Popped into this dog friendly cafe whilst out a walk in the west end. Pistachio & White Coffee was lovely, chocolate cookie nice and chewy, millionaire shortbread to die for - so fresh ! Staff friendly and helpful.

Very nice place. Dark roast coffee is fantastic, we all had 2 cups. Blueberry bun was lovely, as was granola. The eggs Benedict was amazing, the bacon was truly scrumptious. Well worth a visit and the staff are great

Proper coffee which I had in the sun with a raspberry bun. Wow that was delicious. Reminded me of school style tray bake bit not too sweet and full of raspberries. All the brunch items coming out kitchen looked good

We have been meaning to write a review on Absolute Roasters since they had their Pop-Up on Hyndland Road. Lovely, friendly staff and brilliant coffee. Last visit we had Dark Roast, Milk Chocolate Mocca with the most amazing Portuguese Custard Tarts! Best I’ve had since having them in Macau many years ago. Only problem I can see is there are very few tables and some people bring in their laptops and I’m pretty sure they can be there for some time, unfortunate for Absolute Roasters as they could be losing out on customers, it’s a difficult one though. We are both really looking forward to trying the food as it always smells wonderful.

Nestled neatly in Hyndland this is the place to visit, the staff are very efficient and friendly, the food quite outstanding, with a menu you wont find anywhere else we were gobsmacked at the outstanding quality on offer. We had the foraged mushrooms, utterly superb, I had the baked cauliflower had no idea cauliflower could taste so good, the wife had patata bravas genuinely lovely. I personally thanked the chef as much credit is deserved, do yourself a favour and visit Absolute Roasters who not surprisingly do a great range of coffees too and latterly cocktails,

We moved to southside just over a year ago and Toro has been such a find! The loveliest staff, the best coffee and the cakes, pastries and bread are wonderful. A regular Sunday morning haunt for us, just brilliant!

May I begin by saying I am not an expert but a keen amateur. I have a Rancilio Sylvia classic and Rancilio Rocky Grinder and my own belief is that the type of been you need corresponds to your Grinder and setting. May I also say these coffee beans are all excellent, but I have found different results with each of them. With Papercup I have serious channelling I believe there is much more moisture in the bean andto be honest didn’t get a decent pull on any shots. Tin donkey was a great tasting coffee, but again I had to adjust my grind setting which is at zero on the rocky; despite numerous attempts at both paper cup and tindonkey I failed miserably. however I have 100% success with DearGreen on any of their beans. I don’t think there is much difference in the quality of these beans- I think it comes down to user error or capacity to pull good shots. I have learned to clean out my Grindr courtesy of Gail from Seattle coffee ha ha and I’ve owned this machine for roughly 10 years. DearGreen coffee works for me I hope you find this helpful
