Antico Caffe in Wiltshire

Wanted to try my first order but was not happy with my takeaway ordered on just eat. not recommended

Lovely, comfortable seating, and very clean. I had really good pizza. Nice people and great service.

We ordered takeaway pizza. Six pizzas of really excellent quality delivered piping hot on time. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed them with my daughter stating that it was far better than one she’d had actually in Rome. Can’t recommend highly enough.

If you're in Melksham and craving pizza, this place is absolutely the best! The pizza is always crispy, tasty, and cooked to perfection. And the best part? It's a lot cheaper than any other spot we've found, which is a huge win for our big family – pizza night just got way more affordable! We used to get our pizza from Alba, but since they changed management, it's been a disaster. The pizza would come undercooked, cold, and just not as good as it used to be. We stumbled upon our new favorite spot when we went there for coffee and cake one day and decided to try their pizza at lunchtime. It was amazing! When we saw they were on JustEat, we made the switch, and now it's our go-to place for pizza. Highly recommended for anyone in Melksham who loves a good, reasonably priced pizza!

PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA!!!! Up until now Antico Caffe has not offered pizza on his menu as there was, until recently, another Pizzeria nearby serving delicious, authentic Italian pizza. Unfortunately, due to new ownership, the standards have sadly dropped. ENTER ANTICO CAFFE WTA with his INCREDIBLE traditional, entirely home made Italian Pizza! We have never eaten better. With a range of delicious and unusual toppings we shall certainly be back for more!! An amazing addition to the daytime menu and now as takeaway too!

Had a ham and mustroom pizza for lunch which was absolutely stunning. Totall authentic Italian pizza. This was only the 3rd day of Alex's new Menu and will definitely be having more! The pizza base was thin and fluffy the fillings and sauce complimented each other to make a perfect pizza! Throughly recommend trying! Well done Alex!

Amazing cakes. Noone uses custard in the UK but they do here, coconut cake amazing, profiteroles amazing. This place is a hidden secret and very talented, to find something like this not in London or Bristol is just impossible. I keep going back. Maybe a touch of Italian decor would make it even better, lights music and bit of romance? Anyway for now I will settle for the cake! Thank you, please don't move

On this cold January morning the owner, staff and regulars all made us feel welcome and the hot coffee added to the sense of a nice time. Pop in for good snacks and cake plus authentic Italian goods you can buy.

What a treat. Tried the seafood risotto. Was absolutely excellent. Coffee superb as usual. The wife wasn"t as hungry and had garlic bread with cheese. This was served with an excellent side salad. We shall be continuing to support Alex and his team next year. This is definetely thd best Cafe in Melksham.

My wife and I called in today for a couple of coffees, which were Lavazza perfection - and piping hot! None of that lukewarm Starbucks dishwater is sold here. After paying, I noticed that they sold cannoli and I bought 3 - these need to be tasted as soon as you get a chance! Nice friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere - we shall definitely return to sample the very reasonably priced Italian fare.

Another wonderful cafe in Melksham eaten there several times Alex and his staff were exceptional we couldn’t want for more . THE ICE CREAM WAS THE BEST I HAVE SINCE MY DADS IN 1967 and I have not given that compliment to anyone else . Awesome. Please support this business it deserves every success . Hard workers great food tuna salad yumptious .

Good food for the price. Friendly and family ran. I enjoy the carbonara. I had a beef or sausage and asparagus pasta in the past which was also excellent. It's a good place to catch up with people.

Probably the best cafe in Melksham. It's really worth a visit if you've not been there yet.

Very cheep good prices the coffee was very nice so was the tea and the little kids how served us were so adorable and amazing they were the owners sons thay were like 5 years old. So over all very worth visiting and need support.☕🍽🍴🍰🍦🍳

Alex and Daniella are providing such an accomodating and pleasurable experience. It's refreshing to see the Caffè trying different cakes, each time I go there. Tried the sausage and asparagus orecchiete today. Such a flavoursome sauce, and pasta cooked just right. We chose the chocolate cake, and the special cake (pistaccio) today. Beautifully presented, and full of gorgeous tastes and textures. My Caffè of choice now. Well done guys.

I haven’t had the pleasure to visit the Caffe as I don’t live in Melksham, however I have tasted Alex’s delicious Chocolate Cheesecake. As cheesecakes go this is one of the best Chocolate cheesecakes I have ever tasted. The filling is light & fluffy like a mousse which literally melts in your mouth & is extremely moorish. Alex is a very accomplished baker ( his lemon cheesecake is also scrummy) & when we have the chance to visit family in Melksham we will definitely be going into Antico Caffe to sample more of Alex’s culinary delights. Highly recommended!

Fell in love with this place. Love Italian food and they do it perfectly. Amazing service. Come out with my own extra cheese kept making sure I’m comfortable and enjoying everything. Highly highly recommend this place. I go nearly everyday.

Can't recommend this cafe more highly. Customer service is 100%. Food is genuinely Italian. All home cooked, and prepared fresh on the day. Presentation of meals is very artistic and beautiful. Taste is 200%. They even made me a drink that wasn't on the menu. Found this little gem of a place in 2019, and will return whenever I am in Melksham. Thanking the staff so much.

Sampled one of Antico’s delicious frankfurter and onion baguettes recently. Absolutely delicious! It’s baffling how a relatively simple dish can have such wonderful flavours. Followed by a Tiramisu like you’ve never tasted before, this chef is a genius. The fair here has to be sampled. AMAZING! Never disappoints, always impresses!!

It’s the best in Wiltshire let alone MELKSHAM. So glad we can have our favourite treats again. Alex is the same, wonderful service great ambiance even if it’s outside for the moment. The Lavazza coffee and the homemade lemon cheesecake is still the best in Melksham, or anywhere else we have tried. It’s our personal treat,( in fact we go 3 times a week) just really can’t get enough. Fully recommend this Italian caffe to everyone and anyone. Can only say thank you thank you thank you Alex.

Anniversary TreatThe amazing Alex of Antico Caffe made this beautiful cake for our wedding anniversary today delicious and beautiful. THANK YOUWe also had mouth watering baguettes and cannoli for our lunch. What a day!This incredible little eatery HAS TO BE VISITED. You will return!

Having read the reviews we stopped here for a quick coffee. It was as good as the reviews suggested, quick, friendly service and a great coffee. The food that we saw on display and the cup cakes being served looked fantastic, will definitely try the food next time.Highly recommended.

The staff were INCREDIBLE, the food is amazing and the mood as a whole is the best end to a weekend in bath. We had live music which was gorgeous and the owners were beyond wonderful to us. Could not recommend more!!! 100% you have to make a visit here if you are coming to bath!

Occupying part of a small courtyard on the way into Waitrose, this is a nice little Italian cafe for lunch. They do coffees, drinks, pastas, salads & sandwiches/ baguettes, but no pizzas. Pleasant service, decent food. Nice little haven just off the busy High Street

We saw the cafe was open and sat outside with our dogs and had a superb lasagne. Excellent. We sat outside and our dogs were treated to a bowl of water. The young lady who served us was so kind and helpful.

How wonderful to go to Antico Caffe again. Lemon Cheesecake , coffee ☕️ and ice cream absolutely gorgeous. COVID-19 rules in force, hand sanitizer on entry and exit, socially distant tables and protective screen at counter. Antico Caffe now has a takeaway and delivery service either by the web page or by phone (07788494187). Throughly recommend this Caffe with friendly and professional service.

Just used the brand new online delivery service. The food was outstanding as always and delivered bang on time. No reduction in the first class food and service. Full marks, will be using them again and will recommend to anyone who will listen.

Visited this cafe for the first time today ... what an amazing lunch! I will certainly be going back. The coffee is fabulous and the food totally delicious, top this off with a first class, attentive table service. I can’t recommend this lovely place enough ... I will be a regular from now on.

I have been grabbing the odd coffee from here for a while, but finally stopped for food today, it was brilliant, quick and friendly service. Normally quicks means a lack of quality, but not in this case, the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The tiramisu was delicious. Great for dining with a friend.

Staying in Melksham with family, while in UK from Australia. Googled cafe’s and saw Antico’s. Walked into town on a blustery winter’s day. Once inside the cafe, was greeted by Alex, and found the cafe to have a really good comfortable Italian atmosphere. Chose soup of the day, Vegetable, served with crunchy bread, and it was delicious and warming. My Daughter who lives in Melksham hasn’t been there, so, I will take her for coffee/lunch. A great addition to Melksham town

ANOTHER DELICIOUS LUNCH!Just enjoyed more delicious meals from this unerringly brilliant, cozy eatery. My wife had the best Chicken & Bacon omelette while I enjoyed a Cheese & Pepperoni hot baguette perfectly toasted inside and out. Quickly prepared and served this was the latest of many flawless meals we have enjoyed here. FULL MARKS!

Having time to kill, we decided to have a coffee. Normally we would look for one of the big chains as they are all much of a muchness. However we came across this little gem. Unusually I had tea, whilst my wife had a cappuccino. Hers was clearly made with care and my tea was as good as I have had. The pastries were good quality and it was all served with a genuine smile. Price was reasonable and on par with the chains, so I will be seeking out independent coffee shops more in the future.

Had a lovely vegan burger. The owner is so accommodating he apologised for not having any vegan cake. But lots of choice on vegan milk

Wonderful coffee in a warm friendly atmosphere with mouth watering cakes

The latest in a number of faultless experiences at this gem of an eatery. After booking a table for 7 of us we were treated to drinks, main meals and desserts at a really busy time all of which were perfectly prepared and promptly served with friendly and cheerful promptness, nothing being too much trouble. I offer pictures of the desserts as proof of the standard of presentation adhered too at all times regardless of how busy the admirably competent owner and staff may be.

Perfect Christmas Eve Lunch! Visited Antico as wanted a family cafe lunch on Christmas Eve. It was perfect. Cafe feels cosy and bigger inside than it looks from outside. Very clean and comfortable. The food is amazing value for money and very tasty. I had a goats cheese and cranberry baguette but was spoilt for choice with the menu! The cakes are out of this world and the hot chocolate is the best I have had anywhere. Can’t recommend this place enough. It is a gem tucked away, definitely worth a visit and I will be back!

Best Caesar salad ( chicken) ever had,simply delicious and quality is the best,cakes are the bonus cheesecake it's great,chocolate cake is devine..... Alex provided his signature lemon cheesecake as a take away dish for a family visit over the weekend in Chester. The Cheesecake, even after its 201 mile journey was absolutely scrummy. Can not fault either the delicious dish or the exceptional service, as Alex made a special sized cake for the occasion. It’s a shame we do not live closer as we would be regular customers. My husband and I had an hour to kill in Melksham and were hoping to find a really good cafe to while away the time.......and this we certainly did! Antico cafe is delightful, wonderful coffee and the croissants are to die for! It is tucked away off the High street, near the waitrose side entrance, so very easy to miss. Make sure you don't miss it though as it is worth looking for. The staff were friendly and very helpful and it is a pleasure to support a local business. We will be back when we are next in Melksham, in fact, we wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Well prepared Lasagne and Penne pasta. Cakes were terrific, especially the amaretto. All locals as customers as it is little hard to find. Sits in a courtyard behind another Italian restaurant and is not visible from the street.

Come here most weekends. Atmosphere lovely, staff friendly and welcoming and food delicious. Highly recommend. Cakes are superb!

Popped in whilst passing last week and the coffee was so good I had to come back, and as it is dog friendly when better than mid walk on a blustery Friday morning. We were greeted with a warm welcome great coffee! I might have mentioned that! Then the lovely host brought me water for my furbabies & then some dog biscuits. I love it here. i am certain everyone will. newspapers to read aswell as books. Apparently a group come in on a Friday morning to play backgammon, brilliant.

Popped into Antico for a thoroughly decent coffee and a snack. Fancied something different from his menu, croissant with cheese and bacon, not a problem! Bingo a few minutes later I have my coffee and a cheese and bacon croissant sat in front of me.

This is what we walked into for our afternoon coffee. Alex had heard it was our anniversary so produced this. Thank you oh so much. This cafe is well worth a visit, he produces various cakes and coffee which are always delicious, and the lemon cheesecake is to die for.

Recommended by a local went for a coffee. However just had to try the homemade cake that was displayed. It was all wonderful. Charming little bistro with friendly service. Would highly recommend

Visited this lovely little Italian cafe today the 13th February 2019 for a lite bite and a cup of tea,the food was prepared and displayed very nicely on the plates it was very tasty.it is A very welcoming cafe with nice decor.the Italian man was very friendly saying he had been in England for 9 years but only had the cafe for 1 year and it was doing very nicely,when we left there were quite a few people sat at the tables.i would recommend this place to anyone visiting Melksham .

Been there with my partner and had the creamy pasta with chicken, peas and ham and one lasagna with 2 cakes and 2 soft drinks(we had the Italian peach juices which are different from usual and really nice) and they also sell San pellegrino water which is the best ever and the bill was really impressive(30 pound) we will be back and recommend this place to our friends! Thank you Alex we really enjoyed it!!!

Called in for our usual drinks today and some new choices been added to menu so it had to be done!!!! Tried out the Cannolo Siciliano wow it was yummy we both loved it! We recommend a visit soon!!!

Blown away by the kind and welcoming customer service of this small authentic Italian cafe, the owner was extremely well mannered and explained the menu for me as I’m not a coffee expert the service was quick and the coffee was delicious I almost never left when I tasted the delicious hand made cream cake, the owner came over and asked if I was happy witch I replied “never been happier” this place has given my taste buds a holiday to Italy without leaving the small town and this is why it’s my favourite cafe

Love this place, it’s like being back in Italy, amazing atmosphere, wonderfully friendly staff. The coffee is perfect, made the Italian way, by Italians. Homemade cakes to expand your waistline by. What more could you ask for. Loyalty card gets you free coffee. Win win

I stopped for a quick lunch. Choice is good, food is fresh and cooked on order. I had tortellini with bacon and peas, great taste and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend and I will be back. Thank you for the great lunch guys!! Keep up with the good work

I went here with my sister in law and we both had a fantastic experience! The pasta was UNREAL! Highly recommend if you are looking for real Italian food. We also couldn't resist some cake for dessert which was home-made and tasted phenomenal.

By far the best coffee and cake in Melksham. Fantastic staff, they are real and down to earth. Reminds me of being at home with my family in Italy.
