Angelos Chip Shop in Derby

Lovely food haven't found anything I don't like, and there home made fish cakes to die for a must try, cods done fresh while you wait I like mine lightly fried but each to there own, request what you prefer, very nice accommodating family in my opinion best chippy in Chad by far no complaints here alot of my family and friends go here lovely takeaway chip shop💯

Went in had a fish box hardly any chips for £9.50 and a fish that a pike probably won’t touch at all

Just had the best Haddock and chips for a long time from here. The staff were super friendly and the haddock was cooked fresh for us. Chips were the best we’ve had in a long while. We haven’t been here for a while but will certainly be back and would definitely recommend. Thanks everyone.

We normally go to Oakwood Fish bar as its closer. It was closed though so went to Angelos where I'd not been for years. Little bit more pricey than Oakwood but still very good and a most enjoyable meal.

Go here once a week. I drive past my local chip shop to come here as mine is rubbish. Everything is cooked well, as well as when the owners parents ran it. Fish is tasty, as are chips. If they've sold out of anything they'll cook it fresh. I can recommend the Halloumi burger. The owners are friendly and fast. All their staff are fast and accurate too.

Without a doubt the best chippy around. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are always polite, very friendly and welcoming as are the owners. A well established family business that has been run by the same family for 45 years.

I would normally say good things about this chippy but tonight 20:00 on a Friday night not so good, the cod was so bad I never eat any of it, over cooked, hard bater and the fish was almost translucent!! Sorry but that's what feedback is for.

Nice enough food. But the owner lady is very much short and rude! A BIG lack in personal skills. Also the husband (a nice guy!) Seems very downtrodden by his wife the owner! Lacks the personal touch you normally get off a chippy! The owner lady is very money, money, money!!! A shame really!!

Live 2 minutes away first time used went today at 12:35 got back with 2 portions of chips £6 first time ever have had to microwave take away thought should have been fresh and hot ,chips taste good however just disappointed cold

The very best fresh Cod and Kebabs in the entire Midlands. love goes into Angelo's food. The Doner meat tastes of lamb and not a million spices, the Battered Cod batter is light and crispy and not oily or stodgy. Angelo's also has Derbys best Chip Shop Curry sauce! Recommendations for fish lovers would be his Large Cod. Recommended for kebab lovers is his large mixed kebab with mint yogurt. ( lamb doner and chicken tikka mix )

Called in tonight at 5pm for cod, chips and peas costing £8.40. I must have called in too early as I think it was all lunchtime leftovers reheated. This is my local but I won't be going again.

Havent been to this fish and chip shop for nearly 20 years. Decided to go last night. They cooked my fish fresh when I got there so there was a little wait but it was so worth it. Absolutely Delicious and the service was great too. The staff were really friendly. I will definitely be visiting again.

Best chippy in chaddesden, I always order 2 large cod to be cooked while waiting as my wife prefers her fish cooked fresh, instead of the ones already cooked. It's never a problem ans always tastes lovely, can't recommend enough.

Not sure what daddy's going on about. Freedom of speech. But this is nice little chippy.all cooked fresh so its not been sitting there drying out...would recommend

This place is a joke, for saying they have 2x staff members serving they are in "Reverse gear" but that might also be down to the fact they dont always have everything pre cooked like most chippys so you have a long wait while they cook it, not what you want from a local chippy. Don't ever have there donner meet, as it's always under cooked (unless you want the squits). I would say..... Stay away!!!!

Absolutely awful! Chips tasted like they've been picked up off the bottom of an oven in desperate need of a clean! Black bits on the chips...clearly the fryer needs cleaning asap! Tasted and smelt that bad we couldn't eat them.

Absolute rip off! Awful fish!! Just bought fish and chips from here as our usual chip shop is closed at the moment. Ordered a large fish and chips. When I opened it up I thought I had been given a battered sausauge as thats how small and thin my large fish was it tasted dry and was maily batter, absolutely disgusting robbing gits. You do not deserve to be in business trading standards should shut you down asap!!!!!!!
