AK KITCHEN in Merton

It was my first time trying Sri Lankan food and I was blown away, the food was incredible. The portion sizes were very generous especially for the price. I would highly recommend AK Kitchen.

I stopped here for a quick lunch during my work break whilst working across the road from the restaurant. Best mutton biryani I've eaten in a long time and also had a portion of chicken tikka which was also delicious. The staff were all very friendly and the food was brilliant. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely be back!

We were served by Shree! Great customer service. We got masala dosa and biryani! Super tasty food. Really good quality food. I would highly recommend.

Small artisan kitchen for takeaway. There is a small eat-in space too. Oh I loved the warm smile and the welcoming nature. I’d recommend the food! Price is very reasonable too.

Terrible value for money. Ordered 10x chapati because the description says 2 pieces. So expected 20 chapatis. Only got 10.

Only received one samosa after ordering a portion that should have had 2. Mutton rolls were cold and chewy . Usually the food is cooked to a very good standard. However The rice was nice .

The Pothy Soru Special wrapped in Banana Leaf delicious as was the Chicken Liver, both Potato Curries good but portions were small - worth giving AK Kitchen a try if you fancy something a little different

Food was good though beyond spicy and I have a high tolerance. Im sure for many it would be inedible.

Items not cooked correctly. Rock hard starters, straight out from the microwave. Dessert sizes got smaller

The dosas are fresh. Made to order so it taste so good. The sambar and chutney has authentic flavours. Loved the mutton masala dosa, the spice were just nice. The gravy for masala dosas ere very generous & filling. Ordered vada too and it was soft & yummy🤤. Highly recommend this place. Not to forget the lady owner is amazing & offers good customer service 👌

Just did try for the first time today lamb curry with rice and potatoes and must say,that I did very much so enjoyed it and absolutely fantastic price as well...the lady was very pleasant and nice :-) 10 out of 10 and I'll be back for sure. Thank you!

I am a regular visitor, but wanted to give a review today as the Biriyani was out of this world. Must order if you’re in the area. Huge compliments to the everyone as the customer service is amazing! Big shout out to the chef!

The food was fantastic and great service.

Missing items from the order. The food was also extremely oily despite mentioning in the notes to add less oil. The chutney that was served with the dosa was spoiled. Had to throw it away.

Disgusting food - Biriyani Rice tastes out of date

A little too hot for me. I love Asian food and there was a great variety and value in the thali set meal. My only problem was that it was just too spicy for me.

Pothy Soru was great, loved the way it was presented like in a South Indian village.

Requested a “home made curry” to takeaway for my mum whilst she’s admitted to hospital. Staff were very kind and cooked up something beautiful in the kitchen just for her. Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful

Ordered kizhi parotta and kothu roti. Both were spicy and tasty. Looking forward to trying other dishes
