We dine every week at The Arkley. Worthy of high praise was our delicious lunch today (21 November) served by the friendly, delightful and efficient Olivia and Rayinder and prepared by the talented chef Tudor. Updated again on 16 September 2023. We were welcomed by the professional, very friendly and highly efficient triumvirate of Mahmut, Adrian and Olivia, where we enjoyed a first class lunch. We are astonished by the negative review of Adrian who is welcoming, helpful and highly professional with all his customers, without exception, in our experience.Updated 9 May 2023. We have just had yet another superb lunch served by the affable and extremely efficient General Manager, Mahmut. There is no longer a need for us to travel to the West End of London when outstanding cuisine and service is available locally. Delicious food and friendly and efficient customer service from the managers Adrian and Olivia and their helpful staff, all in a tranquil environment. In our opinion undoubtedly the best Pub in the vicinity and also within a much wider radius. Highly recommended by our family.

Visited this place recently for a baby shower. Really nice atmosphere and food was good. Staff are really helpful and polite will visit again when in area.

Disappointing as the grill wasn't working, so no burgers or steaks were available. Had we know before would have cancelled and rebooked.

We had a good experience here at the Arkley, food was great 👍 staff were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed a nice cold beer with my meal.

Popped in for a quick pint and had a lovely conversation with the deputy manager. Lovely atmosphere and I was was made feel welcome. Good prices. Will be back with my family to dine in.

Very nice atmosphere. Loved the sharing dessert platter. The waiters are helpful and very nice too. Loved it, will definitely come to chill there again.

The food was delicious Service was a little slow, but I still go back

My father and I visited for some Friday beers and dinner and unfortunately it wasn't the meal we'd hoped for. I won't go into detail but we ordered two meals and they both came incorrectly. Disappointing to say the least. The staff were friendly enough and did everything they could to rectify it and I appreciate their efforts.

We chose from the new wine & dine menu all the courses were delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly as always we really enjoyed our visit.

Well done higher-end pub grub. Great service and ambience. Clean and accessible baby changing facilities (and high chairs). First time here and already thinking about when we can come back. Very nicely done bangers and mash, and well executed duo of beef roast (wife loved it). Sea bass received compliments from friend too. Billionaire fries were meant for baby (she ended up sleeping through) which meant we got to enjoy it - very more-ish!

I went to the Arkeley last week with my family, and we had a great time, largely thanks to our server, Georgia. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and always checking if there was anything more she could do to help us. The food was great, with lots of vegan and vegetarian options. I will definitely be coming back!

I took my mother here for lunch, after a hospital visit for her to cheer her up and we had a really wonderful 3-course lunch. We have been a couple of times before and this is our favourite pub for lunch when over that way, as we live in south London. As ever, the food and service were superb. Our waitress Georgia was so friendly, kind and attentive. She was a real credit to the pub and even went above and beyond in opening the disabled toilet for my mother when we asked for the key, a very kind & thoughtful action from her. The manager Olivia we remembered from previous visits and again, as always, she was so friendly and thoughtful in how she helped us. Really friendly and relaxed, which we loved. As ever, the food was superb. We have never have a bad course, let alone meal since we started coming a couple of years back. The scallops were delicious and the lamp rump superb. The sticky toffee pudding was perfect to finish. There is also a great wine list, which went well with our food. Thanks to Alex & Adrian in the kitchen for the great work on the food. It was lovely to be informed of who our service and cooking team were, so that I can personally thank them here. Also helped us leave a tip worthy of all the team as I sometimes feel as a customer everywhere that the kitchen staff get missed out of personal positive feedback. Gave a real personal touch to our lunch which we very much appreciated. It is very clear there is a brilliant team here, who enjoy working together. This shows in the great pub they are running together. Great venue, great food & drink and superb service. Cannot recommend this pub enough. A wonderful venue for a private party. Food was served hot and was delicious. Staff were extremely friendly and helped whenever asked. Parking was great too. Our guests were very complimentary.

Great service from Georgia friendly and pleasant

Went in two days in a row, hospitality, food, atmosphere is just brilliant alongside services and the staff are amazing especially Jake who went above and beyond to ensure we was well looked after and was very intentive alongside the duty manager Olivia - would definitely be going more often and recommended this amazing gastro pub to anyone looking for a lovely meal/drink!

I visited Arkley Barnet a couple of days ago. MILAD took care of me very well. Scallops, the Rebye Steak and sticky toffee pudding are my favourites in Arkley. Keep up the good work 👏 🙌

I was here a few days ago, everything, food, drinks and customer service was excellent, the communication and behavior of one of the staff named Reza was very friendly, I will come there again.

I recently visited Arkley in Barnet with my family and had the pleasure of dining at a charming country club. Adrian, the manager, provided excellent service and was attentive to our needs. We indulged in a delightful feast of Spit-Roasted Chicken, burgers, and gammon. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere at the country club was also fantastic, creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for everyone. Overall, it was a memorable culinary experience in Arkley, Barnet. #doctorfoodielondon

Me and my friends came here after we had spent the day at the studio tour. We were greeted and sat very quickly. Our server was Jayke and he was a pleasure from start to finish. He even stopped to have conversation with us even though there was only the two staff members on shift. Jayke is a real credit to the team and was very patient with us and allowed us the time we needed to choose the food and puddings. Thank you so much to everyone the food was gorgeous. The diablo pizza was delicious and my partner enjoyed their salad. I will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely roast dinner here - this is a nice gastro pub/restaurant to have a Sunday lunch at. The portions for the roast dinners are huge - we have been a couple of times and never have starters or desserts if we're having the roast because it's plenty filling enough on its own. I would say that the one roast which is a bit disappointing is the chicken - on a previous occasion I opted for just the roast chicken and found some parts of the meat were rather dry. On this occasion my husband chose the trio of roasts and found the pork and beef lovely, but again the chicken part of the roast was very dry. The rest of the roast was excellent - this time I had the pork belly and was very impressed, well flavoured, melt in the mouth with a good ratio of fat to meat. The sides (potatoes, vegetables, Yorkshire, gravy) were all excellent and very tasty. You can ask for more gravy for free with the roast. The only other slightly disappointing part was the stuffing. Some of the roasts (the pork and the trio) come with "stuffing wrapped in bacon" - the stuffing is a tiny ball of packet stuffing with a little bit of bacon around it and quite dry - not terrible, but not a particularly worthwhile addition to the meal as it stands. There is a good drink selection, and plenty of non alcoholic options including some nice mocktails. The Arkley is easily walkable from chipping Barnet - approximately 20 minutes from the high street, although they do also have a car park and you can hop on a bus from Barnet. Very easily accessible to get to, and seems accessible when inside too.

Enjoyed the set lunch menu on a friday. Kids had colouring activities to keep them busy. Lovely decor and friendly staff. Clean toilets and baby change.

I came here with a few friends for a drink after work. Olivia served us and was making us cocktails which were absolutely delicious! Olivia was very friendly and a tentative and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back again. She is a credit to this place and we will be back because of her.

The restaurant was nice and cosy, staffs were great, helpful and friendly. Food was normal, I had a burger with was well done and normal. The starter (cheese) and ketchup beside it, was really delicious.

Rajinder makes the best coffee in North London. The coconut macaroons compliments it perfectly. The beer is very good also. Arkley's best pub.

Good food great service Would just like to say , over 2 years of using this pub and have always been met with a warm welcome ( from Adrian ) and staff. Food is still very good with some great mid week deals to look out for

The Meet & Greet was good to welcome us and show us to our table..the food was OK, my chunky chips was almost burnt and texture was hard. There were ants crawling on the table, spider webs on the ceiling above our table, next to the window. After I had complained about the poor hygiene. We did get a 20% discount off our bill. Service wasn't too great from the Male waiter..he was not apologetic or took the constructive criticism about the cleanliness and general hygiene of our seating area.

Husband and I haven't been here for about 10 years! Had a hospital appointment so we thought we'd go here for lunch. Wow amazing food credit to the chef. Little bit more expensive than we would usually pay for lunch but definitely worth every penny Will be making the ARKLEY our new place to eat. AMAZING.

Hi There. Arkley is one of best pubs around North London. Generally we visit this pub every other month. As always , we had warm welcome. Team member named - Rajinder was very polite and had all right etiquette which is rare to see nowadays in other pubs. Food was very nice & appetising. Ordered Nourish bowl along with cocktail, throughly enjoyed time spent with my friends at this pub. Keep up the good work.
