Fabulous food, tasty and amazing spices. Had a note in food apologising if it was cold but was pipping hot and delicious. Great staff and service. Must try this place

Regular diner here and have had mixed experiences. Sometimes the food is not up to much, sometimes it is OK. It is always priced a bit more than it is worth. The service varies too and can be slow, even when they are not busy. Today my Saturday treat was very disappointing. The food was poor. The desert, at £9.50, was not edible. I ordered "Classic Affogata" which came as a cold sludge of ice cream in a wine glass. No evidence of any espresso or any liqueur. Clearly someone read the recipe but had no idea about execution. Serving today was a male waiter who is a bit scary. Have been served by him before but not sure I would ever want to be served by him again. I held back the service charge which I never usually do. This was partly because of the strange server but also because I wasnt going to fight over the cost of the desert I didn't eat. (Still shocked that they could charge almost £10 and serve something as horrible as that!) There is not a lot of competition in Wakefield but this restaurant will have to ask some serious questions about quality, service and pricing if they want to survive where so many places close down.
