Not been before so popped in for a drink. Looked nice but staff were not very friendly/welcoming so won't be returning.

For my wedding I needed a place to house the Grooms party. Following a great experience staying at the Abbey Fields for a friend’s wedding. I selected this destination. The booking was a touch complex but I got there as rooms were only available a year out and booking for 8 rooms or more required additional processes and rates. However on landing the 20 individuals at the location things went very smoothly and the team there were great managing all the differing needs of the families of multiple age groups. The food situation was, as always complex with 20. and there were some hiccups with the pre booked dinner. But breakfast on the two morning was fantastic. All in all we were well looked after and would recommend.

We didn't get food as we were just using their toilets as the village toilets were closed but we bought a drink out of courtesy and it was a very lovely place and very friendly and welcoming.

Was a lovely afternoon with the family and we had Ricky as our server who was brilliant when we had a bit of a family emergency he still somehow managed to make it all work with food and drinks. Really appropriated!!

Had Sunday lunch & the staff were friendly & helpful, the roast beef dinner was tasty but the trio of mini British desserts was to die for!

The Abbey Field sits on the main road, on a Sunday evening it serves food to 9.30pm, which is not true for all pubs locally. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.. plenty so no need to book. Good menu with a special board. Good sized portions served quickly. Quality is high and is good enough for taking your parents, good friend or a date. Staff could not be any nicer, attentive but not annoying. Fair prices for the meal and drinks so £25 per person for two courses and drink. Look at the Greene king APP for deals and discounts. Park in the nearby car park or in a side street and walk a bit further. Good walks nearby, also the old Abbey Field and ruins.

Quaint English Pub with a wide selection of beers. Plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside. Equipped with a restaurant room where you can taste good traditional English dishes accompanied by delicious beers. Good selection of spirits and gins. The desserts are also excellent.

Absolutely lovely place to visit. Have been multiple times and each time I have had a great experience. I visited with my friend for lunch and had the most beautiful steak! They were so accommodating for my friend who was gluten free. The team at abbey field are lovely especially Ryan and Lee who provided wonderful service. They also advised the chef is name was ste! Would highly recommend!

Although we've lived in Kenilworth for a while, this was our first time going to the abbey field. It's a lovely pub and the barman, Dylan, was really friendly. We'll definitely be returning for food.

Absolutely fantastic food with such lovely staff, especially Connor, and a great selection of drinks. Great hours with parking available on site. Will always be a favourite of mine.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days and were able to enjoy some dishes and breakfast. The staff is sincerely adorable and attentive, it is good to have a drink and rest, however the walls of the rooms are very poorly insulated, you risk hearing your neighbor snoring. Everything is clean and efficient thank you for your welcome

This is a lovely pub, we come for late Sunday lunch every now and then, using our clubcard vouchers. Service is always great and the decor and cleanliness is also really attractive. The food is mostly good with the odd time when the standard isn't up to scratch; the most recent visit produced a very small portion of barely cooked veg with the roast dinner but overall it was tasty and filling.

Absolutely had an amazing visit. My server Ryan was an amazing waiter i absolutely loved his personality and the way he treated me with such kindness really made me feel welcome. Attended for special Birthday lunch. The food order for the children was incomplete. The roast meals were very disappointing microwaved meat, very watery and incomplete. The waiting time was unacceptable and terrible service. Having been a regular customer when the venue was under better management it is such a shame to have had a bad experience . Definitely won't be going back again.

Always excellent service when Ryan is on. Service with a smile and nothing is ever too much.

I went with my friends to this pub for dinner recently. The food was really good and we really enjoyed our evening. Ryan was an amazing bartender with a great sense of humour and brought our drinks promptly. His service was amazing and I look forward to coming back soon!

My waiter Ryan was absolutely incredible! 10/10 service, very easy to talk to and extremely welcoming to all of us at the table. Made us feel very comfortable and he was very attentive to our needs. I had a right laugh with Ryan, the best waiter I’ve had at The Abbey and I'm a regular. His service added to the amazing night I had here, he deserves a pay rise!

I came in for a meal and it was great, loved every part of the meal and what made the experience that much better was the service I was provided, such an amazing set of staff but shoutout to Ryan in particular, our server who went the extra mile to keep us happy. I ate here for breakfast and dinner for 3 nights/4 days and the service has been amazing. Food was delicious and portions were generous (thoroughly recommend fish and chips, the wild mushroom starter. and the sausage and mash!) Staff were friendly and approachable - shout out to Tom, he served me twice and was a great server. Would recommend and would come here again if I ever visit Kenilworth

Went in for a meal last night and not only was the food great but the service was too, for a busy Wednesday, our waiter Ryan managed to stay on top of it and still provide such excellent service, The Abbey is lucky to have him. Thanks for the food, drinks and service.

My 3rd visit for a perfectly cooked late lunch from the specials menu. The chef is clearly excellent and delivers food to a level way above standard pub fare. Having previously enjoyed beautifully cooked hake with capers, this time I tried the honey and thyme roast chicken. It was perfect, the skin tasty and crispy, and the meat absolutely perfectly cooked. In fact, the chicken was so juicy when I first cut into it, that just for a moment I thought it might be undercooked in the middle, but no, it was perfectly done & freshly presented and so completely different to the dry, overcooked lump of protein that is so often served up. The accompanying vegetables were equally good, a vibrant and tasty mix of greens and new potatoes sauted with crispy bacon - fab! I'm not usually a fan of chain pubs with their standard menu and ingredients, but a good chef cooking with skill and flair makes a world of difference. Please don't let him be tempted elsewhere!

Great little place, with excellent food.

I came in today and I had the best experience with the bartender called Ryan. He was so sweet and when he gave me the review card at the bar I had to write one. He’s wonderful at conversation and he really made sure that my friend and I were enjoying our time and the drinks were so fresh. My large glass of creation was beautiful. Will definitely have to come again

We did not enjoy the trio of roast meats or the 7 day aged beef rib. The meat was very disappointing and absolutely tiny portions of roast potatoes and carrots were provided. To their credit they did provide extra quantities after I complained but the overall experience was very disappointing. I will not be returning.

Myself and my wife Deb have been going to the Abbey Field for a long time as we love the location but it was going downhill, luckily ever since Lee has arrived as the manager its had a massive turn around, he is great at what he does, his team is great especially Connor who is so welcoming, the service has improved so much that we look forward to going there and am proud to call it our local, keep up the good work guys

Yesterday evening I had attended the Abbey Field for a meal and drink with my family. We had decided to sit down within a cosy part of the bar area. We approached the bar and was greeted by possibly the nicest member of staff ive ever encountered, he told me his name was Ryan. We had an interesting conversation about what to drink before clubbing lol. But in all seriousness he was amazing and such a great addition to The Abbey Field, couldnt have been better. The food was also absolutley beautiful and reasonably priced, will be 100% back.

Excellent lunch. Steak sandwich. Great chips and fantastic gravy. The sandwich was overflowing with steak. Would definitely recommend.

Nice pint, the food is absolutely awful although my dog enjoyed it. Seriously how bad can it get.

Eleven of us booked for breakfast, we were really looking forward to it. Started well with a lovely large table allocated to us, lovely dining area. It went downhill when the food arrived. One person ordered the berry granola bowl. It arrived without yoghurt, berries or maple syrup - just a bowl of dry cereal! When this was queried she was told they'd run out of yoghurt so did she want milk or cream with it!!! No apology. She asked for the berries and maple syrup and some milk and they eventually arrived. One person ordered the Farmer's Breakfast. This had to be sent back twice as it was overcooked and in the end she gave up. This was knocked off the bill luckily. Two of us ordered smashed avocado on toast with an extra of 2 poached eggs. I wish I'd taken a photo of this - it arrived as one small slice of toast with what looked like a quarter of an avocado smeared on it, and one poached egg. We pointed out that the order was for 2 poached eggs, as stated on the menu. After a bit of a wait we got another egg, on another slice of toast. We were told the chef was new and the menu had changed. Perhaps he couldn't count! This was almost £9 ! Par for the course in Kenilworth eating establishments but you would get far better quality elsewhere. Another friend ordered smoked salmon and poached egg on toast, it was the smallest portion of smoked salmon and certainly not worth the £9 price tag. On a positive note three people had the full cooked breakfast and one had a sausage sandwich and they were satisfied with theirs. We had a very young waitress serving us and she tried her best to sort everything out but she seemed very inexperienced. There was only one other member of staff on duty who I believe may have been an Assistant Manager. She was very cold and brusque and we didn't feel she took our comments seriously. No apology was offered for any of the problems we experienced, it was quite odd. As a group of friends we go out regularly for breakfast. We wouldn't return to The Abbey Field and suggest some staff training in customer care wouldn't go amiss!

Booked a room here to celebrate a friends Birthday which was held elsewhere Unfortunately the room we had - Room 2 was one of the noisiest Hotel rooms I have experienced Its situated next to the main creaky stairs, and we could also hear water pipe noise most of the night Also the soundproofing between this room and the next door bathroom is very poor We raised this noise issue with the Management Team but would like to post it so others do not suffer the same terrible night we had

Just had the 2 for £15 mid week dinner and have to say it was the loveliest freshest food with the best service I’ve had in kenilworth. Was welcomed by a lovely young lad on the bar by the name of Dillon who was warm and welcoming and very professional. Waited in by Allen who again was super professional and attentive! Please ignore any bad reviews of this place and give it a try while there offer is on in the week you won’t regret it !!

Poor and disappointing experience for a bit of breakfast. Scrambled egg and smoked salmon on the hardest one slice of bread. £8.99. My knife couldn’t cut through and it flew off the plate on to the floor. I complained and was offered something else but I just wanted to leave. It was empty, no atmosphere at the time. Won’t be back, sorry.

We stayed one night. The bed was the comfiest bed I've slept on in years. I was so impressed, that I lifted the sheets to find out what it was! 😂 Food was good too. Great customer service.

Booked Monday night for a Birthday meal. Left waiting for 5 minutes at the entry, then taken to the worst table in the establishment right by the door, as we were virtually the only ones in the restaurant, we moved tables ourselves. Another couple had obviously complained about something, they left as we sat down, we waited another 10 minutes before the waiter eventual came over. We left before even trying the good, I've had better service in Burger King. 4 star menue with 1 star service.

Very disappointed went on Sunday late afternoon ,no atmosphere as there were very few customers,it was cold.We ordered food which was OK...Will not visit again.

Won't accept legal tender and have stopped accepting cash well one said it was Monday but didn't have change so couldn't even get that right. Don't use this place that won't accept money if they don't want it don't use them. Forcing people to use card and have no choice disgusting

Absolutely appalling food was awful the roast potatoes weren’t like roast potatoes the pork loin was like burnt bacon the veg was tough & generally worst pub meal I have ever had, 4 of our party left their meals as they were inedible would rather have been to wearherspoond for food (& theirs is bad)

We were looking forward to eating here. However, my husband's lasagne was dry, and the top looked burned, and the batter on my fish was not crisp but soggy. We should have sent it back, but we were with friends, and we didn't want to disrupt their meal.

There was a gentleman on the bar who mentioned it was his first day I didn’t get his name but he was wearing glasses, I wouldn’t of guessed it was his first day and I just want to say what a lovely inviting individual he is. He helped carry my drinks over to the table when I couldn’t carry them all and asked how my day was which made me smile. The food wasn’t amazing but service made up for it.

Utterly disastrous evening. We were meant to be entertaining friends visiting from Cornwall. Plus other family members. A table of 7 people. We had to wait an absolute age for our orders to be taken. But this was fine as we were enjoying the company and a couple of drinks. However. 90 minutes had passed and still no sign of any food. We were told that they were short staffed. So very disappointing for us and our friends who had spent the day travelling. Ultimately we decided to leave without eating. But, by this time it was too late to get a table anywhere else in Town. Would definitely not recommend.

Excellent service, parking & delicious food

We were a large party, who had pre-ordered food prior to arriving. Service was good considering limited staff, they did they're best so do not fault them at all. Food was ok, some portion sizes were disappointing including the hummus starter and risotto main, so don't pick them if u have a large appetite. As always with puds they're is never enough ice cream served- (why places skrimp on this always astounds me). Atmosphere was good but that was more down to the party size, venue is nice enough. The worse thing about the place was that they ran out of gas for the beer so soon after arriving we had to switch to bottle beer which they also then ran out. Such a shame. We ended up leaving and popping up the road to the oak which had plenty of beer including great Guinness.

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful old building. Parking at the back of the hotel which is always a must. Good price, nice Staff. Room was clean and comfortable. For me personally more tea/coffe/milk in the room plus biscuits would be nice. The soaps/shampoo etc a bit awkward to use as they were screwed to the wall. Would recommend.

Low end meal, meagre undercooked veg, not high quality meat, uncrispy roasters. Only went to spend a voucher somebody gave me. So sad it used to be a great Loch Fyne, now this. Only the staff redeemed the place., along with pleasant surroundings.

Been here a few times and always find the food and beer to be excellent. Service is good and staff are friendly and attentive. Overall been very good visits with tasty food and solid service.

A very poor Sunday meal. Hard (uncuttable) cauliflower, bullet Brussels and under stewed 'slow cooked' beef cheek (one great fatty lump that my husband ate to avoid it going to waste). Peas were served as 'seasonal vegetables'. How can this be an accurate description? Peas are not seasonal in December! I had no choice but to eat the under cooked vegetables and leave hungry. We only visited because someone had given us a voucher. We spent more than the voucher value on food that wasn't fit for consumption. Very poor. The only saving grace was that the service was great. Such a shame that the great staff have to serve such awful food (not their fault, so chose not to moan). Th chef should also be mindful not to serve food (in this case my husband's side order) in unhygienic chipped table wear). We won't be returning.

We booked a table for three adults and chose the Festive Menu. Service was excellent, especially from the dark haired woman with the tattoos (I'm really sorry, you probably did tell us your name and I've forgotten)! Warm and friendly staff and the restaurant area was nicely decorated and felt welcoming. Unfortunately they didn't have the sauce for my husband's Prawn Starter so they gave him extra prawns so he was happy. They also didn't have the Pudding I'd chosen but our server recommended the Cookie Dough Cheesecake which came with chocolate ice cream and berry compote. She said it was good and it was! Due to the issues with some items not being available, (despite pre-ordering) we were also offered a free round of drinks as a gesture of goodwill. All of the courses were really good and we had more than enough food with plenty of turkey for our main course. My husband really enjoyed his main course (the cod). We really enjoyed our meals and would definitely return to eat here again when in the area. Thank you.

Really lovely hotel and pub/restaurant with real character, charismatic staff and a decent menu. We also stayed in the hotel and had a great nights sleep. Bed was comfy, the shower was hot and the towels were nice quality. Would recommend if you are visiting or travelling through.

Popped in for a rather sombre family lunch and Liam and the team were absolutely incredible, like they couldn’t do enough to look after us. We had a wonderful time and he had us all laughing by the end of the meal, and we all left in high spirits. If you want to dine somewhere you feel they really take care of you, this pub is the place to be. Thanks again Liam, keep up the good work!

I visited the Abbey Field with my young son for lunch on Monday. Ricky was fantastic with my son, who can be an awkward eater. He was polite, friendly & provided exceptional service. We would visit again just to see Ricky!!!

Much better than expected I heard locally that they’ve had a new manager this year and some friends have had a good time in both the bar and restaurant so we decided to give it a go after not being there for 18 months because of some poor experiences.
