Probably the best Curry Goat I've had. Perfect flavour and melt in your mouth meat. Excellent value for money. I actually wanted jerk chicken but as it was sold out I opted for my 2nd fave and BOY I was NOT disappointed! Takeaway has a few seats available could do with some music playing just to set the Jamaican vybe. Will 💯 be back again and again and again.

Very tasty curry goat, dumplin and coleslaw, meat was so tender it just fell off the bone. Thanks to the lady who served me for wrapping it well so the gravy wouldn’t leak whilst travelling. Have recommended to the rest of my family who love Caribbean food.

Ordered the curry goat with rice and peas and mixed veg and some plantain. Wow probably THE best curry goat I've had. I tried these guys randomly at Bolton Food Hall and it was the best decision I made that day. Deffo reccomend!

This is the worst experience I have ever had I was given rice and I am allergic to to it and the staff members was dismissive and did not give me a replacement or a refund I will never use this place ever again I am a diabetic and was very hungry at the time bad customer service

Me and my fella come to this place today and food was outstanding. We ate brown stew chicken ,rice and peas and veg , we have been to quite alot of Caribbean food places and this is definitely in our top tier (must go to food place) . And that is the real critisum .. thank you to chef who cooked it and staff who served us x

There is no way that this place is value for money, go and buy at your own risk . Extortionate prices you will never believe, old rice mixed with new. You could buy a few days shopping with what they will charge you for takeaways. If you decide to buy from here ask the price for every single item or you will regret it.

I was introduced to D&X by my husband and been going since. The food was excellent. I had no issues. Good portions, good service all for a reasonable price. Will definitely recommend. I would say if you want real Caribbean food try them out.

Brown stew chicken and steak dinner 10/10 mega food !

Curry salmon with king prawns Sunday special. This was freezing cold when I got it, straight from the fridge and served! Potatoes rice and everything freezing cold. I've thrown it as I'm unsure about re- heating fish products. Just Eat contacted for a refund.

It was difficult placing the order as we wanted the meat and gravy to come separately from the rice. They charged us extra which in my opinion shouldn't have happened. We had to go through an awkward process of calling up and then requesting extra items and then calling up to explain that they were just there for the charge and not to be sent. To top it off the order came late. The original chef is still there but the service has declined. Disappointing service.

Driver was lost had difficulty understanding where he was daughter had to go find him soup was fine but oxtail and ground food very cold warmed up in microwave. And did not feel like eating it not a happy person

This was my friends birthday surprise when he opened the bag we were both shocked the patties were tiny and some were stuck inside the bag in the end I had to throw out and order from elsewhere . Only good thing the driver was friendly

Curry goat was tasty, tender meat and very few bones. Very large portions. Patties are quite thick, not my cup of tea but tasted good none the less. Mac n cheese was good, only thing is it's quite creamy so if your looking for a sharp cheddar flavour then it's not gonna be for you. Will order again 👍

Ordered last night, had Curry Goat, Oxtail and Brown Stew chicken, all with rice and peas. The portions were all very generous. We also had mac & cheese and some of the patties. I really cannot fault the food, it was absolutely delicious and really authentic in flavour. Loved the spinners and butter beans in the Oxtail but the goat was definitely my favourite. Would absolutely order from here again when visiting Manchester.

The rice was undercooked and hard

Drive could not find the entrance even after I told him flat 16 not 15. Kept saying he can't get in and I should come out, informed him I was disabled and can't get to main door. In the end he came in walked all over the building even though I said I was on the ground floor. The food was cold and spilled out in the bag

Pleasantly surprised to see a whole fish! Flavours were delectable although I didn't really get much brown sauce. The Mac n cheese is pleasing to both the eyes and the belly, portion sizes are on point (no one can ever have enough Mac n cheese)

Definitely not brown stew chicken, no flavour, chicken was fully pink and the rice tasted microwaved. Waste a £16

My daughter had chicken rice and peas which she said was nice. I had curry goat the curry was a bit too hot for me so I couldn't finish it which was disappointing I don't usually have this problem with curry goat the coleslaw was good & the pineapple punch was good too.

The food used to be onpoint, this was a favourite spot, lunch time was our usual spot, not now, staff at these times just don't want to be here, i have brought a few people here, and the food has gone down hill, fast, pops in the back is the only reason I even still come back Really hoped they would stay true to how they were, 😪

I eat from here on a regular basis 🙌🏾. Never had any issues with anything. Although they need to do the sorrel and Ginger all year round not just xmas lool

I bought 3 large dinners because I didn’t feel like cooking today. Jerk chicken, steamed fish & brown stew chicken. all with rice & peas & cooked veg. they are generous with the gravy. I had it put separately in a cup. you can buy cake as well for dessert.

Cheaper and better than most other restaurants full stop, never mind Caribbean. For 30 pound we got oxtail and curry goat each with rice, 6 slices of plantain, a patty, a BIG slice of Mac an cheese, a fried dumpling and ground provisions (two boiled dumpling and yam) and mutton soup. Don’t be fooled by the images on Deliveroo these portions are massive, more than enough for leftovers to have later. Meat was a bit boney and fatty but not to the point where it felt like there was no good pieces and fair enough considering the price. Flavour was impeccable. Defo going to order again.

Just noticed this place has only a 1 🌟 rating 🤔 If you like Caribbean food & you're in South Manchester *THIS IS THE PLACE* 😊 Very clean, very welcoming staff.. always a bit of banter going on.. Been eating here for years now, the Jerk & Brown Stewed Chicken is on Point. Roughly £6 a portion.. Very filling and Very tasty.. Also serve dessert like cake and custard 😊

Very rude customer service, asked for curry goat portion size and the woman starts saying " the £8 one is a meaaalll, and you asked for a portion" when clearly it says curry goat on the menu and I'm asking how big it is. She really just wanted to argue got no reason, rudeee mannnn.

Solíamos ir con regularidad hasta que llamé para hacer un pedido, y en un tono flácido, como si estuviera hablando con uno de sus amigos, estaba al otro lado del teléfono y me decía 'Estoy hablando demasiado rápido' y ella puede ' ¡me entiendes! Le dije que estaba siendo grosera y descarada. Todo lo que se podía escuchar era la música fuerte de fondo, como si fuera una fiesta en casa, no una comida para llevar, así que no es de extrañar que ella no pudiera escucharme, un cliente que hace un pedido, ¡así que intente bajar la música! Para darme una lección, presumiblemente, cuando recogí la comida, en contra de mi buen juicio, pero es para mi hija, 'girlie' me sirvió el trozo de pollo más pequeño que pudo encontrar en una cama de arroz. Lamentablemente, muchos miembros del personal de comida para llevar del Caribe no tienen modales y usted está bien si lo conocen a usted oa un miembro de su familia; de lo contrario, olvídelo. Soy de la diáspora africana antes de que me llames racista y estoy cansado de frecuentar estas comidas para llevar con personas que no se molestan en servirte y brindarte un servicio mediocre. Sin embargo, quieren tu dinero. No te molestes en quejarte con ellos tampoco: ¡agua de la espalda de un pato!

Been here twice now and the fried chicken is very dry and has little flavour. The patties are nice. Staff wernt the most friendly. Kool runnings van is the best place in Manchester by far. Wont be returning.

Good prices and delighted that they sell saltfish fritters (and hadn't sold out like everywhere else seems to do). Friendly staff, good variety, buuutttt.....the thigh was a bit dry & the fritters rubbery with v little saltfish. And thats by only lunchtime. Might give another go but probably not soon. Shame.

Great tasting Jamaican food. Green bananas and yam available. Food not too salty or spicy. However, they have only 1 table for eating plus a counter with 3 high stools. I definitely will visit again.
