Robert Stewarts

Drumbo, Lisburn, 20-30£
14/04/2019: We had an lunch in Bob Stewarts recently, and it showed yet again why this is one of our favourite restaurants. The quality and quantity of the food is, as always, superb, service is both friendly and efficient and, while not the cheapest place to eat, it still represents very good value. Added to this, they also serve an excellent pint of Guinness.
29/03/2019: My husband and I made a reservation prior to our arrival. We asked could we be seated in the little snug as it was our anniversary, which they were more than happy to accommodate.

Daft Eddies

Killinchy, Ards
12/04/2019: A party of three, we enjoyed an early supper at Daft Eddy's, situated next to the ruins of Sketrick Castle and overlooking Strangford Loch.
11/04/2019: Beautiful! Great staff , beautiful views fabulous food and catered for my fussy 3 year old! Haven’t been since I was a child but can’t wait to go back!

The Smugglers Table

Killyleagh, Down
04/04/2019: Dropped into The Smugglers Table this afternoon for a spot of lunch having heard great things about it and wasn’t disappointed. My partner and I ordered the burger and the fish pie. Both dishes were top notch but if you like fish I can’t recommend the fish pie highly enough. Shared a dessert of apple and blackberry crumble with custard. Fantastic!
31/03/2019: The Smugglers Table really is excellent - the menu isn't huge, but it's great food well cooked and presented. There's a very friendly atmosphere and the staff are lovely. It's small, so it's always advisable to book a table. We've never been disappointed in our meal here.

Ballymaglave, Down, <20£
17/04/2019: Have not been to the Primrose for a long long time but we were not disappointed.
14/04/2019: Recommended by friends to come here, and what an excellent recommendation it was!! Stunning decor, splendid food and a lively atmosphere. From the moment we stepped foot through the door Kevin and the staff attended our every need. Would highly recommend the Hake, Creme Brûlée and house white. STUNNING !!

10/03/2019: Ate here for the first time on saturday night. Everything was perfect! Service, food, cocktails, atmosphere, value etc couldnt be faulted. We had steak tartare, whitebait, pork belly, special steak and prawns, chocolate fondant and sticky toffee pudding. We cant wait to go back!
10/03/2019: My daughter and I decided to take a wee trip here to try out the two courses early bird menu. Have to say we were both blown away! An amazing foodie place, no scrimping on portions, lovely staff and a wee gem in the countryside. I’m going back next week with all my family for mum n daughters birthdays and I hope to have a great experience again. Just a top place to go for great food. Loved it!! Think we will be regulars

The Ava Grill Restaurant

Harbour, North Down, >100£
18/04/2019: We don’t normally get out for Sunday lunch but when we had the chance we decided to give the AVA a go, we took advantage of the two course deal which runs on a Sunday. I opted for the mussels in a garlic cream sauce which were absolutely delicious, I had the cod for my main and was so happy with my meal. My partner had the traditional Sunday roast and we also had our 1 year old who loved the hotdog and almost ate everything it was that good. We thought they service was friendly and were great With our little one, they had live music playing in the main part of the restaurant. Really enjoyed our family lunch and will be back.
13/04/2019: Lovely food no issues will be back friendly staff drinks food all was very fast and staff where lovely

Yellow Heifer

Rathfriland, Banbridge
13/04/2019: This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food never disappoints. We started by sharing the goats cheese which was so good and then we had the lamb and the beef. All dishes cooked to perfection. For desert I had the baked Alaska and I can honestly say it was one of the best deserts I have ever had. Open fire beside us, this was a very enjoyable meal. I would recommend the Yellow Heifer. Worth the trip wherever you are coming from.
30/03/2019: Been here a few times and it's the best place I can think of where I've been, there's always a wow factor with each dish I've tried and the staff are great very helpful with a (spirited child) the place looks great, spotless and lots of little touches here and there add to the ambiance, if you like your food and are sick of house chicken specials and ceaser salads then try this place, looking forward to returning, keep up the good work, and a word to the chefs thanks

Base Coffee Company

Donard, Down
31/03/2019: Booked the basement for our Y Zone staff team evening away. Superb food, coffee & venue. Charlie & his staff offered the most amazing welcome & service. Have visited Base Coffee Company many times and can say this is our favourite coffee shop in the world. All our staff team loved this place and have asked when are we going back? Thanks Charlie, Kerry, Jenny, Sarah, & Paul (Tum). Awesome!
31/03/2019: Very friendly and accomadating coffee, excellent and deserts are to die for, call in you won't be disappointed.

The Quays Restaurant

Portavogie, Ards
13/04/2019: I just can't believe we have driven past so often and not stopped. Seafood was excellent, and the sizzling steak looked wonderful too. Portions were hearty, food piping hot and delicious, service friendly and efficient. View from our table hard to beat on this glorious if windy April day. What more could you ask for.
07/04/2019: 11 of us went out for a meal, one being a vegan. We all had an excellent food and lots of it. The vegan meal was very nice and she was well pleased. I have never been disappointed with the Quays and again has produced excellent fresh well cooked meals. Thanks guys.

French's Cafe and Bistro

Seaforde, Down
19/04/2019: Went here for our granddaughters holy communion meal the food was beautiful
12/04/2019: Another lovely meal at French’s Bistro.

Ballyhanwood, Castlereagh
31/03/2019: We went today for a Mother’s Day Breakfast to Binkys on a whim. I saw online that they had a varied menu for brekkie with a lot of different options as we were a party of 3- one fry lover, one sweet options like waffles/pancakes etc and one veggie- we wanted somewhere to satisfy all tastes and I hoped Binkys would hit the spot!!
19/03/2019: Whilst this is a nice restaurant, I think some of the prices are a bit ott. The vice is dearer than any other restaurant I've been in. And almost £4 for a slice of cake. And the same for a sausage bap? Sorry but I'll not be rushing back when there are other restaurants just as good and a lot easier on the bank card

Home Sweet Home

Donaghadee North, Ards
19/04/2019: Love it here - warm welcome, tastiest food and always great selection of home baked food including soups, toasties, stews, traybakes and cakes
13/04/2019: A regular venue for a coffee and mars bar scone .. and so warm and friendly ... go and you’ll go again

KooK eatery

Harbour, North Down
07/04/2019: Called in for coffee and a scone on a dull Sunday morning - the welcome was warm and we were quickly served delicious hot coffee and fresh scones. The service was great and the decor was lovely. The place has a great ambiance, helped in no small part by the well chosen music playing in the background. Very impressed. This place gets it right and is definitely on the "must visit again" list. I'm always impressed when I'm offered free top ups and the coffee was flowing freely. We'll done!
28/03/2019: I love coming here, but the service is wonderfully non-consistent. On one hand, we have a Julian Simmons act-a-like, overtly gay and wonderfully chatty and a brilliant host; and on the other hand, the others just seem to be pleasant and get on with their jobs with minimum interaction.

Ballyward, Banbridge
18/04/2019: Unexpected family night out , it’s been a considerable time from we’ve been here . All was great from the quality of food to service, 4 happy customers , well worth a visit , won’t be as long until I’m back
31/03/2019: We have just spent a most enjoyable couple of hours in this warm and welcoming pub/restaurant in the town I was born and bred in. Delicious lunch with my mum, sister and my daughter. The food was amazing! The roast beef dinner was cooked to perfection for my mum and I, and I have to say they really went out of there way to accommodate the vegetarian in the group, offering some off-menu choices for her to choose from. Daughter very happy with her kids meal of chicken goujons and chips. She rates them 10/10 for goujons, the best ever according to her (she ordered another portion once she’d finished her first plate!) Very impressed with the staff and service. Will def be back in a couple of weeks, it’s going to be my regular now for great grub in a cosy environment. Well done Boyles of Dromore.
