Hidden gem. Great dough. Good ingredients (the cheese really has flavour). Very good service (issued separate bills when we only asked to pay separately). Cosy. The only downside is the lack of customers, at least when I went. Give it a try!

My wife and I are up in Cambridge for a couple of days. Whilst waiting for our film at the Vue we wanted a quick bite to eat. We found this lively little place right opposite the Vue and looking at the menu it was really inviting. Unfortunately the sandwich I was after was not avalible as they had run out of Brisket. So we for a couple of the small Flam-Kuche (skinny pizzas). We ordered the goats cheese one with a spiced cream sauce base and the pulled pork shoulder with the traditional tomato base. We were not wait long for these to arrive and my god they were really nice. We did go half and half so got to enjoy them both. This is a busy little place which to me shows it is a popular place to eat. I would totally recommend giving here a try and see for yourselves. Sorry there are no pictures, I was enjoying the food to much to remember. Only thing we felt it could do with is a little background music.

Went for a quick lunch today, waited a few more minutes than I'd have liked for the waitress but that was OK. Ordered a garlic bread starter and pizza. I had a present to pick up in the Grafton Centre so asked how long for food? Chef said 10 m for garlic bread, 5 for pizza. Great, I'll be back in 10. Got back and the chef brought me my pizza. Where's the garlic bread starter? He repeatedly pointed out that this was my mistake, he'd told me the pizza was going to be quicker. Maybe so but I didn't ask him to cook the pizza first (I've been there a few times and that's never happened, in my world unless customer specifies "bring it out as soon as it's made" then it's starter -> main). The oven pings and he brings over the garlic bread. I said I didn't want it then changed my mind. He walks past the waitress and says take the garlic bread off the bill. I thought, fair enough, thank you. Then the bill turns up, the garlic bread was still on there as was a tip. I thought I could stay and say something but instead thought come back and write a review that might be a better solution. Food good but getting irate and finger pointing at a customer never a good thing to do and then offering a discount and then rescinding that offer doubly bad.

Took my son here after a cinema visit. It’s the only place we like to eat in the Grafton Centre. We’ve been a few times before but this was our first visit in a while. Staff were friendly, attentive and happy to go the extra mile. We were told about the ‘kids eat free’ offer which was great. My son is picky so the pizza was made to his liking, which he ate all of. The loaded fries are unmatched from any other loaded fries I’ve had from anywhere else. Love that you can eat a whole pizza here and not feel bloated. Fresh, quality food in a relaxed atmosphere. Thanks once again.

The restaurant is rather strangely located in the Grafton Centre, It is - in effect - open air in that while indoors [in the centre] it has no roof and is under the dome of the Grafton. It was very cold and draughty; the ambiance is not added to by the diners sitting round in their coats! The place was understaffed with apparently one cook and one server. We arrived for a cinema date in plenty of time with about 4 tables taken and were warned that there would be 15 minute wait. I have - however - given 5 stars based on the standard of the food and the care taken by the server. I shall return!

This little restaurant would be "street good" if it was outside, but it has proper seating inside the Grafton, just opposite the cinema. This is a truly unique place, the only one in Cambridge that has Flammekueche on the menu (or whatever spelling they may choose for this famous Alsatian dish to adapt to the English; it is also called Tarte flambée in French). Please understand: this is not pizza! Yes, the restaurant uses this term (probably to better fit what people here know), and they even offer a red, tomato-based sauce like on a pizza (for the same reason). You can't blame them: they need to sell covers to the public that has no idea what this dish is. And I read reviews here that call it 'pizza' as a result.... The Flammekueche is a very attractive dish, with white (cream based) sauce and a completely different dough. A variety of savoury toppings are on the menu, very wide choice, and most are delicious. I highly recommend this to you, both the dish concept and the Amelie environment and their pretty good rendering of Flammekueche.

Not great, table was dirty when we sat down even though it wasn’t busy & waitress was standing around. I had Garlic prawns & there were only 5 or 6 which for £9.45 was not good value. Skinny Pizzas again in my opinion not worth the money. Coffees are one size in a very small cup for £2.75 & no option to choose small or large. Bit of a rip off! £50 for three of us for a light lunch & a 12.5% service charge added on without any option! Won’t be going back

Food was disappointing. Due to the pizza base being so thin they aren't cooked for very long, this resulted in raw onion which was pretty much the overall flavour. Dirty fries not particularly pleasant and salad choices are poor if you don't like Feta. Refill drinks are overpriced as the glasses are small so I had to ask for 2 refills. Would prefer a pint and no refill. Oddly they were unable to split the bill and added a 12.5% charge for service.

Pretty expensive for what you get. Fried squid was nothing special. Everyone talks about these "dirty fries" but they were just a bunch of fries, I don't get the hype. The Flam-kuche was fine, but again, super expensive for a meal that isn't likely to fill you up. Service was surprisingly slow given that there were only 1-2 other customers the entire time we were there. The restaurant is in the Grafton centre where we had been to the cinema. Afterwards we went in and almost immediately the staff blocked the entrances to stop others coming in. With us there were three tables in use. A waiting staff member came after a while and took our order for drinks and food and then - precisely at 830pm rushed out leaving only one to serve. The drinks did not appear. Eventually two meals were put up on the pass and ignored. I did think of going up and collecting them but then I'm British and we don't do that! The food and drinks were eventually delivered. The Flam kuche was very tasty but at best "warm". I mentioned it when the waiting staff checked but they did not seem very concerned. When the bill arrived I tries to remove the "optional service charge" but apparently this was too complex and would take time so basically I gave up! The diners at the next table were very appreciative! As others have said it is somewhat expensive. A 175ml glass of wine was over £9. I do feel this was an isolated incident and that we were "unlucky". I will go again in the future with hope ...

Shocking! Be careful, if you take a bite to discover the food is off, they will charge you for the privilege!! First time my partner and I have eaten here. After taking a bite, he queried the freshness with the waitress, who said the fish was in fact from the day before. The chunks of Avocados where also brown. The waitress took the plate away and he was offered nothing more (wonderful customer service, not!) The bill arrived for full payment, which he asked to speak with the manager about. At first the Manager said she could reduce the bill by 50% because he had eaten some of it, which was laughable!! Then she said the food was fresh “today”, but the waitress had already confirmed it was not fresh!! So, the Manager said she could knock 80% off - final offer! Having being forced to pay 20% for food that was off, I’m disgusted and leaving this review!! To be clear, I had a different dish, which was fine and paid full price for.

The crispy fried squid is to die for and they make the best hummus. The menu has great options which keeps us coming back, and it tastes great every time we order from them even if it is to go! The best part is that they sell “make your own” Flam-kuche kits which is great for dinner parties at home with friends. Our friends who came from Manchester and now order them since they ship nationwide. Highly recommend this place if you haven’t been. Ask for Alex when you are there.

We booked this thinking it was a restaurant, but it’s in a food hall - so disappointed.Pizzas were great and a nice concept - even the gluten free ones! I was a bit surprised at the price, a little expensive for what they were and where it’s placed - they were restaurant prices in a good hall.Would make a nice lunch, if you’re prepared to pay that price.Didn’t have enough wine to buy a bottle and failed to deliver all the food st the same time - and we were the only ones in the place

Went for a family meal after cinema. It’s a good concept and well done. Food good and a range of drinks. The only downside is the location; open to a shopping mall. If they ever open one in its own premises, it could be a real winner.

Visited today myself and my friend, waited a little while for the drinks and food. Lovely food but had a very uncomfortable experience where the manager visibly stressed and angry towards staff members, who were quite clearly trying their hardest in a understaffed situation. The manager proceeded to swear and shout at the members of staff and slamming receipts and items of cutlery on the work surface. There was lack of help towards the staff members from the manager. In view of this we were given our meal for free and so was other people sitting down eating, how ever you do not speak to members of staff the way we had witnessed today. The food was lovely and would highly recommend but the poor waiter was brilliant and hopefully the manager sees this review and re thinks his professional approach to his staff members

Clearly had a rookie waiter who had to be encouraged by the guy behind the counter to tell him to take our order. He noticed we had waited quite a while. We all enjoyed the food. Very appetising and tasty, not too heavy.

The Grafton is not a place we would choose to visit, but we had heard good things of this little eatery (and were aware of its provenance). The concept (flammenkuche) is wonderfully simple and we had first tried them in an hotel in Laon, but never ever seen them again, until this place opened. We had meant to try Amelie for a while, but were always put off by the Grafton Mall.We were there on a not terribly busy day (1/4 of the tables occupied) and whilst the food was great the service was a little chaotic and slow, with just a lone waitress; a side order of chips arrived as (effectively) dessert. However, the slightly longer period of sitting was welcome. The flammenkuche were wonderful, though, light and crisp.

Went for lunch today. We ordered and they didn't bring my food. We waited a bit and as I had ordered the same as my partner I thought I'd ask. They then said that was because they had run out of that, there was only one left. Well I was glad I asked otherwise no one said anything to us. I ordered something else which they didn't have either. Then ordered something else which also didn't come. They came to pick up the empty plates from my partner and kids and I asked about my order which the waitress seemed surprised it hadn't come out. Then I said I didn't want it anymore. They brought ice cream for the kids, they ate it and then my order (which I said didn't want) arrived. Brought the bill normally charging for every thing and not even an apology. We paid for everything and left. Won't be going back

Tasty, reasonably priced restaurant. Good if you're wanting to try something different. Nice alternatives to a traditional Tarte flambée. Clean and enjoyable environment with friendly staff.

Like the low carb pizza and starter options. Not five stars because it didn't knock me off my feet but I was thoroughly happy we'd gone there.

Maison Clement is deeply mismanaged, with an abysmal level of service and completely inefficient processing of the customer queue.

I was invited to a business lunch at Cote, so not my choice. However, I was pleasantly surprised by what a lovely restaurant Cote is. The staff were also lovely. Attentive, informed and they certainly added to the lovely experience. The best thing about Cote was the food. An extensive menu was presented and the food was simply delicious!. Well cooked, beautifully presented and very tasty. In summary, another great place to eat in Cambridge added to my list.
