No idea. Placed an order multiple times for delivery, cancelled every time. I mean, if you don’t deliver, why offer it. Take the service down. Awful, probably won’t even visit after receiving poor online service.

Had our daughter's 18th last night here. Brilliant music and atmosphere. Nothing was a problem to Amanda and her staff.

Best local pub in town and i really enjoy my pint of Strongbow Dark Fruit. I am only a stones throw away from my local pub which is easy for me. Great atmosphere and everyone and including the bar staff are so friendly. I would never go to any other pub and Abbey Gates means so much to me. A 5 star rating from me.

Absolute disgrace of a place table was not ready when we arrived after booking so many drunk people asked for menus and we waiting 10 mins still no menu table not clean and seats full of crumbs first table they put us on the seat was snapped disgrace of a place and dirty we walked out disgusting

If I could give no stars if I could. I would ..only one person serving both food and at the bar , starter :..salad not fresh, mains : chicken not cooked long enough batter was pale and soggy , chips obviously re heated and tasted disgusting pudding:hot chocolate fudge cake microwaved to death could not get spoon through it covered in squirty cream and sprinkles looked like a child's ,service was terrible obviously the barmaid was over stressed and not coping as she told us from the start also stated when we asked for tea and coffee no.i dont have time for that as the person supposed to be helping is at hairdressers, arrived at 1:45 as booked for 2 we had to ask for a pad and pen to write our order as she was too busy ,we finaly got our starter at 2:45 we finished our meal at 4:30 as that is how long we waited on each course the last time we will eat in Abbey gates it spoiled what should have been a nice xmas lunch .

It was like something out of a comedy, so took mum out for her birthday she was 71 there weren't any other customers for dinner, mum sat on the compy seat and while I went for a menu she was asked to move over to the hard chairs to the left which are up a couple of stairs so not idea but ok, so got a steak each over an hour later it arrived burned and very tough and no steak knives they don't have any half way through my mum had to pick up the steak and try and bite it she is 71 arthritis and no proper knife ok so pudding can't go wrong with ice cream and mum hates sprinkles as she mentioned so half inch of sprinkles on top in a lovely plastic ice-cream dish with a soup spoon so obviously could only reach halfway down the glass 🤣 sorry but never been anywhere so bad but gave us a laugh 😂

We came in yesterday for some lunch, my sister-in-law is type1 diabetic and needs insulin to have food. She asked for a kids macaroni, i asked the staff at the bar if they could give me a rough idea of the portion/nutritional information. The response from the chef was 'dont have a clue, we dont make it from scratch'. As someone who worked in catering and understands the importance of Natashas Law and allergens i find it appalling that they have no information on the products which are being sold! It would maybe be worthwhile highlighting to staff how important it is for some people to know the nutritional information for the food they are eating. After also asking for some information on the chicken nuggets we sadly had to leave and go elsewhere.

Prr ordered a dinner for me and my friends on justeat about 3 o'clock for 8 30 was told was delayed until 5 to 9 so that was all fine but I'm now still waiting at 5 past 9 and extremely slow and next to no updates and we've spent over £60 in here tonight so this will be our 2nd and last time ordering from here sorry, we like we're in west Kilbride but at least state that would be longer waiting times to further places or phone customers let th know what's happening. So I would say all round quite a badly run service and we don't even have our food yet but now don't want it as we've bed waiting so long now

We got a takeaway and the food was cold when it arrivedbi didn't phone as I'm not sure what they would've done about it

BE WARNED when ordering from here on the likes of just eat there portion sizes are absolutly tiny you get more for your money ordering from a lunch time take away such as the rollshop !!! Tonight chips where brows and dry well over cooked! baked potato had like a spool full of beans poured over it! ordered curry box not a single thing in the box had the lids put on properly chicken curry spilled all over the box and the indian curry had i swear to got 2 bits of chicken in it! this is the last time i order from here as its not the first time i have had issues and had to call them to fix it cant even be bothered tonight! going to order now from another take away so my kids and my self can have a proper filling meal this place is a joke for there portion sizes and prices when you compare then to other take aways or even other pubs!!

I recently had my 40th Birthday here and had a fantastic night. The owner and staff were fab and helped make my night a great one. They were all friendly and helpful and done all they could to make sure my night went as planned. Would defo visit again for a meal, a drink or a night out with family and friends as their prices are all very reasonable. They provided a very good buffet with plenty of choice and also provided gluten free for me too. They also provided entertainment (karaoke/disco) which was great, everyone enjoyed it. Thank you very much to all the staff for everything they done to make my night as fantastic as it could be.

Very quiet the night we were in First time in pub since start of lockdown used to visit here more regular before being called the Abbey Gates, Not changed much, same clients, Live music nights are supposed to be good, So will probably be back

Dined in with my boyfriend and had an amazing experience. Ordered the chicken tempura and it was amazing! Fast service, lovely staff and great food. Will be coming back

Whaited hour for food. Only 4 people in when got the first course it was tastless told them nothing. Then Whaited unther 10 min for main course stinking. Never eat it will never be back

Awful experience. Fizzy juice is non branded, despite asking whether it was Coke or Pepsi available and told Coke, hairs in food (think from a cat as I heard a meow before we ordered), dirty booths, bland food but decent chips 🤷‍♀️

Great food , freshly made to order. Nothing to much trouble AND child friendly. In fact great value for a family meal out.

Very disappointing in having to wait 2 hours for our delivery. If you can't fulfill orders within a certain time scale at least have the decency to advise customers of this. Food was cold and cheesecake was well...just mush. Very disappointing

Had a food order of Steak Pie with Chips & Vegetables and my husband had the roast beef Sunday dinner, was great value for money and large portions will be ordering again soon delivery was within the allocated time

Got a delivery. Not often i bin food, 2 hour wait. Ordered the sunday roast, the veg just tasted like water, over cooked in water and tasteless, 4 little pieces of chicken cold and again tasteless, gravy bland. Mrs had the macaroni weird consistency as if it was made from cream and it had split i dont know, cold again, chips cold and soggy. Miby have been over busy and had a bad night but cant be sending food out like that. Got refunded but again thats not the point. Poor expierence cant see me trying again

Ordered food for home delivery had the Big Boy Burger and it was great the chips were extra chunky and crispy, my friend had the chicken burger that came with 2 crispy chicken fillets on it and again with chunky chips , great meal and saves me cooking on a monday night

Been ordering from here for a while the food is always amazing it has never disappointed me and the delivery service is quick, lovely and friendly drivers. I will be telling my friends and family if ever looking for somewhere to order this is the place.x

Took a gamble as was looking for a different takeaway food and we were pleasantly surprised at quality and portion size . Excellent would recommend this place . The mucky fries are delicious and huge portion . Steak pie was brilliant too as was tempura . Will be ordering again 👍

Ordered 2 meals for my girlfriend and I. Ordered a main portion of chicken tempura and a flying Scotsman burger, our food was cooked well and was still piping hot and delivered earlier than expected. We will defo be ordering again!

Lovely food all bar staff are amazing&friendly and the entertainment at the weekends brilliant definitely recommend and a big hat off to the chefs for tasty food and well preparation will definitely be back 😊 x

Popped in last night for food with 2 friends. We had the lasagne, cajun pasta and a cheese burger. Could tell the lasagne was homemade would definitely recommend it👌. Decent sized portions too so we all left very satisfied. Couldnt believe the price of the pink gin either...very cheap. Will definitely return... good food and friendly staff .

Ordered food from here was terrible taste like microwave meals though I would try the deserts again horrible gave me garlic mayonnaise with sticky toffee pudding also gave me same garlic mayonnaise with nachos at different times think this place uses same cream for every thing worst place I have ever ate out of wouldnt even give it one star

Value for money had the family in 2 adults 2 kids and we all had 2 courses and it was under £25 , had the house lager at £2.35 for a pint and was lovely also, have ordered home delivery on Foodhub and was just as good ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
