Abdul's in Manchester

Ignore the date. This has been my and mates place to go and a measure of any other kebab takeaway for over 30 years. Large Seekh on Nan, yes chillies, and chilli sauce. Has it since changed? flying back to Manchester soon and need to know.

This place was a disgrace. Not only did they not give me the food that I paid for but I witnessed them washing the chicken with a soapy sponge. This place is disgusting and they are crooks, avoid at all costs.

Abduls wilmslow road ,(Miserable arrogant staff , tasteless small kebabs absolute rubbish , £10.60 for a large kebab how do they get away with ripping people off ,tiny half filled pots of waterd down mango , yougart sauce discusting , would never go there again , would rather go further up to rusholme , use to be good years ago but now not worth the trip , avoid !!

Excellent food and service and online ordering second to none with food being delivered beautiful to eat.

Visited Abdul’s takeaway this evening. The floor was absolutely filthy; one of their takeaway drivers actually pointed this out when he came in and one of the workers gave a half-hearted sweep of the floor but didn’t do much t. One customer tried to reason with them, as the table next to the one on which he was eating was absolutely disgusting, with food all over it, even starting to go mouldy. The workers laughed at him, and one of them said it was a “stain”! The customer was so frustrated, he wiped it off to show them how dirty it was and argument ensued, during which the staff swore and offered the customer a fight because they didn’t want to clean their own premises. Quite unbelievable. Children were there; a family walked out, they were so put off by the filth and attitude of the staff. This place has a 3 out of 5 hygiene rating and given all the food on the floor and the tables, and the attitude of the staff, their reluctance to simply wipe tables and ensure cleanliness, I dread to think what the state of the kitchens are and would suggest a new inspection is urgently required.

Had a couple of kebabs from here recently and they were nice. Just rang to ask do they do delivery and the guy answered “yes go online” and put the phone down. I rang back to tell him I hadn’t finished what I was saying and his reply was “ yeh, yeh what Dya want?” I told him “with that attitude, nothing!” then I put the phone down. Terrible customer service!

No matter when I come the website is clearly misleading as they don’t start making your order til your in the shop no matter how far you order ahead but the food is good

I got two kebabs for me and my partner it was very greasy had no taste the meet was cold and in chunks we’ve hand bad stomach pains the day after and diarrhea for two days never again would I go back

Ashamed at the food I received at Abdul’s. Paid £4.80 for a “Lamb Tikka” and received about 4 tiny little pieces of lamb with no sauce, or rice. When asking if there’s another part to the meal coming I was quickly dismissed. Will not be returning.

Great drunk food don’t get me wrong but no matter how far in advance you order they will ignore it and won’t start making it til you walk through the door so you’re left standing 10 mins anyways

Disrespectful & disgusting customer service especially from some of the worker men towards female customers. Example: I went in, got asked my order, the male worker wouldn’t let me speak, he cut me off, waved his hand in my face as if I was a dog and walked away, looking at me in disgust. Another worker had to step in and take my order instead. I complained and pointed at the man who disrespectful me in-front of the customers. Females avoid this place if you can. Customer service depends on the men working.

Went into Abdul’s fallowfield ordered large lamb kebab and chips payed, said I would be back in a few moments because I nipped to Sainsburys for something come back got my order took home opened they gave me a cheap Donnor kebab and charged me for a lamb kebab with chips 9 pound. Normally good food but some delivery clown left the food on the doorstep and found it 5 minutes later when my son came in. Why not knock on the window to tell me it’s here. Well pissed off . So pissed off I am leaving this here and going to chill.

We order a round of chicken kebabs every Friday lunchtime. Having done this for 20years they just can't be beat. Warning, the donner kebabs are not so good. Stick with the charcoal cooked chicken tikka and your mouth will love you forever.

AMAZING! Food is always great and kebabs are always freshly cooked, they have a marvellous selection of foods but the chicken kebab is the best paired with all the sides and sauces on top of it. The service is great and helpful aswell.

I went in to Abdul’s 3 weeks ago and spent £21, wen packing my order asked the guy I normally get a free big bottle of drink as I always spend over £20 each time. I have been going to this place since it opened (think it used to be a laundry called ‘Soap Opera’). The guy said to me oh you don’t get a free bottle. I asked why. He said u just don’t. So I questioned him and he then asked his staff colleagues and they said yes if he has spent over £20 then gets a free bottle. I was like who is this guy man. The guy says “oh it’s my first day”, I said “no it is not cos I have seen u couple times before”. He said “oh I mean first day on the till”. I said before you refuse a customer u should be checking first. I then said u kno for next time yeh. I went in today and placed the same order. I asked for the free big bottle. It was the exact same guy who turns round and says oh it’s for orders over £25. I said no it is not. He then asked his colleagues and they said yeh give him the bottle. This guy is fairly new and where’s a purple t-shirt. He is rude and has a right attitude problem. I asked him do U not have any manners. I said I have been coming here since day1 (the day it opened - whenever that was). Honestly if I didn’t have a family I would of sorted him out. But I am not going to get in trouble.

Went for the chicken wraps and birianni. The man gave me enough salads but the nan bread a wee bit cold. Tasty tho! The man front of shop was initially asking for cash... But later relented for credit card. A bitput off by his manner.

Rude, bad mannered ignorant service. Chilli sauce very weak and watery,spooned onto the burger bun making it soggy. Salad given eventhough not requested or wanted. Burger contained pieces of bone that almost broke a tooth. Won't be going again.

I’ve been coming to Abdul’s after late shifts for around 12 years, on and off. Positives: the kebabs are very nice, chilli sauce is my favourite from any kebab shop. It’s open late, often one of the last places open. Negatives: the kebabs could do with more meat. In the past I’ve ordered a large kebab and would have felt aggrieved with the amount of meat if I’d ordered a small. The guy who is usually serving on the counter late at night always seems furious about something! Very rude and abrupt. The toilet has been “out of order” for 12 years now. Every time I’ve asked to use it since 2007, I’ve been told this. Maybe they don’t know any plumbers, maybe they don’t actually have a toilet, maybe they just keep it closed so they don’t have to clean up after people, who knows?!

Pedimos un arranque de kebab Sikh, un kebab Donner y un sándwich de kebab aloo tiki. . llegó a las 9. 60 así que tuve que agregar el jalape os para llegar a 10. Pedimos el pollo al curry con arroz regular, y nos sorprendió conseguir comida muy cerca de lo que tenemos en la India. El sabor picante era perfecto, y tal vez un poco caliente para los no indios. Nosotros personalmente no comemos demasiado caliente, y fue perfecto para nosotros. Y la cantidad fue más que suficiente en aproximadamente 8 libras. Había algunos asientos adentro, pero preferíamos el frío sol de la tarde y nos sentábamos en el banco.

He estado yendo a Abdul's en Fallowfield durante muchos años. Sabes exactamente lo que vas a conseguir. Comida rápida a precios decentes. Para una tienda de kebabs (vende curry y otra comida asiática) el local es bastante grande con muchos asientos. Siempre he comido el personal para estar bien y la comida buena.

Pedimos abduls hoy y quedé increíblemente decepcionado, la espera duró más de una hora y cuando llegó olvidaron una de nuestras dos pizzas. La pizza que entregaron era fría y más pequeña que la que pagaron. El repartidor no sirvió de nada, su respuesta fue solo 'solo entregué la comida', pero afortunadamente, logró reunir suficiente energía de la única célula cerebral en su cabeza y nos proporcionó un número de contacto para corregir la situación. Este número de contacto no funcionó, por lo que mi novia tomó el autobús a Abduls para reclamar su pizza, derrotando por completo el propósito de que la pizza fuera entregada en su casa al salir de su casa para obtenerla. Cuando llegó, la pizza se había dejado a un lado sin la intención de ser entregada y compensar el error. La pizza se debe haber dejado en el costado durante bastante tiempo y no se ofreció la opción de hacerla con ingredientes frescos. No volveré otra vez ya que este es quizás el peor servicio que he encontrado en un establecimiento de comida rápida.

El servicio era pobre en Abdul's. Cuando le pregunté al trabajador que me había ignorado que él era Abdul, se negó a responder. El curry era sombrío y la "ensalada" era frondosa. Casi se cobró extra por tres hojas y una rodaja de pepino. El batido de chocolate estaba bien tbf. Cuando llamé hoy para ver si había dejado mi tarjeta bancaria allí, él no me escuchó y me pidió el pago de la tarjeta dos veces "por orden"

¿Estoy recordando correctamente que mis kebabs anteriores de Abdul están bien hechos y sabrosos, pero casi totalmente vacíos de carne?

Stumbled across this takeaway and was short on time so decided to pop in quickly. Ordered something that was advertised on the menu but they no longer did it. Ordered a chicken wrap in the end which consisted on hardly any chicken and lots of salad. Also the bits of chicken that was in there was soo spicy it was inedible. Not advertised as spicy so was not best pleased. Waste of time and money.

Disfruté mi experiencia en Abdul's como por primera vez, decidimos comer en ella. Una relación calidad-precio fantástica con comida muy fresca, preparada a pedido. La zona de comedor es muy básica, pero estaba bien y es de esperar de una casa para llevar kebab. Durante mi estancia en M / C durante unos días, he regresado para mi segunda visita. Por cierto, el personal ya no era más amable que mi primera visita; esto es lo único negativo que decir.

Had samosas and a drink from here one night when McDonald’s was closed. Useful to have a free to use cash machine outside too. Service was speedy and food was nice! Would definitely come back.

Me pareció bastante interesante esta tienda. Se venden prácticamente de todo, desde hamburguesas hasta kebab. El personal era muy amable y acogedor. La comida era bastante sabrosa y el tamaño de la porción era bastante grande. Me encantó el Cordero kebab. En cualquier día, optaría por este lugar al ministerio de al lado.

Bueno, camino de vuelta en '87 Como estudiante de la única indigentes estaba en Rusholme Abdul. Dos veces por semana nos gustaría abandonar UCP 406 T y guión para cordero kebab y zoom volver a el campo Fallow delicias en nuestra comida caliente con una botella de Newcastle Brown.

Primero intenté Abduls como joven impresionante de estudiantes de 18 años estudiando la gestión de Hotel en la tostadas rack en el campo Fallow en 1985! Avance rápido a 2017 y la comida es tan buena como siempre! Shami kebab bhajis de cebolla pollo kebab kebab buscar curry. . Elija.. . Todos de muy buena calidad! Tal vez la comida es demasiado buena como estoy seguro Abduls está parcialmente responsable de mi ganancia de peso a lo largo de los años! Mi único inconveniente real es a veces el servicio puede ser un poco impredecible. Si tienes los dos muchachos que han trabajado aquí durante años te irá bien. . Algunos de los chicos. más jóvenes puede ser un poco arrogante y no escriba su pedido. . Mi respuesta.. . Decir el orden tan rápido tienen que piden repetir y despues me escriben.

I was alone at home so I just wanted to have fun for myself while watching tv programs, i did know that my order wont appear suddenly but honestly I either didn't expect to wait this much time. I waited the estimated time, even more, cuz I considered maybe the shop is busy, any way after waiting for one hour and half I got a freezed pizza that i didn't enjoy it.

Abdul es un poco de una entidad de Manchester, alimentado muchos estudiantes borrachos por muchos años. Yo estaba un poco de resaca y ansía algo con un poco de especias y un poco de grasa. Misa del Gallo y dos samosas con salsa de yogur de guisantes y un donante de pollo por un fiver. Limpio, eficiente y satisfactorio. Vale la pena!

Si no estás molesta sobre decoración, que es mesa y silla básica nada lujoso, entonces este es para ti. La comida es increíble y muy bien de precio. Los naans son suaves y se deshacen en la boca y el pollo es tierno y jugoso. La ensalada es muy agradable y las porciones son generosas y lo mejor es que no se escapa del banco. Este lugar es genial para estudiantes uni o alguien saliendo de la ciudad por un bocado de comida deliciosa.

nice takeaway where you can get a delicious veggie kebab. they have put the price up to £3.50 but good value for money. the pepsi I had was very cold and I did ask to change it but they didn't have a colder one. good for a quick lunch dinner or late late snack.

Sometimes, just sometimes, come 2am, when you've spent Serbia's annual GDP on beer, and you look like you've been dragged through a bush backwards by the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, you need food, and you need it now.I would strongly recommend this shining beacon of an eatery as your number one stop for all your post-night out needs. Salty, fried, hot, and quick, this eatery will fulfill your deepest, darkest, desires. No, I'm not describing your mother.Thank you Abdul's - you are doing God's work.

Been coming here for years I have to say great service and good quality food. Best meat Kabab sandwich you can't get in Manchester. I have been many places no 1 can beat Abdul's. Perfect Kabab Mix. Make good courts as well and the best soft naan. You have to try it for the self. Keep it up lads See you soon

Good en-route to a meeting in Manchester. Good friendly service. Fresh food cooked to order. Unbelievably tender lamb for a lamb kebab...served with fresh salad, mint yoghurt in freshly cooked nan. Very impressed. Seating area clean. Happy customer.

Went there a few hours ago to grab a nice authentic curry and that's exactly what I got when I asked for an "apna style" Chicken Tikka Massala.Alot of the time when you order some indian food from a restaurant/takeaway there are issues with it (chicken looks too red, too much salt, etc etc) - this time they made everything (curry, naan, rice) just right and it tasted like it was made at home (not outside).... So, good job!If you can continue doing this for £6/7 you will make a killing once a few people have tasted it.

Slightly off the beaten track, but this is a hidden gem. Great food at an amazing price. Certainly not fine dining, but the comparison to the McDonald's next door couldn't be more stark. I always go for a chicken kebab and a potion of chicken pakora - yum, yum!!

All over the food is tasty but I normally go here for the donner meat & chips. It's epic. Their chilli sauce is second to none. One of my favourite takeaways in Manchester.

We had lunch one Sunday ordering two main dishes. Mine was chicken Karahi but usually in other restaurants it is a dish with juicy onions and a good masala. At Abduls there was no masala it was more like a small plate of small chicken pieces without sauce. Chappati was nice but man handled as it was passed to me. The second dish was a lamb bunyanise and came with a sauce of undercooked onion. It was pricey and poor for what we thought was Indian food. Worst I don't ink staff should handle papadoms or chappati by hand. I thought hygiene was poor . One staff member had what looked like very greasy hair. The toilets have no soap and are also dirty and badly maintained. How do these places get away with it just because the staff are pleasant and I didn't like telling them how awful it was. So once more they got away with presenting goods that were of poor value and unfit for purpose, we went in hungry and came out £15 lighter and feeling sickly at the unhygienic experience.

We ordered a take out from Abdul's and as a starter ordered poppadoms with the onion salad, mango etc to accompany. When the order arrive the onion salad, mango etc was not with the food. I phoned immediately to let them know in the hope that the car could return with the full order. The guy on the other end of the phone said we had not ordered these and would not listen to me. He sarcastically said " of course the customer is always correct" when I said that we had ordered the missing Condiments. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. I asked for the contact details of the line manager and he said he would not gone these.The Abdul's we usually use in fallow field is usually great. Shame that this one in rusholme has such poor service.

Sent our mate to get Saajans for the Champions League final in 2011. As soon as he returned and handed over the wrapped kebab I knew something was wrong. It felt light, too light, as if half was missing. Then I removed the sheath to discover it was filled with substandard amounts of chicken and cucumber. Who does that? Who spoils a kebab with cucumber? Abduls, that's who. We have never let this 'mate' live his error down. To shame him further I have attached a lovely photo of him looking his best.

Abdul's food is probably to a high quality. But not as high as you think it is when it's 3am in the morning and you and your friends are hungry. However, the best thing about Abdul's is the staff. They are so friendly and like to have a good laugh which makes everyone feel comfortable and chat with one another after a night out. They feel like teachers when were all acting like children. You can have a laugh but when someone takes it to far they don't hesitate to have a word. We used to come here after every night out in my freshers year. The food is decent and good value for money.

The food is lovely which they make to how hot you would like the curry. The portion sizes are large & price is very reasonable.Food is always pipping hot. Guys are friendly & happy to cater to your needs.

Do not order from this place on just eat you will never get your order and they take your payment but you will never see it again be aware as this could be happening a lot on just eat so alway chose pay on delivery and not by your card online

Me and my boyfriend went in for a quick pizza, whilst we were on the way home my bf thought there was a weird smell coming from the pizza box but we thought nothing of it. When we got home we opened the pizza box and there was pure mould all over the pizza, it was so disgusting. We called Abduls and they said 'we will give you a different pizza' I've never seen anything like it, we've been going to abduls for time and never seen anything like it. I hope you go out of business. Worst service I've ever seen, horrible people and no wonder it's cheap cos it's all mouldy haha To avoid any health risks avoid abduls.

When I went to Abduls me and a friend ordered a kebab and chips. The kebab came and it was SO cold! I began to eat it and it tasted like rubber, no flavour what so ever. My friend then found a hair in her kebab and took it back which they did not say much but replaced it. She didn't really want to eat the new one but she had a try and to her disliking, found another hair! We left and tried to inform hygiene standards of the problem being as no one in Abduls gave a toss!

The chicken tikka in naan (£3:50) is the best value for money meal in the UK. The chicken is always fresh, the seasoning and sauces are delicious and the portion size is more than filling. Staff are super friendly too

I ordered a vegetable biriani from here and I got a terrible excuse for an order. The rice was too spicy and the curry was disgusting... It looked terrible and was completely inedible! It was watery and tasteless. This is this second time I ordered from this Oxford road branch and both times have been terrible.

The guy serving just hated me for some reason. I was the only customer in the restaurant and he was acting as if he was so busy me asking for some food was a huge inconvenience. Ordered a chicken skewer kebab with naan bread. Mango chutney mint yoghurt sauce loads of salad. The naan was burnt and the chicken was so dry it was almost powdery. This whole experience has happened twice now. First time I thought I'd let if slide, now I won't go back.

Ordered a starter and mains which took over an hour to arrive (I live local), called several times no one answered, once they answered they advised me it would take another "10 minutes" - the food arrived half n hour later.Upon arrival the delivery driver was extremely rude and sarcastic. The chicken curry tasted purely of tomato and was not worth the money or wait. Will not be ordering from here again.

the starters were ok . but the dishes were terrible chicken curry and meat curry tasted the same , because they used the common curry . surroundings were good , will not be going there in a hurry.

Great value kebabs, always taste better after a many beers nearby.Its become a tradition with friends as a late night after party food stop.Not sure it would be quite the same during the day.

What you see is what you get .Enormous kebab with a soft drink for 3.40. Nothing fancy cheap quick and cheerful.

Every time I visit Wilmslow Road and have a choice of food places I prefer Abdul's. The kebab sandwich has to be the best at this place. Price is reasonable and the staff are pleasant too. The kebabs taste the same each time and reminds me of the first time. Recommended.

We stopped here when the late night hunger kicked in during a night out in Manchester. I had a large kebab with salad and mango sauce. It was really good. My friend liked his so much he got a second one to take home for his lunch the next day! The ingredients were all fresh and delicious... perfect after a few beers. The staff were friendly and welcoming.Stop by and try it out!

If you are on strict budget, this place will help you to maintain it. Price was great and portion was huge. Tastes were excellent. Service was quick. A must try if you are in Manchester. We went there several times during our stay in Manchester.

I use Abduls regularly at lunch times - the food is always great quality and they provide fast service even when the place is busy - eat in or take away - prices are set just about right for a fast food place -

the Kebab is very tasty and provided in very large portion, however the resturant is very small and very standard. highly recommended to visit if you want good food but forget to invite your mates

Visited Abdul's on many occasions over the years. Usually a lunch time eatery at work but have been known to visit on other occasions as well. Excellent kebabs and currys. Also do burgers and pizza if this is your thing. A clean eatery with always pleasant friendly staff.

I had a very enjoyable visit when I was drunk after a night out, I thought the food was amazing. When I returned, it tasted average though. Probably wouldn't go there sobre again. But it was reasoinably priced. Cheap and cheerful.

Had a craving for a Shami kebab and Karahi Keema Lamb with Pilau Rice.Food arrived quickly and promptly. Full of flavour and aroma with lots of fresh coriander. Just the job for a quick business lunch.

Abduls has been a firm part of my university life. i remember going abduls in been my uni breaks when i was in aytoun campus man met. Still just as good as it ever was.

Abduls on Oxford Road, by the Academy, was always my favourite but this bigger Abduls by Trof is almost as good. The chicken Kebab was great.

I have tried other indian takeaways locally and keep coming back to Abduls. Ordering online is easy, you get a free bottle of Coke for ordering online and the food is consistantly good. Recommend Lamb Bhuna and Chicken Dansak. Also you get plenty of complimentary red onions and mango etc.

This place is a must visit if you are in the area. The food is delicious and freshly prepared.The men that work there are lovely and friendly. They love to have a chat with you! There are healthier options to choose from and drinks were good prices. We particularly enjoyed Lassi drink!
