Ameanah's Dining And Functions in Carmarthenshire

Just had their Sunday buffet, fantastic food, huge choice and they even cooked up a mushroom special for my vegetarian wife. Love the staff in there and we treated ourselves to tickets for their tribute act show in March.

Loved the food from here many times, however the last couple of experiences have been disappointing. Meals just seem to be rushed and incomplete. The last couple of deliveries have been luke warm, yet overcooked, dry and almost too rich. Maybe it's just my taste changing, but I think I may have to try elsewhere for a while.

Just turned up on a Thursday night and the staff sorted us out with a table even though they were busy. The guys were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you the food was great and not really that expensive so a good night overall. Thanks.

Just had a takeaway tonight, very disappointed. Just under £50 and it was as good as something I could get from Tesco for £15!:( Recently been to Dublin and had a taste of sourthen Indian cuisine, authentic cooking and you're way off the mark. Embarrassing poor to be honest. I can cook better myself with a recipe from bbc. The chutney pots were half filled, tight. The chicken dishes were frankly bland. Won't be ordering in near future :(

Ordered online and made a mistake with the ordering. Phoned the restaurant and explained what had happened, and they rectified the error with no question. The meal arrived well on time, and once again, everything was perfect. Really cannot praise this restaurant enough, food is always hot and full of flavour. Definitely the best Indian food in the area!

Having finally found out that this place delivers and has a dedicated app, I decided to treat myself with a takeaway. I ordered a shaami kebab starter, Lamb Saag, keema naan and keema rice. The kebab was delicious, with just the right amount of spices and flavour, and the Lamb Saag was really good, with plenty if Lamb, which was cooked perfectly, and the saag sauce was again just right. The keema rice was sensational, cooked to perfection and not dry at all. The naan was tasty and hit on delivery. Also had a little salad, some onion garnish and rasty mint yoghurt. Most definitely the best indian Takeaway in Ammanford, and will order again soon.

After an issue with our last takeaway, Ameanahs went above and beyond and the communication with them was fantastic. Had another takeaway this evening and the food was gorgeous, could not fault it. I highly recommend this venue. Staff very friendly and helpful too.

Good value a friendly initial welcome but generally bland food, underwhelming vegetarian options and slow overall service.

We attended the "Jersey Boys" tribute night by the "Voicetones" in the function room above the restaurant 07/07/23. what an absolutely fantastic night we had, the music was fabulous, food was excellent and loads of it. they even prepared a special dish for my wife who is vegetarian. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going back as soon as possible .

Food arrived 45 minutes late. When we dished the food out we were missing two meals. All the nan breads were burnt and the chicken was dry. Phoned to inform them of this and they were not able to replace our missing and inedible food for 30 minutes as they were busy. Basically admitting that as they were busy the quality of the food suffered. Member of staff we spoke to questioned this by saying he witnessed the food being packaged away and it was all fine. We can confirm the food was terrible. They also then refused to push our missing food to the front of the queue as there were other orders to process despite us missing two meals. Also missing several sauces to go with meals. We also ordered online with the promise of 10% off which was not applied. Overall the food was terrible and customer service was worse. There are plenty of better Indian restaurants available in Ammanford.

Very unusual vindaloo...dark red, like a tikka, no potato and tasted like it had an oxo cube among the ingredients, really strange taste, nothing like any vindaloo I have tasted before. Not unpleasant, just really odd. The rest of the meal was pretty normal.

I have been for a meal in the week & have always been satisfied by the food & service. I thought I’d try out their bottomless brunch tonight & it didn’t disappoint. I’ve passed this restaurant so many times and have wanted to try it. Finally, I did and it was definitely worth the visit. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. You could never leave this restaurant feeling hungry or disappointed. I had kochi murgh, which I can highly recommend. Everyone I was with enjoyed their food too. I can’t wait for the next visit.They currently have a half price on mains on Wednesday.They do takeaway too, if you don’t want to sit in.Parking in the evening is free and the restaurant is opposite the main car park in Ammanford.

I'm a regular diner of Indian cuisine, and I can happily say that this is the best Indian I've experienced in the UK! All vegetarian dishes ordered had beautiful unique flavours, the staff were so friendly and attended to all my annoying questions and dietary requirements. Can't wait to visit again soon. My two friends and I just went here for our annual Christmas curry and we loved it. The food was delicious, service was excellent and the decor inside is very warming. At the end we had a great chat with the owner (Teerth/Teej - sorry I didn’t fully catch the name) who was really friendly and also very funny. Visited tonight with my husband and can honestly say 5 star service. We had a warm welcome off the staff. We were shown straight to our table and were asked our drink order soon after. Three of us visited on 24th September and were impressed with the standard of décor and furniture etc. The staff were friendly and courteous. However all of the dishes were extremely over salted to the point that we had to mention it to our waiter. By then, we had almost finished as it took a while for us all to realise what was wrong!He told the chef who apparently agreed after tasting some of the sauce! The disappointment was that we were offered no more than an apology and no discount at all!

Went to Ameanah's for a birthday dinner with friends. The staff were very welcoming and eager to please - and I'd love to give a 5* rating for this reason, however the young girl who was one of our servers had obviously received no training at all. She was warm and friendly and very responsive to our requests and the lack of training was not her fault. The food was good (Korma and Mango chicken dish were too sweet for my taste) but all the other dishes were great. We'll definitely come again as the staff are just so friendly and we enjoyed our visit.

We visited the restaurant whilst on holiday in Wales. Must say, the service was fantastic - the waiter was kind enough to walk us through most of the dishes on the menu and offer his personal recommendations. The food was brought out quite quickly and really was delicious. Highly recommend!

If you’re ever looking to eat at an Indian restaurant, Ameanah’s is THE place to go. The food was delicious, portion sizes were great, and the service exceeded my expectations. The waiters/waitresses were kind and helpful. Assured my gran that if she needed support with anything, who struggles to walk, then we would need to inform them kindly. They were always at everyone’s presence to ensure everyone has a pleasant experience. Special thanks to the owner and waiters/waitresses for being so welcoming, and thank you to the chefs for the lovely food. Highly recommend! Fab time for our family get together this evening for my husband’s birthday. The prawn starter was amazing! Chicken tikka was delicious. Just had a vegetable jalfrezi takeaway from here. Very disappointed not spicey few peppers and had broccoli and cauliflower in it. Didn't recognise it as jalfrezi at all. Collected a menu with the meal, binned the menu as I won't be going there again.

We had the best food, amazing naan bread, excellent choice of drinks and coffee. We met up with friends, the first time for 18 months so had so much to catch up on and the staff were so accommodating. We sat there for hours after finishing the food which we shouldn't have done but the staff were so friendly, smiling, chatting and said they were happy for us to be there chatting. We booked with Ameanha's for a recent function being held in Swansea as the restaurant came highly recommended. Having discussed our needs with Riffat and her husband Tee we settled on a two course menu with a vegetarian option and a fish alternative. Organising a function like this is challenging at the best of times but under the current Covid restrictions I was concerned this would be even more difficult. I needn't have worried. From the outset Riffat and her team were professional, patient and supportive. It seemed nothing was too much trouble and the food was delivered on time, piping hot and kept warm in the specialist equipment they provided. We had one guest with specific dietary needs and he was catered for and reassured his concerns were taken seriously and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. The food was delicious and I have only received positive feedback from all the guests who attended. The quality and value for money surpassed our expectations and was simply exceptional. I would highly recommend Ameanha's for any external catering needs in future and won't hesitate to use them again. Despite living some distance away, I look forward to visiting the restaurant in future as food like this is worth traveling for.

Fabulous place, great decor, food and service. The Rezala is definitely worth a look. Beautiful presentation on all the dishes we ordered.Its laid out with tables in booths, so distancing not an issue. Bar service was nice and slick throughout, which was a plus point. Nice toilets too. You can tell a lot about a place from the loos I'd definitely go back next time we're down.

Quite simply the best Indian meal I have ever had, and I am 60 years old and have travelled the world! A warm welcome, delightful decor, comfortable seating, superb service, and the food - wow! When the bill came, I was equally impressed. Thoroughly, thoroughly recommended.

Just one word amazing!!The quality is second to none. The portions are so generous neither me or my partner could finish all our dishes. We braved to try a new dish and my word so glad we did. Last minute decided to go for a meal and was throughly impressed! Great service from Naz and i was pleasantly surprised by the other server who recommended a stunning dish! Did not disappoint!

Was recommended to here by the place we were staying.Was greeted at at the door by the owner. Lovely friendly atmosphere inside. We had a Sunday set menu. The fChoice was large and varied. The food itself was superb. Tons of flavour and good portion size. The blend of spices was excellent and each dish had a real depth of flavour. Highly recommended and will certainly call again when in the area.

We love the food here-it is so tasty with an excellent choice on the menu. Service is always good. You can park in the public car park opposite which is very handy. The decor is also lovely, with velvet plush seating.

Amazing food, the starters, mains and sides were lovely, they even cooked a chapati fresh for us when it wasn’t even on the menu. Great modern environment, friendly staff and nice clean fresh cobra on draught.

Fabulous flavours and high quality curry with excellent service. All of our choices were cooked really well. The spacing and hygiene considerations followed regulations without impacting on the positive experience.

My partner and I went for a lovely evening out. The food was delicious, and we normally eat quite a lot, but we could only eat about half and the rest we had for food the following evening at home. When the bill came, I couldn't believe how reasonable it was for everything we had! There was a lady and gentleman who served us that night and they were absolutely lovely, so friendly and really wanting to look after everyone. It was my partner's first time there and he said it's his new favourite place and we've been telling our friends and family about it. Looking forward to going back soon!
