Amore Restaurant, Aberdare in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Mixed reviews from our group on the mains, the lamb shank and steak were great risotto was tasteless and missing the main ingredient, two of us had ordered risotto and when flagged no refund was offered. Feedback on desserts also mixed, ice cream and tirimasu were amazing ferror Roche cheescake not so great.

We reserved the cocktail area of the restaurant for a few hours after our wedding ceremony on the 21st June. We only required drinks and starters to see our guests through to our evening party and Amores was ideal for this. The staff were fantastic, I was greeted with a glass of prosecco and smiling faces. Nothing was too much trouble and even when my grandchildren spilt over into other areas of the restaurant it was not a problem. Thank you all so much for helping us celebrate our day.

From the time we entered the restaurant we felt welcomed, all staff were smiling and greeted us which made us feel happy. The quantity and quality of the food was tasteful and value for money. We had three courses and each course was delicious. Service was prompt and efficient with our main server Bella professional and funny however, all the staff interacted with us, asking how we enjoyed our meal. We will certainly be returning customers.

First time since I moved back to Wales to have a meal in Amore and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Would certainly recommend to anyone and we will look to visiting

First time to visit, even though we live locally. The restaurants fixtures and fittings are smart & clean. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The food was good.

Went hear with friends 27th March 2024, seating quickly, drunk and main orders were all done in good time? But when it came to the desserts, they gave us the menus and we waited, and we waited for them to take our order even tho it was dead, and the staff were standing behind the bar? Very disappointed, we paid our bill and walked out, and went to wetherspoons round the corner?

We try to visit every month . Sadly my meal was very poor- Prawns starter in a tin of tomato soup and the meat ball main meal was the same . What’s gone wrong??

Beautiful local restaurant, we were out as a couple for our Christmas dinner, food was amazing, service prompt and attentive. Absolutely no complaints at all. Not our first visit and definitely not our last.

Really enjoyed our visit. We hadn’t booked but were greeted with a warm welcome. Food was excellent and the service outstanding. Steve I think his name is has worked there from the start. I always assumed he was a manager or owner as he is so professional, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. What an huge asset he is to this business!!

We came for my father in laws 80th birthday. The service was amazing throughout the meal and we could not fault any of the food at all.

Great staff, great atmosphere, fantastic food. I had the salmon and prawns, followed by the panacotta, and my partner had the lamb cutlets and Ferrero cheesecake (which was fantastic ) 👍👍!! this is the first time we have been to Amore Restaurant myself my wife and 2 friends popped in for an evening meal we had to pre book and got a 2 hour slot 7.30 -9.30 the staff were very friendly and polite our friends had stake my wife had Lamb cutlets and I had a Pizza the meal was delicious and the deserts were the best I have ever tasted the Restaurant is quiet new but very poplar and an ideal location in the middle of town I would highly recommend it we shall visit again

What an incredible evening. We went here for my mams 70th birthday and there were 21 of us. Every meal was incredible. We did have to pre order, but I didn’t see the email until two days before the meal. I got the last preorder in on the morning of the meal. They had absolutely everything right, which, to be honest was not made easy by myself. The service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. They really did go above and beyond. Will definitely be going back.

Really lovely experience from start to finish. The service was friendly and welcoming for a family including 3 children, the decor was beautiful and very clean. Amazing food, good portions and quick. If we come back to Aberdare we’ll definitely make another visit. In fact worth a visit to Aberdare just for the restaurant.

Visited Amore for a birthday meal as a group of four. We were met promptly and shown to our table by friendly staff. Service was good and orders were taken promptly. Food was very good and reasonably priced. What I would say as a point was that it was incredibly loud in the restaurant which made it difficult to have a conversation without shouting, but this means the restaurant is popular and thriving. Just what aberdare needs. Will be visiting again soon!

Met up with friends on Friday night. Food was excellent and service was first class. Staff very attentive and friendly. Will be taking my family back there.

Took my partner out for dinner. The service was excellent and the food was good and good cheese pull on the cheesy garlic bread was amazing only downside was my carbonara split overall was a good meal.

I didn't order the coleslaw, I ordered potato salad, as I'm not a fan of coleslaw but I have to admit the coleslaw was actually nice, delivery guy delivered here before, and once again, was super friendly and helpful too food was delish

The service was terrible because of the fact that they did not even listen to my note that i had left for them. I specifically told them not to put black olives on my vegetarian pizza. HOW HARD IS IT REALLY? And they still did not listen. As if it was the hardest job in the world.

Two hour delivery time, no problem. Wrong delivery location, no problem. Made me walk around for an hour looking for the driver, no problem. Cold Pizza, no problem. For them, cause apparently it’s not their problem.

Well, I don't always leave a review for the restaurant where I usually eat, but this time .. Oh boy! I was starving with my husband and made an order at Amore. Not only the food was great, they arrived 30 min early! thank you guys!!

I did not have a great experience with them at all. I was charged extra at my door, £2, because of my location when on other occasions was not charged this amount. I find it devious that this information is not on their page and they chose whenever they feel like it to do this sought of add-on price.

this service is a joke. I ordered a meal deal and got a call being told to pay an extra £2 due to location. I was hesitant but I said ok. To make things worse I ordered the food and it was late. on top of everything else they forget to bring my wings and garlic bread. so I only had a medium pizza box. I paid good money for one medium pizza box. this behaviour is appalling and won’t order from here again. thanks for making me waste my money.

I ordered at 8.30pm and by 10pm, my order had not arrived. I rang the restaurant, and the man at the other end said that he'd misplaced my order. I received a half-hearted apology with no suggestions about how we could resolve the problem. All the man said was that he could send out my order "if I wanted". However, my family and I were obviously starving. We did not want to wait another hour and a half, so we cancelled it. I've ordered from here before and I've noticed that the man on the phone, who I speak to regularly, is quite rude.

menu very good, service very good and a kind driver to top it all off

The Pizza was OK, but nothing special. I thought lets try a new place maybe it's better then my local pizza shops. However, the pizza is just your standard cheap pizza. I.e. I paid £16 for 2 XL, but it tastes the same as the rubbish pizza shop down the road which charges £10. Literally nothing great about the pizza just your average pizza NOT worth £16.
