only criticism was a couple of ingredients seemed to be left out (artichoke crisps and dates in the risotto), but it was sooooo good we didn't care this time. The gravy with the rotisserie chicken was delicious and homely. Everything was served hot. If you want high-end food in a gorgeous setting, this is your place. Gluten free and dairy free was easily accommodated as promised. We swapped chips for vegetables. Reza said there were four vegetables in the vegetables side order, but we only got broccoli and beans. Nonetheless, they were cooked perfectly and not too al dente. We asked the waiter to check again if the scallops starter could be amended for us and it was. Beautiful new decor from a few years ago and food quality has improved immensely. Not so busy as it was a late Monday lunch time, but there was still a pleasant and calm atmosphere. It was also very clean everywhere. You definitely get what you pay for here. It was my Mum's birthday and our visit to your restaurant made her day as we've had a rough few years. Thank you so much!! We visit The Arkley on a regular basis and Olivia and her lovely team always welcome us and make sure we have a great meal or a drink in the warm cosy comfortable lounge, especially on a cold day went they light the fires. Excellent Sunday roast. We will definitely return. Great customer service from the staff too, who were very helpful in helping me locate and return my jacket which was accidently picked up by another customer.

Had a meal in this restaurant last night. Upon arrival we were seated at a table for two which was near the door, as it was snowing outside I asked if there was another table available, I told there was a table but we could only have it for an hour as it was reserved which obviously was no good. The table was next to a raised fire that when we sat down was head height and throughout our meal we had smoke in our face and as it was so close you could taste the smoke while eating. To make things worse, periodically staff would come and poke the fire to keep it alight. We both had the sea bream fish which was ok, my friend had the lemon tart which she didn't enjoy and I had the apple tart which was very good. The table we were offered for a hour was never used and we know this as it was opposite us. I am giving 2 stars, one for the apple tart and one for the waitress who was very pleasant. Will I come again. No

Arranged our work lunch and what can I say : from first time of calling up to last minute changes of menus the lovely manager that I dealt with was absolutely fantastic! Thank you for all the nice touches and all your patience! We’re looking forward our Christmas party !

Friendly staff. However, incredibly slow service. Lunch took almost 3 hrs. Wanted to order more cocktails but by the time anyone came round to us, just settled with water. Sat around with empty dishes for most of the lunch. Severe lack of staff was disappointing. Spent £700+ for 12 ppl (half were children) and didn’t feel like it was worth it. Good variety of food. Ordered high end - lots of ribeye and scallops. However, very disappointing as ribeye was chewy (cooked perfectly), lacked flavour and was lukewarm. Scallops were obviously frozen so were soggy and slimy. Nice decor and ambiance. Just wish service and food were better

Went for dinner with a friend on the 21.12.24, having been here many times before, I highly recommended the establishment to my friend. Well, I was sadly disappointed on the food. It seemed under staffed for the capacity of people there, as it seemed they couldn’t handle the Christmas parties booked as well as other customers. We ordered the roast dinner for two and it came out cold, with only the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding at a lukewarm temperature. Not only that, but it was missing the pork from the trio of the meats and the beef was as tough as old boots. We ate some of it from hunger and waited to speak to a member of staff, but couldn’t get hold of their attention seen as they were rushed off their feet. When heading to the bar, after waiting with the plates of food for 30 minutes, we waited for another 15 minutes to speak to someone even though staff were behind the bar and not making any acknowledgment of customers(us) near the till. We explained we complained about the food to a member of staff who wanted to clear the table and only done half his job, so there was no point ordering another drink. When we finally got to speak to the manager, he explained he couldn’t do anything except 20% off the bill, which is ridiculous, as we hardly ate the food and only got given part of the food we ordered. It’s insulting to say the least.

I only came into the pub to meet a friend and had a drink. I didnt realise I had to log my car registration and I received a parking fine. I spoke to Olivia the Manager who was so helpful in dealing with the situation with no fyss. She took over completely and the fine was recinded. I cant thank her enough.

Our favourite pub! The food is delicious, the pub itself is very warm, beautiful with interesting design features. Warm and welcoming service from all the members of staff. We keep coming back and bringing friends and family.

Olivia and Katie welcomed me, as usual, so warmly. Only here for a drink with friends from our local hospital but have eaten here in the past. They make me feel like a local. 😀

I went in to the pub carpark out of opening hours to see if there was a menu on display to see what food is served but never got the time to return and was issued a parking fine through the post when I challenged it I was told that as I was in the carpark out of hours the fine could not be contested

The pub was understaffed which meant that we waited 30 minutes to order. A bit annoying especially when I saw one of the waiters standing there talking to what looked like one of his friends… Food was okay. It came out on the colder side. The plus was definitely desert which satisfied all my sticky toffee pudding cravings.
