We had dinner last night and ordered a couple of vegetarian starters and a main to share, requesting everything together. While the restaurant was quiet, the wait for our order was reasonable. However, the sweet corn cakes were disappointingly stone cold in the middle. The waitress handled the situation well, promptly taking it back to the kitchen and deducting it from the bill as I requested. They apologised again when settling the bill. Overall, the food was decent, but nothing extraordinary.

This restaurant is deceiving from the outside! The food is amazing. I went in for a won ton soup and was blown away. The won tons are prawn which is a rare find! I had to order another soup it was so out of this world. Will deffo be back to sample more of their dishes. The lady who served me was also so lovely and friendly. So glad I went in!

Really like this place...don't judge it by appearances otherwise you'll miss out! Amazing vegan set menu for £20 per head! Can't go wrong, you'll leave full and family run business is so friendly. Go support local businessess...screw the chain restaurants 😜

Such welcoming hosts! Delicious flavours and at last a Thai restaurant that gives you a hot chilli dish if you ask for it!

Food was delicious I would especially recommend the salt and chilli tofu the waiter was lovely he was very attentive and polite we will definitely be back there is also free parking directly outside on a Sunday.

Got pineapple and cashew nut rice but it came with 2 pieces of pineapple and no cashews! It has a whole host of other veggies and tofu which was tasty but not what I ordered! The Tom yum was wonderfully spicy. Order came in 16mins- impressive

The best local Thai restaurant. My favorite is drunken noodles but had Tom yum noodles this time. Spicy foods are proper spicy but there’s plenty of non-spicy options too. This place deserves more attention! The staffs are so lovely and everything is very reasonably priced for the area.

The food is very tasty and the service is very friendly and welcoming. I just think the place needs some refurbishment. Overall, I will come back again!

We went to this restaurant at the weekend. We had been here before and enjoyed it, and were glad we came back. We had the grilled beef salad, which was spicy, fresh and tangy, the pad si-ew and the pad thai. All were excellent. The pad thai was actually better than any we had had in Bangkok. The manager was friendly attentive and efficient. Highly recommend this place. It was completely empty, probably because the windows had been smashed with a hammer by someone in a random attack along the street. Unfortunately for Sawasdee they didn’t have shutters to protect their huge windows when this happened. They could really do with a full restaurant to help pay for new ones. This restaurant and its staff deserve a strong future and it would be a shame for something superficial to cause them problems.

Why is this place so empty?! The food is delicious (properly spicy), fun, friendly and sincere service. Reasonably priced (you get a decent, filling meal for your money). Maybe could do with some music to create more of a vibe. This restaurant deserves to succeed.

Ordered takeaway and it was inedible. All the off cuts of chicken and the massaman was watery. NEVER ORDER HERE

Very nice food and the staff are friendly and accomodating. I really enjoyed my soy seabass and pineapple & cashew rice. Bit pricey but worth it!

Friendly waiters and nice decoration, but the food was mostly bad (aside from the chicken). Also didn’t get a detailed bill at the end.

My favourite Thai restaurant around Hackney. The food is the most authentic I’ve been able to find in London and the prices are more than affordable.

I’m a Thai, Thai food lover, food lover in general, from a family of food lovers and home cooks. Whatever weight that bears to you. I love this Hackney Thai joint with all its warm kitsch. Warmer are the staff. It’s not just the Thai thing. I had the บะหมี่แห้ง ‘Bamee Hang’(dry noodles) with Duck,BBQ Pork & Wontons. It was quite emotional eating what I forgot existed around the Sois of BBK. It was DELICIOUS! The noodles were garlicky oiled, as should be and bungee bouncy, almost Al dente. The wontons, silky but firm and freshly made, if not, I’m happily fooled. The roast pork and duck were perfectly done and seasoned. If you know Bangkok like I do, you’d happily do this once a week. The whole menu is standard and looks legit but this dish and its variations alone is a big deal. The duck noodle soup is another Soi whatever weekly quest from childhood and it’s here and glorious!

ok first of all the restaurant isn’t a looker, it’s a bit dated and really bright inside BUT Sawasdee is super good value, really tasty and the guy that works there (and his mum?) are so friendly and hardworking I love the massaman curry, Tom yum noodle soup, the sweet corn fritters but low key highlight is always three tastes tofu !!!!!!!!!

I was a little worried that I was the only person in the restaurant and food was served within 3mins, but I was pleasantly surprised with fresh tasting food. I popped in off the street for lunch, and had green curry with coconut rice, which was very tasty. The entrance could do with a clean & tidy up as it wasnt a very inviting first impression, but the staff made up for it with a friendly polite welcome. The portion size was ok, and not bad value for money

Very average. The fish cakes were bland; the pad sie eew was exactly that... Eew. The Tom yum soup was a high point, and the duck spring rolls were just okay, nothing special. I will say good value for money especially compared to some of the other Thai places in the area, and my girlfriend enjoyed the roast duck noodles. But overall, so-so.

Good place to go for a quick bite. The food is decent and is served quickly, however not quite up to par with the quality of other places I've visited. All is reasonably priced and the service is friendly.

We had a lamb massaman, Thai green curry (veggie), prawn crackers and a papaya salad and everything was absolutely delicious and very well priced. The service was great and we received our meals within 10 minutes of ordering. A great local Thai restaurant

Genuinely one of the worst meals I've ever had. Noodles were inedible and I ended up leaving most of them.

The Tofu and Cashew in Red Wine Sauce is delicious! The vegetable fried rice was great too. Quick delivery & well-priced!

I ordered dinner tonight and I was really disappointed. My food arrived cold as it was poorly packed and the restaurant also didn’t send any cutlery as well as putting all the food, including the soup, in a flat container. I am not fussy, but I have reduced mobility at the moment, which meat that given the lack of cutlery and the inappropriate packaging I could not eat most of my (cold) dinner. It was a very disappointing experience, don’t be fooled by the pretty pics on the delivery app.

Stopped here for a quick meal and a couple of beers with friends. The duck pancake starter was very nice, the green curry was pretty good, though the summer rolls one of our group ordered were a pretty bland. The service is quick & overall I would reccomend.

One of my favourite restaurants in london! I’ve been here for delivery dine in, takeaway, everything! The food is consistently great (I’ve literally ordered from here for years now and never had a wrong order or mistake for over THREE years!) and I can’t say enough great things! This incredible family run restaurant is super authentic and such a hidden gem! So well priced and flavourful food! The service is excellent and I have always left with a smile on my face! Excellent on all counts… incredible food, service, and everything! Can’t say enough great things about this place!

The Tom kha was delicious, green curry and papaya salad. He also changed out the rice for me for veggies which was appreciated bc I can’t eat carbs right now and didn’t give me a hassle..he just did it and happily and I really appreciate that! Thank you!

Typical thai food, very tasty and served rapidly with 5-10 minutes total waiting time. The decor and dining atmosphere could be improved but the food is really 5 star. The waiter was nice and the pricing of the dishes is very reasonable. I definitely recommend.

5/5 this was LOVELY authentic Thai food. We had the prawn spring rolls to share which had a perfect balance of flavours and the chilli dipping sauce was punchy and divine. Then a tofu red curry and a prawn green curry as mains. Basic choices yes, but the flavours packed into those curries was amazing - beautiful depth and complexity. Was a good sized meal for two without being too much - perfect. Really felt this place ought to have been busier considering the quality of the food. Would definitely come back.

Dreadful - pad thai tasted like it had been cooked by a Russian and the duck had been incinerated to the point you couldn’t actually distinguish between that and beef. The som tum, though relatively tasty, was not enough for one person and was almost £11 - very poor overall

I usually visit for Saturday lunch. Their curry dishes are really flavoursome and delicious. It never disappoints. The serving man is always friendly and welcoming.

So disappointing, years ago this restaurant used to be top notch restaurant, went in there over the weekend and I was shocked and so disappointed at what I saw and ate. inside the restaurant is shabby with odd matched tables and unused table stacked in the corner, there are plants all over the place and these very small flies that are just irritating; it just looks terrible, the food was just equally terrible, I had fried crab and The sesame seed toast, it tasted as if it been fried two days ago and it was burnt and horrible. The only thing that was half decent was the Wong tong soup and the chicken fried rice but even that was disappointing, The pieces of chicken were so big they could not be even be bothered to cut them down into small sizes to make the dish more appetizing, just massive pieces of chicken and that’s hardly any rice; an to add insult to injury, it’s vastly overpriced. Do yourself a massive favour, eat somewhere else.

Awful food! We actually had to throw it away. We ordered from the vegetarian menu but I'm pretty sure it had fish sauce in. Regardless of that, the food was bland, soggy and actually just tasted nasty. So disappointing as it's pretty expensive! Avoid.

Do not order via Just Eat. One hour after scheduled delivery time the restaurant had no idea where items are. Claimed it would be 3 mins. Then 20mins later told me the order was returned to store. Do not recommend.

Absolutely outstanding! The attention to detail with the packing to keep the food hot, crunchy and fresh was bang on and the delivery was prompt and efficient on both occasions. The Chicken Pad-Ka Prow with rice and a fried egg along with the Morning Glory with chilli and garlic were so good that we literally re-ordered those two dishes again immediately after! They nailed the mixed starters and the satay sauce was as good as I’ve ever had. Not sure if the bad reviews are down to consistency or a change in personal/management but I can honestly say for memory, it is the best Thai delivery I’ve had. Cannot recommend enough and without a doubt we will be ordering from there again and again. To whom ever was on the pans and cooked our meal. Take a bow. Superb!!

Incredible food, superb attention to detail with the packaging in order to retain heat, freshness and crunch along with super fast delivery. The food is absolutely delicious....Chicken Pad-Ka Prow with rice and fried egg along with the Morning Glory with Garlic and Chilli were outstanding (with insanely deep spice and heat)! In fact they were so good that we literally re-ordered those two dishes again after we finished!! They nailed the mixed starters and their satay sauce is as good as I’ve had anywhere ever. Not sure if the couple of historical, poor reviews are due to consistency or a change in personal/management but what I can say is this was as good a home delivered Thai meal as I can remember. Cannot recommend highly enough and will most definitely be ordering from them again. Phenomenal!

This place should be avoided. The service was bad, the restaurant dirty and overpriced. They added 6 pound of service charge to the bill for only 2 people, and overcharged the drinks. So in the end even with the government discount it was expensive.

Ordered waited over 1 hr for order, gave the delivery driver directions because he was struggling to find our door, event though we put the specific development post code and door number, rude on phone then cancelled order on us. Very disappointing !

I didn't dislike this restaurant. The service was friendly and quick, the environment was reasonably clean and the food was ... mediocre. That's it. Nothing special. Would I go again? Probably, on a rainy day.

It's okay. The place feels a bit unkept in my view. Way too many dusty plastic floral tributes that don't exactly make it appetising.

Some of the food was ok. But just ok. My husband and sons meat was dry which wouldn’t have been so much of an issue but I was shocked by the price at the end. So expensive for what it was we were 2 adults and 2 kids (one which is 2 years old) and we payed over £80+ I have never paid that a restaurant here! Not worth it

Nice clean restaurant. The food was very tasty and the service was politely adequate. Calm and forgetful atmosphere time easily passes while you enjoy your meal. Loved the experience but have a couple of minor gripes for which I have deducted points. Firstly I was really disappointed that the napkins weren't cloth but the flimsy cheap paper tissues you get when you buy something like chicken wings and chips. Secondly this is what I considered a relatively decent restaurant but at a price of nearly £30 a head I would hope for a choice of eating implements as I've experienced in other Asian restaurants and not the standard western spoon and fork. Lastly why don't restaurateurs supply you with tooth picks any more? Like I said minor gripes but after all I'm paying good money.

Truly awful food. Everything was so bland that we couldn’t even bring ourselves to eat it despite being hungry. We ordered a beef salad, a green chicken curry and summer rolls. The two mains were so completely lacking in any flavour that they must be cutting corners, leaving out ingredients and I assume using minimal amounts of low quality ingredients. I’ve had below average Thai a number of times in London and normally it means the flavours aren’t fully there and it’s not great but this was almost watery, it just tasted like unseasoned chicken and beef. The summer rolls had obviously been made quite a while ago and had a hardened skin on them. I ordered through Deliveroo. I don’t know if they deliberately send rubbish food out for takeaways as you can’t send anything back but I can’t imagine anyone would eat this in the restaurant. Complete waste of money.

The food was good. The atmosphere was not so good as we were the only customers for the whole duration of our meal on a sunny Saturday lunch. The toilets although clean were a bit of a let down. The bifolding door were a bit tricky to close and when I tried to open them, the handle which only holding with blue tack, stayed in my hand. It was lucky that someone else was outside washing their hands or I would have stayed there for a long time. Lol

OMG!! 😊 I had just had a Tom Kha Mushroom soup and I ordered another one. So super delicious.. Also the Vegetarian Mix Starter was outstanding. Everything is super yummy and the staff is very professional and friendly. You need to try this place. Definitely coming back again and again 😍

Great food, nice service. We went on a Tuesday night and it had a relaxed atmosphere. We tried the aromatic duck, prawn spring rolls, the stir-fry main with cashews and pork, and coconut rice. They were all great.

Awful. None of the stir fries had any vegetables in it just lumps of ill prepared tofu covered in sweet sauce , not how they are described in the menu at all. My boyfriend had the Beef panang which was not good either. And the portion sizes were a joke....so small they didn't even reach halfway up the sides of the container....so for the amount it cost really not OK... Won't be reordering!

Great menu that includes dishes from northern Thailand

Sadly one of the worst thai takeaways I've had in while. My Mussaman chicken seemed to be largely skin and bone, with a really watery sauce, and the steamed dim sum weren't served with a separate dip but with watery sauce (not sure what exactly) poured over. For the best part of £20 i expected more.
