Been coming here for ages and they never dissapoint. Fast service, the staff are lovely and the food is out of this world.

Possible the best cafe I have been to.

7 of us were out on a bike ride and stopped for a coffee. The Apollo is situated on a pedestrian only street so we sat outside in the sunshine with a tasty cuppa. Throughly enjoyable and the staff were friendly, providing an excellent service.

A bit run down, but food is great

The food was excellent, a really good breakfast fry-up and Halloumi salad. Staff very kind and helpful 🙂

First time I've ever been here and I've lived in Waltham abbey for 25 years. Ordered over the phone for collection (Apollo special) asked to change the toast to fried slice. No issues whatsoever. Really polite staff, fast service and great value for money compared to everywhere else that seems to just be ripping people off. Great quality sausages and bacon. And packed really well. Will definitely be back. GREAT CAFE. Also they accept card payment which to me is a good plus.

The "OMG" breakfast is absolutely amazing, I drive 45 minutes for it and enjoy every bit every time!

Delicious food at relatively cheap prices, Apollo Café is well worth a visit. The staff are friendly and the service was very quick. Traditional English cafe food is available along with some Turkish additions to add another dimension of flavour.

I am new to the area and wanted to have a coffee here after taking my dog for a walk through Abbey Gardens. There were two ladies seated outside with a dog so I entered the cafe to order. As soon as I entered a man behind a counter shouted loudly Dogs are Not Allowed inside with no help to order. I wasn't planning on staying indoors and would have been happy to order and sit outside but he was so rude I had to just leave. I just can't comprehend how a business owner can be like that. I wasn't going to leave my dog unattended outside to be stolen. Just super rude and unwelcoming

Perfectly cooked delicious food!! especially the 1/4 quarter pounder with cheese no onion and chips!! Best burger in the Uk 🇬🇧 they need a (award 🏆) for amazing food polite respectful welcoming staff the ladies behind the counter and delivery man Roger. (Mother &baby 👩‍🍼 friendly)so helpful brought my food to me. If you’re pregnant 🤰🏾 be assured that the food hear is Perfectly safe and well cooked fresh salad delicious food. Went in as I have done hundreds of times over the last thirty odd years, asked for roast beef please, as I usually do, and was told we no longer serve roast dinners! Customer lost! How is that good for business?

I have been going to this cafe on the occasional Sunday morning for years and have never been let down. Waltham Abbey still has a village mentality. The saying goes "Waltham Abbey people are born there, grow up there, marry there and die there" This community effect is easily observed in the cafe. People across the generations going there clearly know each other but still welcome newcomers so you immediately feel part of the crowd. It is currently run by a Turkish family and they have maintained the high standards of previous owners. The food is freshly cooked using good quality ingredients served in big portions for the price. The menu has a wide range of meal types including vegetarian and vegan Today I went there with my daughter and two grandchildren to put it to the test and it passed with flying colours. They kids ate until they were full and enjoyed everything on their plates. A very rare event. To support my community comment as we were finishing 10 teenagers from the local football team arrived in their kit and the staff moved the tables so that they could sit on one long table together. The others in the cafe not only didnt complain but openly approved of their footie representatives being afforded respect by the cafe staff. They now do online ordering which means you can pay by card. A really positive step which cancels out my one historic gripe of having to get cash out before going there. Keep up the good work.

I liked it, made me a tasty sandwich or two. Bread is good, perfect for an egg, I forgot to ask them to season it, but they are professional they Knew. If you want a fried egg sarnie, and who doesn't, this is top notch!!

The worst breakfast I have ever had! Egg was rock solid, 2 over cooked and dry sausages, bacon was salty and like cardboard! Ordered an orange juice which was freshly squeezed but with old oranges with barely any flavour and was charged £3.20! Clearly every element of there menu is of very low quality and cheap to buy but they charge stupidly high prices!! Will never be going back here again

By far the best cafe in the Waltham Abbey. Portion size is more than you would expect and they have a menu that will meet anybodies appetite, as for cost it is very good value for money and to put this into perspective the last time we went we paid under £30 for two adult full breakfasts, two children's breakfast and five drinks

No toilet kid-u-not No🚽🚽🚽 Most cafes do omelette chips n salad. Apollo no chips. All cafes do set breakfasts with tea/coffee n toast, no tea/coffee with Apollo. Sausage dark brown n dry, hash browns too dark. One of my pieces of toast was the knob of the bread - all for the price of £6.00 + my cappuccino £2.30 = £8.30 for my breakfast then I had to find a toilet.... how wonderful!!!! There's never been a loo but the cafe and the FOOD was much much better under previous owners

Cheap everything, eg. 30p a loaf own brand bread for toast that sticks in your throat like wet cardboard.

Food is always wonderfully prepared, the staff are warm & polite, without being intrusive. A great local cafe.

Cheap and cheerful; easy, ramped, wheelchair access; welcomes children and toddlers, so can be a little noisy on occasion; good range of café style, non-greasy food; good seating inside and out, on the sunny side of Sun Street; nearest toilet in the Museum, opposite.

Visited Apollo again as I am never disappointed with the food that I am served with. Good old fry up with a cup of tea or coffee that is priced well, what more can you ask for. Service is always good. You won't be disappointed.

Not great and more expensive then the other cafes down the Abbey, on a side note a panini is not a squashed baguet so if you like paninis don't go here for one because they don't do them.

I have been coming a good 15 years and its a great cafe, very welcoming staff with always a good size portion of quality home cooked food.

Enjoy a full English breakfast made by people who obviously like food. Great value and delicious tasting. Never had a bad meal but I have had too much food on my plate and I can't eat it all. I go when I'm hungry but still can't finish everything.

The food is always fresh and well cooked, lots on the menu with home cooked meals like liver and bacon as well as the usual breakfast and burger and chips. Can get noisy at busy times.

Proper homenade chicken and mushroom pie lovely.

Tea and bacon sarni just the job.

Had to wait ages for an ice cream. People kept jumping the queue but the server paid no attention. Ended up leaving without the ice cream in the end.

I am a regular here and can't say enough about how friendly the staff are, how clean the place is and how varied the menu is. You can get anything from breakfast to dinners and over the time I've been frequenting the cafe I have had them all. And not a bad meal in sight. Good prices and decent sized meals.

Good quality food at a very reasonable price. Staff are always polite and friendly. Even when they are very busy you never have to wait very long for your meal. They cater for everyone, the very young or very old are all welcome and they are happy to move tables to accommodate larger family groups. They have a set menu, but they are very flexible and you can order whatever you want. Wheelchairs have easy access. Eat in or take away.

We come here most Sundays for lunch with my family. Always have a good inexpensive meal. Always packed. Nice food, friendly staff and great value for money.

Simply found this place whilst waiting for a job. Read the reviews, saw some positive feedback, thought I would give it a try. Staff are friendly, food was great and got served fast! Would come here again :)

Treat myself to a Full English Breakfast here at least once a month. Lovely family run business and wholesome cooked food. Never had a problem. Great range of dishes on the menu.
