I went there for the music that's on Friday evenings at 7-9pm (but I gather that in Aug there's usually a break from the music being on). The café is much smaller than it used to be, as it's been altered – very cosy & friendly & they do their best to buy-in in what drinks you'd like to have. (I didn't eat there as I have to keep to diet free from gluten, soya & dairy, which I don't expect places to be able to cater for unless they're huge.) The music's not amplified, so it's not too loud & the audience are used to keeping quiet while songs are being sung & just talking briefly in-between songs & a bit longer in the interval. The room's acoustics are wonderful. Also the ladies' loos are very nice.

We went to the near-Christmas musical evening, December 2018. There was a buffet that was £6/head & the usual food wasn't on at all (or at least the staff thought it wasn't on, weren't sure, then didn't offer anything off the menu). Nothing appeared to be vegetarian or gluten-free in the buffet (apart from slices of tomato or cucumber). Disappointing doesn't begin to cover it. There was live music but that doesn't excuse the sudden lack of usual menu. Sells alcohol in bottles, at least that was reasonably priced & was still available.

During the Xmas hustle and bustle this café was a quiet corner of peace and contentment. Plenty of room, a good view over the village square and nice, smiling friendly staff. Nice to have a place that seems like a secret hideaway in the middle of a busy high street. Had a coffee and the Irish Stew, both full of taste and serve in a relaxed surrounding. Well done to the staff.

Family run cafe with some delicious home made cakes on offer and a wealth of yummy dishes. Very pleasant ambience, very welcoming to families and children. In a quiet square off the busy street giving it a peaceful air and outdoor seating. Hosts a Wednesday afternoon Spanish club.

Best tapas I’ve had outside of Spain (and better than most I’ve had in there too!). Delicious dishes in a fantastic setting. We had the pleasure of sitting on the high tapas style bars in the window o

Bought the Wowcher and half the drinks were not available that were advertised, the food is simply Iceland frozen 💩 and when bought out did not fit the description on the menu. There is only 1 toilet
