Abbey Field in Warwick

Not often I give a full 5 stars. Food to start was spot on. Absolutely zero faults. Stake and ale pie, mash was buttery, veg was actually seasoned not just plain boiled, the pastry and pie filling was exquisite. The server (maya) was amazing. Helpful, knowledgeable, bubbly and gave the true service with a smile experience. I will definitely be coming back many times.

Had a great meal with the family. Lamb was lovely.

Great bar/restaurant with a great atmosphere and really friendly staff. Dylan is always really helpful and kind. The food is lovely and the dog station in the bar is great.

Visited today because I drove down to see my son at uni , chose this pub because it was next to abbey fields that we walked first, and because its dog friendly inside. Absolutely delicious 😋 food and reasonably Priced too. Little doggy station in there too with water and treats.

Steak and Ale Pie for me. Sea bass for my partner. Both meals served promptly and by cheerful staff. The Green king IPA we had was well presented too.

Sunday the 12th of January had the trio of fish to be told no prawns Got extra sprouts.. no discount off service was stretched but wont recommend it as tiny potion left hungry it took 55mins to get served food very disappointed to say the least! Nice looking pub.. lovely around the bar area,The waitress sat us away from everyone even tho lots of nicer tables free to use we also noticed lots of spider cases and fly poop all over the Ceiling in the corner also till kept beeping very Loudly it was really annoying while trying too eat & have a nice Conversation… very bad value mine was £21.00 for a small plate & hardly any fish and 3 Potatoes.. Sunday dinner with beef was better value it said it would be served pink it was over cooked and dry but we Just wanted to get out So we didn’t complain.. And also short staffed so maybe we are unlucky?? okay, they invited us back with a voucher And it was 100 times better, And the food was nice and better service and better table… Very generous and kind and corrected those wrongs, So feel I will let my stars as Kenilworth as well is definitely worth a visit… I would now go back to Abbey field for a Sunday dinner…

Highly recommend this pub ,nestled off Kenilworth highstreet. Staff were very friendly, good choice of menu for adults and kids ,reasonable priced. Atmosphere nice and cosy. The food was delicious! Best roast ive had. Definitely visiting again. Car parking available.

A lovely lunch with a friend We had a great meet up here. The service from Charlotte & Rickie was fab. I had the Seabass & my friend had the Cumberland sausage and both were delicious. This pub has really improved in the last 6 months !! We will be returning soon.

No staff, poor service, 20 minutes to serve drinks. Food also took a long time to arrive and was poor not hot, complained about two dishes the problem was obviously aware to staff, as price of same was immediately deleted from bill. Table booked for 81st birthday, obviously evening spoilt because of same.

Really enjoyable evening with friends and the staff and the food was amazing as always Nicole and Dillon were really nice and made our evening even better.

Amazing vegan and plant based options. Was very surprised! The plant-based English breakfast was fantastic, as was the vegan wellington. I'll definitely go back.

Oh where do I begin? The food was impeccable, I heard the chefs name was Sté, big shoutout. The star of the show however had to be our waitress, Nicole. What a star. What an abbey field hero. She was polite and fast with service and struck up conversation throughout our enjoyable meal. Will be returning.

Served by Ricky and Charlie for lunch today. The service was fantastic! Had a really great chat with Ricky, and he made sure that we were looked after. The Duo of chicken was perfect, will be ordering again. Had dinner last night, served by Dylan and cooked perfectly by Mack. The atmosphere was great and the staff were very friendly. A lovely place to be, will be visiting again soon.

Stayed in the pub for two nights. Nice and warm. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Family room shower over the bath 90° to the long wall was a little tricky to fit in, especially for tall people. But worked fine and everything was nice and clean. Didn't eat in the evening so can't comment on pub food.

Always LOVE the Abbey Fields. Special shout out for Liam the chef tonight and Dylan our host for the evening. Stunning as ever. Been coming here for years!

Poor portion size for Sunday roasts. Turkey portion was acceptable and tasty, but 4 tiny roast potatoes, a small blob of mashed swede, the advertised seasonal vegetables was an irrelevant amount of shredded cabbage? There was literally no greens on the plate, about a fifty pence diameter "taste" of stuffing, and the yourkie was like rubber. Equally frustrating was there was no option to buy extra veg (only cauliflower cheese) or extra potatoes? So I actually ended up ordering a portion of chips. Lucky I did. My partner is 6.5 stones and she commented its not a very big meal. I just don't get it, potatoes cost penny's, yet here and their sister pub the old mill in Coventry serve borderline kids portions to adults where a few extra spuds would cost little and fill you up. Either put more food on the plate, or provide an option to buy it as extra. There are plenty of places competing for punters, the majority we visit seem to try to leave the customer with a contented full belly. The previous 2 weeks we've eaten at the clarendon Arms down the road. Their similarly priced roasts are far bigger and far tastier in similarly basic surroundings. That said, food was prompt, staff polite, and food hot.

I've been to The Abbey Field several times now, each time the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The interior is very cosy and comfortable, and the prices are better than other pubs and restaurants in the area. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food at a fair price, be it for mid-week lunch or for a nice evening meal.

Had my birthday celebrations with some close friends. Food was HOT as were the PLATES (shout out to other restaurants, get your act together)! Staff were attentive and friendly, even Chef came out which was great! You know, if your good get out and meet your public! Thats why its called hospitality. Every member of staff 'shone' a far cry from a year or so ago, well done! Great pub atmosphere going on with drop in with a dog community, complete with Dog station. Something for everyone! See you very soon!

Excellent food with a good soundtrack (The Clash [twice!], Simple Minds and Bowie). One of the items was not available but a more than adequate substitute was provided. Friendly service from Nicole; when there was a problem with the bill she rectified it straight away.

For my wedding I needed a place to house the Grooms party. Following a great experience staying at the Abbey Fields for a friend’s wedding. I selected this destination. The booking was a touch complex but I got there as rooms were only available a year out and booking for 8 rooms or more required additional processes and rates. However on landing the 20 individuals at the location things went very smoothly and the team there were great managing all the differing needs of the families of multiple age groups. The food situation was, as always complex with 20. and there were some hiccups with the pre booked dinner. But breakfast on the two morning was fantastic. All in all we were well looked after and would recommend.

We didn't get food as we were just using their toilets as the village toilets were closed but we bought a drink out of courtesy and it was a very lovely place and very friendly and welcoming.

The Abbey Field sits on the main road, on a Sunday evening it serves food to 9.30pm, which is not true for all pubs locally. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.. plenty so no need to book. Good menu with a special board. Good sized portions served quickly. Quality is high and is good enough for taking your parents, good friend or a date. Staff could not be any nicer, attentive but not annoying. Fair prices for the meal and drinks so £25 per person for two courses and drink. Look at the Greene king APP for deals and discounts. Park in the nearby car park or in a side street and walk a bit further. Good walks nearby, also the old Abbey Field and ruins.

Had Sunday lunch & the staff were friendly & helpful, the roast beef dinner was tasty but the trio of mini British desserts was to die for!

Quaint English Pub with a wide selection of beers. Plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside. Equipped with a restaurant room where you can taste good traditional English dishes accompanied by delicious beers. Good selection of spirits and gins. The desserts are also excellent.

Absolutely lovely place to visit. Have been multiple times and each time I have had a great experience. I visited with my friend for lunch and had the most beautiful steak! They were so accommodating for my friend who was gluten free. The team at abbey field are lovely especially Ryan and Lee who provided wonderful service. They also advised the chef is name was ste! Would highly recommend!

Although we've lived in Kenilworth for a while, this was our first time going to the abbey field. It's a lovely pub and the barman, Dylan, was really friendly. We'll definitely be returning for food.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days and were able to enjoy some dishes and breakfast. The staff is sincerely adorable and attentive, it is good to have a drink and rest, however the walls of the rooms are very poorly insulated, you risk hearing your neighbor snoring. Everything is clean and efficient thank you for your welcome

This is a lovely pub, we come for late Sunday lunch every now and then, using our clubcard vouchers. Service is always great and the decor and cleanliness is also really attractive. The food is mostly good with the odd time when the standard isn't up to scratch; the most recent visit produced a very small portion of barely cooked veg with the roast dinner but overall it was tasty and filling.

Attended for special Birthday lunch. The food order for the children was incomplete. The roast meals were very disappointing microwaved meat, very watery and incomplete. The waiting time was unacceptable and terrible service. Having been a regular customer when the venue was under better management it is such a shame to have had a bad experience . Definitely won't be going back again.

I went with my friends to this pub for dinner recently. The food was really good and we really enjoyed our evening. Ryan was an amazing bartender with a great sense of humour and brought our drinks promptly. His service was amazing and I look forward to coming back soon!

My waiter Ryan was absolutely incredible! 10/10 service, very easy to talk to and extremely welcoming to all of us at the table. Made us feel very comfortable and he was very attentive to our needs. I had a right laugh with Ryan, the best waiter I’ve had at The Abbey and I'm a regular. His service added to the amazing night I had here, he deserves a pay rise!

I ate here for breakfast and dinner for 3 nights/4 days and the service has been amazing. Food was delicious and portions were generous (thoroughly recommend fish and chips, the wild mushroom starter. and the sausage and mash!) Staff were friendly and approachable - shout out to Tom, he served me twice and was a great server. Would recommend and would come here again if I ever visit Kenilworth

Went in for a meal last night and not only was the food great but the service was too, for a busy Wednesday, our waiter Ryan managed to stay on top of it and still provide such excellent service, The Abbey is lucky to have him. Thanks for the food, drinks and service.

My 3rd visit for a perfectly cooked late lunch from the specials menu. The chef is clearly excellent and delivers food to a level way above standard pub fare. Having previously enjoyed beautifully cooked hake with capers, this time I tried the honey and thyme roast chicken. It was perfect, the skin tasty and crispy, and the meat absolutely perfectly cooked. In fact, the chicken was so juicy when I first cut into it, that just for a moment I thought it might be undercooked in the middle, but no, it was perfectly done & freshly presented and so completely different to the dry, overcooked lump of protein that is so often served up. The accompanying vegetables were equally good, a vibrant and tasty mix of greens and new potatoes sauted with crispy bacon - fab! I'm not usually a fan of chain pubs with their standard menu and ingredients, but a good chef cooking with skill and flair makes a world of difference. Please don't let him be tempted elsewhere!

I came in today and I had the best experience with the bartender called Ryan. He was so sweet and when he gave me the review card at the bar I had to write one. He’s wonderful at conversation and he really made sure that my friend and I were enjoying our time and the drinks were so fresh. My large glass of creation was beautiful. Will definitely have to come again

Myself and my wife Deb have been going to the Abbey Field for a long time as we love the location but it was going downhill, luckily ever since Lee has arrived as the manager its had a massive turn around, he is great at what he does, his team is great especially Connor who is so welcoming, the service has improved so much that we look forward to going there and am proud to call it our local, keep up the good work guys

We did not enjoy the trio of roast meats or the 7 day aged beef rib. The meat was very disappointing and absolutely tiny portions of roast potatoes and carrots were provided. To their credit they did provide extra quantities after I complained but the overall experience was very disappointing. I will not be returning.

Yesterday evening I had attended the Abbey Field for a meal and drink with my family. We had decided to sit down within a cosy part of the bar area. We approached the bar and was greeted by possibly the nicest member of staff ive ever encountered, he told me his name was Ryan. We had an interesting conversation about what to drink before clubbing lol. But in all seriousness he was amazing and such a great addition to The Abbey Field, couldnt have been better. The food was also absolutley beautiful and reasonably priced, will be 100% back.

Excellent lunch. Steak sandwich. Great chips and fantastic gravy. The sandwich was overflowing with steak. Would definitely recommend.
