Got the mix grill for £28, was impressed that it came with more than what was advertised. The chicken and Lamb Shsish were cooked perfectly, so it was juicy, soft and not dry like most places. I would come back again. Owner gave a free mango juice to my 2 year old at the end which was a nice touch.

On a trip to London after having spent 7 days in restaurants for lunch and dinner we finally came across this Turkish restaurant and big surprise, it's not expensive, very very good, the dishes and even when it's takeaway it's very generous. The managers are super friendly, the products are fresh...really nothing to complain about, we went back twice because we loved it so much. During our 9 days in London this is our top 1 restaurant and yet we did some near the Sky Garden, Big Ben.... The best will remain this one "at Alex's". Thank you again and hello from France 🇨🇵

The menu says the beer size is a pint, after ordering we received small 330ml beers. the food is not worth the prices. tastes like a £6 kebab. you pay for the interior design there

Really nice find in East Ham, food was fresh and flavoursome. Interior felt upscale and modern nice touches with the lighting. Service was friendly and polite. A bit of a rare gem in the area, would definitely recommend. Extremely good value for the portion sizes.

Popped into Alex’s Place this afternoon and I was definitely not disappointed. I had a falafel wrap and I’m currently thinking would it be greedy of me to get another🫣….it was delicious. Friendly staff, I sat having a great chat with the guys in there. Food was cooked and presented well, you can definitely taste the love in the falafel and hummus. If I’m in the area again I will definitely be back.

I got chance to visit Alex’s Place on Jul 25, 2023. It was late night and I travelled all the way from Germany and Belgium through a coach tour. My family was tired and so I wanted to have good dinner for all of us. By going through reviews I decided to visit Alex’s Place and so walked almost 1 kms with our carryon luggage. When we reached they were out on most of the items. They were planning to close early ( at around 10 PM instead of 11 PM) as they didn’t have too many things to offer. When I explained my situation so that’s when I saw a genuine customer service from them. They opened up the closed dinning area and let us have our food. I also want to have a special mention of their regular customer named Ravi. He just tried to help me calm down. Ravi also talked to the team of Alex and tried to work out possible options for our dinner as we were looking for vegetarian item too. Ravi if you are reading this review then I want to convey big “Thank you “ too you. We enjoyed the “chips “ ( we call it fries 🍟 in Canada) you ordered for us. You will be in my prayers. People like you keep this world alive and fill with positive energy. Now food at Alex’s is awesome. I would say best chicken kabobs and rice I have ever. Quantity is very good and quality is great. Look at the pictures and you would agree with me on a wonderful plating. ❤️❤️ . Seating arrangements is neat and clean. Service was great. I wish them good luck and highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good experience of food at East Hum. It’s worth travelling bit distance if you are in London or near by area.

Wow, what a fantastic Dinner at Alex's Place. Based on my family's recommendation, I went to Alex's place and was very satisfied. I didn't read their (folks) previous feedback online and gave this input based on my experience yesterday. Suppose you choose Alex for a meal or feast or even go to Alex suddenly; in that case, I'm sure you will enjoy everything, including their environment, service, and food. They were very welcoming, and the customer service was incredible. I always recommend Alex's Palace for the best Turkish food in East London, and I have become their regular. My rating would be 5 out of 5 stars. Thanks Alex's Place, for the fantastic meal and services.

Now hear me out...for a kebab place the food and the aesthetics is next level which now makes me rethink other kebabs places. I am not a humus person but the humus here is a cut above the rest. Food portions are really nice!

Why are people praising this place the food was terrible, they made it look ok but the donner was thin and dry almost crunchy which is a shame for Turkish owned business, some times they give bread sometimes they don’t which is inconsistent, the lamachun was so bad I felt like they hired anybody to be the chef, but the elderly waiter had a major attitude problem, rude and no etiquette my friend requested a change instead of taking the plate back to change he brings a container of rice and slaps it on the plate like it’s prison or something, the worst part is they scribble all over the menus with over priced dishes which is shocking because they are not on that level to be charging that much, it felt like them tired out tourist restaurants that sell the menu but you instantly regret stepping in soon as you taste the food.

If there was 6 stars I'd give it. Amazing quality donner and chicken mixed kebab with perfect heat chilli sauce, not to mention the service with a smile and offer if free Turkish tea. Nice one guys 👍👍

Absolutely amazing food and the staff are professional, friendly and really look after you. This place is a hidden gem and is the best Turkish food I've had in my life. I would highly recommend visiting and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere!

Visited couple nights ago for iftar and I must say the quality of food was absolutely awful. I would advise to avoid their platters. It was ridiculously overpriced and the meat was scarce. They charged £65 PER PLATTER and each one had TWO chops and TWO ribs! So yeah we paid £130 for 4 chops and 4 ribs, barely any donor provided. Honestly not exaggerating at all, left more hungry than when we went in. I’ve been there on previous occasions and loved it but they have massively dropped their standards and over-inflated their prices. It’s a nice place inside, boujie decor and all that but means nothing if food is poor. The older gentleman’s service was not great either, kept clattering plates on the table and making thundering noises. I hope they revert to focussing on providing quality food and re-visit their pricing. Won’t be visiting again for a long time for sure!

A nice place with good atmosphere. The overall look of this restaurant is really nice, and something that enhances your eating experience. The food was very nice, the meat was juicy while also being well seasoned which gave it overall great texture and flavour. Then there was the service, which was Beth quick and helpful, which allowed everyone to enjoy the meal and not have to worry about anything else. For the amount of food we were getting it was delivered to the table quickly and with haste, while still retaining the overall flavour. The staff were the main season for this and I am thankful that they were so open and helpful. They even helped with parking, which is something I know that they're not obligated to do at all, but is something that only elevates them in my eyes. A very nice place overall.

A small Turkish restaurant that is well served to the local community. It needs to update it's opening hours on line as it opens at 3 pm but advertises it opens at 2 pm. Food is good, service is good and the place is decent. No outside parking. It has disable entrance.

Their prices has gone up and portion sizes are smaller! The owner is rude and removes your plates without asking. The restaurant itself smells of the mens toilets! The toilets are nasty also.

Poor, had lamb shish, the shish was soggy, the pilaf bulgur was soggy. the salad did not have Turkish seasoning. Cost double than at Best Turkish Kebab across the road, which serves a better product. Very disappointed. Nothing compared to the likes of Taş Fırın in Bethnal Green for instance, who charge same sort of price.

Not sure why I’ve only just discovered this place. The food is very tasteful, the staff are really pleasant, welcoming and helpful, portions are generous. You will leave full and happy. A really good meal out locally. I’ve been with friend and my family that include young children. A fantastic experience each time. Really pleased to have this restaurant on our doorstep. Will definitely be treating more family and friends to a meal out here. Perfect spot for a catch up with friends, date night, birthday treat or family dinner.

They don't accept American Express cards! And I had something harsh in my meat from doner kebab, I could compare it to harsh granules or sand. Dreadful!! Couldn't eat it and lost money

Possibly the best Turkish food I’ve had in a long time. The staff were incredible and warming. I felt so comfortable and the atmosphere was so cosy. I definitely recommend getting chicken doner and chicken sheesh mix. 10/10.

Friendly staff very clean lovely food

Sadly our experience here was not a good one, apart from one waiter who was helpful. The platter was a absolute disappointment, we ordered x2 platters each they run out of wings and failed to inform us. Served us 2 wings on each platter, when questioned they were not able to tell us what the quantity should be!!

We recently moved from Hackney to East Ham and Alex's is the best local restaurant we have tried. Really impressed with the food and service. Highly recommended.

Been there so many times in the past, a few years ago and back then it was a nice place to go to. So I decided to go there again after a such a long time, Good Lord! What a huge improvement, the new decor, colour theme, the lighting… I absolutely loved it. Staffs were friendly as usual and the food was great as it’s always been. Highly recommended, I will defiantly go there again.

Kind request to the owners ,please go back to the same meat supplier that you used in the past. This place had the BEST doner meat in London .Ordered food the other day ,to my surprise the quality of the meat wasn't the same as before. The restaurant looked good after an upgrade but the main bit 'FOOD' was a let down.

Food was lovely, however I paid £11 on uber eats for a shish/kofte and the portion size was minuscule, satisfactory as a childs portion only, I will be reverting back to best kebab by the bolyen

After reading some great reviews, I was expecting a lot, but the place disappointed me a little bit. Doner meat was little bland, Beyti Kebab was nice but I've definitely had better ones.

As always, food is on point, meat is very succulent and the bread isn't difficult to swallow. Beneath the meat is some rice, I'm not sure the name of exactly but mixed with some pulled chicken. This is the Platter for 4-5 on the menu. Can definitely feed more than 5 as it has just fed 7 people. I'd say a little more rice would be nice but otherwise the food is delicious. Very great customer service and they gave a drink on the house too which is very nice.

Best Turkish in the area. Friendly staff and issues I once had with them messing up my order appears to have been addressed.

Gourmet burger was made perfectly; very generous patty size and had an authentic grill taste. Staff were very friendly. Took 35-40 mins to make the burger (was told 20 mins) but burger was cooked to specification. Chips were £2.50 for large but I found the portion provided to be a medium at best, so I don’t really recommend the chips here. They tasted decent and tasted even better with the garlic sauce. Looking forward to trying more items from Alex’s!

Don’t order from here through Uber Eats, you get nothing like what you get when you go into the shop and collect. I ordered one week ago and got what was a great meal and pretty much the same as i would in the shop, order again this week and got a pitiful excuse against what we got last week. I ordered a lamb and diner kebab which normally has a skewers worth of lamb (about 5 pieces) and what turned up was some curled up doner and 3 small pieces. Also took an age to deliver so was just about eatable, if I hadn’t waited so long then I’d have sent it back. Summary; great place to eat and takeout if you go in and order. The guys are really friendly and the food is great. Order through anywhere else though it’s a lottery as to what you’ll receive.

Hands down one of the best Turkish kebab restaurant if not the BEST. Tim is always class in his customer service and Ali. Even though not local to me always travel just to pick up some delicious fresh kebabs keep it up! Habib

To be honest my wife found this that said we were driving by and I was a little bit hesitant as as it did not look like the usual big name popular Turkish restaurants that you'd find in Haringey however I went ahead as we were hungry and thought I'd give it a try. Once we got there I can only say how wrong I was end how I would rather choose this place more than the more popular well-known Turkish restaurants, it's like a hidden gem!!! The service, the price and the amount of food is just impeccable. Definitely start going there. Honestly you won't go elsewhere afterwards.
