Just awful. Im writing this after foolishly trying Albaba for the second time. Some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten. I’ve never had a chicken shawarma simultaneously taste so strange and taste of nothing. I’ve no idea how it’s possible to make food this bad.

The Fatayer dough was undercooked and the cheese was sour but the Kibbeh was nice

I've been coming to this Palestinian-owned restaurant since it first opened. The decor certainly isn't fancy, but the food is superb, and great value. We are spoiled in Leeds for Middle Eastern food, but in my opinion, Al Baba tops them all. I called in tonight, with a pal, and we ordered simple falafel wraps, but they were absolutely fantastic.

The chef has no idea what he is doing! Horrible food. Not even cooked properly.

Great vegetarian options, the falafel and Halloumi wrap was delicious but the star of the show was the mutabal (roast aubergine dip) my favourite, beautiful fresh ingredients and super tasty

Rubbish. Paid £15 for a mixed grill and there's virtually nothing in it. If I'd have bought two Wraps and a couple of sides I'd have got at least twice as much for the same price.

One item was missing but honestly the food was that nice I didn’t care in the end ! Really nice food!!!

Greasy, stale chicken, lack of flavour. (2yrs ago) Made the mistake of going back a month ago never again. Food still black and stale and had a couple small bites and threw the rest in the bin. I had diarrhea this time. From reading some of the other reviews, environmental health need to investigate.

Visited Alba a Lebanese restaurant on a Saturday afternoon, ordered a Shawarma sandwich and chips which was £6.50. The sauce was contained quite a lot of garlic which could be a issue for some people. On the whole it was quite a tasty sandwich and quite reasonable value for money.

Very good customer service, fresh food . Also has a very good vegan variety.

Absolutely disgusting, under cooked chips, which were black and out of date. The salad was not fresh, really poor, all in all it looked like someone with absolutely no culinary skills had just thrown it together, thrown being the key word. Awful I wouldn’t recommend at all.

First time ordering and i won't be ordering again from here. while the service was great, the food was terrible. worse chicken i have had in a long time. it was completely dry, under seasoned. if i wasnt so hungry, i would have returned the order and asked for a refund. extremely disappointed, save your money or order somewhere else. awful.

Kept saying it was waiting for an assigned driver for 45 minutes! Food came FREEZING!

Overall the food has to be thrown out, the meat in the large grill was smelling like it was off, the burger was so burnt that was uneatable. I will give - starts if that would be an option.

i ordered food on uber eats last night food the rice was under cook salade was rotten and the bread was all cold and was cutting in pieces without even touching it was hard to eat it i will never order food from there very disappointed

Always 5 starts, but this time I was given the wrong order. Paid for Falafel and Halloumi and got only Falafel.

Chicken Salad was delicious but received in a standard small plastic tub so portion was not good for the price of £7. Fresh orange juice was spot on too but for the price of £5 which comes in a small cup not so good so please AlBaba get some bigger cups. £4.50 for large Baklava, not sure i would class it as large and not sure what the norm is for that specific portion i received but it was enough for me, i didn't mind paying the £4.50. Lentil soup is £4, it came in a standard small plastic container but portion was just right so i didn't mind paying the £4. My total of all this including service fee after discount came up to £20.44 which is really steep and prices paid don't reflect at all in the portions i'm afraid. I ordered for delivery which was quick so that was good. Would i use AlBaba again? My answer is, yes (not any time soon) but only at the restaurant it self and not for delivery, in the hopes of the portion being more better to reflect the prices charged/paid. This is my honest review and i hope i have a better experience in the future.

Restauranteur stole my money and refused to give me the food I ordered.

So this food was really bad quality. We ordered from here because we wanted something a bit different, spent over 30 quid. The food arrived on time but lots of issues: the halloumi tasted old & dry, not fresh at all, the chicken shawarma was pink & fatty, overcooked, the few chips we got were just flung on top & they were dry & tastes disgusting. Received 2 x warm mango drinks, no mint lemonade. We tasted a bit of each food & then it all went in the bin. Asked for a nearly full refund for the components that were really bad. Just a really bad, unsatisfactory first experience. Really poor.

I ordered a few pastries(Fatayer) and the dough tasted bad and wasn’t even cooked properly on top of that they were wrapped with only foil and stacked on top of each other on a small plastic bag without proper packaging. I really suggest you improve the dough to meet the standard Lebanese cosine because this isn’t worth the £23!

Was looking for some halal food while up in Leeds. Saw Albaba Restaurant on Google maps. Ordered shish tawouk (similar to grilled chicken tikka) which was freshly made, it was very tasty and the side salad with Lebanese pickles was fresh too. I would recommend Albaba and I will be visiting again.

maybe i'm a little fussy but when you walk in you are confronted with the smell of your grandparents furniture to start off and i should have taken this as a sign. the price was too expensive for what i got as i didn't even get a drink with my so called 'meal' i pulled the member of staff up on this issue and it turned into a back and forth, i had the mixed special wrap which contained lamb donner and shwarma. the shwarma was alright but the donner was cut too thick and i bit into a few bits of gristle the size of a lego cube. i would say that the garlic/parsley sauce that was in the wrap was very nice but the member of staffs attitude, price and donner gristle let the place down.

The best falafel shop in Leeds. The food is beautifully presented, great portion and well priced. Staff are so friendly and food quality is great! Please visit when you can, at least once

Every time I have been here great food, also recently had two sit down meals with son and well worth getting full meal on proper plate with extras and cutlery not just a wrap. I recently had moussaka, and it was sloppy and spicy which I like. The salad my son had with his kebab on bread, had extra favour-some spice & dressing on it too, along with three great dips including humous.

Strangely, the plain chips I ordered came covered in cheese. The rest of the food was nice.

The best lamb wraps in Leeds. Overall, very clean place, all stuff are tasty. Sometimes I feel they increased the prices and substantially reduced the filling of the wraps. Have been in the situation of having half a portion depending on whether it’s peak time. It’s also strange one of the guys who is usually in a good mood always makes the wraps bigger and better. :>

Food great once arrived- a little Smushed from travel but flavour great, meat tender and well seasoned. Rice well cooked: not chewy. The order was confirmed at 18.35 and originally due between 18.50-19:15 this got incrementally later and eventually arrived at 20:20. When we asked the delivery driver he just said ‘it’s always very difficult’. Fair play . The restaurant and just eat may as well just give an estimation of 2hours from order and save everyone stress.

Here I tried the most delicious kebab ever in Uk, the taste is amazing and the meat was very juicy and delicious. And the most amazing thing is that the lamb kofte kebab was veeery juicy❤️ Keep going👍

I recently visited Albaba restaurant and was blown away by the authentic Lebanese cuisine. The shawarma lamb and chicken were especially delicious, with tender and juicy meat that was perfectly spiced and seasoned. The portions were generous and the accompanying sauces and side dishes were equally impressive. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with traditional décor and friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Middle Eastern food and wants to experience the flavors of Lebanon in a cozy and inviting setting.

We wanted a light, "picky" meal, and this was the perfect place for a selection of small plates, and surely offered something to appeal to every type of preference and appetite. The chef was pleasant and obliging, and we felt welcome. Enjoyed every freshly made mouthful, and the prices were a pleasant surprise too. Unpretentious cafe, and all the better for that!

Food was nice, portions were decent, with the exception of chips. Staff member was very rude and edgy. Too overpriced and staff member tried to sell me the idea that their meals don't come with a drink. So I told him this isn't a meal then. He got off to a bad start and I got into a back and forth. Highly inexperienced and unprofessional staff. I didn't like his attitude at all. It was my first time (there) and last. Staff member was mumbling and talking under his breath against me. Initially I wanted to give this review a 2 star, but considering the service was appalling, I encourage a boycott of this restaurant. You will learn the hard way now. Down to 1 star.

Driver gave me 3.5 mins to get downstairs and outside, given I had a broken lift in apartment. He then drove off and wouldnt answer phone, basically ignoring me and thinking he has done his job properly

I’ve not been to many Turkish places in leeds but this place is a good option with budget friendly variety. It’s suited very close to kirkgate market which makes it a convenient place to go and get a bite if you are in city centre. Would recommend ✌🏻

Amazing experience! A very nice and clean restaurant the food and service was exceptional! Loved all the dishes we ordered and the mixed grill meat was tender and tasty cooked to perfection. On top of that there is a really nice atmosphere downstairs with classic music. Don't miss it, they have amazing foods! I love their falafel wrap and their lentils soup. I bet they have the best falafel, it is so tasty and fulfilling! They also have some amazing foods next to the counter. I will never have enough. Nice guys serving in the little restaurant. You can also order from them. I only tried their vegan foods but I believe their meat tastes amazing as well!

We ordered “mixed” meat Shawarma but there was only chicken in it.

A great alternative for hungry vegans on a night out. Absolutely lovely people. A life saver if a burger or a kebab at the end of the night doesn't do it for you.

Awful service, won’t return! In response to owners question: arrived at 1045 to be told I’m not serving you we’re closed by the rude guy behind the counter. Several tables eating and obviously still open and food cooking. Our response was you’re advertised as being open until 2am. I’m not serving you was the response. Rude and unapologetic. We are 2 men in our 50’s not some drunken teenagers if you are wondering.
