Please Amaretto ask Just Eat to set up your menu properly: they can do all this if you ask them! You describe Polla alla milanese as chicken in breadcrumbs with spaghetti bolognese or napoli but there is no option to choose. It turned up with no spaghetti at all. The menu says all meat & fish dishes come with a free veg dish but when you choose the main dish it hasn't been set up to prompt for a choice of veg, so you confuse and put off customers.

That was the best choice which I ever had on this app. I’m really happy and for sure I will order again from them. Especially pizza is like a piece of heaven, exactly how should be made. That was a proper taste of Italy . Thanks a lot

For an expensive Italian restaurant, the experience was disappointing. Bella Italia, Prezzo, and Pizza Express are far superior to Amaretto. The ingredients were of poor quality, and the food was well below average. When we informed the waitress about our dissatisfaction, her response was, "That's how we do it here." Needless to say, we won't be coming back!

I come here regularly with my children, I’m a single parent and they always make a fuss of the children and make us feel so welcome. Lovely food and great ambience. A really homely place with authentic food the staff really do make the place what it is. I look forward to returning soon 🙂

We, my wife and I were at a wits end to find a supper to make. So we chose 1 of our favourite restaurants, one in Edgware to deliver. The menu was extensive as expected so that was a problem for starters, excuse the pun! We made our choices but in our excitement we ordered it for 8.30pm instead of 18.30! Realising our mistake I phoned in at 18.20 to change it to ASAP. Delivery was fantastic. It arrived at 19.15 in very short time, which was amazing! More importantly the dishes were exquisite and we have enough for tomorrow evening. We shall always recommend it again. Gordon L.

Ordered a pizza, absolutely terrible above the base it was just like a soup, would not even stay on the pizza base so you could eat it

Fantastic still the best pizza in the area

I ordered a pizza which came through at a reasonable value for the size and quality. The salad was very large, though very disappointing; one might assume it would match the photos on the website (with dark greens and balsamic vinaigrette), however this was mostly limp and pale rocket, and cheap nutrition-less iceberg-type lettuce that probably came from some big supplier, topped with some sort of cheap ranch or other fatty dressing. The worst was that the ordering service seemingly hadn't conveyed any of my asks I'd made at checkout to the driver so he arrived with the wrong change and notifying us in a different way than requested - this made him irritated (though he handled it some maturely) and asking me to answer by his way *shrugs shoulders*. It was a few minutes later than scheduled.

Went lunch time. Very quiet, no atmosphere, no music. Service not attentive. Expensive for what we ate. Salads.

The food was delicious. When we ordered our main meal the waitress said “ you can have 2 side orders “. We took that to mean, 2 each. So we ordered two veg each. When the bill came we were charged for two each. BUT THE MENU SAYS “ main course includes one side “. My friend would only have asked for spinach and I would have taken broccoli. But as the waitress said , you can have two. We did. She should have said one each. Now I feel we were ripped off.

Really nice. Could have done with the prawn tail shell being removed as they are in a sauce but was still extremely nice.

Ameretto is situated in the centre of Edgware. The food is very good with generous portions. (See photos). Service is good and polite.

Regularly eat here with friends. The food is authentically Italian and always of a very high standard, served promptly and hot except the salads which are at their appropriate temperature :-). The serving staff are attentive and get the orders right. Good value for money. One of he best Tiramisu for miles around.

The veal escalope was like a scraggy bit of meat and smelt terrible. They also gave me spaghetti bolognaise when I wanted spaghetti Neapolitan. Not worth money. Last time great this time terrible

Good size portion the chocolate cake seemed a little dry , but otherwise really good.

Overall my food was quite good and I was satisfied. My favourite dish, saltimbocca alla romana was tasty although I must say that the calamari fritti, french fries and deep fried courgettes did not travel as well as I'd hoped. They were a little soggy with no crunch whatsoever. My wife enjoyed her bruschetta but again the bread was soggy. I think folding over the corner of the containers to let the steam escape would've been a good idea. I've eaten in many times before and have never been disappointed and would definitely recommend visiting.

Soup SWIMMING in oil! It was as if the beans and pasta was literally cooked in oil not water. So bizarre (wish I could attach a photo). It went straight to the bin, as it was simply inedible. :( Last time I ordered was the same, I thought it was a one-time mess-up but obviously not. Not ordering again.

Pizza is great, but Mozzarella in Carrazzo is not good. It has a fish smell, not sure if it is fried in the same oil as with other non-veg items. We are vegetarians and couldn’t eat it.

Friends went to celebrate birthday and we all our were impressed by the quality of food, ambiance and service. The portions were of good size and reasonably priced. We all were vegetarian and good choice of food.

The food had tasted good, but the rice with seafood wasnt great, my husband had 3 bites and almost broke his teeth because the seafood was having shells, and some shells were broken and little tiny pieces were broken in the food. I wont order again, as the seafood should have been without shells, like other restaurants do this dish. Thanks

Food was absolutely beautiful, tasty and flavourful. The portions were very generous and definitely satisfying! The order was early too, and there were no issues with the order or delivery. Really really lovely food, thoroughly enjoyed!!

Ordered pizzas at 8.30pm for a surprise bday get together for my husband and his friends who were turning up at 8pm. Pizza arrived at 7.45pm so completely ruined the surprise as his friends hadn’t yet arrived. When the pizzas returned, the Quattro formaggio was so sloppy that most of the contents had slid off the pizza. I took a picture but can’t seem to upload. Requested a refund for this item. We are big fans of Amaretto usually. However on this occasion it was disappointing and although I told the restaurant how it had ruined the surprise by coming 45 mins early, but there was no offer to make up for this in any way.

I am a regular customer.. but the last times the food is too saulty! I am thinking if i am gonna order again..! It’s sad, it used to be my favourite restaurant :(

Went here today based on a friends rave reviews. However the garlic bread bland no garlic and was ulta thin covered in a watery tomato sauce. The pasta ravoli was chewy and soon became boring to eat after a few moutfulls. Limited sauce with this dish. The carbonara was very liauid like which didnt taste like carbonara should. We know what italian dishes should be like as we have tasted better in other restaurants in london and abroad. Even the fries should have been cooked for longer. Will not be returning.

Always love amaretto, been using them for years and never had a problem. Generous portions. Always hot and tasty. Tonight I ordered calamari and it tasted lovely but it was a bit greasy and soggy I could only eat a few, a little disappointed.

Great starters which were v fresh(bruschetta/grilled veg/insalata tricolore ), above average pizzas (Inferno, Etna), garlic bread pizza not the best. The fried egg on the Etna pizza didn’t quite work, pls see Pizza Express Fiorentina for how it should be done.

Never had a bad meal from amaretto. Always hot and generous portions and tastes amazing. One of the best Italians in the area for sure!

My pre order delivered too early and it was already cold when my parents had eaten it. Supposed to be 1:45 but came at 1pm. The delivery guy said there's no message or notes on his mobile. Was so upset and disappointed. The spaghetti carbonara was very dry too and only had few pieces of ham.

We were a party of 4 and visited last night. Very impressed by the overall cleanliness and further the automatic sanitiser at the front door was impressive. Great service and we all had huge portions served hot and nicely presented. The staff were great and this is by far our favourite local Italian.

Ordered the other week and no food came, they blamed thier website. Booked again and guess what blamed their website. I guess yku could say dont use the website, but I just wont use this place again

Very busy Italian place. Food good. Service started well but by the end got slower as they were getting busier & not enough staff I think. Overall good restaurant & food.

Just posted a review from last year (as I forgot) and have just recently visited today. Just to say nothing has changed: they are still an outstanding restaurant. Good, honest Italian food with fun, thoughtful and considerate service. We did have an issue, which the staff went to all efforts to resolve, and resolve they did. Can’t recommend it highly enough! ( Covid Secure too).

On the Just Eat app, they deliver from 17:00 onwards. I wait and wait and wait till 17:50 as that was the latest delivery time. I then call the restaurant and then they say that they only deliver from 18:00 onwards. I then call up Just Eat who tried hard to get through to them as it was over an hour since I had placed the order. They didn't manage to get through. I then called the restaurant and said that it was their responsibility to change their delivery timings on the app as it misleads the customer. Now it is 18:20 and I call again as I STILL hadn't received my order, and they said it's on the way. Really pathetic service and customer care. Not only was my food cold when it had arrived but the service over the phone was very, very unhelpful.

The best local italian in north west london! We come every week and the owner and staff are always so warm and welcoming. Pollo alla Milanese is a must! Portions are good and it’s great value. It’s always our go to for a good quality italian meal!

I never witness more disgusting behaviour from staff members working over there. Two males been treating me just like an sexual object while my husband went to toilet, continuesly giving me disgusting looks and im general made me feel extremelly uncomfortable. Restaurant was not even busy and our food came to our table after almost 50 minutes waiting. I ask for parmesan cheese for my pasta, the tall male bring it over and being whispering in my ear ,,would u like more darling". Me and my husband reach the point when we had enough, as this behaviour is absolutelly disgusting and unacceptable, we didnt touch our food, stand up and walk out. Im not willing to step into this place ever in my life.

Have been eating at Amaretto for years, so I’m delighted that lockdown hasn’t wiped them out, and we can get their delicious food delivered at home.

Always great food. Delivered 40 mins before expected. Impressive but make sure you are ready earlier than anticipated.

The pizza was the only food which was not enjoyed, it was oily, tasteless and had not enough meat, the desserts and carbonara were delicious 👍🏾

Very tasty pizza, and the melon and ham was nice and fresh. The limoncello came in a proper glass flute! Brilliant!

Chocolate fudge cake was stale and could taste that the cake had been refrigerated for a long period of time by the crumb of the cake and the rice icing wasnt impressed at all threw the whole slice away utterly upset. Called to complain no answer.

It never came there was no food outside

We ordered around 7.20 and were advised it would be here at 8.15. At 8.30 I called the restaurant who appeared not to know anything about my order. Eventually they appeared to “find” it and said sorry it will be with you in half an hour! At 9.05pm I called again and was asked if I could collect it in which case it would be ready in 5 minutes otherwise it would take 15 minutes. I pointed out that I hadn’t ordered a delivery two hours earlier in order to collect it. The food finally arrived just after 9.20 my veal was over cooked and the sauté potatoes too salty to eat. One carbonara was dried out and had no sauce at all, the other was ok but not very hot. The pizza was edible but not much else to recommend it. Overall a dreadful experience and we would expect a refund at the very least. An apology wouldn’t go amiss either!

Lovely food and lovely service- Decor not much but it did not matter as I was with two friends but if I was looking a romantic venue this would not be the place. But it was food I came for and the portions were huge and tasty and very good. The service was a very good. All in all a great place.

We used to eat in or order Amaretto regularly and used to enjoy the food. Recently it has gone way downhill. The food tastes off to me. I want to support local businesses but every time we have ordered we have been disappointed. Such a shame as we were very loyal customers in the past and I used to recommend them. I cannot do that anymore. Big disappointment.

Without doubt, this is my favourite Italian! Outstanding, authentic Italian food cooked with love, great service and excellent ambience. Can’t recommend it enough! Superb starters, pizza and pasta. Especially liked the al ferno aspect of the food, piping hot from a wood-fire oven. Go and enjoy!

We've been to Amaretto in Edgware a few times before, but I have to say that our visit on Saturday night surpassed all our previous visits. The food was plentiful and delicious, and although the 3 of us ordered completely different meals, we were all very, very pleased with the food, the service and the price. Well done Amaretto, we will definitely be coming back to visit you again. You really do know how to run a successful restaurant - may your success continue for a long time to come!

A last minute booking at Amaretto Edgware proved a fabulous choice. An evening out with friends was made more enjoyable by the excellence of the food, service and atmosphere in this restaurant. The staff were most welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much. Value for money, most definitely. Will we return, most definitely. Will we recommend this restaurant, most definitely.

We recently visited this restaurant for a "quick bite" and we thought why not try a local pizza/Italian restaurant?. Firstly the staff were very polite and tge service was very good.Secondly, the food was amazing! We ordered pizza and we did not regret itThank you!

Great service and the food was good. We had the americana pizza with extra toppings with of course a bottle of red wine. Price was great, we cant wait to go back again.

We ate here from the fixed price menu of £12.95 per head. For this price we had soup to start with and lasagne to follow. The front of house was very welcoming and the service was good. I usually enjoy Italian food and this was no exception. I'd be happy to return next time I am in Edgware.

I have been to this restaurant with friends several times and it it cannot be faulted. The staff are cheerful and friendly, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is very pleasant.

Had the grilled veg for my starter and was very disappoiinted. It is served col (would be much better served hot) and consisted of a couple of slices of courgettes and a couple of sliced of aubergine. That was all I could est because the only other veg was very hard carrot slices which I found inedible. Made up for it with the spag bol (very tasty) and a huge portion of choc fudge cake (very, very nice).It is a good restaurant but £5.90 for a couple of cold grilled veg is ridiculously dear. Also I was expecting grilled peppers or grilled onion (much nicer)!

£12.95 menu for a starter and main (pizza or pasta) is really worthwhile.
