28-50 Wine Workshop & Kitchen South Kensington in Kensington and Chelsea

This restaurant has a great interior and the atmosphere is good, however the food was just normal, nothing great I am sorry I was expecting more for the beauty of the place.

The service culture was poor. Felt like staff were doing us a favour providing the most basic service (and long faces all round). Food was not good. Several dishes were very oily and left two of the party with nausea. £186 poorer now as a family. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere (there are many better options nearby).

I had just finished the activity part of my date and was ready for dinner. I booked this restaurant a MONTH IN ADVANCE, WITH MULTIPLE CONFIRMATIONS VIA EMAIL & TEXT only to be greeted with an empty restaurant. I was so frustrated that I had to walk back to the station and find somewhere else. It would have been nice if I was told WAY BEFORE and told to book at the Chelsea branch. 😡

The high tables are uncomfortable. Menu was limited, we both ordered the mushroom dish which was tasty. The service is good, I’d just say maybe take it easy on the wine suggestions by the sommelier. The place is quite dark in the evening, maybe to give an ambience, but we had to use our phone torch to read the menus. This place may be better for couples perhaps, on a romantic date. I don’t suggest for friends going out in this area.

This was close to where we had a flat in the summer. So we went back a few times since then. A really classy, modern European food restaurant, with a great wine list and very professional, but not stand-offish staff. The complementary bubbly at the beginning of each meal was an added bonus. We typically had a shared starter and main with a cocktail and wine. It was great that they use a Coravin, so they can serve high quality wines by the glass. Very handy if yiu don't want to buy a whole bottle, but want an interesting wine. The grilled prawns were absolutely magnificent. The other dishes were good too, but the prawns were the standout.

Christvie & Eve were really attentive and lovely. The food was also delicious - we ate more than we needed!

Not happy with the quality of the food: the fondue, for example, was not thickening properly. The other dishes were very ordinary. Bread not very fresh. Very unexperienced staff. Average ambience.

Our 2nd visit and everything was perfect. Front of house Tom, Zayden and Michael did everything to make the evening one to remember. Everyone was so friendly and engaging and the atmosphere was so lovely. This is a beautiful looking restaurant with food to match, thanks too Miguel and the rest of the kitchen team. Both my husband and started with the crab salad followed by mussels and hake. Leaving too for desserts of Autumn Mess and Apple Crumble. Each course was amazing and would highly recommend. Highly recommend this place. We will be back soon for sure.

The staff was really bad (spilled the drinks all over the table), the food (especially the fondue) almost inedible

Great service by Beth and great food and atmosphere. Just passed by and thought it looked a great menu. Chorizo starter was delicious and my Burger was meaty and tasty.

Good selection of seafood- had multiple sharing plates of crab salad, goat cheese salad, the Sole menuire was good as was the prawns dish . The arancini, artichoke tempura was average. The artichoke tasted as if out of a jar that was then battered and deep fried. Good selection of wines- the klein Constantina red was excellent and the Saumur was good. Lighting was far too low for dining.

Sitting outside on a beautiful summer night, enjoying great food and wine. Very nice little place in a great area of town

Fabulous service and wonderful food. Will definitely return. Exquisite burrata and the freshest of fennel and radish salads.

This place was recommended by the hotel concierge and though we had a bit of a time finding it, the food and service received was well worth it. We entered to a festive dining room and friendly smiles. And, a glass of champagne! I had the sole and my wife had a steak. Both were cooked to perfection and the sides were generous (the roasted potatoes were my favorite.) Would definitely go again.

Has chosen this restaurant for a very special occasion to celebrate with family of four incl. 2 kids. The only suitable dish for kids on the menu was not available. The table was far too small for four people. Arrogant attitude did spoil our mood....

Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant - open doorways, quiet. However with 6 tables seated, we could not understand why it took an hour to receive our starters and another hour for mains. While the foodies can argue that I shouldn't want a well done...

Delicious food, great selection of wine and helpful staff. Prices were reasonable given the Chelsea location. I would go back on a special occasion.

Good welcome, great service (clue in the title of this review) , inviting menu which delivered on taste and a good wine list. The surroundings and ambience completed We were really pleased with our choice for our post-lockdown London dinner and would very much recommend.
