Ordered two different meals from the menu. Both meals arrived with several items missing. When I complained, their response was incredibly off hand and I won't be returning.

Food, service, staff and cleanliness in the cafe, very good. However, apart from the tea and the sausage everything else on my plate was ‘just warm’. A little disappointed. We usually go to Gordon Riggs for Sunday breakfast. Over the 20yrs of visit there, there has never been one single meal any of our party have ever been disappointed with. For the price of the food at Albion Farm, get the simple principals right. Serve hot food HOT please, not much to ask. Sort out your toilets too please. Only one ‘working’ and that’s not flushing at all. Disgusting. End of rant. NCA!!!

The butchering staff were fantastic. Nothing was a problem I called to shop for rack of lamb and pork baby back ribs. They had just taken a delivery of both, and kindly butcher them as I waited. They look fantastic. Now that’s what I call service with a smile. The baby backs are in the smoker at moment.

The food was good however part of my order didn’t come because the machine in the kitchen was faulty and didn’t print my burger so the kitchen didn’t make it. Arrived at a Albion Farm Cafe and Farm Shop, and they do not allow small puppy in the cafe, I was greeted at the door by a young server who refused us entry, I know it is their choice but seriously a FARM SHOP, refusing entry to 3 paying guests and a small Golden Retriever is ridiculous! We were allowed to sit in the rain, but there was very little cover and only tables for 2 in the shelter. If you have dogs do not visit in a rainy day as you will not be allowed in, but cats are allowed to wander the cafe freely!

Great Sunday out, all day breakfast 😘, then the farmers market, the butcher was brilliant, funny and informative, we bought several cuts of meat including the lamb wheels, great value for money @£10 kg we had two, One each for £4.75 cooked the way the butcher recommended and they were delightful and tasty, it's about 6 miles from us and worth every penny to travel there. Well worth a visit.

The young woman didn't acknowledge me or say she would be with me shortly. Poor service in general. Not very welcoming. Mushroom wasn't seasoned and the bagel was difficult to cut and seemed stale. First time hear and will be the last. Breakfast came out luke warm the sausages dry and like they'd been reheated more than once. The 'poached' egg was more like a boiled egg not one bit runny. Toast was inedible it was that hard and cold. Bacon was also luke warm. Became obvious why when my husband peered into the kitchen and seen all the stuff premade in buffet style containers. Expected a lot more quality than that at a farm shop especially with the prices charged. Very disappointed especially after driving 40 minutes to get there. You need to do better at those prices. We could have gone to a restaurant chain for a buffet breakfast if that's what we wanted and got half the price. Expected freshly cooked.

Well I was warned about this place however I had to see for myself. I frequently visit farm shops all over the north west searching for the best produce for me and my young family as I refuse to shop at the run of the mill supermarkets and this is by far the most overpriced place I have found ever. Someone said to me be careful going there as you'll pay the Saddleworth tax. I thought "no" they can't overcharge you for locally sourced fruit, vegetables and meat but my word was I wrong. Not only was it horrifically over priced but also not very fresh. Albion farm shop you should be ashamed with yourselves for charging the extortionate prices you do to people just trying to feed there families fresh produce. YOU NEED TO DO BETTER

We have just been for a breakfast/brunch at the Albion farm shop. This is our third time here and it will most likely be our last. The previous two times were somewhat substandard in terms of food quality but this time for the lunch menu was absolutely abysmal. We waited 40 minutes for a small breakfast and the rarebit plate which I ordered. What I was served, for £13 was one piece of basically cheese on toast. Yes there was some salad and a small coleslaw and chips. Not something I would consider a meal, let alone pay £13 for. The topping was lukewarm and not forgetting to add that the bread was not toasted and "aired", meaning it was dry, at one point I struggled to swallow. Not something I usually struggle with. We would have also walked out long before the food arrived due to the length of the wait however since we have to pay upon ordering we had no option other than to lose out on our money. Wouldn't recommend I'm afraid. It is freezing inside the cafe. Also clean the outside toilets. 👌🏼

Exceptional Farm Shop Experience with Outstanding Service Review: I recently visited, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. First and foremost, the food quality at the café exceeded my expectations. From freshly baked pastries to hearty sandwiches, every bite was a delight. The cozy ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of my meal. The selection of goods in the shop was impressive. From locally sourced produce to artisanal cheeses and homemade jams, there was something for everyone. I was particularly impressed by the variety and quality of their offerings, which made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for. However, what truly sets Albion farm shop apart is their amazing butcher department, especially Brad. I had the pleasure of interacting with Brad, who went above and beyond to ensure I had the perfect steak for my Valentine's evening dinner. Despite the shop closing, Brad waited for me outside and personally assisted me in selecting the finest cut of meat. His knowledge and dedication to customer service were truly remarkable, and it's experiences like this that make me a loyal customer. Overall, my visit to Albion farm shop was nothing short of exceptional. From the café to the farm shop and the outstanding service at the butcher department, every aspect exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for high-quality food and exceptional service.

Really nice selection of foods, not too much to choose from good choice for kids too. Friendly atmosphere as well as a nice one, loads of seating areas, however if you get here on a popular day like weekends then expect to wait for a table as this place gets busy as expected, worth the wait and food is served very fresh and also worth the wait for that. Highly recommend and will be going again. I will say one thing though, there wasn't any baby change there which let's it down and the disabled toilet was out of order and not one of the staff were aware which I think is bad.

Been coming here for years, but today will be the last. This is the owner causing a scene in the cafe after me asking for new bacon as it was swimming in grease! I was politely dealing with a member of staff when he decided to interfere, he was very rude and slammed my plate back down on the table and said I’m getting nothing else and refused me a refund! We have enjoyed Albion farm many times it’s a place we love to come, we ordered a full English breakfast, when it came there was no hash browns and the bacon was greasy. When we asked for new bacon the owner came over and told us the bacon always comes like that and there’s nothing wrong with it, when we told him we didn’t like bacon swimming in grease he told us we couldn’t have a refund and slammed the plate back on the table and stormed off. We found this very upsetting and distressing in front of multiple people, as we usually enjoy our experience here but we would definitely not come back if that is how the owner thinks that is the right way to behave. We were also informed this was not the first he has behaved this way as he had done it with another customer the day before.

The stars of the show at Albion Farm shop are the butcher’s counter and the pie counter. The meat is reared by them or farmed near them. The pies are stunning. There are a lot of other packaged goods - condiments and bottles etc. Some of them a little over-priced. There are other fresh goods - vegetables and some breads. The issue, I guess, unlike a supermarket with superior stock control, ensuring these goods are within their use by dates is a challenge. We bought ciabatta which, the next morning was mouldy. Same happened with some vine tomatoes a few weeks ago. Go for the drive out and pick up the hand made beef or lamb burgers. Really superior flavours.

Update as of Sunday 10th December 10am What on earth has happened to this cafe? We had a very poor experience in the cafe at Albion farm. A big breakfast and the light breakfast for my wife. When it arrived, all the food except sausage was only luke warm and the toast was hard and cold.By the time I had sorted out salt and sauce it was all cold. I asked for my 2 eggs to be replaced as they were just plain cold so they brought me 2 more eggs that were also luke warm. I tried dipping my hard toast in the now cold second set of eggs and gave up on my cold breakfast that cost £13.80p I let the polite young serving girl know the breakfast was of poor quality and she apologized but offered no refund. At this cafe you have to order and pay first ! I have had about 30 breakfasts from Albion farm but this will be my last. Lime Kiln cafe or diggle lock are close and offer better quality food that is hot so I will get my breakfasts anywhere but Albion farm

We were admittedly late in the day for our visit. So it was understandable that some items were not available. But upon finding this out.. We left. We left because... Despite it being cold out, the radiators were off. I felt one, it was stone cold. A lady and her daughter sat on one side of the room, still in outdoor clothing with hats on, trying to eat. But... They still want to charge you a small fortune for the food. While an exaggeration I could easily conceive of my food freezing on the way from plate to mouth. There's no way it could remain at an adequate temperature for the required time to eat it. Then... Access to the farm shop. There's a clear path from the cafe to the shop that's inside. But oh no no... Its blocked off, so you have to go outside in the freezing weather, walk the whole way around the building, to enter through a poorly lit freezing cold section, to then go back inside 5m away from where you started. But again, they have the nerve to charge a small fortune for the stuff. How this place does trade is beyond me. The customer is extremely low on their list of priorities. I will say again that we did not end up ordering food so it may be worth the premium. But to sit in the most rustic freezing barn possible, and pay those prices, it had better be divine ambrosia.
