Wonderfully welcoming, classic Indian restaurant in the centre of Blackpool. Delicious food and great service. Recommend for parties large or small.

Fantastic meal, 3rd time I've been to this restaurant, each time I visit Blackpool I call in. Friendly service, top quality food & drink

A flight of stairs to walk up to the restaurant and a flight of stairs to the toilet, not an issue for us but could be for others... Staff were great and very welcoming... Wife get onion bargie and i got shami kebab to start...both were delicious...Main meal Wife got chicken tandoori and i got chicken curry... once again both were delicious...well definitely return.

Food was average, the owner/manager who is on the website photo is extremely talkative, he didn't allow my friend and I to enjoy our time by ourselves. He kept joining in our conversation. One of the staff was in a hurry to take away our plates just watching us immediately finish our food. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are visiting for spending quality time and money. Ambience is dodge, utensils were not clean, served in a worn out plastic utensil. They gotta do better for what they charge. My food was spicy although I asked for medium spice.

Tatty old place, no hand drying facility, loose loo roll, cold embiance, food very very average, service poor , would not recommend

Beautiful service travelled from Birmingham with my husband to celebrate Eid and the service was fantastic the owner made us feel very special and the food was delicious we had daal, and mixed tandoori main the lamb chops are a must beautiful Mashallah! Definitely our new go to place when we visit Blackpool again!!!

Just had a takeaway from here following watching a YouTube review. I have to say it was beautiful and fresh. I had a chicken pathia and it was full of flavour and the best ever. Some places you can tell its made from a universal base sauce and adjusted to a particular dish and is only sauce. Mine was rich in ingredients, the onion bajees were the size of oranges and again fresh and not reheated old ones. It's definitely my new go to and will be back.

Honestly the best Indian cuisine I've ever tasted. I'm used to the basic takeaways so this was an insane change. From the naan bread, to the curry, to the dips. 5 stars all round.

We've used Akash many times but tonight's meal was very disappointing, the keema curry was very watery & bland, we added rice to absorb the liquid but needed lots of salt for taste. Also the spice poppadoms we're burnt. We ended up throwing it away as didn't enjoy it. The prawn curry & plain poppadoms were OK though. We'll stick to Bhuna in future.

Every time I go to Blackpool I stop by Akash. It's one of the best Indian ones I've tried so far and the welcome from the staff is always so friendly. Be careful, the “medium spicy” dishes burned my European mouth. If you are sensitive, eat dishes that are not very spicy. Looking forward to my next visit to Blackpool to find this restaurant!

This place is a gem! Sammy will welcome you like your old friends and by the time you leave you will be friends. The food is amazing and the service 5* it’s our new ❤️ place to eat curry in Blackpool. Been there 4 times now and we will be back again and again!

Ate here last night. Been previously but not for a few months. Food was excellent again. All 4 of us enjoyed it and I've just enjoyed, again, the food I brought home. Starters and curries. A hidden gem really.

A beautiful experience, the welcome and hospitality was well received, something that we were hoping for! The menu was great and our choice of food didn't dissappoint!! We are already looking forward to returning on our next venture to Blackpool!!!

Some really tasty food served up here, we were slightly hesitant walking up the stairs, but don't be fooled by the lack of flashy frontage, what awaits is wonderful customer service, and some delicious food! We'll definitely be coming back soon!

Had a really lovely Indian meal here, the staff was very friendly and tentative. The curries were really good.

Food was OK, but errors in delivery and there was a lot of noise going on. Probably not one I'd re-visit - it was very busy and the staff seemed to be present in insufficient numbers to cope.

Really lovely food, had hints of Brick Lane from 30 years ago (Before BlackRock Destroyed EVERYTHING), Unusual, indian restaurant.. as very good. Owner (Sami) and his team are really all over the place to make you feel welcome and he is a good host. This is a very good place, per service, food etc. probably up there amongst the BEST in Blackpool, also you can tell the menu is well rehearsed as there is not a choice of 400 dishes that need a required microwave, well done and don't change a thing. Mad London.

Excellent meal on a cold Wednesday night after the match at Fleetwood Town. Lamb Rogan Josh was fantastic, tenderly cooked, warming and well portioned. Fantastic mixed starter, with two great dipping sauces.

My friends and I had a really great time. I am really familiar with these kinds of food but this is the best one so far. The only downside is that I’m from the north east so I can’t come to eat in this place everyday. Would recommend to everyone if they ever asked me where is the best tandoori restaurant is.

4th visit on 4th trip to Blackpool. Unbeatable Tandoori - spicy Tarka Dhal, excellent Jalfrezi, superb Naan. Worth every penny. Excellent hosts - attentive, and good humoured. Looking forward to visit number 5.

I can honestly say this is the best Indian meal we've ever had 5 adults 2 children all of us agreed. Fantastic service and they accept the Taste card . Brilliant. But unfortunately it is not wheelchair friendly. Stairs upto restraunt and more to the loo. Taking that into account I still cannot drop any stars because everything was so good .

Found this place by chance, greeted by a member of staff as he was entering the building. We asked if there was a table for 4 available and there was. Greeted again by more staff, all of which were very polite and friendly. Dining experience was great, from ordering drinks to food. I had a chicken tikka massala which tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend a visit here, and we will certainly visit again. :)

Well, were shall I start WOW in one word,we was walking around looking for somewhere to eat (4 of us) came across this place we was a little unsure to start with. Then a very nice guy came past us and welcomed us in with plenty of space. Lovely clean place and lovely polite staff the food was the best I've had in a long time. This place could be the reason to visit Blackpool

Lovely meal very friendly and attentive staff, very nice. We all opted for the tandoori special mixed grill and it didn't disappoint not one of us could finish it. Lovely little place. The only downside was all the stairs apart from that it was lovely.

I had a delivery of food last night. The man was very polite and friendly. That was the end of the good. The chicken chat puree was ok but cold. The Korai was awful. The chicken tasted like it had been boiled and was like chewing rubber. It ended up in the bin. What a shame. I was really looking forward to my £24 meal. You have been warned.

I went to the akash a couple of days ago. I ordered a naga , it was so good the manager/ owner was chatty and treated us well. The bill was £50 for 2 and it we ordered starters main and drinks

Been living here in UK for past few years and have tried curry houses all around. I had a chance to visit Blackpool for a vacation. After finding this amazing dining spot Akash Tandoori, I had to visit them three times in a week. Their tarka daal is my favourite dish so far and the lamb bhuna is absolutely mouthwatering. The service and hospitality was seamless as well. I would really recommend to try this place if ever visiting Blackpool. Will definitely revisit them again :))

Visited in June 2024 and ordered a number of dishes. Amazing food and service. Food arrived quickly and enjoyed by the whole family.

Great food and lovely, welcoming staff. Whenever we're in Blackpool we cannot skip going to the Akash. It's as much of a staple as Pleasure Beach or Coral Island. Highly recommend!

This place was a great find, for halal food.Had chicken karahi recommended by the staff with nan bread, tasted great as well, served hot, little ghee spread on top. The dessert was a great surprise, very tasty kufi. Finished it all, hence a picture of it before the last bite. There is no parking in the immediate vicinity, we walked around in the shopping area and stumbled upon it. It's a 15 min from bonny street car parking, 10 if you're a fast walker. The entrance is a staircase going upstairs. The main seating is upstairs so not wheelchair accessible. The stairs are big and manageable. The staff is very friendly.

I have again been let down by the delivery of tonight's order The vendor advised that the delivery would be at 17:45 whereas the delivery did not come until 18:10, by which time the food was only tepid.

Rubbish place as clerks don't seem to have a clear mind to even do the calculation properly. They are trying to charge you more when you are checking the price you paid, wow what a restaurant!

My Indian friends when they come to the UK have had many great meals here with me when we visit Blackpool. They rate the Akash as genuine Indian food and way better than the average British Indian establishment. I will be back.

Fast delivery. Lot of food for the price paid which is good. Food not salted at all which is also good for average but I would prefer salted food.

First time at Akash and I bought a £12.65 Tandoori Mixed Grill, It was tasty and fresh, good portion size and I got some free poppadoms, it was basically a good meal for one with a bit left over for tomorrow so very good value

It was OK had a lot nicer. Felt a bit rushed in there even though nobody was in there the old man couldn't wait to take your plates hadn't even finished.

Quiet a steep climb up some stairs before entry to restaurant, toilets are negotiated by yet another flight of stairs. Staff very friendly and attentive on our arrival and during our stay. Food was excellent my wife's main ( chicken tikka saagwala) was according to her the best she had tasted, my chicken tikka jalfrezi was excellent, reasonably priced and a complementary drink offered on departure, would definitely call again if my wife can manage the stair climb.

I rang the restaurant for an update as my order was running a little late. They apologised for the delay and said they were really busy, New years day so completely understandable. When my food arrived not only was it piping hot massive portions and absolutely delicious, they included a load of free items as well, I suppose to apologise for the delay. Naan bread, poppadoms and sauces, and side salads. Maybe everyone gets that but either way, first class service. My new go to indian food from now on, simple as that. Can't wait to try more dishes from their menu. Thanks so much to the team at Akash for going the extra mile and a happy new year to you all.

While in Blackpool we had 2 come back here again especially after the 1st time we came as the owner & staff make u feel so welcome & very friendly, & amazing food. We ordered a mix grill as 1 of our meal this time & all the meats just melts in your mouth. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to family & friends as they wont be disappointed 👌
