Age Exchange in Greenwich

Lovely little place, with memorabilia of bygone times and a nice little light and bright cafe in the back to linger in.

I regularly have lunch here after excercise classes. The coffee is first class and there is a variety of freshly made sandwiches including toasted and bagels. There is a changing daily menu of hot soups and pasta and sometimes an excellent gazpacho. I often enjoy a jacket potato with a choice of filling. The cafe acts as a meeting place for the young and the elderly, there are comfy sofas and a pretty garden at the back. The staff are mostly volunteers and always friendly. The Age Exchange is a charity supporting people with Dementia and also runs the public library and various groups and concerts. A thoroughly good place to be in the centre of Blackheath Village conveniently opposite the station.
