Absolutely Stuffed in Falkirk

My partner and I were looking for a place that did pancakes in Falkirk, and we are thrilled that we found Absolutely Stuffed. Situated on 2 Bean Row it is a little bit hidden, but definitely not difficult to find. They had a sign on Cow Wynd, so it was very easy to find. It is quite a small unit they've got, with only a few tables, and although it did not bother us it may be a concern for others. They have a sweet and a savoury menu, but keep an eye on their Facebook page as well, since the chef tries out new stuff and posts them on their page. They have two plates that they use for frying pancakes and crepes which are visible to guests, so you can see the fresh produce being prepared in front of you. An excellent touch! My partner had a Kevin Bacon waffle - a really nice and crispy waffle with maple syrup and bacon. The bacon is from a local butcher and you can tell. Excellent smokeyness and perfect texture. I'm sure you could ask for the bacon really crispy if that's your thing, but I recommend leaving the chef to his devices - he knows what he is doing! I had a stir-fry vegetable crepe with cheese and balsamic vinegar. I was blown away. Superb balance, great use of flavours and I certainly did not leave hungry. The plate was heaving with vegetables and it was a dish I would certainly return for. We had two cups of tea with our meal, and they were quite nice too. All in all, we paid less than £10 for our meal. Considering the size of the portions (4 bacon rashers with the waffle and loads of vegetables in the crepe), this is excellent value. I think the tea was only £1.30 or thereabouts!
