Have enjoyed many meals here at various times of the day and have always enjoyed tasty food and friendly service. I’m really surprised to read the negative reviews on here as I have never had a bad experience. There are some great choices on the menu that change seasonally and the place has a homely relaxing feel to it. It’s not fine dining, just nice food served with a smile. I would recommend giving this place a try to see for yourself ☺️

We had terrible service!! Went for a Baby shower. The service was terrible sat for 3/4 of an hour before anyone spoke to us to tell us we ordered at the bar!! Drinks took forever to be served.. No smiles or interaction at all .. a miserable bunch !! Our meal arrived.. nobody came over & asked if everything was fine!! Food was not overly exciting & over priced for what they served.. All in all a waste of money!! Good job we knew how to make conversation..

Blinkered Staff. This is an experience to be missed! Go in and wait to be seated. Eventually, someone seats us and tells us to order at the bar. 4 of us and only 3 menus! Phone out to note drinks order, followed by the food order and head for the bar. No customers at the bar, yet 3 staff members totally ignore me and then 2 or more breeze through without any eye contact or simply 'be with you in a minute'. Ignored we left and headed into the square and went to The Auction House, and what a difference. The Auction House greeted us immediately, and we were seated with a smile, and can I get you a drink? Food was simply amazing.....so thank you, Alfredo Lounge, for the forced introduction...... at least we know where we will not be going again....

It's a bit hit and miss with the food. I've had lounge eggs Benedict before and that was nice. This particular time I had chicken, bacon on a brioche bun. The chips had been left to go cold and rewarmed so were very crispy and salty. Definitely inedible. The brioche bun was dry and so was the chicken. The bacon was too hard to cut up as for the avocado there were 3 thin slithers! I did mention this to the lady staff member and her reply was ... I'm not the first to complain today. Wow!

Came here twice recently, both on Sundays. The first visit wasn't as busy as the second. The first visit I would have given 5/5 friendly staff, clean, good vibes, and tasty food. The second visit was busier we were told 45 minutes for food which was fine. But we were waiting over an hour and the food came out at very different times to our friends. This meant we were all eating at separate times and I saw the table next to us had the same issue. We took a seat on a dirty table, but they never got round to cleaning it. Overall though this place is child friendly and I like its quirky vibe. I would come again as a couple but not as a group.

Not al all impressed. Won’t be going back . Crammed into small table not big enough for 6. Layout of tables? changed due to bigger party but still plenty space around the room. but layout meant 3 of our party restricted to getting in / out. Bad considering no table service. Staff not that helpful on entry told table in corner , no chat to ask have you been before etc or about how their system works. Asked for table to be cleared ready for desserts that we had ordered, staff took some away but then didn't return to clear the rest and no conversation at all- not even a smile. I could go on and on but it was crowded so lastly would have expected much better. Love Louth area to visit but will stay with the ones we like favourite being the Greyhound.

Staff were lovely and friendly, food was delicious and arrived promptly, decor is unique and v interesting to look at. Will be back for the cocktails next time!

Having loved Eve and Ranshaw all our lives we went to see what had happened to the once beautiful store. Its been turned into another chain fast food cafe. It was a busy Saturday and we were shown upstairs. The decor is eclectic and could be lovely - but some of the pictures were askew and there was a general lack of care. None more so in the toilets. All the seats were wonky and they were unkempt. There wasn't a menu, just a QR code to order from and the first thing we noticed when ordering and completing the payment was the request for a 10%, 15% or 20% tip! Paying for food before you eat it is just about understandable but not a pre-payment tip! The drinks arrived promptly. No glass for the beer, and the elderflower drink (at nearly £4) was just a glass full of ice with a slug of cordial at the bottom and a dash of soda water. The food, two flatbreads, alas didn't arrive until I went to find a staff member 30 minutes later. The toppings were nice, the flatbreads tough and not good value for money. The music, muted when we arrived, was later turned up very loud, why? the staff were pleasant but it wasn't obvious who were staff and who were customers. The introduction of bistro type aprons perhaps for staff? Would have been more hygienic too. All in all the whole place showed a lack of management from which all good service stems. What a shame.

We stopped here for a drink while visiting a friend in the area. Not having been here the last time we came to Louth, this was a nice addition to the town centre. Plenty of tables, both on the ground and first floors, we soon found a seat and were ordering drinks. Brought to the table by friendly waitress, it is a nice location for food, drinks or both. 

I’ve been to Alfredo’s a couple of times - with friends and with family and it hasn’t disappointed. Delicious food, lovely & attentive staff and a really welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend

Obviously have staffing problems as took about 15 minutes to sort out a basic Order for 3 people and a lot of empty tables which hadn’t been cleaned. Dogs in a restaurant No thanks , oh and nearly £6 for a small fresh orange and lemonade with half the glass full of ice. Won’t be back that’s for sure

Great atmosphere at Alfredos with really enjoyable food and lovely staff. Would highly recommend visiting with friends or family.

First time trying this place since it opened decor was nice enough welcomed by a friendly chap when coming through the door we went upstairs to sit we ordered drinks off the app took a absolute age to come then served by possibly the most miserable waitress who basically threw them on the table. Then decided after looking over the menu to order some lunch ordered 2 ciabatta and chips off the app again just under £25 again took ages to come served with no knapkins no cutlery and again a person who seemed to absolutely hate doing there job. We ate and left without cutlery or knapkins the whole time. The food was expensive for what it was wouldn't rate it for the money at all had better from Greggs. Service is better from there as well. We won't be back which is a shame ill be very surprised if the place stays open. Listening to tables close by no one was impressed

I ordered the big breakfast and got the smallest plate and smallest serving. Only smoked bacon which I hate!! Left out beans. Toast was a tiny bit of bread, was warm not hot, coffee cappuccino and latte was the worst ever not drunk, no reimbursement at all. Definitely overpriced for a load of rubbish , will never go back !!! Avoid if you have any sense !

Waited ages for drinks to arrive. Had to send one back as it wasn’t zero coke cola as ordered. Staff are not efficient. You can’t tell really who the staff are as should where smarter clothing that’s all the same. The mains were ok. On ordering chocolate and raspberry torte at £4 20 I got a slither about 2cm wide and very craggy and wouldn’t recommend. Out of 3 toilets all seats lose and moving around waiting for an accident to happen. Two toilets no toilet paper. Complained to management. She said she tightens them every morning but obviously that’s not working.

Visited today for morning coffee. It was served in a cracked cup. Looked like a drip to start with. Was thirsty, so I drank it up. Spoke to staff at the counter but received an unhelpful response. Mentioned the toilet seats, which have been faulty for months. Again, I received a disinterested response. Prices are up and service questionable. Room for improvement, I think.

Local to area and our first visit as a couple with a friend since Cafe opened. Ordered Orange juice, Tea & Coffee. Asked for Coffee to be strong and extra hot when ordered (Coffee arrived just warm and had to be sent back) then waited quite a while for my next Coffee to arrive. Hotter on second attempt but very weak. Also ordered two toasted Tea cakes with butter and Jam. Both tea cakes turned up burnt. And only Butter (No Jam) so had to call a waitress over yet again to say the Jam was missing and by the time the jam turned up we had eaten most of the Tea cakes. Husband ordered Hot Choc Fudge with Icecream and he waited ages for it to arrive so called over one of the staff yet again only to be told my Husband had ordered a sweet and that would be delivered to our table once us two ladies had eaten our Tea cakes because it was classed as a sweet. How ridiculous. Well that was our first visit and sadly will be our last. And please put brighter light bulbs in the ladies toilets. Us oldies cant see at the best of times I needed a torch to see what I was doing.

Visited for breakfast whilst in Louth for the morning we are so glad we did! We’ll definitely return at some point as the food was fantastic and the Iced Latte was “the nicest iced coffee I’ve ever had” according to the wife. We visited with our 1 year old and the attention to detail for catering to little ones was amazing. Great selection of food for kids, fresh water station and plastic cutlery made our visit with him so much easier. Thank you to all - we will be back!

I came from Alford with my mum for breakfast/lunch at the start of last week. Best lunch ive ever had, food was delicious but pricey but for what i got, worth it. The service i recieved was excellent, i couldnt catch the lady's name who served but from speaking to staff before we left i learnt her name was Izzy. She treated us with the upmost respect and made sure we was alright the entire time, treated us like royalty, she made the best coffees too. Nothing but smiles and manners. Just a pleasent expericance, if anything will be coming back to see and thank izzy, she made us have a amazing day!

I hadn't received my order after 55 minutes with no communication. I asked for an update as to what was going on but didn't get any update, eventually I had to leave without getting my order because of appointment. A very reluctant apology with no explanation. Abysmal service.

Went today for the first time to have a special lunch with my daughter who is home from university. Decor and atmosphere are great. Menu extensive. Unfortunately the service was appalling. Drinks were good. Daughters meal arrived my meal arrived 10 minutes later and I was told it was lamb when it clearly was falafel. My chips I passed on the stairs when going down to complain and ask for my money back. The staff did refund me for the whole meal, after a long ‘discussion’, which I commend them for, but they failed to realise how not receiving your meals at the same time and incorrect food ruined a precious lunch. All in all the experience was very poor.

Thought we'd give it ago while shopping in Louth .. impressive first impression decor was fantastic ..Full down stairs not a problem ..was asked to go upstairs ..not shown to a table just help yourself attitude ..Good choice on menu though a little expensive but thought oh well it's a treat ..so ordered to breakfasts and two teas ..but had to go back downstairs to order I think at prices it should be waitress service as both my self and partner have dodgy knees and hips ..then back up the stairs again ..tea arrived pretty quick and was nice but one cup had a tea stain rim and one milk pot was dirty ..Breakfast arrived ..nicely placed and a treat to the eye ..All delish apart from bacon on my plate which was so over cooled and hard I could hardly cut with a knife ..now this may sound a bad review but it could well be just as its a new business and new staff and just needs tweeking here and there.i will definitely return as all in all a great place to go

I feel I should revise my previous review. We have been numerous times to Alfredo lounge louth and taken friends there and never felt the need to put a negative comment about them, but my experience today makes me feel that I should express how i feel this place needs a rethink on the management. I have a 7 lb chihuahua who does not sit of other peoples furniture but sits calmly on my coat and watches the world go by. Today I presume to be the manager (never seen him before) came up and informed us that the dog cannot be on the furniture, I did point out to him actually he was sat on an extremely expensive coat. We finished our food, my husband sat the dog on his knee to put the dogs coat on, another staff member came over to complaine that the dog was on his knee we explained that we had been there numerous times and never been moaned at so much. We were clear that due to their attitude we won't be back. Even the normally happy regular staff appeared subdude. When we first entered we were surprised how empty the place appeared, as we were leaving it made sense why the place was nearly empty. Advice to the CO of this company, watch which people you appoint as manager, even the food didn't appear as good as normal. This is my last visit to alfredo's.

We had a wait of 3/4 of an hour this was lunch time , after the long wait the food arrived cold , we where so hunger that we couldn't wait any longer to eat . When we where asked if ever thing was ok we said no the food was cold after we waited a long time to get it . She an apology and walked away. I did tell her that we will not be coming back again to this place that's for sure . We have been before and it was the same cold food so be careful when you go to this place . On Safety waiters running around the place were food is and up and down the stairs , the place is run by teen that don't care about serves at all .

We are so disappointed to say that this isn't somewhere we will visit again. The food on offer was expensive for what it was and not warm enough. The drinks were also expensive. The menu selection was limited and unimaginative - it seemed to be heavily reliant upon the same selections of meat/poultry served in a variety of sauces - we could have stayed at home and bought a packet of curry sauce to pour over leftovers and enjoyed it more! The staff looked scruffy and weren't very well organised/trained - probably not their fault though! We could understand the idea behind the decorative theme of the premises but we found it poorly done, dull and almost scruffy looking. It did nothing to lift our sprits on a dull and wet day. It is also very noisy - especially downstairs. Sadly, we don't believe it has done justice to either the history of the premises or it's location. It is just another fast food premises in our increasingly failing high streets.

Being a new offering in town I thought we would give it a try. Staff: Plenty of team there and the young lady who served us was magnificent. She was welcoming, attentive, and wonderful with my little boy. Out of everywhere I went that night she really stood out. Venue: Visually stunning with a nice warm homely feel, very clean and presentable. A really nice location. Drinks: Lots on offer and caters for everyone. No complaints here. Prices I think were a tad steep. 2 pints of lager you’re looking at £11 on average. Food: This is the only let down. My food was aggressively medium in the scale of good to bad and wasn’t value for money at all. Whilst there was quite a lot of variety and no issues with any of the meals we had, I just couldn’t get over the price. There are other local businesses who for the same price offer food that far surpasses that of the Alfredo Lounge. Portion sizes were a little small aswell. Price: As noted, it’s a little on the higher side. All in all the team member who served us stole the show, she was amazing, but for what you get for what you pay I probably won’t return.

First time here all clean and tidy all 4 of us opted for something different and have to say the best meal was the breakfast one of the guests had soup which was cheese and onion [not good] and in a mug and powdery at bottom so presume like a cup o soup over priced what what it is and over loaded with chillis would not return far nice places around

First time visitor and was very impressed. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and food was top notch - tasty and freshly prepared. I imagine that some of the Louth population might find it a bit ‘trendy’ for them , hence a few negative reviews but it was very busy on a random Tuesday in January, which says it all really . Dog friendly, nice reasonably priced food - what’s not to like.

Very busy. Poor soundproofing. Overwhelmingly loud. Not long to order or for food. Ordered burgers which were really lovely and tasty but the fries are awful. Really fatty and hollow so no potato in the middle. Far too greasy. Couldn’t eat them. Served in a tin cup with parchment so actually a measly portion. For £11.50 it needs to be better.

Very good experience. We both ordered flatbread dishes which were served up pretty quickly bearing in mind it was busy. Very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. It was certainly something a bit different from typical pub meals. Very tasty. Colourful and well presented. We really enjoyed our meals. Service could not be faulted - friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Great decor and good atmosphere. For the prices charged it’s a recommendation from us!

Waited over 20 minutes for 2 drinks at a non busy time. Many uncleared tables and despite there being a sign saying please wait to be seated a lady sitting next to the sign working on a laptop struggled to greet us, in fact she...

Sadly our experience at Alfredo’s for lunch was not a happy one. Having waited 20 mins for our drinks to arrive we asked if they would be much longer only to be told we only put our order in 4 mins ago by a snippy waitress. 5 mins later our drinks arrived but it would be another 30 mins before our food order arrived. In total we waited 55 mins from ordering until it arrived. Having accepted an apology for the delay in drinks we felt fobbed off by the excuses for the delay in the food. We were told it took that long for the chef to prepare the type of food we had ordered. Of the 6 tapas that eventually arrived 3 of them were dishes that had required no cooking ( hummus, guacamole, feta whipped cheese). The Pattatas bravas was cooked fresh, the chicken wings and arracini were reheated. The pitta bread was warmed. We were offered a pudding and extra drinks for compensation but really all we wanted was our food prepared and delivered to our table in a reasonable time. The food was lovely; the service was not.

The service was very quick but I was very disappointed with the churros we ordered. The freshly squeezed orange was lovely and the cappuccino was ok. The churros were very bland and fatty. We are used to eating churros due to yearly visits to Spain...

Really enjoyed my meal, Bang Bzlang Chicken. Staff welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Busy at 6pm resulting in a good atmosphere. Service quick . Welcome addition to Louth!

Great customer service, all food in picture served within 15 mins. All food was great and flavourful. Would recommend to family and friend. Also had cocktail, rum pum punch, highly recommend over the Christmas period.

Unsure why there are negative reviews. The food was hot and arrived quickly. The service was excellent. The staff were helpful, polite and welcoming. And best of all they allow dogs in. Would highly recommend

Pre booked the red room perfect intimate size for a family 18th birthday. The staff were brilliant. The food was great and good service. Reasonably priced thoroughly enjoyed it. Special mention to Lizzie who went the extra mile to ensure we had a great evening....

Went in as kids been dying to visit. Found a table and ordered. All arrived in good time. Mixture of tapas and sides with drinks. Food is nice but very small portions especially the fries. My daughters sweet potato fries portion was miniscule. Foods hot...

We try different places for coffee/tea and come to Louth quite a bit. We knew this place had recently opened and the decor looked nice. We went in around 12:30pm and greeted nicely straight away and shown to a table by a window. We sat down, checked the menu and my partner went to order drinks and we wanted something to nibble, so ordered a portion fries. We soon realised the music was quite loud and people were literally shouting at each other, just so they could hear each other. The noise was more like an evening in a bar, than a coffee shop, difficult to hear each other. My cup and saucer and teapot were brought over, the server walked away to get something else. There was something floating in my milk and my cup was stained quite badly from tea. When my partners coffee was brought over, I mentioned to the server that my cup was dirty and my milk had something in it. They were taken away and then the server came back and the new cup still had stains in it. I mentioned it again, but was told they had been in a dishwasher? I didn't want to argue, so used my tea water to clean the stains off. You either need cups that don't stain or a new dishwasher! Then our fries turned up. A metal camping mug, with a cone parchment that reduced the amount they could put in it. Portion size - probably half a potato in the mug for £3.10, but hey, they were nice. Unless things change for the day time, I can't see us going in there again.

We popped in to check this new place out yesterday and ended up having a few drinks and some tapas dishes, which were great. This enticed us back in for a few more drinks and lunch today. Lovely warm welcome, the place looks fantastic and has been renovated to a high standard. Eve & Ranshaw probably hasn’t looked so good for 100 years! Had great food again today. Contrary to a few comments about the staff, we found them cheerful and keen to make sure we were happy with everything. It’s also called Loungers, so we liked the fact the staff fitted into this with their individual style rather than a formal uniform. Hope the people of Louth get behind this place as it has a lot to offer. Good luck

So, my second visit to this new venue was no better than my first visit. My first visit - I popped in on opening day for a “cappuccino” which would’ve been better described as a cup of warm frothy milk. Probably the weakest cappuccino I’ve ever had. My second visit, I opted for poached eggs, salmon, hollandaise sauce on a toasted muffin. And a another cappuccino to test if the my first one was a one off. I ordered and paid from my table using the app. I was annoyed to have to submit personal data to complete the transaction. Just for payment purposes the app stated. However, two hours later I got an email requesting I review my visit. Clearly not just for payment purposes, then! The cappuccino was stronger than my first, but not by much. Certainly nothing special. The toasted muffin and poached eggs were cold. I ate half, and then left very disappointed.

The decor is lovely My order I felt was poor. Burnt toast. Hardly any butter and the poached eggs were barely warm. Music ridiculously loud for a morning So with that and people couldn't talk without shouting. My friends and I bit disappointed.

A new opening from the company behind the Cosy Club restaurant chain in the old Eve & Ranshaw building. Visited for a pre-cinema supper to find a warm welcome, world-ranging menu, and busy restaurant early on a Tuesday (albeit half-term) evening. A Mexican Superbowl and Malaysian Nasi Goreng hit the spot - the latter proving the Ottolenghi addage that there's nothing that can't be improved with a fried egg on top. Some of the younger staff yet to find their confidence in these first few days, but delighted to see and hear that four of the team from the much-missed Auction House are on board. One gripe - orders are taken by app or at the busy downstairs bar only, the former a reminder of soulless restaurants after the first lockdown. Table service would be more personal and relaxing. Will be back for breakfast soon. Hope the Alfredo Lounge and independents can co-exist successfully.

New place in town so went in for a drink,it’s been done well with nice decor but bit of an odd menu,drinks expensive & most of the staff looked scruffy not really impressed so won’t be using again

Came in with my fiancé for a date night really excited to try out the new restaurant in Louth. All good at the beginning, great surroundings and the blonde lady who took my order was so lovely. One thing I hate is strawberry purée but one thing I love is a simple Cosmo, they do a strawberry Cosmo but it’s with purée so I simply asked for it without the purée which is a simple request. However the barman disagreed and continued to be rude about my drink choice and claimed it was “madness” when talking to the rest of his colleagues whilst I was sat right next to the bar hearing everything he said. Whilst I got my refund I’m still appalled that a restaurant so new would have staff who deem it okay to talk badly about customers where they can hear him! We usually love a Loungers but we will be avoiding this one.
