Popped in here with my son during a commute from Victoria Park to our house. A very traditional establishment which looks like it’s survived through many years, which is a good sign. Inside, nothing fancy at all but very warm and relaxed. I ordered two Hot Chocolate’s and two bits of Traybake along side. The drinks were spot on - the old man that served us even brought a cup of Milk and straw so that my son’s could be made child friendly. I can’t comment on the wee man’s Millionaire’s Shortbread but my Butter Tablet was, unfortunately, harder than a brick. The guy that served us was lovely - a proper gentleman. Our order came to just short of £8.00, making it an inexpensive and worthwhile visit. A decent little neighbourhood café!

Simply put, this is the best place to buy ice cream in this area of Glasgow. When I was growing up there were many cafes in the city and across Scotland producing ice cream that tasted like this... nowadays they are few and far between. A Tomasso is one of the few remaining Scottish-Italian cafes that I can see (there used to be one between Shawlands and Newlands too, might still be there) . If you know that flavour, that smell, that texture, then you'll simply love this place - buy a tub and take it home, he keeps them in the freezer ready made fresh that day. If you're visiting Glasgow, get a taste of what Italian-Scottish ice cream tasted / tastes like now. Sadly I guess there will come a day when you won't be able to buy this anymore. A gem, 5 stars. I think Jordanhill is the nearest station, well worth the trip.

According to the owner this place has been around longer than I'm alive, and I am old. It looks like a neighbourhood institution, as I noticed as a visitor that (a) it's situated right on a well-travelled route to the Jordanhill School, and (b) it's extremely well-stocked in sweets, candies, crisps, and bottles of Irn-Bru. Notwithstanding, there's house-made ice cream in all flavours of vanilla, and I treated myself to a waffle cone and conversation. Go ahead...if you're in the vicinity, treat yourself.

Anyone visiting Glasgow and likes Ice cream should visit here I visit every time I'm back in Glasgow and I'm never disappointed I don't know when it opened but I am sure I had ice cream from here in the early 70s It's very retro in decor and it's vanilla ice cream is made in small batches on the premises and is absolutely fantastic. I never vary and always have a single nougat Make sure you have time for a chat with the owner ,he is so friendly and is a fount of knowledge Do not miss out on a visit

Hadn’t been here for a few years and visited today for lunch. The lunch menu is incredible value, £12:95 for three courses and the food was superb. Starters were bruschetta and pate, both excellent. Main courses Italian sausage pizza and bolognaise al forno again excellent, for dessert Tiramisu and sticky toffee sundae both fantastic. All in all incredible value for excellent food, definitely going back sometime soon.

Absolutely atrocious service. I went in to buy some pastries for my colleagues for breakfast; another customer barged in front of me while I was looking at the pastries on offer… so the staff member asked “who’s next” (well he should have known); when I pointed out it was my turn, he argued it was this other customer’s turn… sorry but if you were so adamant you knew whose turn it was, why did you even ask??? Anyway I politely pointed out it was my turn, I was told it wasn’t (it was), and then after standing my ground, I had to hear them apologise to the other customer… for real??? All of this to get charged £7 for 4 mini sfogliatelle that were actually so rotten that my Italian colleagues thought I was trying to poison them; they were literally dryer and crumblier than Rishi Sunak’s cabinet. What a joke.
