22nd December I ordered food which included £10.00 kebab, my food was delivered without the kebab and I was told the will refund my money , however, they never did . Its a shame 😳

Spent a tenner on a meal, had to the cheek to put 1 chicken thigh only, was expecting 3 or 4 for it to be worth it.. bad value for money... improve your offering stop being cheapskates with your meat portion and overcompenstating on rice like no one will notice it.. seriously who can eat a piece of chicken with 2 plate fulls of rice.. bloody ridiculous.. otherwise taste was OK rice tasted slightly burnt and salty

If I could give zero stars, I would. I spent £24 for a tiny piece of chicken and just two pieces of stew. The rice was old and greasy. What a joke! This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Avoid it at all costs!

I ordered Jollof rice and grilled chicken with fried plantain but the jollof rice is nothing to write home about , it was all burnt , lumpy and tasted like a left over jollof ,It was just as if I ordered a burnt jollof rice or maybe bottom pot jollof , I’m highly disappointed pls do better !!!

Yam chips was crispy , but the shito which was the dipping sauce had a very weird smell to it.

Food was really nice, the plantain was a bit hard but it was still nice. The portion of the food was good and filling.

1st off, I'll start by saying I'm a British Nigerian, so i have tried my fair share of jollof, meat pie and assorted meats. So I have an idea of how these things should taste. We ordered from this establishment over the weekend, while on a short break in Coventry. We decided to patronize our compatriots and spend our money with them and support. We waited 40-50 minutes for the food to be delivered by deliveroo.. no biggie. We sat eagerly awaiting some Nigerian Comfort food however, sadly we were met with what can only be described as burnt, dry , reheated nonsense. Seriously guys, you have to do better. The food was actually poor, the meat pie that we ordered immediately on seeing it, it was clear it was not fresh at all, the pie just broke apart like it had been deep frozen and reheated, However that was'nt the worse part of the pie, as it fell apart it as clear that this pie was 97% short crust pastry and 1.5% carrot and 1.5% meat. Like seriously if i want to eat pure pastry i can hang out around the back of Greggs at closing time and just eat from the bin. This as it happens is exactly where this insult to meat pies went, straight in the trash. Then onto the rice, this rice looked and tasted like the type of rice you get at a Christmas party and put it away in your freezer, then while cleaning out your freezer in April you come across it and try to reheat it. Dry, flakey, clumped up and burnt and then the meat... dry carcass' in the Sahara have more moisture than the meat that came with the burnt offering rice. Finally to top it all off we had actually ordered fried rice and were given plain boiled white rice.. the type of rice that you can take out from your larder chuck in the rice cooker and have done in 5 minutes. When we complained, they didn't seem to care. Only saving grace was the plantain. So after ordering all that, all we ate was boiled white rice and plantain. I don't usually like to write bad reviews especially to business' i turned out to support but the food was BAD. I just hope it can help them put more effort into the food they serve.

Fried rice wasn’t tasty and they gave me chicken instead of chofi and did not get my salad

I was trying to introduce my white boyfriend to my culture, unfortunately I had to apologise on behalf of all Africans. The jollof was dry and not very spicy and my fried chicken looked like a shrivelled up corpse with barely any chicken on it.

This place has actually put me of ever trying again jellof was burnt, chicken well I've seen more meat on the crackheads down the road

Asked for jolof rice and meat stew, what i got was a lot of rice with a little bit of meat stew. never coming back plus my order was over 1 hour late. Go somewhere else people unless you like being scammed

My food was opened before it got here from Afrilicken Junction. I’m not sure if the restaurants is responsible for this but the delivery driver said it was opened when he got the food from the restaurant and I’m not sure if it’s safe to consume.

Wasted my time and money for burnt rice which was supposed to be jollof rice and was my first time trying it also the chicken had hardly any meat on it. Only thing good was the can of coke.. Maybe just a bad day in the kitchen idk

No menu available unless you've got a smart phone on you. Half finished shop. 1 chicken leg that was pretty tasty with burnt jollof rice. Not so nice🙁. Lovely lady behind counter though 🙂

The lady who is working hers doesn't know how to respect customers ! She made me wait more than 30 minutes to pick up my order!!

Mutton curry was to die for. Only gripe was I got jollof rice instead of rice and peas as per the menu. Hubby had half a chicken which was so succulent. Can't wait to return and try the tapas and other dishes. Alcohol isn't served but we took our own. Staff were very helpful

I had the jollof supreme with grilled chicken, proper authentic Ghana food. It came with plantain and salad. It was absolutely delicious. Lots of bold flavours, with lots of spice! The chicken was juicy. I have no complaints. The portion size was really big, enough for me to have 2 meals out of it. I really enjoyed my meal, and the staff are really friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely food, it can be a bit slow yes, but it is truly freshly made which can impact on time, lovely Ghanaian food though and tastes homemade and hearty. 😃

It was the worst food I ever eaten and a complete waste of money. The so called fufu was so small.The soup supposed to be some sort of banga was tasteless.Tiny pieces of bone passed as meat was tough. Service delivery was so poor. I felt sad ended up eating at a Jamaican restaurant!"

Love the Africaness in this restaurant with a bar, both Nigerian and Ghanaian food and drinks with live music every month, nice food, good atmosphere. Afriliken and hideout bar is a place to be🙌

Half of my order is missing imagining paying £43 Not ordering from here again .. would recommend unless you want to be disappointed

Unfortunately I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I ordered rice for pickup through deliveroo and it stated that it would be ready by 12.27 pm. To my surprise when I reached the restaurant it was closed although on google the opening hours states 12 and I was charged for the food. I called the restaurant and I was informed they open at 3pm. My suggestion is to change this on the website to avoid people getting charged and end up having no food and no refund.

The fish and rice is nice loved it However the jollof rice was nice but the chicken leg portion wasn’t , I’m still hungry after.

The fish I ordered with the kenkey was an old fish instead of fresh. The restaurant must serve customers with fresh foods. The banku and okro stew was not bad.

The food was cold and tasted off struggled to eat about half of it. The food was also delivered about 30 mins late. I am very unhappy with this service.

Honestly I expected a lot more from the food. The portion sizes are good but the glue binding everything together aka the jollof rice tasted bitter like it was burnt or at least the least burnt rice in a batch that was burnt

This resturant lacks customer service. I called to advise my food which I CALLED to make sure I get a spoon has the spoon. The woman shouted at me and asked me if I paid for it. This restaurant on many occasions never take responsibility for anything. You need customer service to run a business.

After waiting for over an hour to receive my food, I was given the wrong order, then when attempting to resolve it, they decided not to pick up the phone, absolute rubbish, don’t order from here, all they know how to do is waste your time, they’re just making it harder for serious African restaurants to have a good rep, absolutely abysmal service

Food was cold. Rice and chicken tasted and smelt burnt. Meat was ok but a bit too dry . Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Sorry mate. Do better

Every time I order from you, the jollof rice is frozen, they don’t make fresh rice, so hard and chewy, please. If you want to run a stable business do it properly. The rice literally freezes while I eat, I don’t know how many days or weeks it’s been put in the freezer but it’s ridiculous. They just heat their frozen food and give it to us. Their service and staff are no good. Good restaurant if they sort their rice out.

This place was reported and known to have rats on the premises so they changed the name I eaten from here recently and the food was cold dry and would not recommend at all

This place is extremely slow I myself am a food delivery driver so if you order from this place takes ages this is the reason why they are under staffed and the workers are so slow and on top of that rude. From my experience this is the slowest takeaway in coventry.

Great Ghananaian /African food.

The lady beside the bar was rude, and on the phone, when I asked for a take away menu she was unhelp full I wanted to eat in the restaurant did not feel very comfortable and she would not allow me to have a look at the menu, also she did not make me feel welcome I would stay well clear of this restaurant and go somewhere else.

The Food was delicious and the service was great I like the Ghanaian dishes

Jollof rice was good but waakye with assorted meat was a total waste of money. After spending £12 just to get extremely dry rice and 1 piece of meat and 2 tiny ponmo. Terrible Update! The jollof was very terrible as well. It only had a great smell, so I thought it would be good too. Extremely strong and dry. I do not recommend at all. I had to trash both meals

The fried plantain and turkey tails were quite nice. The waakye, chicken stew, the fried yams, the jollof rice were all not that great.

Seems the delivery time is not reflective of right timings as the lateness has occurred over time hence the feedback today.

The food arrived 1hr 15mins later than the maximum estimated arrival time. You would think the wait was worth it right? The rice was bland and the assorted meat was salted stew, the salt was so terrible i couldnt swallow. The plaintain was nice, definitely not eating the coleslaw. Please your order 3hrs before you intend on eating .

Jollof is mediocre but banku, chofi, kelewele is amazing.

I will say best african restaurant in Coventry by far. Their food is really nice from rice to soups, to chicken and plantain. I’d suggest they add stronger drinks

Great food yum, arrived on time and packaging is good and safe. Their friedrice, waakye, and banku with tilapia are my fav. Their chofi and chicken wings are to die for. Just eat delivers on time im good they’re back on here.

Immediately you opened the food, it smelt burned. Rice wasn't fresh. Burnt Stew, Overcooked and sticky rice. Meat was burnt. Fish was too dry. Too much salt. Too much tomato paste. Very disappointed. Needs action.

My drink didnt come with the order and this isnt the first time!!!!!! Do better!!! Very disappointing

The waakye was delicious. The portion was on the lower side 🙂. Gizzards were great!
