I was there this morning with some friends for coffee in the basement. Some of us decided to try brunch/ lunch. I ordered Baked spiced aubergine which is obviously vegetarian. The aubergine was old and mushy, nothing like freshly baked. There were some yellow parsley with old pomegranate. It became even worse when I tasted the puffy rice. It tasted completely like bacon which I had to spit it out! Obviously everything is fried in the same old oil! The whole dish was quite disgusting. I do not understand why they’re even allowed to serve such food. My friend had chicken with sweet potato fries. She also was quite unhappy too and didn’t eat it. Although they agreed to take this dish off the bill, I was quite disgusted with the dish that I had to thoroughly wash my mouth. I would not recommend this place for food at all.

Amazing options for dishes, great lighting and chill atmosphere to catch up with friends or have a solo meal. LOVE the Benedict - will definitely coming back!!!

Amazing experience. Now I understand why everybody is talking about this brunch spot. I suggest to book in advance for the weekend because is very hard to find space.

It’s a nice place. I go there from time to time. However, depending on the team that services the place, the experience may vary: they could decide to close down earlier unexpectedly or the choice of music could be questionable (too loud / too disco for a place like this). This inconsistency makes it unfortunate. Otherwise, a nice place, especially if you’re looking to talk with somebody one-on-one.

Comfortable and pleasant downstairs. The food was delicious, and good portions: my only criticism was having to return my eggs which were over cooked. The coffee was excellent, and service was friendly and efficient.

We had lunch here yesterday and the food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. Equally importantly, their service was on point. We were so happy with our experience that we went back for dinner as well! We had olives and squid to start which were delicious and had the steak and chips. We found the food once again to be really good. If you are partial to margaritas they do a pear and ginger margarita which is divine. The service was outstanding. They made sure we had everything we needed/wanted. We will definitely be back. Special thanks to the manager on duty who made sure we were looked after and made our wedding anniversary celebration as wonderful and enjoyable as it was (we only told him it was a special occasion at the end of the evening).

This place is great for causal after work drinks. The cocktails in the happy hour are all super nice and all came with lush garnishes. The food came super quick and was very delicious. The waiter Daniel ensured we had a nice time and Mario was amazing at the cocktails. Thank you so much to the team, we will be back again and again!!

Had the chalk stream trout and hot tea. Trout was fresh and delicious. Only gripe is that the portion was so small and could have had more sides. Ambience was nice and there were two levels. Bar was downstairs.

Atrocious reception. Two of us walked in at 5.10pm for a very early supper because we hadn’t eaten all day. In an almost empty restaurant we were told we could only sit at a very tiny table. Why?! So we went over the road to Fish Works, where we were made very welcome and given a most superior supper, served by an immaculate waiter, and we were out by 6pm.

Popped in for 2 oat coffee's and my husband had a huge croissant. Very friendly staff and service was great. I have one bug bare and it's your service charge I am fed up with cafés and restaurants adding this on. If you have good service you leave a tip usually in a tip tray and the staff not the owners should share it. What happens if you have a terrible service I don't see why you should have to pay a service tip. Even though it was a good experience it's very doubtful that we will return due to the ridiculous service add on.

Came here for the first time with some work colleagues for lunch. The restaurant is nicely decorated. It’s quite small but has a nice atmosphere. The food was lovely but I did find it hard to get anyone’s attention to order more drinks… so we didn’t order as many as we normally would have. They also never brought over dessert menus and it got to the point we needed to leave. Shame as we could have easily spent another £100 if the staff were a bit more attentive. Other than that, it was good and I’d go back!
