Very nice place to book a holiday, conveniently located for tourists who wish to explore London.

Spacious room for a family where everyone can have their own space, too bad the place is not maintained at all (dirty walls, peeling complaints, outgoing electrical wires...). Kitchenette just the minimum, no hotplates or table. Daily cleaning consisting of changing towels and making beds. Room not at all soundproofed (we wait for the toilet to flush). Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Super well located close to the metro and appreciable private parking

We booked the studio loft for 4 people. It was a clean room, comes with microwave and kettle ans telvision. There is daily room service too. 24 hour friendly reception and location is good (10min walk to underground station and many supermarkets nearby). Only downside is that parking your vehicle here costs £20 a day, which I believed was not advertised on the website. We ended up having to park our vehicle at the street opposite which has to be paid extra too.

The location is good, near the station. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was not pleasant in all honesty. Unfortunately didn't take many photos of the room but air con was broken, floors worn, carpets black and stained, dirty cups and crockery, fridge was really smelly, shower head broken. Would not recommend unless rooms got some investment.

The room was a little tired, but it was clean and everything worked as it should. You get a fridge and kettle with some tea and coffee. The bathroom is large and the shower is a decent size. Nice guy on the desk who tried to help us sort parking when the hotel carpark was full. It has parking for roughly 10 cars but it's pretty tight. Most people don't drive into London anyway so usually space. Archway tavern and Crudough are great local spots.

Below average rooms with strong lemon/disinfectant smell in the room. Returned to the hotel the next day as had left my charger in the room. Hotel staff claimed no evidence of this, not enough time for new guests to have checked in so housekeeping must have taken it! Not only that when I was enquiring into reception they accused me of ‘being bad’ in the room and smoking weed! (Entirely untrue accusation and had likely been from random people dwelling outside around the back of the hotel as I had also noticed the strong smell) Could not believe the cheek of being accused of this as a very respectable guest

Unfortunately, our stay in the hotel, which looked beautiful from the outside, was a downside right from the start. Unfortunately, the check-in process was a little top-down and unfriendly. This is where we started to feel uneasy. The member of staff responsible here did not see us for the next few days, so it should be mentioned that this did not apply to everyone. After this initial disgrace, we found that the entrance area looked quite good and satisfactory and looked forward to our rooms. After opening the door, it was immediately clear that we had rejoiced too soon. It would be better to sleep in the entrance area than in the rooms. Here's why (where to start) and I think the pictures speak for themselves: The first thing we noticed was the torn skirting board and the swollen floor. Apparently the floor was mopped too wet. Immediately afterwards, we entered the downstairs bedroom with a sofa facing completely backwards - we still didn't know how to do this. It was certainly not inviting to sit on. We covered it up with our suitcases as we didn't want to put anything in the dilapidated cupboards anyway. Shortly afterwards, we noticed that the bed also had a large hollow in the middle, again we didn't know why. In addition, the front of the bed, as well as the cover of a pillow, had brown/red stains. Our fear was that it was blood. The pillows were also no longer in the best condition. (all documented in the pictures). Afterwards, we noticed that the air conditioning units had been badly affected and were very dirty. Cleaning would not be a bad idea here. There was also a very thick layer of dust in the small kitchen (especially on the microwave), which is why we didn't want to touch it. Here, too, a simple wipe down would not be amiss. We then went to the beds on the upper floor of the 4 maisonette apartment. Unfortunately, there was a carpet with lots of stains and tears. This should be replaced urgently. There is also a desk here, which is not inviting to sit at but is more suitable for bulky waste. The drawers were also filled with used handkerchiefs. The chair and the lamp next to it are also more suitable for bulky waste than for a hotel room. In addition, there were stains all over the walls and ceilings. A new coat of paint wouldn't go amiss. When we were upstairs, we thought we understood why the bed and sofa downstairs had these extreme indentations. People seem to have jumped down from above (of course this is just speculation). This should be stopped or the sofa and mattress should be replaced. Another point was in the bathroom. Here the water in the shower did not drain properly, which is why you flood the bathroom unintentionally or can only shower for a maximum of 2 minutes. Not a good feeling during the stay. These were the major problems so far. We will not be coming back!

I went in April 2024. The price is good, the neighborhood is very quiet and has many restaurants and supermarkets next door, it is a short walk from the Emirates Stadium. Thanks to the nearby Archway metro station, you get to the center "in no time at all." What I didn't like at all is that in the room you could sweat perfectly because the room was hot (obviously it was cold outside).

Initial caveat: This review will be old, it's been over a year since I stayed here, but I am looking for hotels in London again, and was reminded of this experience. I really don't enjoy writing negative reviews, and hope things have changed! I travel through London a few times a year, and sometimes stay overnight. A while ago, I decided to stay around the Highgate area for a day or two. Looking around Booking.com I found a cheap listing for a 4 star hotel, so booked. Although it was cheap, I was not too shocked, as I travel semi-frequently (~once a month) and sometimes get cheap offers (especially when you've built up points!). On the day, I arrived at the hotel, around 7:30-8pm-ish (later than first check-in but nothing unreasonable) . I get in, show the receptionist the booking, who then starts having a go at me that I didn't tell him a time of arrival. I say I'm sorry, thought I had on booking.com but clearly it hadn't gone through. He continues to get even more aggressive saying "I called you a bunch of times and you never picked up, why didn't you pick up, we can't just wait around" etc. I check my phone, and I have absolutely no missed calls (Note: My number on booking.com is *correct*), but I really don't want to have an argument, I'd like to just get to my room and drop off my bags, so I say again "Look, I'm sorry. We've travelled into the UK today so maybe it just didn't go through, sorry again." but he continues this verbal rant (It felt more like he had a problem with someone and was just taking it out on me, which isn't great). After another minute or two, he settles down, and I finally get my room key. I get into the room, and honestly it's a bit shabby. Don't get me wrong, it a room, the bed is clean, the toilet flushes and doesn't leak. But one of the lights doesn't work, the bathroom tap is not great, there are scratch marks over the floors, walls are also marked up. Once again, it FUNCTIONS, and for London prices yes the price I paid is not entirely unreasonable, it's just not the 4 star rating it claims itself as. The location itself is really useful, easy to get onto the tube, and the surrounding cafes and shops are great. At the end of the day, it's a functioning room. Just don't expect it to be 4 star, and with that don't expect particularly nice customer service.

As a regular overnight visitor to London on business I was really pleased to find this hotel due to its good location and reasonable charges. Unfortunately my experience was spoilt by the fact that the rooms internal heating was not working so the place was absolutely freezing (November). The staff did their best to help and provided me with portable heating but it took a long time to warm up and still meant that I had to cross an Icy space to get from my bedroom to the bathroom every time I needed to facilities.

A truly terrible hotel! It does the trick for 2 nights, but if you have the choice, go your way! Mold, no curtains, no ventilation, no cleaning (asthmatic, flee!), poor quality beds, broken reversible air conditioning, heat and a smell to die for, dirty and stained carpets, dust everywhere... A bathroom full of mold with the siphon blocked, at the end of the first shower the tank is full and threatens to overflow. And the little extra!!! The hotel staff who gives a key to our room to a man we don't know, who tries several times to open our room at 8am. My friend ended up unlocking the door to tell the person to leave but no one was there... 10 minutes later, a man burst into the room as we were going back to sleep!! Completely crazy! The receptionists hardly apologized, as if it was normal 🤣 Really, you can find better!

Reception desk was rude and we was told we need to pay £20 for parking at the actual hotels car park which was next to the room which wasn’t advertised anywhere on there booking page and was also pushed to pay this in cash. Our first room had a really strong smell which we realised was the bathroom as the entire ceiling was full of mould, we asked to move rooms which we was moved to another room which also had a strong smell but at that point it was too late to move hotels.

A very nice and quietly located hotel. There was always someone at the reception. Check in and check out hassle free. The car could be parked there safely (costs extra). There was always a parking space available. We had a 4 person room. 2 beds about 1.40xm wide with a duvet to share, mattress and pillows were great for sleeping. Kitchenette with microwave, kettle, toaster and refrigerator (which unfortunately barely cooled, even though it was set to the highest setting). Space on the kitchenette is very limited and unfortunately there is no opportunity to sit down while having breakfast. There was an armchair in our room. Bathroom was sufficient and enough towels were available. Rooms very quiet, you hardly heard any outside noise, but still centrally located at a tube station (3 minutes away) or bus stop (2 minutes away). About 30 minutes by tube to the city or, exciting for the children, by bus in about 45 minutes. Numerous supermarkets (Sainsbury, Tesco and Aldi) around the corner for shopping. All in all: very cheap overnight stay for London, nice, close and safe area to walk back in the evening, room okay, had a quiet stay and was able to sleep well there

We were in a duplex, bathroom, kitchen, children's bed and luggage storage on the ground floor (all made of flooring) and a King size bed, 4-section wardrobe, dressing room mirror and sofa (carpeted) on the upper floor. It is the old parish accommodation so it is next to a church and a nursery. The staff, almost all Hindu, were very friendly. I find it quite unbelievable that, after claiming to be a vegetarian restaurant for years, they’re still selling non-vegetarian Parmesan on their menu - they even mention this on the website (calf rennet is made from dead calves). The Vegetarian Society contacted them about this in 2014, but they don’t appear to have taken it on board. There are so many vegetarian cheeses these days (I don’t mean vegan cheese, I mean dairy cheese made without animal rennet), it’s a shame they couldn’t accept this feedback. I wonder how many unsuspecting people have eaten here believing their food to be vegetarian, when it isn’t.
