Had a takeaway and the pizzas were delicious, as well as being great value for money! Would definitely order from here again!

I've not had a chance to eat here so the rating is purely regarding not getting tables I booked.First time I booked they had double booked me and didnt have the table. We had friends over from Essex. Very embarrassing.Recently i booked 4 weeks ahead for my wedding anniversary in October and received an email cancelling the booking without reason or even a phone call to offer me alternatives. Perhaps I'll never get to taste the food that looks delicious or taste a bottle of Chianti to compliment my succulent steak or gaze lovingly into my wife's eyes over a candle lit table on our anniversary. Perhaps 3rd time lucky? I doubt it

This review is long- overdue but my husband and I ate here last year and we hope to return again. I recall we both had pizzas which were lovely and huge. The restaurant was super busy that night so service was a little slow and I had to chase up our order a few times- however it was worth it when it came and the atmosphere was good and lively. The decor is also really nice and has a stron Italian vibe,

We ordered pizza from here for delivery last night and I genuinely think it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had. It was SO flavoursome and the perfect amount of dough. We had the caprino (the goats cheese was INCREDIBLE) and the Crudo & Rucola (we added olives and they went perfectly). Honestly can’t recommend the pizzas enough!

Really enjoyed my my meal as did everybody else, staff superb.

As a vegan of over 20 years standing, I am used to going out with friends and my meal sometimes being a poor substitute for those for the meat eaters and vegetarians. We had an amazing time at Da Mara when I went with family and friends for my friend's birthday. The service was exceptional, we could not have asked for more. As it was a large party it was lovely having the area downstairs to ourselves and there was a wonderful atmosphere. I liked the music also. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My little boy had the Margherita pizza and wolfed it down. As a vegan I went for the Marinara pizza. There is always a simple topping on a Marinara pizza but with quality ingredients, a wizard at the pizza oven and that amazing pizza base it was simply divine! Even the bread was delicious. Da Mara pay attention to every detail. No wonder people keep going back and I will do the same. I am looking forward to trying their vegan gnocchi next time!! I have been a vegan for over twenty years and it was so nice to go somewhere and be catered for so well.

Having been regular customers at DaMara for some time when we planned our Wedding Celebrations we knew we wanted to have a meal for family and friends at the restaurant. We had a wonderful time, the staff at DaMara designed a special menu for us and all of the 25 people at our wedding had a really great time. We were looked after very well, excellent service, even better food and and they were even kind enough to make us a cake !! Thank you to The Da Mara team for making our day very special.

My fiance and I visited Da Mara to celebrate our anniversary. We'd never been before and stumbled across it while searching for somewhere new to try. We arrived to a busy and bustling restaurant and got seated in the corner next to where all the supplies are housed - meaning we never had more than a few minutes alone before a member of staff popped back and forth to get bits and bobs. It was a bit of a tight squeeze and I felt quite uncomfortable having them so close, so often.

Has been a long time favourite of mine for years but I went here today after a 6 months of not eating there due to being too busy for health reasons. I was given a clean bill of health today and called in on way home hospital to get a bite to eat. Was made to feel like I stepped in to a home away from home. I was offered much appreciated offer of a glass of fizz to celebrate my news, and when they heard I was in a rush they made sure we were served extra quickly. Was a very special moment for me and I’m glad I was there to mark it. More than just a restaurant- a little slice of community in the capital. And check out those pizzas!

My wife and I popped in for pizza before a gig at The Globe. The pizzas were very nice and the arancini was fantastic. Full of flavour, a satisfyingly good size. The service was excellent too.

Meal for 4 at this Italian restaurant. Wonderful food and looked after by all the staff including Giuseppe who was great. When things calmed down the chef was able to engage with us as well which was just great. Food was all very tasty and hot. I thoroughly enjoyed my Sicilian sausage which was served in a type of broth (I had to mop the dregs up with bread as it was so tasty). Having heard good reports of Da Mara's pizzas, I popped in yesterday and enjoyed a fantastic meal : mushroom, ham & olive pizza, cocktails, tiramizu and coffee. Lovely decor & atmosphere, great quality food and attentive service. I cannot wait to return again and again. Proper, authentic pizza with great mozzarella.

Fabulous restaurant. Lovely attentive (not overly) staff. Great atmosphere and where do l start with the food? Sublime. We all ordered different meals, which all looked good and, family reported tasted good too. I had scallops to start. Quite simply the most delicious I've ever had. Like little fluffy clouds on your tongue! Cod loin for my main in a lemony dressing. Beautifully cooked. That was my first visit. It won't be my last.

Da Mara is a really cozy restaurant. The staff make you feel at home and the food is outstanding. Both of us were really impressed with our food and the prices were so reasonable. I personally wouldn’t choose to go somewhere like pizza express knowing they were round the corner!

I showed up here on a wet Thursday night and to be honest it was very quiet. It was the 15th menu I'd looked at in the area. However, the service I received was warm, friendly and super-fast. I had the Cotto e Funghi Calzone and it was a good size and had excellent flavours. I then followed with the Tiramisu (and I know a bit about a tiramisu!) and again it was first class, made by hand in the restaurant that day. With a pint of Peroni and coffee, the whole thing came in at £25. Great value, great food, and excellent friendly service. I would definitely go again!

My wife and I visited on Saturday lunchtime. The service was very friendly and efficient. I had the excellent Gnocchi in a lovely tomato sauce and my wife had the scallops which she said were very good. For desert my wife had the classic tiramisu and I had a fantastic cheesecake. I would definitely recommend this Italian, this is my third visit and the quality of the food is outstanding.

Not our first experience of da Mara and definitely won’t be our last! My husband and I decided last minute to go for a pizza, when we walked in we felt like old friends the welcome was so warm. We both ordered calzones as a table alongside were eating them and they looked amazing, so glad we did! Absolutely cannot fault this restaurant, the welcome is always warm and we’ve never had a bad meal, thanks so much guys and see you again soon!

Have been to this restaurant a few times the time before last I really enjoyed the chicken dish with blue cheese sauce and vegetables so when my hubby and I decided to eat out last Friday we chose Da Mara again.

Visited damara with my husband i had steak strips with pasta was really tasty my husband had the pizza which he said was the best pizza he has tasted followed by tirimusu which tasted as good as it looked deffinatley be going there again service was quick and staff friendly

I had a lovely meal here in August, I had the Ragu which was beautiful and my partner had the pollo Gorgonzola which he really enjoyed.

Me and a few friends arrived at damara and as soon as you walk in there is such a friendly and lovely vibe, we ordered a few glasses of wine and a couple of us had pizza and a few ordered traditional spaghetti Bolognese well the food was a bonus so delicious and tasteful let's just day we were all smiles walking out of there , will certainly be back soon

Visited this italian restaurant,, which is now under new ownership and name for quite some time, on the back of the tripadvisor reviews. Unfortunately our experience was average only, sontrasting with the reviews.

Just ok special starter the Italian sausage well could of came from a burger van 2 sausages and a bap poor had a steak for main and meat cut was a poor standard . Ate with 9 of us and overall presentation of food was bad in general expected alot more from this place and was left disappointed

My partner and I wanted to try a good restaurant for our anniversary and his birthday and this looked appealing from the reviews on here. However, the food was average and very bland with no seasoning. The best part was the desserts as it was just chocolate.

We went to Da Mara for dinner at 19.30 and the waiting staff were very attentive. We were served responsibly quick which worried me for the pasta dishes. We ordered a pizza which my friend was happy with and my wife ordered the aubergine parmigiana which was OK. I ordered the wild boar ragu which gnocchi the sauce was nice but the gnocchi was a little hard too much al dente for me. Once the restaurant started to get too busy there was not enough serving staff for a restaurant of this size on a Friday night 3 for at least 80 covers is not enough. We had to ask for the dessert menus after some time. But it was worth the wait the mango cheesecake was to die for.

I would encourage anyone to come here for proper pizza. I love the Napoli tiles on the pizza oven and to me the pizzaiolo knows exactly what he’s doing and is great at it.

I went there to eat a pasta and I tasted the best amatriciana ever. The parmigiana as a starter was very good and the tiramisu as dessert was awesome. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants to taste the real Italian food.

Went there with a few friends, we had amazing starters and a very brilliant main course, it was just perfect and the girl on the floor called Ada is been helping us with all of our choices, one of the best Italian meals ever tried, I will surely come back!!

Was quite disappointed with our pasta choices, small portions and not as flavourful as we’d hoped. The table next to us however had ordered pizzas and they looked good so that may be the way to go!

This is a small, friendly, independent restaurant. The staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The pizza was delicious. It felt like an authentic Italian restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the wine is good. We had a fantastic evening here.

We have only been here for the pizzas they are amazing very good, the quality of the ingredients are amazing and prepared very well. Only giving a 3 star because they give you a jug of water, when we sit down so we drank it and at the end of the meal they charged us 550.

Tonight I had an esplendid dinner with my girlfriend. We had starters, mains and deserts. All the dishes were super tasty, delicious and with an amazing presentation.
