Took a lunch break at this restaurant whilst out shopping and it was just right. Quite spacious inside and has a cafe feel. We ordered Aloo puri, masala dosa, aloo tikki chaat and chilli mogo. The only downfall was the hot drinks. The coffee was hardly coffee and the masala chai was about 2 sips in the tiniest cup. Also service with a smile would be nice. Saying this I would still eat here as the food was tasty.

I visited Aahar restaurant with my friend and ordered for Chole Bhatura, Poori sabji, drinks and some sweets. The order which was prepared was very quick. Manager( Hemant) visited us and provided great attention and made sure that all the guests were given importance. I would recommend everyone to visit and try freshly prepared food. I would try to visit Aahar every time, whilst i visit Southall as this will be my favourite place for indian food.

Lots of choice, nice tasty food, friendly staff. The only thing is that everything is spicy, so not always good for a child - cue the raita and milkshake!

Wonderful place to eat. We were recommended by a few local clothing stores and the food was just lovely! Great taste reminding me of how my fiancé cooks and surprisingly inexpensive!

The worst place ever I tried, staff who took the order was attentive but it’s took almost 1 hr 20 to get the food on the table. Once the order has taken and after 20 minutes the guy came and said they ran out of some dishes. And even after that they missed the paneer Manchurian and none of the staff know about the missing food. Even manager was not eager to know and seems like he doesn’t care about business. The table who came 20 minutes after us also got the order earlier than us. We came from the other side of London to try some of the nice Indian food but it’s not that good experience.

This has to be the best Indian food in Southall. I've been here several times and it has never disappointed. Great service and delicious food. This place serves various dishes that I haven't found on other Indian restaurant menus - truly delicious and reasonably priced. The aloo tikka chaat, garlic naan and masala dosas are just a few of my favourites. It's also fully licensed if you like a glass of wine or beer with your meal. Highly recommended!

Food service not good. Staff do not understand . Good asked for baby with no spice x 2. 2nd time sugar added without consulting. Baby vegan advised by MANAGER little bit of GHEE ok.? Vegan means no Diary products ghee is made from Butter. Before ordering asked if food is vegan took waitress 5 minutes to check. When asked if Dhal the lentil dish could be made with NO chillies as for 15 Month old. Baby advised yes. However received x2 with spice. Teaspoon requested x2 Samosa requested order had to be repeated to 3 waitress . Don’t go there I would not even give it a 1 star rating

We wanted to eat in a vegetarian restaurant that’s why we landed there. Upon entering the place, greasy and cooking smell was everywhere. Ordering of drinks came half half and one never made its appearance despite going to the counter and asking twice. Dosa was soft, coconut chutney sour, only the sambar was okay. Slack service. Poor environment.

I popped in briefly after work and was greeted kindly. Service was attentive and helpful. The food arrived promptly and was of a high quality. Was slightly strange that starter and main arrived together but taste was very good. Very good prices for someone used to central London prices.

Amazing place to eat dosa with family and friends. Although the waitresses/waiters need a bit more customer service training.

We have been here with Family & Friends as we were looking for Pure Vegetarian Restaurant. Being a big group we ordered multiple items including Tea, South Indian, North Indian and Thali. All the items were tasty except one of the paneer sizzler. Although we had to remind the staff to get us something (water, spoon etc), but the restaurant was quite busy in the evening and staff was trying to manage at there best.

We were on the lookout for a pure veg restaurant and though this was a bit far away for us looked to be a decent one. Visited with family and due to the long drive, were quite hungry. We ordered papads with chutneys, mango and salted lassi straight away which were refreshing. Then came what my son termed as the best Paneer tikka he'd ever had. The paneer was nicely marinated to give the slightly tangy taste, nicely cooked and tender on the inside accompanied by grilled onions and peppers. An Indian restaurant offering both North & South Indian food in the UK is a rarity and Aahar served Dosas for my daughter while the rest of us chose the Indian breads and paneer curries. The paneer dosa was huge and my daughter was unequal to the task and chose to pack half of it to eat for dinner. The onion kulcha and butter naan were nicely prepared and fully cooked (not uncommon for these breads to be thick and have an inner layer that isn't fully done). The paneer curry was creamy and delicious. The kids still wanted to have dessert and chose a chocolatey ice cream with a ferrero rocher topping which they loved. Good service throughout and friendly staff made sure that our request for non-spicy food was carried out. We would recommend to anyone seeking vegetarian food and we will definitely visit agan.

Went for lunch there for 3 main reasons 1-it has a prominent spot in Southall 2-It’s vegetarian 3-To try somewhere different than our usual It has the hype(ie website) and (maybe-according to your taste)the style but NOT the substance. Food -atrocious Service-classic-‘yes sir’ to every request ,but not actually doing what was asked. Starters-samosa-warm on the outside ,lukewarm inside -not hot enough My wife ordered soya ,it came with WARMED/hot cucumber slices!!!(as bad an idea as warm/hot lettuce) For main I was given the wrong saag-never eat it The tea and coffee came in dolls house size cups, and no brown sugar for coffee. Had to repeatedly ask waiter for things Did not enjoy ANY of the food In all honesty I felt sorry for the waiter because all he did was serve the food ,but he has to listen to customer complaints. The food was reasonably priced but I would rather pay more for food that is edible A wholly terrible experience-will not darken their door again Given the number of restaurants in Southall I do wonder how places like this exist This experience explains why many Indians prefer to eat a proper Punjabi homemade curry rather than pay good money for pretentious over priced fake Indian food.

We had a lovely time at the restaurant with family today. Food is great. We had a selection of starters and mains. Love the momos and Gobi Manchurian especially. Only thing let down is the service due to lack of staff we had to wait for a Long time for the staff to clear the table after each course. At the end we had a cake for our niece and it took them ages to bring it out despite repeated reminders. If you sort out your service this is first rate restaurant for veg food.

Last minute booking rather than take out on NYE. It looks empty from outside due to high back chairs but that’s privacy and it was really busy. Good selection of alcoholic /non alcoholic drinks. Mocktail - pina colada was amazing and we’ve tasted quite a few! We tried so many dishes and breads. Flavours authentic. Staff humble - recommend mixed veg keema, makhani and Tadka daals all the breads were amazing. Omg and the paneer chow mein noodles are a meal on their own. Definitely go again and take away. Soooo glad there’s a veggie place amongst all the meat ones - Finally !!! Oh and there’s a party place to hire downstairs AND free parking at the back!

The best Singapore noodles outside of Chinatown, and great fat vegetable pancake roll, backed up with thick slices of roast pork char Sui on a bed of cabbage. Very good portions and ready for the take away in 10 minutes.
