Food was delicious but very small portions. You end feeling you need more

I don't think that a Venezuelan has a better salary than an Italian, to compare between restaurants! And I refer to the prices that said restaurant charges and the portions supplied to the consumer, I find the presentation and quantity of each dish deplorable for what they demand as applicants in the Latin food sector 👎

Great food, nice atmosphere and fantastic service, all for a reasonable price of less than 25 pounds per person. My friend got a free birthday cake and we had a great dinner!

Excellent brunch and cocktails! Loved the Venezuelan twist on breakfast with plantain and refried beans. It was all delicious and pretty healthy, just wish the chicken was hot! Great gluten-free options too for my friend. Will be returning!

Ordered pabellon veggie and cachapa Campo on deliveroo and was let disappointed. The food wasn't flavourful and didn't seem fresh. The pabellon veggie bowl could've used some greens as well. After going through reviews here, it seems like their deliveries have complaints.

Yuca fries are very nice and so is the lemonade! It’s cold and dark inside though, and the flavours in the arepas are not so interesting. Also service is quite slow (from the three times I’ve been) - not a place for a quick lunch!

I was invited by my sister who had already gone but the one was located somewhere else. I thought the food was good but not out of this world. The cachapas seemed a little bigger to me but they were acceptable.

The food is ok, but nothing amazing, lot of better venezuelan restaurants in London, specially for that price, bit pricy for the portions, and the dishes are not very accurate to the real one, like the cachapa has so much unecesary stuff in it and dont look at all like in their photos.

The staff was very helpful and the service was very fast, the environment very clean and good Latin music. We ate arepas, tostones, fried yucca, cachapa and tequeños. The tostones were not fresh, and the tequeños were raw inside, they were also made with a puff pastry dough which made the tequeño feel different, however the tequeño with chocolate was delicious and so were the arepas, the cachapa looked like a pancake.

I admit, we visited initially more from necessity than choice. Other places around were still closed, not serving dinner yet, or were take-away only. However, we were so glad we came! We were greeted with a smile and the service remained friendly and helpful throughout. Everyone enjoyed their meal, my son especially, he finished everyone’s leftovers. Lemonade was so good! Definitely recommend!

The food was fantastic, the staff were great. The place deserves to be more popular, with more customers it would have a nice buzz about it.

Like all places in London for gastronomy, they don't know about food. The arepas were good, correct, but the tequeños didn't have good cheese, nor was it melted and the outside was puff pastry and not breadcrumbs. Plus €20 per person. At least they gave us dinner when they had already closed, very nice.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Arepa and Co with few friends. We didn’t have a booking but they allocate us nicely for 6 people. The food at Arepa and Co is simply delicious. I tried several dishes, and each one was a flavorful journey into Venezuelan cuisine. The arepas were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy inside. They offer a variety of fillings, and I particularly enjoyed the Pabellón — a traditional mix of shredded beef, black beans, plantains, and cheese. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, making each dish a true delight. The staff at Arepa and Co were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations (all homemade) Their genuine enthusiasm for the food and culture made the meal even more enjoyable. In summary, Arepa and Co is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Venezuelan cuisine in a welcoming environment. The delicious food and the wonderful staff make it a place worth visiting again and again. Highly recommended! Finally price wise: very good price/quality ratio.

Such good food! Came quickly and all tasty. Only gripe is service was a bit too quick and we were asked if we were done with our food whilst we were still eating which i didn’t like (wasn’t that busy so was a bit strange!)

£23 + tip for this absolute slop. Fried chicken was bone dry, micro pasties were filled with mush, sauces had no discernable flavour, and the passion fruit juice was weak and bland, like everything else. Wouldn't have been so bad if the prices were even halfway reasonable, but as demanded, I feel absolutely robbed. Avoid.

My recent dining experience at this Venezuelan gem was nothing short of exceptional! We started our meal sharing the tequeños: perfectly crispy on the outside and deliciously cheesy on the inside. For the main course we ordered arepa pabellón: a traditional dish that included shredded beef, black beans, ripe plantains, and grated cheddar cheese. Each bite was a harmonious blend of savory and sweet, a true testament to Venezuelan culinary artistry. We also had the arepa Mariana, which featured a creamy mix of chicken, mayo, avocado, cheddar, and plantains. This arepa was rich and satisfying, with the avocado adding a fresh, buttery touch that balanced the dish beautifully. To end our meal on a sweet note, we chose the "tres leches" for dessert. The soft sponge cake soaked in three types of milk was fluffy and indulgent topped with meringue, a Venezuelan classic that did not disappoint. In addition to the delicious food, the portions were just right, leaving us perfectly satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. The restaurant's decor and ambiance were equally impressive, radiating Venezuelan charm and creating a cozy yet lively dining environment. Overall, this restaurant offers a fantastic culinary journey through Venezuela with dishes that are both authentic and innovative. I hope you aren't serious about charging £10 for a small arepa in a bowl without any side. This is not the Areas & co experience we have had in Haggerston.

Food is really good but pricey. They dont do the arepa tuesdays anymore. £10 for a wrap is quite extortionate !

The food was nice and tasty but very small portion. The service was bad, I mean, we were thinking to get loads of cocktails and I just had one because I couldn’t be bothered to try to get the waitress attention. The starter came after the main course. It is a shame really as I was looking forward for that kind of South American experience. We decided to go else where after diner and still hungry! Not good is it?

We had an amazing brunch here. We visited Saturday around 2pm and it was not very busy so probably no need to book in advance. I had one of the brunch bowls with a cachapa (my first cachapa and I am now obsessed). My partner had the chicken stuffed arepa but this was much smaller than we expected so not really a main. We also tried the yuca balls with whipped feta and sugar cane which were incredible and the fried plantain with pulled pork, also very nice. The food is great, I just wish (brunch bowl being the exception) that the portions were a bit bigger. I couldn’t help noticing this restaurant seemed a bit emptier than some of its neighbours and that may be because they are seen to offer better value for money.

We had the set menu and it was really good for trying a little bit of everything. It really filled us up. Dog friendly which is a bonus

Stumbled across this place today. Food is very tasty we tried a selection of appetisers and a main. Drinks are great too and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Definitely recommend. Only drawback is some of the prices ie £5 for a very small salad and £10 for a small but tasty fried chicken appetiser. Main courses a very reasonably priced. paprika yuka chips are amazing.

The food taste good but the portion size is absolutely ridiculous. I mean we had to go and eat after our meal. Also the table beside us said the same thing that their portions were very small. Shame as this could have been a local go to but not with the price you pay for a tiny meal.

I ordered 2 arepas and 2 beef bowls. Both were extremely small, barely had ANY beef (below), no rice in bowls, very stingy with the beef, and also opened up one of my arepas to find a small slice of plastic. Not sure what it came off of, but that is a SERIOUS hazard that nobody should take lightly. When I called, the person who was handling my complaint was very dismissive and said she’d talk to the kitchen, with no ‘sorry’. The portion sizes are TERRIBLE and not a good value for money at all. £50 for half a meal is not applauded. I was expecting the arepas to give me some hope that I didn’t waste my money, but they only made this cause worse. Not only did the plastic disappoint me, but the lack of beef in everything was very bad. I am sincerely asking for a refund, as I think that portions and customer service is very bad here.If you have a shortage of food, CLOSE THE RESTAURANT. Person who answered my call gave no apology and said she’d talk to the kitchen. This place is hazardous. No value for money. Avoid if possible.

Our family experience was 10 out of 10. I’ve read few bad reviews and I can definitely recommend this place every time we visit… Thank you so much to the whole team, very profesional kitchen staff (a girl and a boy) the floor staff was amazing. We will be come back very soon

Had the vegan breakfast. Avocado wasn't that great as there was too much lime going on. Beans and arepa were delicious. Dog friendly and they have a dog menu though!

All the food was delicious, but the Cachapa was amazing! The service was friendly, the restaurant atmosphere was great, but the lamp were dimming randomly. Probably something they will fix soon. Would definitely return.

Basically, I gave them a few times to improve,but they don't want to improve...they just wanna sell and don't want someone to come back again, bad business! I have ordered 2 times through Ubereats, and both times terrible, not ordering any more! Food cooked without love...cold, doesn't feel fresh...very small portion! I live 5 min walk from that place and they brought cold food ,plus in Arepa I hardly could find any beef. Very poorly made. I don't see this place surviving until summer! Updated review: So, I have decided to order once again, to see if something has changed. Honestly, I would compare this place with another fast food place ,, Tortilla ". It's not a restaurant quality food, I don't get why they charge so much for this quality of food. And they overcooked, look at these dumplings I have received, it cracked, meat came off...the meat on the outside was cold....I mean c'mon guys.... I am done with this place. Very plain flavours,cheap ingredients... No idea why it isn't cheap. Anyway, I am out!

Really good, tasty food. Very small portions with the £11 lunch menu. It comes however with a delicious home made lemonade. I ordered two lunch menus for my not too big appetite. The service was friendly and slow. Changing the lunch menu drink for another drink like a coffee is not possible. My bill came with a discretionary 15% tip. I ended up paying £25 for a lunch menu. It was good. I’ll I return? Probably not.

We visited the stockwell branch for dinner today and I would say everything was 10/10. We were slightly late for our reservation but Carlos managed to accommodate to our needs and once we got there, the service was outstanding, food came quick, everything was delicious and there was nice music too!

There are many better options in the area. Looks nice and that's about it. Bad value for your money. Arepa with beef had maybe 20g of beef in it. Fried chicken was overcooked,dark brown, burnt... 20 pounds for very little food drinks look good, place looks good but that's not what restaurants should focus on

The food is absolutely amazing and I would definitely go back and try the dishes I didn't get this time. The staff are incredibly friendly and I never felt uncomfortable or like a nuisance. The restaurant decor is done well and the lighting really makes it. Nothing less than 5 stars.

Absolutely delicious! The pork cachapa, beef pastelitos and the vegan arepa were really tasty and fresh. The tres leches cake was also to die for. And everyone was really nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely FABULOUS! Loved every single thing about it. Food was incredible, service was amazing, the staff are all so lovely and welcoming. We had the tequeños (TEN OUT OF TEN OMG), yuca fries (gorgeous…and the SAUCE WOW), tajadas, fried chicken arepa (also delicious) but the STAR OF THE SHOW was the cachapas. My goodness. My son demolished them, we had the cheese one and the pabellón and they were both absolutely incredible. My friend had the veggie pabellón bowl and loved it. We also had passion fruit juice and then got cappuccinos and the chocolate tequeños for dessert although I could only manage a bite as I was stuffed. This place is an absolute 10 out of 10 which is a very rare score from me. Will be back to try more!! Mil gracias a las chicas que nos sirvieron, super amables. Nos vemos pronto!

The food was amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly. I would definitely recommend anyone to try it. If you're unsure about what to eat, try the beef cachapa or arepa and some yuca fries. They were delicious!

Took some friends to eat at Arepa & Co in Stockwell and as usual it didn’t disappoint. Mayra and Josue made sure our food was amazing and the service was great. The whole staff made sure we had all we needed and that our experience was the best. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends and family enjoying the best food!

The food was good, the staff seemed a bit overworked and the way to order was via a phone. The phone app worked quite poorly and it seemed to fluster the staff. I think whoever is in charge of this chain needs to have a slight business rethink.

Strange. Empty restaurant with messy tables and told we'd get a table soon. Waited but after 15 minutes wouldn't give us a table. So we left - maybe foods good but management crazy!

We've pretty much tried every Arepa in the house and they are all delicious. Every Tuesday there's a £5 special for any Arepa so it's a perfect excuse to give it a try.

I went there for first time last Saturday, and the food was amazing, I am Colombian and the Latin food is my favourite. trying food is one of my favourite things to do in London. The atmosphere was very good and the manager which was Colombian was very nice to us.
