Missed a lot of my team mates on Thursday night ...but it was nice to familiar faces when I went in...lovely bar staff too...shame my captain wasn't there to greet me...after a awesome game of pool at Macmerry

We took sanctuary in the Anchor after missing a bus and being caught in a downpour! It's a traditional, no-frills pub serving good beer in a nice location. Full of regulars on a rainy Sunday.

"rough and ready" type of pub and I like that it's a compliment.

A small wee cosy bar that once you get in with the locals the banter will flow. Doesnt serve food but the free wee pies were stoatin'. Pool room in the back to boot.

Called in here on a Saturday night with the wife before going for dinner. Place was a rabble, music blaring despite being early & not very busy, bought barmaid a drink to very little response, looks like a regulars venue other pubs in town far more welcoming & friendly

Lovely pub, with friendly staff. Not enough seating in the front bar it was standing room only but I had a nice drink in a friendly atmosphere would recommend it any time.

Booked in today to treat mum n I as we weren't able to spend Mother's Day together .Surpassed my expectations ! Round of sandwiches of our choice ,2 scones with jam n cream each and 4 cakes each .Certainly didn't come away hungry .The quality portion size and presentation was excellent . Chef did well and staff were all very efficient and helpful .Had lunch and breakfast here but can also recommend afternoon tea .Thanks team

Passed this Cafe several times and always wanted to give it a try, definitely be the first and last, was a bit surprised to see no prices on display but ordered 2 breakfast rolls 2 coffees and scones anyway, the price at the time I thought was rather steep but just let it go, but just been on my online banking and noticed had been charged even more than was told , just does not justify at all what was bought and the quality did not justify the price either have tasted better, very disappointing

Just home from our meal & we are all disappointed. The food was nice, no complaints about the taste but the restaurant was freezing so the food got cold as quickly as we did. Price- very high, £13 per dish as a minimum, which would be acceptable somewhere else but we were in a very basic setting & seated in the takeaway runway, we did not buy any drinks. Delivery drivers & staff were backwards & forwards with the door opening & letting in more cold. There was just nothing special about the place, it did not feel like a treat as a meal out should & the hygiene of our server was also off putting We would not revisit The takeaway was very popular. We did miss the free prawn crackers we get in every other restaurant

The Crown and Kitchen in East Linton had good trip advisor reviews, so we decided to stay for 1 night on our journey to eastern Scotland. Although there is no car park, there was plenty of on street unlimited parking near to the Inn. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we were shown to our beautiful contemporary room by a very helpful member of staff. Rooms are next door to the bar area, and so quiet. There was a wide choice of dishes for dinner, including fish and vegetarian options. Breakfast was very good. There were fresh berries and yoghurt and a range of cereals, as well as cooked options. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and the whole place was well cared for, light and welcoming. We will stay again when we are in the area, and can recommend it without hesitation.

Lovely quiet restaurant with quick & efficiency service. Fantastic service from Jill who tried to help me generate the Blue light code required for the 25% discount. Most frustrating.
