Lovely food and staff were great but we were seated in a very busy area and people kept knocking into my seat when they were passing by. Noisy and it really made my experience less enjoyable than it should have been.

If there was a higher score, they would get it. Excellent service and excellent food!

Amazing service and the food was amazing!

Above average taste of meals. Hearty portions. Delicious bruschetta. The fresh bread was probably a tomato basil and scrumptious. Space was quiet when we arrived just before the dinner rush but quickly became loud as the dinner crowd came in.

Great food and fantastic service at Al fresco. Good selection of dishes, fairly priced. The haddock risotto was very tasty. Recommended.

Visited for Friday lunch, busy restaurant and had a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and the service was very good too. Value for money.

Service was very good but food lacked flavour for me. I had the arrabbiata with chicken. The pasta was overcooked and the dish lacked any other flavour notes beyond spicy. The other dishes I tried all lacked seasoning in general.

Pleasant atmosphere and great service, but the food left something to be desired. My wife had the pesto fettuccine pasta, and I had the smoked salmon and shrimp pasta. Hers was decent and tasted reasonably fresh, but mine was thick with a sauce that had simmered too long and had a strange bitter taste to it, potentially from the saffron in the broth. Not impressed.

Large tasty starters. Discovered Rock Turbot as a fish. Reminded me of proper scampi from my youth. Very good chatty service.

Updated: The most recent time we visited the food was not as great as the first and second visits had. The food was either too plane or had too much tomato taste at least for us personally. Considering that we still ordered at least one same dish from previous times it still went down in quality of taste overall for us. The starter of Arancini became extremely large and over filling that eating all is going make it difficult eating the main. As always the portion sizes were quite large. The service was also good, they checked on us. Unfortunately though the food quality wasn’t as great as before. First visit: The place is amazing, the food is tasty. We ordered starters, main and dessert and everything was lovely. The risotto balls were amazing, usually easy to mess up but here, just amazing. The prices are reasonable, I would even dare say that they are cheap or cheaper than most other Italian places we have visited. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was outstanding, members of staff would check on us and see how we like the food, always smiling. I do advise booking in advance especially in the evenings as they get very busy.

A charming, elegant restaurant with a refined yet laid-back vibe

Had lunch here and we opted for the lunch menu, 2 courses for £16.95 which is great value for the portion sizes. Great atmosphere, restaurant was hoaching which is what you want on a Saturday/

We've visited this restaurant several times and every time we come away happy. The food is outstanding and the service as well. We have no complaints at all. They always make us feel welcome and our children love the staff and how friendly they are.

Amazing place, the staff was great, friendly and professional, the atmosphere was energetic and the food was simply delicious. One thing that could be better was the portion size of my lasagna.

I went there in Saturday evening and to be perfectly honest the restaurant was great, food was delicious and service impeccable. Unfortunately the open plan of the restaurant made the place very noisy and I couldn't hear what my partner was saying across the table. It was unenjoyable experience due to excessive noise and felt like tables had no sense of privacy as they were so close together.

The special penne pasta of the day was mindblowing. Every time I visit this restaurant, the food and drink are amazing.

Just had a lovely Valentines meal here. Despite the restaurant being very busy we had an excellent meal expertly served by very attentive staff. In the way out we passed 5 employees who had nothing to do with our meal or serving of it. They all said thank you very much for your custom. A wonderful meal from wonderful staff.

Booked here prior to a show and handy as close to the venue. Absolutely blown away with the perfect level of service and amazing food. Too delicious for words. Beautiful presentation and so so tasty. Would definitely go back.

Food was great. The fresh bread was absolutely divine! I got the seafood marinara linguine and it was really fresh although I would prefer my pasta a little bit more with bite or al dente, but would definitely recommend!

We just turned up and we were fortunate to get a table. I was meeting a friend for lunch in Aberdeen and this was her choice. It was Christmas time so we were expecting it to be busy. There weren't many free tables. We opted for the lunch menu. The staff who served us were very pleasant. The food was so nice and they were quick as well. It is no wonder this place is so popular. I had spaghetti carbonara and profiteroles. It was just so good.

Lovely lunch, decent value at £15.95 for two courses. Nice place and staff, I ended up wishing I could spend more time there. Will be back for a more leisurely evening meal sometime soon.

A great Italian restaurant A great restaurant. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food tastes great and the portion sizes are quite big, you will never go hungry. Don't worry if you can't finish it all. You can get a takeaway box which is great. I have visited Al Fresco many times, for large groups and dinner for two, it's a great venue for either. I really like all the fish dishes.

We were greeted by a very friendly team who managed to accommodate a party of six on a Friday evening after we made a mistake with our booking. There’s a really good buzz about the place, and the staff were very attentive without us ever getting the feeling we were being rushed (and we were the last ones out). Most of us had 3 courses, and all portions were generous. The calamari starter was lovely, as was the pollo porcini special. The tiramisu is the best I have had in a long time. We wouldn’t hesitate to go again.

Been here twice recently and Al Fresco exceeded expectations both times! I am vegetarian and had plenty options - they even offered a separate vegan menu if required, with multiple choices for starters, mains, and desserts. The food is great quality, the staff are so lovely and attentive, and the prices are really reasonable! Highly recommend for any occasion :)

As we went to walk in, a lady said 'I've never had a bad meal there', and that helped set the tone for a great meal! Very enjoyable traditional Italian food as served by very polite and friendly wait staff. The specials were interesting and I really liked the spaghetti al nero with seafood. We were very pleased we got to go here during our only night in Aberdeen!

No clue about the quality of food or service . But my low rating goes to the misleading information on the site . I was for one night in Aberdeen and looking for food . And I found this restaurant opens until 11:30 pm. I did a long journey to get there at 10pm but I was told that they were closed. It was open but no food was available.

First time visiting Al Fresco. It was a nice day so sat outside. Had the lunch menu, 3 courses for £18.99. The food was quite nice but the portions were very small so went away still hungry. Service was good from the staff. In my opinion there are better italian restaurants in Aberdeen.

Swift booking by phone, staffs were welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent, no issue with all the 4 starters and meals ordered. It's our first time in this restaurant and we were all impressed with their attention to details.

The service was super friendly and quick. The ambience is classy, ​​the food was super tasty. The price-performance ratio is very good for Scotland. I can only recommend it, it was a great evening (and very surprising because the area didn't suggest such a great restaurant)!

Lovely Italian restaurant, I had 3 courses and a drink for only £21. I had the specials for starter and main and they were both excellent, tiramisu was top notch. The staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely go again on my next trip to Aberdeen.

The (ahem) “Girls” and I went to Al Fresco for lunch the other day – it was the first time for all of us at the post-covid venue. The food was excellent, generous and value for money, the service swift and attentive and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. We were all very impressed. I was especially charmed by the handsome waiting staff who led the singing when my pals presented me with a candle-lit profiterole for my (mumbles a number ending in a zero) birthday. We certainly WILL be back.

I didn’t actually have any food, we sat outside for drinks. Honestly, the service here is second to none. Our service has been so lovely and we’ve been made to feel so welcome here. Even seeing how the staff treat other customers has been heartwarming as they go out of their way to really help everyone. Great location, great drinks, and although we didn’t have food, the food also smelt and looked amazing.

Me and the guys a heading offshore tomorrow so we decided to treat ourselves to some good food before we head out. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent as was the service and not overly priced. A very good Italian restaurant.

Visited on workday for lunch, didn’t have booking, but no problem to accommodate. Order just main and dessert, glass of rosè. Didn’t had to wait too long for food to arrive. Risotto pescatoria was creamy and perfect al dente and seafood cooked ideal. Dessert was profiteroles with ice cream. Good coffee. Staff were friendly and taking care to see if I finished main and when dessert could be brought out. Good coffee. Portions are good size, it will fill you up. They have wide drinks card to choose from for white and red wines. I had a bit of wait to get my check, staff were busy, as it can get during lunch time, but maybe just had to ask for it as I finished. Will return again. One of places in Aberdeen where I liked risotto, as it’s my favourite dish. Paid £33 for myself.

First time in a Italian restaurant and I really love my meal the staff were excellent they could not do enough for you the restaurant was so clean if I am in Aberdeen again I will be going back there again people I would recommend it if you are ever in Aberdeen

I had the Hake from the specials. The vegetables were, for me, perfectly done. Both creamy but crisp. The Hake was beautiful. I had it with the New Zealand Sauvignon blanc Fost Pocket which was a lucky guess and complemented the Hake well. The Tiramisu was not too sweet so perfect for me. The service was swift and attentive. 10/10 would recommend. I will certainly return. Annabella.

This is my favourite restaurant in Aberdeen, the food is delicious and good value for money, nice atmosphere and the service is very good, i have came here quite a lot. I deceided to book a lunch there for my 60th birthday, today actually, went in and spoke to manager/owner about specfic requirements a couple of days before and when i went today everything went to plan, had a lovely birthday and all my guests throughlly enjoyed it, keep up the good standard, will see you soon, will be back for another lovely meal.

Great Italian food, good wine list, substantial portions and good service. Dessert also excellent. Cozy spot for a rainy evening, and limoncello on the house as digestivo. Recommended. Also listed as Apertivo. Touted as '40s decor, well, there are gestures in that direction, but only just. Still, manages to be somewhat intimate despite the contemporary floorplan.

This was our first time at Al Fresco and we’ll definitely be back again. The staff were so welcoming as we entered the restaurant, and each dish that we had was so tasty. Kris our waiter was so very friendly and helpful. We’ve been to other Italian restaurants in Aberdeen before but this one is now top of our list.

Have visited several times and always been impressed by the quality of food, fair pricing, and pleasant staff. Most recent visit was on hogmanay - we were provided with a free round of drinks to compensate for the slightly slow service (which was easily forgivable on such a busy occasion).

Came to this place for the first time while visiting family, my cousin Elizabeth is a regular here and it did not disappoint. From the unique decor to the staff. The food is absolutely stunning and paired perfectly with the wine of your choice. Robbie is second to none within this establishment, nothing is too much for this very handsome guy always a smile on his face and forever working around the room making all customers feel like friends , I would go as far to say that he should be promoted to general manager ❤️ I can't wait to return to this wonderful little slice of Italy ❤️ xxx

Not the first time I've been here and won't be the last. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a basket of their own baked bread and I could have eaten the lot. The chicken in pancetta sauce with potato wedges and roasted vegetables was so tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff were really friendly and attentive. Thoroughly recommend it!

We walked in on Saturday night and I cannot remember when was the last time that I’ve been welcomed with a smile 😊 Got a nice table , the food was great, service was excellent. Little things like, the server lady offered black pepper not just on my main but my side salad too. Food quality was really good. Probably our new favourite place from now on ☺️
